Build option export to different workspace - problem

Hi All,
I have a page with two regions. Logically, the two regions are mutually exclusive, only one should ever appear. I've created a build option called "Simulated Login" and set the build option of region 1 to "{Not Simulated Login}" and the build option of region 2 to "Simulated Login". When I run the page and the build option is excluded, I see only region 1. When the build option is included, I see only region 2.
I have a problem when I export my application to another workspace. Region 2's build option is still set the same as the original application, but region 1's build option is not set after the import - it should be "{Not Simulated Login}" but instead it is blank. Now, when I run the page and the build option is excluded, I see only region 1 and when it's included, I see both regions.
In the meantime I'll create another build option as the obvious workaround - I'll just have to make sure that I keep the two build options set to the opposite of eachother!

For anyone that's interested, I think I've got it...
In the export file I can see the build option:

I manually changed the export file so that Region 1 has the parameter:p_required_patch=> '-123207604215572408' - wwv_flow_api.g_id_offsetSo I subtract the offset for the build option on Region 1. Then I imported it and it worked correctly.
Think this is a bug in Apex!

  • How to hide/disable option "Export In Query Ready Mode" in HTML FR reports (workspace)version 11.1.1.3

    Hi all,
is there a way to hide or disable the option "Export In Query Ready Mode" for HTML FR reports (workspace) version 11.1.1.3.
    Thanks in advance!
    Regards
    Tej.

    Hi Tej,
The feature, "to hide or disable the option "Export In Query Ready Mode"  has been introduced in Financial Reporting 11.1.2.3.
        Logon to EPM Workspace.
Open menu File > Preferences > Financial Reporting.
The new option, called "Disabled" is available for Query Ready Mode. If selected will disable Query Ready mode completely.
    Thanks,

  • Bugreport: Build Option Flag "Default on Export" not copied to Translation

In a multilingual environment the Build-Option Flag "Default on Export" seems to be nulled when publishing the translations.
The main application has the correct Default on Export-Flag, but the translations don't.
This leads to the result that after publishing and exporting the build option is excluded in the main application but included in the translations.

    Joel,
    thanks for confirming.
For now i'm using another one of my "dirty" workarounds: after publishing the translations i do an Update on APEX_040000.WWV_FLOW_PATCHES and set the DEFAULT_ON_EXPORT to the value it should have.

  • Different build options Icewm v1.13 and v1.14?

Were new build options turned on for IceWM v1.14, versus v1.13?
Namely, does the latest source have an "anti-aliasing" option you can build in?  I did not see an option in the `preferences' file to turn this off or on.
My eyes are about to shrivel into the size of a green pea from the squinting.  The anti-aliasing was not as apparent in v1.13 for me.  v1.14 really BLURS ALL images beyond belief.  In fact, I ditched Gnome because it's too damn blurry.  Now, my good friend IceWM has abandoned me as well.
Anyone know how to turn this anti-aliasing crap off?

skoal wrote:I think I'm good for the moment with XFCE4 and won't be going back to ICEwm for the moment.
Yes, I saw your enthusiastic (a little understatement there!) posts about XFCE4 after I replied ... I kinda figured you wouldn't be needing the ICEwm package.
skoal wrote:It would be nice if there were a way to retrieve older versions through pacman.  I would like to know how to do that for my own benefit for future packages, if possible.
I don't think there is, but I don't know for sure.  You might want to tar up your pacman cache before your clear it, in case you ever want to revert to an earlier package.

  • How to import shared components from a different workspace.

I have several workspaces / schemas (one to one relationship) in the same server.
When I try to install components exported from an application in one workspace to an application in another workspace I get an error because of the different workspace.
    Source workspace/application = SCAI / 102
    Target workspace/application = ACAMPO / 129
The objects in the database are identical in both schemas behind the workspaces.
Is it possible to edit the SQL file to address it to the target workspace?
I cannot see any uncommented entries in the sql referring to the application / workspace or schema name, but these two:
    prompt APPLICATION 102 - SCAI
    wwv_flow.g_flow_id := 129;
Will it work if i change it to
    prompt APPLICATION 129 - ACAMPO

    Francisco,
No, it won't work. The internal IDs of application components are all different between the two applications.
The objects in the database are identical in both schemas behind the workspaces.
This problem is not related to database objects like tables, etc.

