Bug: query results sometimes lose line formatting

Steps:
1. Run a query on "arraycollection adobe flex null pointer"
Result: the 2nd search result "Flex 3 - Using the HitData object" from http://livedocs.adobe.com/flex/3/html/charts_eventsandeffects_03.html has all the line-ends removed (see 1st screenshot). When I go to the URL, the code looks OK (see 2nd screenshot), so it seems likely that Blueprint is somehow mangling the file.

Thanks for you feedback! We have filed a bug to address code formatting problems. Stay tuned for the next release.

  • Numbering query results with a line number in SQL*Plus

    Doesn't it stand to reason that in SQL*Plus there would be a way to number each query results sequentially with line numbers starting at 1 to n -- something option like from a SET command? I'm not talking about linesize.

    There's a column rownum the engine adds into the result sets, just add it to the select list. Can use it to limit the result set (with some limitations) i.e.:
    select rownum, ... from ... where rownum <= 100
    Can't use ">=", that condition will never be met but a subset could be used:
    select * from ( select rownum as linenr, tab1.* from ... ) where linenr between 10 and 20

  • Save query results in pipe delimited format

    I am running a query in SQL Developer. Can you please tell me how to save and/or export the results in pipe delimited format? Thanks....

    You just need to right click in the results grid, then chose export and complete the following wizard.
    For pipe delimited files the file format should be delimited and then you will need to change the "delimiter" to a pipe.

  • Returning query results in XML format

    Besides using custom tag library, does anyone know any methods or techniques that i can retrive the query results from database in XML format. for example, i have a table named student in database like this:
    StudentNo  Name   Gender  Degree
    123       Tony    male    B.Comp.Sci.
    456       Tom     male    B.Fiance
    343       Mary    female  B.Accountingso, if i have query select * from table student, i would get someting like the following:
    <row>
    <studentNo>123</studentNo>
    <name>Tony</name>
    <Gender>male</Gender>
    <Degree>B.Comp.Sci</Degree>
    </row>
    <row>
    <studentNo>456</studentNo>
    <name>Tom</name>
    <Gender>male</Gender>
    <Degree>B.Finace</Degree>
    </row>
    The reason i am asking for this is i need query results returned in XML format, so i can wrap XSLT tag around, and apply for HTML, WML, and XHTML template resprectively so i can display them on different terminals. any help is appreciated.

    I have this method in a ResultSetMapper class:
         * Return result sets as an XML stream, with root tag named
         * "results", one "result" tag per row, and "result" child tag
         * names equal to the column name
         * @param query result set
         * @param list of column names to include in the result map
         * @throws SQLException if the query fails
         * @throws JDOMException if the XML stream creation fails
        public static final Document toJDOM(ResultSet rs, List wantedColumnNames)
            throws SQLException, JDOMException
            Element rows         = new Element("results");
            int numWantedColumns = wantedColumnNames.size();
            while (rs.next())
                Element row = new Element("result");
                for (int i = 0; i < numWantedColumns; ++i)
                    String columnName   = (String)wantedColumnNames.get(i);
                    Object value = rs.getObject(columnName);
                    row.addContent(new Element(columnName).setText(value.toString()));
                rows.addContent(row);
            return new Document(rows);
        }It uses JDOM from www.jdom.org. - MOD

  • Query Results to the Application Server

    Hello Experts,
    We have a requirement where when we execute a query, the query results in the excel format should be placed in a folder in the application server.From the Application server I need to send these results using the FTP service to the different locations.
    Can someone please suggest me how to place the query results in the application server and how to send these results using the FTP service to the different locations.
    Regards,
    Sachin

    Hi Sachin,
    Yes its possible
    Using RSCRM_BAPI TCode schedule the report based on your requirement i.e. daily, weekly...etc. And then dump the report result into one path (Directory) in Application Server.
    Create FTP/SFTP User ID in Application server level in BW System.

  • BW Query Results as RSS

    I am wondering if anyone has or knows how to get BW query results in an RSS feed.
    I have a pet project to see if I can populate an RSS feed with my P&L out of my CO-PA fed BW.  If the results of a query are sitting on the WAS there should be a way to grab them for RSS.....
    Anyone....anyone....?
    Thanks,

    this is not a OLAP bapi but a custom function which returns the query results in a xml format, may be this could be useful for you.
    check out the link.

