Bug: numeric schema names not managed correctly

If a schema name consists of numbers, the generated SQL will always fail.
In this case, it should put double-quotes around the schema name.
For example, dragging a table over to the query pane will generate a select statement,
but since it does not enclose the schema name in double-quotes, the error
"invalid table name" will be received when trying to run that query.
I am using version 1.2.1 Build MAIN-32.13.

Well, checking the documentation (we are on 10gR2), I do note the following:
"Nonquoted identifiers must begin with an alphabetic character...".
So you are right. Alas, this was not something with which I was involved.
Given that however, it would be a very user-friendly tweak to the product
to make it more usable - remember, this is a circumstance in which the SQL
generated by the tool is wrong, which does look bad as it is an Oracle product.

Schema name not present on filename for "Save Package Spec and Body"

In versions previous to 3.0 EA, the filename defaulted to schema.object.sql when using the "Save Package Spec and Body" on the right click of the package/body. This appears to have disappeared. Also, it now defaults to the .PLS ext/type, which I prefer to save them as .SQL (which i can override, but it would be nice in the file type dropdown). Also, I had posted a suggestion about the actual file not including the schema name prefixing the object name when using the "Save Package Spec and Body". i.e. it does create or replace package reader_package instead of what it should be doing which is create or replace package schema.reader_package

Would be nice indeed having the real name as default, and all supported PL/SQL types (as in the preferences) in the extensions dropdown.
As for the schema name inside, I reckon that would do damage for more users than it would do good for others. But a preference would be best of course.

Connected Wifi Name not displayed correctly

I have the Xperia Tablet Z SGP311. I got the 4.2.2 update through PC companion in UK. However, I saw 2 major problems. One, the "back" button (of the back, home, history group at the bottom bar) is on the middle now instead of on the side making it difficult to go back with one finger while holding the tablet. I suppose I have to get used to it..
Second, which is a more annoying bug, in the drop down panel at the top, the Wifi connection name is visible only when the notification panel has only one line displayed. When 2 lines are displayed, and the wifi name is cutoff in half with only the bottom half of the name visible, 3 or more it is not displayed at all. I am unable to take a screenshot to show this as when I hit the power button for screenshot, the dropdown panel disappears. It is as if the panel somehow is displayed on top of the name ( which is why the top half of the name is invisible, although all of it is part of the drop down panel).. Anyone has any suggestions to correct this ?
Also is there a way to downgrade the software from 4.2.2 to 4.1.2 ?

I just got information that the problem with SSID not being displayed is planned to be fixed in upcoming updates but i don't have any information on when it will be changed.
We have forwarded feedback regarding the buttons but as this is what Android 4.2 looks like i don't know if that will be changed.

Japanese Partner access names not displaying correctly

Japanese external users' displaying name comes as "????", however their user profile stored correctly in AD. Modifying Locale and Language Settings doesn't seem to have an effect. Does anyone suggest
an approach to solving?

According to your post, my understanding is that you have an issue about the display name for users created by Japanese.
What did you mean the Japanese external user stored correctly in AD?
Per my knowledge, the external users are not stored in your organisation, that means they are not stored in your AD.
If the users stored in the AD, per my test, the user name will display well no matter what language created.
You can check the user profile in the user profile service to make sure the user has been synced properly.
Central Administration->Application Management->Manage Service Applications->User Profile Service Application->Manage User Profile
To narrow down whether the issue is related to the user itself, you can create a new user in the AD, then check whether it works.

