Bug XML  - AnyChart - Axis maximum scale node

Hi,
The flash chart won't display when we set a decimal number as the maximum value for an axis. The nls parameters define the comma as the decimal separator.
FR-CA*
<scale mode="Normal" maximum="3,5"></scale>

<scale mode="Normal" maximum="3.5"></scale>
Thanks.

  • A bug in the JTree(Missing some nodes)

    I have an application which implement a JTree & DnDTree. The left hand side is the original JTee, the right hand size is DnDTree which allows user to Drag and Drop some node from left JTree. The bug is: when I grag some node to right DnDTree, once I then click the left JTree, some nodes will be missing. I try my best for more than one week, but still couldn't fix it, could anybody take time to fina a way to fix it? The piece of code of creating JTree is as follow:
    /*public void createTestTree()
    DefaultMutableTreeNode rootRight = new DefaultMutableTreeNode("Root");
    DefaultMutableTreeNode root = createTreeModel();
    treeLeft = new DnDTree(root, true); //JTree(root, true);

    Hi Paul,
    sorry for my late reply, but I usually don't work on weekends (this time it was an exception).
    OK, then, to your problem:
    - at the first look I thought you did NOT follow all the instruction (namely, the constructor of your trees has no info that you want to use model, or whatsoever), but later I realized that your approach: create the tree first and then assign a model to it (or in fact, get the model from the tree via: tree.getModel()) might work as well
    - having no debugger I am not able to have much clue about your program / and it seems that you coding suffers from your being in a hurry:
    - no comments - don't know which method is expected to do what
    - misleading names (createTreeModel does nothing with the model, but creates some new nodes??)
    therefore, I'm sorry, but I'm not able to detect exactly where the error is.
    - anyway, having a quick glance on your code I have some suspections:
    - you have 2 trees (treeLeft, treeRight), but just one model (model)
    ( it seems that you assign it dynamically when needed - either you take the model of the left or of the right tree)
    - however, when this assignment takes place (in createTestTree()), you DO NOT ASSIGN IT to the class' protected attribute model, but to a local variable model (of the same type, however - since you introduce it as:
    DefaultTreeModel model you override the model from class' attributes) - therefore, your assignment is no valid when the block in which ot is located is finished
    - note, that you NEED the model when you add/delete nodes of the tree (somewhere in DnDTree? - then quite probably your local assignment of model is not valid any longer)
    My suggestion, therefore, is:
    somehow try to encapsulate the model to your tree (note that I only created the model outside the tree, because I needed it for running the constructor, but all other usages of the model are made WITHIN the class of the tree) - the best, do it the same way - through the constructor
    then, in the place when you insert/remove nodes you will have no problem at all
    I will e-mail you my whole "project" so that you may observe all parts - how it's written. I trust if you can't figure it out from my writings here (maybe I missed the point) you may get it from that example.
    Hope it helps - GOOD LUCK

  • How to append an xml string as a child node to a dom document

    Hi
    I have an xml represented as a String. Now I want to add this xml string as a child node to another DOM Document.
    Do I have to first parse the xml String into a xml Document and then add the nodes to the existing Document. Is there a simpler way to do this. Any input is appreciated.
    Many thanks in advance.

  • Crvs 2010 beta - Numeric axis grids & scales dialog box for charts

    Hello,
    The dialog box was in crvs2008, but I don't see it in crvs2010 beta. Has it been removed or just moved and I can't find it?
    It was off the chart shortcut menu (when you right-click on a chart in design view) under the Chart Options menu option.
    Thank you
    Tracy

    Hi Don,
    I am not referring to the Chart Expert.
    If you open a report that has a bar chart in crvs 2008 and follow the info below, you should see it.
    In crvs 2008, when you right-clicked on a chart, the shortcut menu has an option called "grid".
    When you select the grid option, the numeric axis grids & scales dialog box opened.
    It has the following tabs across the top - general, scales, labels, numbers and grids.
    On the left it has 2 tabs: data axis and group axis.
    Thank you
    Tracy

  • In column Chart when Y values are grater than y linear axis maximum it doesnt show the Bar

    Hi Guys,
    In column Chart when Y values are grater than y linear axis maximum it doesnt show the Bar.But i want show the bar upto the max limit of y linear axis without changing the max limit.
    Consider following example:
    Y values are 80 90 200 300
    and following are the output :
    Left:When i am not setting maximum property of linear axis.
    Right :When i am setting maximum property of linear axis to 200.
    In right 4th bar is not visible bcoz value for that bar is 300 which is excedding  maxium.But i want the 4th bar to appear same as 3rd bar.
    How i can do this?
    Thanks in advance.

