Bug in SELECT with multiple ORDER BY DESC
I have the folowing select:
SELECT ITEMKEY,PRICELISTNUMBER,DATF,PRICE,CURRENCY,ID FROM PRICELISTS WHERE ITEMKEY LIKE 'BL52201.54%' AND PRICELISTNUMBER BETWEEN 1 AND 2 ORDER BY ITEMKEY,DATF,PRICELISTNUMBER DESC
And the result is wrong because I want for the same itemkey and date, all price, first with pricelistsnumber=2 the with 1. And in the example bellow you can see that for BL52201.5453903 on date 09-SEP-05 it is one with number 2, then all with number 1 and finaly one with number 2 again.
Anyone know if i can do any combination with group by cus I tryied everything.
If I don't put DESC to pricelistnumber it's OK , but I want number 2, than number 1.

Trying to retrieve the editValue of a list box selection with multiple selections
I have a requirement to display the text and the value of a multiple choice list box but as soon as there are multiple selections the value displayed is the rawValue.
My code is something like this:
verifSubTaskDescID.addItem(this.editValue);
verifSubTaskDesc.addItem(this.rawValue);
When "this" which is a list box with ["a","first"],["b","second"] is set to a or b it works perfectly, displaying "a" in the ID and "first" in the Desc as follows:
a first
OR
b second
but when I select both this list looks like this:
first first
second second
Any ideas on how to preserve the letters without making the code too complex or hard to maintain??

you can use a for loop to get all selected values from a choice list.
This could look like this.
This sample script goes to the exie event of the choice list.
It refers to the dataNode which holds the multiple values.
The for loop the then extracts the selected values and their associated display items.

Bug when dealing with multiple file input elements?
I'm running Apex 4.2 and have an odd problem.
Back Story:
I have created a page on a standard web server (Apache) that allows a user to select multiple images from there local machine. The form reads one file at a time displaying a preview of the image and reading the exif data from the file. We are entering extra data about each picture into a form. So the flow of the page is: user selects images -> first image is displayed and user enters data -> submits data via ajax -> user hits button and next image comes up. The user repeats until all images are done. I have not done the ajax portion but all other parts work fine on the Apache server.
The Problem:
I need to recreate this type of form in Apex. If I create a multiple file input item on a page all the tabs stop working. They take you to a 404 page with the message "The requested URL /apex/wwv_flow.accept was not found on this server ". I have tracked it back to anything calling the apex.submit() javascript function.
Literally if I make a html region and place "<input id="uploadInput" type="file" name="myFiles" multiple>" into the region source the apex.submit() function stops working.

The normal approach to creating forms in APEX is to use declarative page items, or to create items dynamically using the apex_item API. APEX knows how to process these items because they are generated with names matching wwv_flow.accept parameters, but not manually created controls with arbitrary name attributes.
Are you planning on doing all of your form submission via AJAX? (I doubt that APEX will be able to natively handle a file browse control with a multiple attribute.) If so, remove the name="myFiles" attribute. You will still be able to access the control in JS using the ID, but APEX won't see it. -

My name is Shawn and I work for Pfizer, an enterprise client of yours. We have thousands of LifeCycle licenses, but I don't know whom to contact to get support so I'm posting my question here.
I am creating a PDF form that lets the user check a box when the want to select a web metric they need set up for their website. What I'd like to do is, once a user has checked this box (there are over 100), all the boxes they've checked out of the 100 or so metrics pop-up / show up / dynamically generate at the bottom page, and have additional checkboxes next to them for the development teams "eyes only" that they will have to in turn, when the form is emailed to them filled out, select TEST and VERIFY checkbox for each metric showing that they've tested and verified the metric was configured, and then a text field prompting them to say HOW they tested and verified / what method.
How do I do this using LiveCycle?

ShawnWhat you're looking to do is created a dynamic form that changes on the click of a button. This is done through script, and you have a couple of choices, there are several postings in these forms that provide guidance in this area (instancemanager is used for this dynamic capability). Your second option is to use action builder and it will provide guidance for you as well. Click on Tools > Action Builder. Also depending on what version you have install location/EN/Samples/Forms/Purchase Order/Dynamic Interactive may help.

I would consider the Visual Basic syntax (results 2 and 4) at last, as they only add overhead.
The iterator variants require Visual basic 2012 or later. They are lazy evaluated, which has no use here, but in more complex scenarios there can be some advantages.