  • Copy Images from different workspace

    Hi,
I have an application that uses 4 images. These images are in shared components -> images of that application. This application is in the workspace, say 'X'
    When I go to these Images I see - #APP_IMAGES# xyz.gif
The only options I find there are - Display install file script and Display deinstall file script.
Now I want to use these images in my application. I am developing this application in a different workspace, say 'Y'.
How do I get these Images into my workspace? And put it in the shared components of my application.
    Please Suggest.
    Thanks.

    Hi ,
    Try this
Open Home>Application Builder>Application X>Export / Import>Export->see the tabs Workspace Users      Application      CSS      Images      Files      Themes      User Interface Defaults now click the image then proceed->
choose from Export Images in Application selectlist X->File Format=dos->Click EXPORT IMAGEs button.
    X.sql file will get download
go to your workspace and choose Y application
Select the file you wish to import to the export repository. Once imported, you can install your file.
    Open Home>Application Builder>Application Y>Export / Import>Import-> browse the sql file and
    File Type=image import
click Next button-> image will import in your Y applicaiton
Conform by checking this under shared components-> images
    Thanks

  • "Build and Export Cache" fails to export 100% Previews:

"Build and Export Cache" fails to export 100% Previews:
I am moving from Bridge CS5 to CS6 and have a very large number of 100% Previews in my CS5 cache.  The idea of regenerating all these 100% Previews in CS6 is NOT amusing.  It is amazing that there is not a simple import function for this task as a way to make the software upgrade more "seamless"… but apparently there is not.
I have read the Adobe documents:
"Bridge Help / Manage the cache | Adobe Bridge CS4, CS5"
"Creative Suite / Work with the Adobe Bridge cache"
Based on these documents, in Bridge CS5 I used the export function in
    Tools>Cache>Build and Export Cache…
        with "Build 100% Previews" checked
and "Export Cache To Folders" checked.
Unfortunately, the "Build and Export Cache" fails to export 100% Previews to the target directory.  They should appear in the target directory as hidden files in the format xxxxx.NEF.JPG.  Yes, I do know how to view hidden files in both the Finder and in Bridge.
In Bridge CS5 I tried Purging and rebuilding the Cache for the target directory with no luck.
I tried running "Build and Export Cache" in Bridge CS6….  still no hidden Preview files in the target directory.
My settings in both CS5 & CS6 Bridge - Preferences:
"Keep 100% Previews in Cache" is checked
"Automatically Export Cache to Folders When Possible" is checked
My settings in both CS5 & CS6 Bridge - Options for thumbnail quality and preview generation:
        "Generate 100% Previews" is checked
    Using OS X 10.6.8
    Anyone have a suggestion?????

Bridge is the only piece of software I have used, which incorporates a database, where new versions do not provide for importing the objects of the older version.  Very strange.
That is a very mildly conclusion but unfortunately until the cache strategy for Bridge is finally sorted out this problem will exist.
Now I have to confess that I can't use the 'Auto export cache when possible' for several versions now due to a rare problem that after the first time usage without problem created export cache almost every second time generates a warning message that due to failure it needs to replace the Cache T file, hence I deselected this option permanently.
I would think that if you have those already cached and exported files for 100 % preview in the dedicated folders it would read those files and add it to the database and central cache file when having pointed Bridge to that folder, but I'm far from sure about that.
Also after rereading your first post you state to expect the build and export cache to build also hidden files with the two extensions from original filetype followed by .jpg from cache in the folder itself (target directory)? Here I'm a bit lost. The mentioned double extension files only appear in the central cache folder and are visible but buried  in the subfolders for each quality in the central cache file at user library (default) or custom set location in Bridge prefs.
The exported cache to folder are hidden files and as long as I can remember that where 2 files already in the File browser (forgot the extension they used for this) and currently .BridgeCache (very small, few KB) and the for me problematic .BridgeCacheT file that can grow very large and has about the same size as the subfolder generated under full in the central cache.
I can see the content of the central cache without problem including the double extensions and previews of the files as thumbs in the Finder, jet with option to show hidden files I can see the CacheT file but only as a blank document icon and I can't find an application on my system to open this file to reveal its content.
Just tried it on a folder with small sized files and having set preview quality to HQ and 100 % preview (checkerboard icon in Path Bar) and then used the option from menu tools to build and export cache to folder including 100 %. Both subfolder in Central Cache and about same sized hidden CacheT file where generated without problems and the full preview was instantly on demand using magnifier. (but all this without the option in prefs to auto export to folder)
So to me it seems (if I understand everything correctly) that either the existing exported files from CS5 do cause the problem or your setup of CS6 is not working correctly.
Are we still on the same track or am I completely lost?