    Are you going to show the bar going past the maximum value?
    If not, then you should change the Y value when entered into the array to the maximum value allowed. i.e.
    if(itemYValue > maxAllowedValue) {
         itemYValue = maxAllowedValue;
    Where maxAllowedValue is a variable you set on the application to control the maximum value for the chart.
    This is assuming that you are loading the values into an Array before updating the chart dataprovider with that array.

  • Chart Data Axis (Y) Scale - keep constant over groups, dynamic for report

    Crystal XI
    I want to chart how many transactions there are at a teller, showing number of transactions per hour, with a separate chart for each day in a range that the user specifies at run time through paramaters.
    So I group on date at report level, and make my chart on change of hour show count of transactions, and that works.
    But using autoscale, EACH CHART is scaled on the Y axis, so for a day that has a peak of 5 tx per hour, that hour reaches top of chart, where next day, there is an hour with 100 tx.  So you can't tell at a glance that day 2 was busier than day 1.
    I like the auto scale, but I'd like it to consider the report for the scaling.  Is there a way to do that?  Or do some chart types let me do it and others don't?  (I've looked at Bar and Area charts)
    I can't use a fixed scale, because different customers have wildly different typical numbers.  (I could use a dynamically calculated fixed scale, but I don't see that that's an option)  If there's a way to use a formula for the data scale, I'm missing it, and that would probably solve my problem.
    Assuming I'm out of luck there - I can change the query as necessary, and I suspect I'm giong to have to use some gimmick like chart my maximum value in invisible ink, if someone's been down the road and knows a solution, if you can give me a quick hint on that, I'd appreciate it.

    If all else fails, you can do this easily with our CRChart add-in using the @SC family of macros which allow you to set the Y-Axis scale min/max dynamically (i.e. map them to a field or formula at runtime).

    If you create a property node of the x scale marker values, you can control the displayed x scale values except the min and max values are always displayed. Also make sure the x scale style is select to display the intermediate values.
    - there is always an easy way, but it is always the hardest to find

  • Y axis auto scale not working in DIAdem 11

    Hi
    A few years ago I created a user dialog box for selecting and displaying channels in DIAdem view.
    It worked fine for all DIAdem 10.X releases, but for DIAdem 11.X there is a problem with the y-axis scaling.
    The channels are displayd as [n  Systems (Linear)]
    In DIAdem 10.X the y-axis for each separate graph would be scaled automatically accoring to the min. and max. values of the displayed channel.
    In DIAdem 11.X the y-axis for each graph is scaled from 55.0397 to 133.7655.... for all channels, no matter what the values are for the displayed channel.
    When I click the "Zoom Off" button the scaling becomes correct.
    What do I need to put in to my script to make the y-axis scale correctly?
    Below is the code that is used to set the scaling (no scaling for Y axis is set):
        R1 = SelectedStartTime 'this is a variable defined earlier in the code
        R2 = SelectedEndTime 'this is a variable defined earlier in the code
        View.ActiveSheet.Cursor.X1 = R1
        View.ActiveSheet.Cursor.X2 = R2
        View.ActiveSheet.Areas(1).DisplayObj.XScaling = "RangeZoom"
    I've tried adding this code, to no effect:
        View.ActiveSheet.Areas(1).DisplayObj.YScaling = "n systems [phys.]"
        View.ActiveSheet.Areas(1).DisplayObj.YScalingMode = "automatic"
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    I tried with Macro recording and Ctrl+A and the result was
    Option Explicit 'Forces the explicit declaration of all the variables in a script.
    R1 = 30
    R2 = 52
    Call View.NewLayout()
    View.Sheets("Sheet 1").Areas("Area : 1").DisplayObjType = "CurveChart2D"
    Dim oMyDisplayObj
    Set oMyDisplayObj = View.Sheets("Sheet 1").Areas("Area : 1").DisplayObj
    oMyDisplayObj.Curves.Add "[1]/Time", "[1]/Speed"
    oMyDisplayObj.YScalingMode ="automatic"
    oMyDisplayObj.Abscissa ="X-Cursor"
    oMyDisplayObj.Ordinate ="Y-Cursor"
    View.ActiveSheet.Cursor.X1 = R1
    View.ActiveSheet.Cursor.X2 = R2
    View.Sheets("Sheet 1").Areas("Area : 1").DisplayObj.XScalingMode = "RangeZoom"
    WndShow "VIEW", ""
    which seems to work fine. So there is only one difference to your code which is
    .XScalingMode
    instead of XScaling. Does changing this work with your code?

