SQL Script - error in executing the select with multiple conditions
Hi gurus,
I'm having trouble in the command syntax below:
SELECT * FROM "TEST_RVS"."VH_TEST" WHERE "AUFNR" = 20210807 AND "BWART" = 101.
WHAT IS THE CORRECT SYNTAX WHERE TO CONDITION WITH MULTIPLE FIELDS?
Thanks !
What is the error you are getting? Did you try wrapping the values with quotes?
SELECT * FROM "TEST_RVS"."VH_TEST" WHERE "AUFNR" = '20210807' AND "BWART" = '101'.
Cheers,

Hi,
The single quotes used for CLERK are causing the issue most probably.
C:\Documents and Settings\ITL>exp scott/tiger@orcl tables=(emp) QUERY='"WHERE deptno > 10 and job!='CLERK' "' LOG=log011.log FILE=Exp01.dmp
try replacing with this
C:\Documents and Settings\ITL>exp scott/tiger@orcl tables=(emp) QUERY='"WHERE deptno > 10 and job!=''CLERK'' "' LOG=log011.log FILE=Exp01.dmp
Two single quotes(not double quotes) in the place of one single quote for CLERK.
Thanks

Validation Error - An error occured executing the provided SQL Command
Hi All,
I am new to using SQL Server in general (2008 R2) and am trying to change the source location for multiple packages in order to obtain our data from a more reliable environment.
I have created a copy of the target database where the data will be loaded, amended the source and target connection managers and ran through the packages to ensure they work, which many do.
We are changing the source from a local server to a cloud based server and when running a package that literally truncates target table, selects * from source, and inserts data to target I get a validation error "An error occurred executing the provided
SQL Command "Select *...." The connection has been disabled" and "component ADO NET Source failed validation and returned validation status "VS_ISBROKEN"".
The table structure from the 2 sources is the same and I have even recreated the data flow tasks to ensure the metadata has updated. When selecting 100 rows or even 5,000,000 rows from source the package runs fine but will fail as above
when selecting &* (around 9.5 million rows).
I'm not sure if this is due to the new data source being web based or if it could be some erroneous data in the table that isn't being selected when limiting to 5 milling rows etc.
I have spend hours trying to figure out what the issue could be (doesn't help being new to SQL Server) so any guidance would be hugely appreciated!!!
Thanks,
Louis.Hi All,
Unfortunately I don't believe any of the above are the issues.
Our current working project/packages run via an SQL agent job daily. To test and ensure the package in question ran outside of the agent WITHOUT changing the ADO NET Source I exported the package (that runs daily) and ran it locally,
to which it failed.
I then edited the select statement from 'select * from [table]' to 'select top(100) from [table] to which it ran without error.
So in summary:
Package will run fine if run as part of the agent job (with multiple other packages)
Package will not run from File System when selecting * from the source table
Package will run from File System when selecting limited rows
Could this be something to do with permissions? The errors I get are:
An error occurred executing the provided SQL command: "select * from [table]". The connection has been disabled.
"component" ADO NET Source"(396") failed validation and returned validation status "VS_ISBROKEN".
Thanks,
Louis. -

Error with Project Parameters when executing the package with dtexec command
Hi,
We have started migrating our SSIS package from 2005 version to SSIS 2012. In SSIS 2005 we were using XML configuration files and executing the packages with dtexec command from the packages folder (without deploying packages to filesystem).
Now in SSIS 2012, we have seen Project Parameters and created couple of package parameters and used those parameters in the package. when executing this package from solution explorer it was working fine but when i try to execute the same package from command
line with Dtexec command, it was showing an error message of 'Not able to map Project Prameters to configurations'.
Could you please give me an idea of how to execute the packages from command line by using dtexex command. basically i would like use project parameters in 2012 similar to configurations?
Thanks,
Venu.Refer
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-IN/library/hh231187.aspx
you can pass parameter like this
/SET \Package.Variables[$Package::ParameterName];<value> /SET \Package.Variables[$Project::ParameterName];<value>