  • How to combine two applications with different workspaces in APEX

    Hi,
Can anyone help out in merging two applications with different workspaces in APEX 3.2 ?
    Thanks in advance,

    Hello Satya,
    >> I am Satya …
Please take one more step to help us and update your forum handle to something friendlier than user123… Thanks.
    >> Can anyone help out in merging two applications with different workspaces in APEX 3.2 ?
This is not a trivial task.
You didn’t mentioned if both workspaces sharing the same APEX instance, or they are on two different instances (machines). I believe the latter is a pre-condition to a success.
First you need to remember that importing an APEX component, like a single page, is possible only to the same application that it was exported from. This is still valid if you have the same workspace on two separate APEX instances – one is an import of the other (which makes it an identical copy). Still, the application ID must be the same, or you’ll get the following error: “This page was exported from a different application or from an application in different workspace. Page cannot be installed in this application.”
You can’t simply manipulating the export file, if the two workspaces are sharing the same APEX instance, as all workspaces on the same instance shares the same APEX metadata files, and you’ll receive a “unique constraint violated” error messages. That means you can’t import one application into the workspace of the other, even if you are using a different application ID.
As far as I can see, the only viable way of doing an application merge is to have two identical workspaces, on two separate APEX instances. The two applications should share the same application ID, although this parameter can be changed in the import file. You should export the page in one application – on the first instance – and import it into the other application – on the second instance.
You should also make sure that the exported page ID doesn’t exist on the target application, otherwise it will be replaced by the new imported page. Also, if the imported page include references to shared components that are not defined on the second application, it might also pose a problem.
As I said, this is not trivial. The benefits are mostly depend on the amount and complexity of the pages you want to merge. If they are not many, and simple, you should consider just re-creating them on the target application. If they are very complex, the merge might fail anyway.
    Regards,
    Arie.

  • "Build" option is greyed out.

Hello. I am working on a Mac Book Pro with a Superdrive USB DVD drive. Using Adobe Encore CS6 with Creative Cloud. Exported .m2v and .wav files from premiere and imported them into Encore. Have set up the first play function. A new DVD is in the drive but the "Build" option is greyed out. Any ideas out there?

Change for the output to be "folder" or "image" rather than disk. If the Build button is then available, it may indicate that Encore is not seeing your drive, or otherwise not ready to write to it.
A workaround if that is the case is to build to image and burn with Toast.

  • How do I export ONLY the workspace artwork?

First of all hi everyone, i think this is my first post here.
now for the problem: illustrator cs4: its simple, when i export my artwork it saves everything incuding whats on the pasteboard (not the direct stage / immediate workspace).
so my question is how do i export just the workspace artwork to tiff or jpeg? (ultimately will need to be jpeg)
i dont see why it would export every visible thing, i must be missing something obvious..
    thanks in advance!

    Maffooo,
At least in older versions, the Workspace meant the whole area you could work on, and the Artboard was the area corresponding to the page.
In the oldest versions you had to Object>Crop Marks>Make to crop the artwork.
Later, that became Object>Crop Area>Make. I am not sure whether you can still set Crop Area in CS4.
And even later, the Artboard has had its own tool and has been working as crop area, so you could DoubleClick the Artboard Tool and set it to enclose the selected artwork. Is that not the way it works in CS4?