  • How to map XML to Web Dynpro context nodes?

    Hi All,
    Could anyone tell how xml string can be bound to context nodes ? In my requirement i need to serialize context nodes value to string and deserialize it back to nodes for implementing back naviagtion between views.
    I didnt see much threads achieving this giving details on class cl_wdr_xml_convert_util and methods if_wd_client_conversion_util~string_to_struct.
    I am using wd_context->to_xml to convert into xml.
    From this format, i want to bind it back to context  node.
    When i use this below approch i get short dumb.
    Serialization to xml:
    lv_data_string = wd_context->to_xml( ).
    Deserialization:
      DATA lv_typedescr           TYPE REF TO cl_abap_typedescr.
      FIELD-SYMBOLS:
                     <fs_data>    TYPE ANY TABLE.
      CALL METHOD cl_abap_typedescr=>describe_by_object_ref
        EXPORTING
          p_object_ref         = wd_context
        RECEIVING
          p_descr_ref          = lv_typedescr
        EXCEPTIONS
          reference_is_initial = 1
          OTHERS               = 2.
       try.
      CALL METHOD cl_wdr_xml_convert_util=>if_wd_client_conversion_util~string_to_struct
        EXPORTING
          in            = lv_data_string
          typedescr = lv_typedescr
        IMPORTING
          data      =  <fs_data>
      CATCH cx_wdr_conversion_exception into lo_err .
      lv_exp = lo_err->get_text( ).
    ENDTRY.
      wd_context->bind_table( values = <fs-data>.
    Using this way, i get a short dumb as assert statement is failed as value for  typedescr->type_kind is '*'.
    method if_wd_client_conversion_util~string_to_struct.
      assert typedescr->type_kind = cl_abap_typedescr=>typekind_struct1
          or typedescr->type_kind = cl_abap_typedescr=>typekind_struct2.
      raise exception type cx_wdr_conversion_exception
        exporting textid = cx_wdr_conversion_exception=>illegal_type.
    On debugging changing this value to required also made no difference, as no value could be assigned to the field symbol.
    Suggest a soution to do this.

    Hi Thomas,
    Thanks for your replies.
    I have corrected it, but the field symbol is empty and while debugging it says data type is incorrect.
    code:
      FIELD-SYMBOLS:
                     <fs_data>    TYPE ANY TABLE.
    data:       lsbp type ZXBPCENTRAL,
                   go_ref type ref to data.
    CALL METHOD cl_abap_typedescr=>describe_by_data " ( before it was describe_by_object_ref)
    EXPORTING
    p_data = lsbp
    receiving
    p_descr_ref = lv_typedescr.
    try.
    CALL METHOD cl_wdr_xml_convert_util=>if_wd_client_conversion_util~string_to_struct
    EXPORTING
    in = lv_data_string
    typedescr = lv_typedescr
    IMPORTING
    data = go_ref "<fs_data>
    CATCH cx_wdr_conversion_exception into lo_err .
    lv_exp = lo_err->get_text( ).------> Here the error says " Invalid data type and hence, there is no data.
    ENDTRY.
    assign go_ref->* to <fs_data>.
    I am still looking for solution and thanks a lot ....