What is the sql command for SELECT with OR condition
Hi
What is the correct sql command for doing select with or condition??
SELECT * from TempData
WHERE port = '123'
OR serialnumber = '555'
So if there is a port = 123 or if there is a serialnumber = 555, I will get a successful select.
Thanks for helping a newbie!!Hi
What is the correct sql command for doing select with
or condition??
SELECT * from TempData
WHERE port = '123'
OR serialnumber = '555'
So if there is a port = 123 or if there is a
serialnumber = 555, I will get a successful select.
Thanks for helping a newbie!!Make sure you bracket your OR conditions
eg
SELECT * from TempData
WHERE column = 'VALUE'
and port = '123'
OR serialnumber = '555'
is read as
SELECT * from TempData
WHERE (column = 'VALUE'
and port = '123' )
OR serialnumber = '555'
which is not the same as
SELECT * from TempData
WHERE column = 'VALUE'
and ( port = '123'
OR serialnumber = '555' ) -

Error while executing the salweek
Hi ,
Error while executing the salweek
salweek_1~20110508140932~init~system_variables~-1455~ORA-01455: converting column overflows integer datatype~CURSOR FETCH: cursor=c_sys_vars
Can anyone suggest me to solve the issue?
Regards,
SushanthWhat is your RMS version????????
Open salweek.pc, find the SQL for the cursor c_sys_vars, execute that in SQL*Plus or whatever and look for funny or very long values.
Scan further through the Pro*C source code to where it says fetch, and check the datatype definitions of the C variables being fetched into, to be long enough to hold the variables that the cursor produces.
Search support.oracle.com for this issue.
If indeed a code issue with a variable type mismatch, file an SR and make sure it is patched. -
Runtime Error While executing the WebDynpro Application
I am getting the Runtime Error While executing the WebDynpro Application. The error message is "TSV_TNEW_OCCURS_NO_ROLL_MEMORY".
It says like "
Short text
No roll storage space of length 9728 available for OCCURS area.
What happened?
Each transaction requires some main memory space to process
application data. If the operating system cannot provide any more
space, the transaction is terminated.
But while executing some other Web Dynpro Applications, i am not facing this problem.Generally this error is a result of an infinite loop on internal table or select endselect statement where by severs temporary memory gets full. With no memory to insert new records in temporary memory system generates the dump.
Check your application or ask basis consultant to look at the memory parameters in instance profile.

Invalid cursor state error while executing the prepared statement
hai friends,
following code showing the invalid cursor state error while executing the second prepared statement.
pls anyone help me
String query = "select * from order_particulars where order_no=" + orderno + " order by sno"; psmt1 = conEntry.prepareStatement(query, ResultSet.TYPE_SCROLL_INSENSITIVE, ResultSet.CONCUR_READ_ONLY); rs1 = psmt1.executeQuery(); rs1.last(); intRowCount = rs1.getRow(); particularsdata = new Object[intRowCount][6]; rs1.beforeFirst(); if (intRowCount >= 1) { for (int i = 0; rs1.next(); i++) { particularsdata[0] = i + 1;
particularsdata[i][1] = rs1.getString(3);
particularsdata[i][2] = Double.parseDouble(rs1.getString(4));
rs1.close();
psmt1.close();
query = "SELECT sum(delqty) FROM billdetails,billparticulars WHERE order_no= " + orderno + " and " +
"billdetails.bill_no = billparticulars.bill_no GROUP BY particulars ORDER BY sno";
psmt1 = conEntry.prepareStatement(query, ResultSet.TYPE_SCROLL_INSENSITIVE, ResultSet.CONCUR_READ_ONLY);
rs1 = psmt1.executeQuery(); //error showing while executing this lineAlso .. Why using arrays instead of collections? Shifting the cursor all the way forth and back to get the count is fairly terrible.
With regard to the problem: either there's a nasty bug in the JDBC driver used, or you actually aren't running the compiled class version of the posted code. -