  • Build and Export Cache

I've already posted this in the Bridge forum, but I thought it might just be relevant to ACR too, so here goes...
I've just bought a Panasonic GF2. ACR support was introduced with 6.3, so I have no problems with opening its raw files in 6.3 or 6.4RC.
If I click on a newly-uploaded raw thumbnail in Bridge, a high quality preview is generated, as expected. However, if I select the entire folder, and select 'Build and Export Cache', nothing happens - I am returned to Bridge as if nothing happened, and the thumbnails stay showing the embedded versions.
This is something I do regularly with my Nikon D300 raw files. Bridge usually counts through the images, and the previews are updated with the ACR-generated HQ versions. But no so with the new GF2.
I wondered if this had anything to do with GF2 support in ACR, rather than Bridge itself?

    Curt Y wrote:
I checked the site http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/cameraraw.html and there is no Panasonic GF-2 listed for ACR 6.3
I thought 6.4 was releaseed, but all I see is 6.4 release canidate.
In fact all the cameras begin with DMC.  This camera mey be too new.  Have seen some posts to suggest it can take as long a 2 months to get a new model covered.
    It's the 7th one down!
I can open the raw images fine, and if I actually click on a thumbnail or several thumbnails, Bridge generates HQ previews. All that's happening is that Bulid/Export Cache isn't working for this camera.
I am using 6.4 RC. I might try rolling back to 6.3.

  • Access App Modules from same workspace OR from different workspaces

    Hello,
1- I want to access an application module methods "application A", from another application module methods "Application B", the two applications are developed under different workspaces, Is this doable
in Oracle ADF, I need a solution other than web services if possible.

    I used the following code:
    public String getQueryMultipleDB(){

    String DB2 = " ";
    ApplicationModule appModuleDB2 =

    DB2 = String.valueOf(viewObjectDB2.getRowCount());
    return "DB1: "+ DB1 + " DB2: "+ DB2;

Depending on your use case have a look at either nested application modules:

or packaging an application module in an ADF library:

Sounds weird...  You could try the standard fix for general unexplained behaviour in a document; export it to idml, open that, save as an Indesign file and try exporting again.  If that doesn't work try a few different presets, like smallest file size.  If that doesn't work try opening your image in Photoshop, resaving as a psd, placing that (delete your old one) and see if that helps.  Obviously do this on a copy....

  • Media Encoder export a different font from the project file

    HI
Media Encoder export a different font from the project file when I use a installed font
The problem doesn't occur when exporting directly from Premiere
    Any ides why?
    Thanks

Hi! This also happened to me quite a few times with different fonts. Your fix worked, thank you. I don't think it's the font since, like I said, it happened with a few fonts, but just in case I was using Mf Young & Beautiful in TTF format.
Are there any side effects to turning off "import sequences natively"?

  • Importing page different workspace ID

    Hi ,
I have an application on my development environment and I created a new workspace in the production environment.
The workspace I created on the production env has a different WORKSPACE ID and due to this I cannot import individual pages from development into production.
Is it possible for me to create a workspace in production with the same workspace id as that on development ?
I don't want to import the whole application all over again but be able to import just a few individual pages.
Also next time I create a production workspace, can i ensure that this workspace id is the same to facilitate individual page imports ?
    Thanks,
    Deepa

    Earl,
You are correct that export/import of individual pages between applications in different workspaces is not supported, but there is a workaround.
In the following example, I have two workspaces: Workspace X contains Application101 that has a page I want to import into Application 202 - but that Application202 is in Workspace Y.
    1) Export the whole of Application101 from Workspace X.
    2) Import Application101 into Workspace Y.
    3) Go into Application202 in Workspace Y and select a page (any page, doesn't matter which one).
    4) Click on the "Copy" button and then choose to copy a page from another application.
    5) Select Application101 (which was imported into Workspace Y in step 2) from the drop down.
    6) Select the relevant page you want to copy.
    7) Follow the wizard to the end.
Result: a page from Application101 now exists in Application202, even though the two applications were created in separate workspaces. Not the simplest method, but it does work :-)
    Cheers,
    Colin