  • XML data with nested repeating nodes

    First let me prelude with my skill set; "I am an XML,
    JavaScript and Spry newbie". My xml data looks like this:
    <report>
    <header>
    <column type="[string|real|int]>some
    value</column>
    <column type="[string|real|int]>some
    value</column>
    </header>
    <details>
    <row>
    <cell type="[string|real|int]">some value</cell>
    <cell type="[string|real|int]">some value</cell>
    </row>
    <row>
    <cell type="[string|real|int]">some value</cell>
    <cell type="[string|real|int]">some value</cell>
    </row>
    </details>
    </report>
    - report/header/column is completely dynamic and not known in
    advance
    - each report/header/column is the table column name value
    - each report/details/row/cell is the table cell value
    - type="[string|real|int]" is data type of the cell value
    Using Spry 1.5 I have been able to successfully populate the
    table column header row dynamically and repeat the appropriate
    number of rows.
    Spry is Cool!
    I have not been able to figure out how to repeat
    report/details/row/cell for each repeating row node. If I nest
    spry:repeat it appears to go into an endless loop.
    I will also need to equate data type to a Spry data type so
    that I may sort the columns appropriately for their respective data
    type.
    Here is the code I have so far:
    <script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript"
    src="includes/xpath.js"></script>
    <script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript"
    src="includes/SpryData.js"></script>
    <script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript"
    src="includes/SpryNestedXMLDataSet.js"></script>
    <script type="text/javascript">
    var dsReport = new
    Spry.Data.XMLDataSet("data/cmbcov_raw.xml", "/iqreport");

    Don,
    Thanks for forcing me to read the nested data set sample
    again, three times the charm as they say :). I made the following
    addition to get it to work.
    var dsDetails = new Spry.Data.NestedXMLDataSet(dsReport,
    "details");
    var dsRows = new Spry.Data.NestedXMLDataSet(dsDetails,
    "row");
    var dsCells = new Spry.Data.NestedXMLDataSet(dsRows, "cell");
    <tbody spry:repeat="dsDetails">
    <tr spry:repeat="dsRows">
    <td spry:repeat="dsCells">{dsCells::cell}</td>
    </tr>
    </tbody>
    I am still stumped with respect to sorting the dynamic
    header/column. Any chance of being pointed in the right direction,
    either document or hint is appreciated.
    Thanks again,

  • Xml to JTree, and JTree node to html file.

    I have been trying to figure out a way to do this and I think I have a solution, but I am not sure how to structure the application and methods.
    working with BorderLayout Panel p, JSplitPane split, JTree tree, and JEditorPane rpane
    1st. My JSplitpane is divided with the tree, and rpane. The tree is on the left, and the rpane is on the right. both of these are then added to the Panel p
    2. I will create a method that will read through a modules.xml file, and create a JTree - tree. When you click on the node element it's information is displayed in the right pane - rpane.
    The Problem. I think it would take to long to create the html file on the fly each when I click on each individual node.
    So my idea is to create the html files from many xml files when I run the program. I can then just load the html file when I click on each individual node.
    This means alot of heavy processing in the front end, and everything will be static, but it will be faster when the user is in the program.
    Problem. How do I associate each node element with the correct html file?
    The Tree elements are always the same, but I can have 1 or many modules.
    Here is an example:
    <device>  // - root
       <module1>
          <Status>
             <Network></Network>
             <Device></Device>
             <Chassis></Chassis>
             <Resources></Resources>
          </Status>
          <ProjMngt></ProjMngt>
          <ProjEdit></ProjEdit>
          <Admin>
             <admNetwork></admNetwork>
             <admUsers></admUsers>
          </Admin>
          <Logging></Logging>
       </Module1>
       ...  Now I can have 1 or many Modules depending on what the xml file  has in it.
       <Module*n>
    </device>Other problems. Some of the information I want to store as a sortable Table, but I cannot seem to get any of the sort methods to work. They work if I just open a browser, and run the html file, but if I stick the html file into the JEditorPane it does not work? - any suggestions?
    Also, can I pass a JTabbebPane to the JEditorPane, or can I create a tabbed pane in html that will do the same thing.
    I am working with a very small device. It does not have a web application container like Tomcat on it. Just Apache, and Java. That is why I am using Swing.