Vendor name not showing correctly in TDS GL line item display fbl3n

Hi Gurus,
I am facing an issue in regards to TDS. As you know that normally we make a cheque payment to a vendor, we issue one cheque for one vendor.
But my client follows a slightly different practice. Suppose they have to pay an amount of 30000 to three vendor A B C equally 10000 each. They right a self cheque to the SBI bank and also send them the list of these 3 vendors who are also having their account in the same bank. They instruct the bank to take money from their account and then credit in the respective vendors account.
Now the transaction goes like this:
Vendor A   10000
Vendor B    10000
Vendor C   10000
    To Bank                 29700
    To TDS on A              100
    To TDS on B              100
    To TDS on C              100
Now when the user will go to FBL3N and check the TDS GL 100020196 and see the line items it should show like as per the client:
Vendor A       100
Vendor B       100
Vendor C       100
But it shows the below result:
Vendor A   100
Vendor A   100   ( should be vendor B)
Vendor A   100   (should be vendor C)
I believe that is the standard behavior of the system to show the vendor line. They do not want to change the way of their posting and their concern is if it shows like the same at the time of return filing how will know vendor wise tds.
Now either I need to resolve this situation in FBL3N or give them a report which should give them Vendor wise TDS information for the TDS filing.
J1INMIS report is there but it shows only the TDS and the vendor number, it does not give the vendor name. I either want a solution of this issue in FBL3N or a report which shows vendor wise TDS with vendor number and name. Please let me know if there is a solution to this issue.
Kindly consider this very urgent. I am attaching the relevant screenshots.

Unfortunately there is no report in SAP other than J1INMIS which caters to Indian reporting requirements. You can think of enhancing the same.
Also check your enhancement for FBL3N as to why it is not working as it should with the help of your ABAP Colleagues. It is not displaying the name correctly.

Apply custom name not working correctly

Wow... I am beginning to lose hope, again, that FCPX will ever be relatively bug free.
When applying custom clip names in 10.1, the software is very buggy and gets some things flat wrong. For example, if you create a custom clip name with a counter, and you apply that to a set of clips, it doesn't show that change in the even browser unless you hit apply twice. Then you see what you expect, but as soon as you click in the browser, the names change to a counter collection that starts counting with the lowest number in the new sequence starting at the next number in the sequence from the original set. Hard to explain, but if you have 5 clips, and you start from 1, then on first click there is no change to the clip names, on second click you get a sequence starting from 1 and ending at 5 (what you want), but when you click on the event browser the clip names change from 1 - 5 to 6 - 10, presumably because you had to hit the button twice in the first place. That's rediculous.
Also, applying orginal camera name doesn't work correctly for all clips.
Also, saving new custom names with names (changing from "untitled" to a name like "outside sequence #") works intermitently.
This reminds me of the old custom naming bugs in 10.03 - .06. Come on, Apple. Does anyone test this stuff before it's released?

Correct. But the behavior I describe is correct too. And one people should be aware of as they are likely to encounter this if they don't do as you described, click off the clips, but instead hit the apply custom name button more than once. Buggy

Chinese Song Name Not Displayed Correctly

When I import music, the song names come up to all garbled, which they are displayed in weird special characters instead of proper Chinese.
I've tried to reverse Unicode, and have no effect on it. I also tried changing the OS language to Chinese, but it doesn't help as well.
When I copied the files from my PC, I've checked the files that they display their song name correctly in Finder, but all corrupted when I import them into iTunes.

Planning Level/Package names not displaying correctly in BPS0 (BI7)

We have just upgraded our BW system from 3.5 to BI7. We are running SEM 3.5.
We now seem to have a display issue with the titles of some planning levels and packages within BPS0.
On some planning level/package lines the display in the left hand pane of BPS0 is truncated with only a partial description, even though the full description is displayed in the right hand pane. This is not consistent, as other levels and packages are displayed correctly. It is not truncating at the same place in all instances.
I have tried to delete the description and re-input it again, but the problem persists.
Similar display issues occur in UPSPL in a seemingly random fashion.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

The display problem occurs in descriptions of planning levels and packages in BPS0 and in UPSPL & UPSPM. Also when viewing global planning sequences.
The cause is the use of "&" in a description text. When this character is removed and replaced with another, eg "+", then the descriptions display correctly.
I wonder if this is to do with "&" being a special character, which I believe XML doesn't handle too well?
Anyway, I can now change the descriptive text and the problem goes away.