  • Word 2011 for Mac Book pro - I have found that my cursor disappears sometimes when I click on a toolbar function. I found out it is a bug, that the Mac loses 'focus'. I can correct it temporarily by clicking on Format - Font - Cancel. Any info?

    I have Word 2011 on a Mac Book Pro and have had problems with a dissapearing cursor - it makes editing tricky
    After googling it I found out that there is a bug where the Mac loses focus if you click away from the document - it also does this with italics according to other users.
    I had a play with it and found out that when I click on the toolbar in a document where this happens, the cursor disappears, e.g. changing font colour etc. And then, when I click on Format - Font - Cancel it returns
    I'd be interested if anyone else has a comment to add, please do
    thanks

    BTW (speaking as a Dad of 3 daughters in Grad school) if you don't already have and use a DropBox account, or some other similar online "cloud" based backup of your school documents, you should start doing so immediately. By keeping all of your important documents in the Dropbox folder on your computer, you have instant access to them from any other computer (or iPad), should you be w/o your computer while in for repairs (or if, God forbid, it is stolen). It's free for 2 GB of online storage, which is more than enough for a few years worth of Word documents, etc. (If you get other people to sign up via your email "invitation", then Dropbox gives you even more free storage space.) Every time you close a document, it is updated on the Dropbox servers (encrypted), if it is in the Dropbox folder (assuming you give it a few seconds to update before turning off your computer). Do a google search of "Cloud based storage comparisons" to compare the amount of free space each of the competing services give you.

  • Bug in pinning of results tabs results in multiple query results tabs

    In Tools > Preferences > Database > Worksheet there is an option called Automatically Freeze Reult Tabs.
    This option, when unchecked, does not seem to be working. New query results tabs are created when pressing F9 to run selected query text.
    Elsewhere I have read that this is a known bug (9247525). A work-around is said to be to not select text before pressing F9. However, this does not seem to always work for me. Sometimes SQL Developer tries to execute code that is outside of the immediate query. The result is usually a query error.
    Thus a whole bunch of query result tabs build up.
    Is this bug being addressed? Is there a place where these bugs can be looked up? Or that status of a bug checked?
    Thanks for any assistance.
    (I am on 2.1.0.63. On Windows.)
    --Michael

    The bug you have found will be somewhere in the list of work for the SQL Developer team and should get fixed and included in a public release/patch eventually.
    It sounds like your issue with the workaround (statement being identified based on cursor position) is with SQL Developer's pickiness with what is the end of a statement. As a general rule, SQL Developer will only consider a ; at the end of a line or a / starting a new line as the end of a statement - it does not consider a blank line the end of a statement. For example, the following is all considered a single statement:
    select * from dual
    select * from dual;theFurryOne

  • Date format in Query Result Window

    In recent versions on OSD (trying with V3.2.20.09 Build MAIN-09.87) I've been unable to change the date format for results shown in the query results window via the NLS settings in Preferences, it's the same for other users on v3 in my area. Can anyone advice on whether anything can be done to resolve this issue or is there a bug in recent additions of OSD
    Frustrating having a result show as 01-DEC-12 and I don't know whether it's 01-DEC-2012 or our default date of 01-DEC-4712 without having to hard code a to_char in my sql which I don't want to be doing all the time to analyse my results
    I have an old version 1.5.4 Build MAIN-5940 and changing the NLS settings in preferences refrects correctly in the query results window
    Any advice appreciated, Thanks

  • Sending Email with Query Result (Table Format)

    Hi,
    I have a query result from ExecuteSQL task e.g.:

    Is it possible in SSIS?

    It has to be HTML format . Read Tony's article

  • Date Format in Visual Studio Query Result Window

    Most vendor tools let you change the date format to show datetime in its query results window.
    But .NET does not have this.
    The ability to change this should be in located in Tools|Options but its not there.
    Can it be added in the next release?
    ALTER SESSION SET NLS_DATE_FORMAT = 'DD-MON-RR HH:MI:SS' does not work. btw.
    .NET and/or ODT over-rides it.

    Why would you expect Microsoft to write stuff for an Oracle plugin?! Why on earth would you want to see anything other than the actual raw data that YOU requested in the results of a query? Surely formating/displaying a datetime is a presentation layer thing not a database layer thing! If you're really that bothered re-write your SQL till you get what you want.