    Using 'productAttribute/text()' gets you all three productAttribute nodes and then grabs all the text under that node. It simply concatenates together all the text under the desired node, hence the results you are seeing. If you want to get the text for each child node separately, then you need to do something like (assumes 10.2.x.x or greater)
    WITH your_table AS (SELECT
    '<root><productAttribute>
    <name>Baiying_attr_03</name>
    <required>false</required>
    </productAttribute>
    <productAttribute>
    <name>Baiying_attr_04</name>
    <required>false</required>
    </productAttribute>
    <productAttribute>
    <name>Baiying_attr_05</name>
    <required>false</required>
    </productAttribute></root>' xmldata
    FROM DUAL)
    -- Above simulates your DB table as I don't have it
    -- You only care about the following
    SELECT xt.*
      FROM your_table yt,
           XMLTable('/root/productAttribute'
                    PASSING XMLTYPE(yt.xmldata)
                    COLUMNS
                    prd_nm   VARCHAR2(30)  PATH 'name',
                    prod_rqd VARCHAR2(5)   PATH 'required') xt;Note: I added a <root> node as you had just provided a XML fragment. You will need to adjust accordingly.
    The above produces
    PRD_NM                         PROD_RQD
    Baiying_attr_03                false
    Baiying_attr_04                false
    Baiying_attr_05                false

  • Serious bug in LabView 8.5 Formula Node

    Hello,
    Thought I would warn my fellow LabView programmers about a serious error in the Formula Node:
    The problem may be encountered by anyone running a non-us LabView installation:
    I am located in Norway, and over here we use the comma (,) as the separator in floating point numbers: So, the use 3.14 is written like 3,14.
    The problem is that the Formula Node accepts both formats, but only the US Notation is interpreted correctly !
    Example:
    float64 x1, x2;
    x1 = 3.14;    // Interpreted Correctly !
    x2 = 3,14;     // Interpreted as 3: One might say this leads to problems.......

    Of course it is a Bug:  **Any** code that **any** compiler does not recognize, should be flagged with an error message ! I have written my share of compilers myself, and they all flag down code that is not accepted as an error.
    Failing to do so may cause serious, expensive and very hard to trace errors.
    Sorry, but I would expect that the NI team in their 20. year of LabView development is capable of better than this.
    Sorry to disappoint you! It's not a bug since that statement is absolutely valid albeit useless in that context.
    The Formula Node since LabVIEW 7 supports C syntax except some advanced features such as pointers. In C the comma in expressions is the sequence operator meaning it separates expressions that will be executed from left to right and the last one will actually be the result of the entire sequence expression. This is often used for the initilizer expression inside the for statement, to initilize several variables to a start value.
    And the NI team really is a lot better than you think. The online help may be a bit short about the reasons why the comma is not supported as decimal point but there have been many people thinking about this before it was made like that. It was either C syntax support without localized decimal point or some homegrown syntax with localized decimal point and they went for the first.

  • Submitting form data as XML - Can you edit the node structure?

    Hi guys,  I was wondering if there was a way to edit the node structure of an xml file [submitted via a form through email], instead of what livecycle creates by default; or, is it a case that once you select 'submit As: XML Data (XML)' - it's out of your hands?  Thanks in anticipation for any help / suggestions. Cheers Dyr

    Thanks Dallas -- all sorted now with
    your advice . Cheers Dyr

  • BUG: XML Property Inspector

    When editing an XML file in the Property Inspector, if I change a value in a sub-element, the Property Inspector closes that subelement and other subelements in that same level. Here is a test case. The file:
    <?xml version = '1.0' encoding = 'UTF-8'?>
    <DomainSet>
    <Domain name="YN">
    <AllowableValue value="Y" meaning="Yes3"/>
    <AllowableValue value="N" meaning="No" />
    </Domain>
    </DomainSet>
    1. Click the Domain node in the Structure window.
    2. Expand the first AllowableValue node and change the meaning property.
    3. Click the name property and wait a second or two. The Allowable Value node will close.
    The same behavior occurs in 9.0.3 and 9.0.3.1; both windows LAF and Oracle LAF. It doesn't matter if the XML Editor is open or not.

    To clarify, steps 2 and 3 are in the Property Inspector.