User name not displaying correctly in history fields in Sharepoint on Office365

The issue is for this one user on any form with history instead of the display name it shows his SharePoint user ID. Everywhere else for that user it shows correctly. For all other users they show correctly in the history as displayname
date/time comment. I know that somehow a field on his user got changed and we need to know what field it is under that user's account so either we can manually change it back or the correct procedure to correct this issue.
I can recreate it by simply creating a new list and select multiple lines of text and select append text to yes
Then in InfoPath select that list item and drag it on the page along with a submit button that writes the data and closes the webpage.
Then open a new item on that list with any other user it creates that item and shows their name time/date and the comment that they made. With the user that is having an issue it shows his user ID time/date and the comment.

StreamTokenizer NVAL bug? 16 digits not reading correctly?

i do some calculations which are highly precise, and we use numbers with 16 digits after the comma. this works most of the time without problems. but for some numbers java rounds it automatically. i think the problem is within the StreamTokenizer nval method.
but please see the code to get what i mean:

Recipient names not displaying correctly

Hi all,
I'm using the latest Mac Mail.
One really annoying issue is that everytime it does smart complete, my recipient's name is messed up.
For example, it should be "John Doe '[email protected]'" and it should display as John Doe (with the Blue bubble wrapping around it).
But now I always get "[email protected] Doe '[email protected]'" and it is display as [email protected] Doe.
How can I fix it?

Changed Airport Express names, not showing correctly in iTunes

I needed to swap the location of two Airport Express units, and I renamed them accordingly. They show up properly within Airport Utility/OS X, but within iTunes they seem to be cached to their old names. How do I reset them, flush the cache, or simply get them to show properly within iTunes?

airport utility, manual setup, music tab, there is a space for the name to show in itunes.

Property Name not generated correctly

I use Netbeans 5.5 with VWP and MySQL. The Database-Setup is working. When I Drag and Drop a table on the ApplicationBean the RowSet and DataProvider are generated. But the names used in Code are different to the names used in declaration.

Some XML customizing not displayed correctly in graphic in PDF form

Hello,
we have following problem: We want to create a read-only PDF with an integrated graphic with analytical data.
The PDF form is created with SFP. Data is extracted and the graphic rendered with the class CL_IGS_CHART_ENGINE.
We used SAP chart designer and transformed the XML into our string.
The graphic is displayed in our PDF, but some customizing settings in our XML are neglected, especially the font type, her only courier is displayed. Also some manual positions of legends don't work.
When I display the chart in the SAP GUI using cl_gui_chart_engine everything works fine, so I assume that the XML and the transformation is correct.
So where is the problem: Mime type? codepage? printing job?

What MIME type (picture type) has your generated picture? JPG for example is ok, but for exotic types please check in your LCD (place Image on the layout and open the dialog for picture assignment, you can see the allowed picture types in there).

Dynamic prefix of schema name in PL/SQL objects

I have a requirement where schema name would be passed as a parameter to the procedure and I am supposed to write some DML statements on some of the fixed tables. The table names are common among any schemas, but then only the schema names change.
This weird requirment is because, here they do not maintain same names for schemas on DEV,QA,UAT and PROD databases, and I can not change that. My thoughts are that it can be acheived only using Dynamic SQL. I want to know whether any alternate ways exist since this is going to be the case on various packages and procedures. For example I have a package with around 80 procedures in it which have couple of DML statements in it. Now they want to pass the schema name to main procedure and want the 80 procedures to perform the DML on the schema name passed :)
So, should I change all the 80 procedures and make all the DML in it to Dynamic SQL (I am afraid I might end up doing that)? Please not that I can not change all the environments to same schema names (Not in my hands)

You can make use of this inside you programs. We do this.
You can prefix the value before the object names.
When the procedure can run from same user who has privs on other schemas.
Just set the current_schema to HR , SCOTT or others.
You will not need to Pass Parameters for each procedure.
Current User can be same as the procedure run from or owner of the procedure.