Scheduled Report - Bug with Multiple Selection LOV parameter
Problem:
I have a scheduled report with a parameter that has it's "Multiple Selection" checkbox checked. I schedule the report with multiple values selected. When I receive the report via email, the report ran as if I only selected one LOV value instead of multiple values.
Facts:
1) Enterprise version 10.1.3.2.1
2) When you run the report manually with multiple values selected in the LOV, it runs great with the correct dataset.
3) This scheduled report does not have a Data Template.

When I select multiple parameters on the "View" screen for a given report, everything works fine.
When I schedule it, however, only the last parameter I clicked on (regardless of whether a select a range or multiple individual values) is passed to the query. The other selections I make are ignored.
What gives? Am I doing something wrong? Is this a bug? Is there a workaround? -

SEQUENCE Select within an SQL Query with an ORDER BY statement
Does anyone know why you cannot use an ORDER BY statement within an SQL query when also selecting from a SEQUENCE? My query was selecting production data as a result of a filtered search. I want to take the results of the filtered search and create a transaction. I have a sequence for generating transaction numbers where I select NEXTVAL. Since I could possibly obtain multiple, yet distinct, rows based upon my search criteria, I wanted to use an ORDER BY statement to simplify and order the resulting row(s).

How to Create one TLB Order manually with multiple deployed STR's
Hello,
We are currently facing an issue when trying to make a TLB manually by right clicking on the deployed STR's.
APO generates multiple orders for each item.
Business requirement is to generate one TLB Order.
For example there are 10 Confirmed STR's and the planner wants to choose the deployed STR's manually from the list of 10 products. When we right cliick and select each product (for either partial or full ) it moves to the TLB order, but generates multiple orders.
Is there a way to restrict the requested lines to be in one Order? So that when the order is CIFed to ECC, there's only one STO generated with multiple lines.

By manual TLB process only you can create stock transfer order with SINGLE line item. because your deployed STRs always will have single line item and you are selection one by one and converting manually. in STD process you can not club items manually...
Yes it can be very much possible by automatic TLB run. it will take all the deployed orders and converting as TLB order by considering TLB profile where min , max limits maintained. also there is concept if you maintain loading group in product master based on that materials will be grouped together.....
Clubbing items into one order is done by TLB heuristics.. but when you do manually you are deciding how to do it?....
You can do one thing... after creation of TLB order with single item..you can edit and include some more items manually. Accordingly you need to delete deployed STRs.......
If you want to automate this then you need to look out for BADI... not sure possible or not

I have a data template with several parameters. For one of the parameters I want to be able to select one, multiple or ALL values. At this time I can select one value and it runs fine. If I select more then one value, then I get an error that says: INVALID NUMBER
I am not sure what I am doing wrong.

I have the option: MULTIPLE SELECTION....check for :p_ke
Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?

use in the Query inside the Data Template a lexical parameter like
select * from emp &p_mylexical
This lexical parameter could be filled in a BeforeReport Trigger. In this Package-Call you will have something like
p_mylexcial := 'where deptno in ('||p_deptno||')';
where p_deptno is your multi-select parameter.
This should run if p_deptno is empty, has one value ore more.
If you want to see every row when no value is choosen ('all') then use something like
if p_deptno is not null then
p_mylexical := 'where DEPTNO in ('||p_deptno||')';
else
p_mylexical := null;
end if;
So for your example that means
- create a new lexical parameter (p_lexical)
- replace in your query in the data template s.ke = :p_ke with &p_lexical
- call a before report trigger in which is something like:
p_mylexcial := 's.ke in ('||p_ke||')';

Bhaskar.KAs already explained Sh. Line Catg. is determined with Item Catg.of the item + MRP type automatically . As per your assignment in ( SD-sale-sales document-Sh. line-Assign Sh. line Catg.) system automatically propose the Sh. line Catg of your entered item
Now for three Sh line - in VA01 create the order with your item , give quantity -now select the line item, click on the Display item Details ICON extreme left bottom of the screen, than click on Sh. line tab here you maintain as many sh. line as you required.
Actually these Sh lines are nothing but the Requested Delivery Date And Quantity which is ultimately pass on to (Transfer the Requirement) MRP
