Build Problems of dbxml-2.2.13 (with java enabled)

Hello,
I have tried building DB XML several times now without success. I am using the buildall.sh unix script.
Both with "--enabled-java" on and off the following error occurs after some time:
../os/os_open.c: In function `__os_mkdir':
../os/os_open.c:404: too many arguments to function `mkdir'
make: *** [os_open.lo] Error 1
I don't know what to do with this error. Can anyone help me, please?
Thanks.
P.S.: If needed, I will provide the whole config.log

I got the same problem
MinGW on Windows XP
when I tried to compile berkeleyDB part under the folder
c:\berkeleydbxml\db-4.3.29\build_unix\ make
$ make
/bin/sh ./libtool --mode=compile gcc -c -I. -I../dist/..  -O2  ../dist/../os/os_open.c
gcc -c -I. -I../dist/.. -O2 ../dist/../os/os_open.c -DDLL_EXPORT -DPIC -o .libs/os_open.o
../os/os_open.c: In function `__os_mkdir':
../os/os_open.c:404: too many arguments to function `mkdir'
make: *** [os_open.lo] Error 1
any suggestion, thanks
thanks

    Since no one has answer this post, I recommend opening  a support case with CSS as they can work with you to solve this problem.

  • Problems during deploy of an EAR with MDS enabled

    I am trying to deploy an EAR with MDS enabled (file-repository) to a WLS cluster, but I get this error:
    weblogic.application.ModuleException: :oracle.mds.config.MDSConfigurationException:MDS-01335: namespace "/xliffBundles" mapped to metadata-store-usage "MAR_TargetRepos" but its definition was not found in MDS configuration.
    Why does it happen? What should I check/do to solve the problem?
    Note that the deploy of the same EAR to the integrated WLS in Jdev works without exceptions.

    When i tried to deploy the application using Jdeveloper Deployment Wizard, it prompts me a popup for 'Deployment Configuration' where we need to specify Respository Name, Respository Type, Partition Name, path/JNDI Info. I selected proper values and deployed, the applcation is deployed perfectly and works fine.
    But when i try to deploy the application using build.xml file, its error out as show below
    weblogic.application.ModuleException: :oracle.mds.config.MDSConfigurationException:MDS-01335: namespace "/xliffBundles" mapped to metadata-store-usage "MAR_TargetRepos" but its definition was not found in MDS configuration.

  • Known problems or limits regarding accessing BDB with Java via JNI

    Hi,
    we are currently in an evalutation phase and are planning to use BDB (C|JE) as back-end for a queueing system. This system is written in Java. One key requirement is high availability of the data hold in the back-end. We need the guarantee, that no data is lost, e.g. data added after checkpoints. The throughput is expected to be quite high (> 10.000.000 records hold within one single BDB-environment (we would use n parallel BDB-envs inside the service).
    So i'm wondering about using JE or DB... The former doesn't provide a replication system but is a 100%-pure Java implementation, the latter is written in C and accessed via JNI, which adds some overhead and maybe instability issues but comes with an integrated replication system. JE would require us to develop an in-application replication system or to use a DFS for HA or something like that.
    Are there any known issues regarding using DB with Java via JNI? Or any other hints?
    TIA,
    Dirk

    Silly me, I forgot to mention that a null return value means that an exception was thrown so you should get that and print the value (although I suspect it will be "class not found").

  • Configure with java enabled on fedora7

    When building 2.3.10 on Fedora 7 using --enable-java, I get the errors in the configure script about several system headers being present but not compilable (ie sys/select.h, sys/time.h).  Looking in the config.log, it seems that the following command is being used to compile the programs that test the usability of those headers:
    gcc -c -O3 -D_GNU_SOURCE -D_REENTRANT -I/usr/lib/jvm/java-1.5.0-gcj/bin/../../../../include/linux conftest.c
    interestingly, if I take that conftest.c program and compile it with this command instead:
    gcc -c -O3 -D_GNU_SOURCE -D_REENTRANT conftest.c
    it works fine. The build also works fine if I don't specify '--enable-java' to the buildall.sh script. Is there a bug in the configure script that these Java headers are being used?
    Thanks
    Matt

    As a bad-hack work around, commenting out lines 22704-22709 in db-4.5.20/dist/configure and lines 20846-20851 in dbxml/dist/configure fixes this problem (ie the lines that set JNI_INCLUDE_DIRS).
    There's got to be a better fix, but I don't know autoconf well enough.

  • Build Problems, MSI GTX560ti and P67A-C45 with i5

    All went together and POSTed fine, my problems are with the video card. After installing Windows 7 I tried to install the video card driver but got the message "no compatible hardware detected". In device manager the card is not recognised as a GTX560, it just says "Standard VGA Adapter". The fans on the card were spinning, but the display looked like 800x600 or something. Assuming the card was faulty, I swapped in my old GTX 260 (which was working this morning, running on the same PSU) but then the pc wouldnt power up at all, when I press the switch the fans spin for a fraction of a second and it powers down again. So, in desperation, I dug out an even older 9600GT, put that in, and it works, its recognised by the OS and the driver installed automatically. Now, the 9600GT requires no additional power other than what it gets from its slot, which suggests that my PSU either isnt coping with the new setup in some way, even though it was running that same GTX260 this morning, or that its faulty in some way. The PSU btw is a Zalman ZM600-HP, which does appear on the list of supported PSUs for the GTX560, even though it is a few years old now.
    Do I need a new PSU? Thoughts?

  • Sincere Eclipse 3.0.2 build problems using a package for all Eclipse Java p

    Hi,
    I had the following problem:
    - jar-file put into a directory (for jdbc-access)
    - Environment variable set in Window/preferences/Java/BuildPath/ClassPathVariables:
    Name: classpath (could be any other name, does not correlate with WIN env. var.)
    Path: C:\java\eclipse\jars\mysql-connector-java-3.1.8-bin.jar
    - class-file was automatically built by Eclipse, error message:
    . java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.mysql.jdbc.Driver
    In Windows I set the classpath environment variable to
    classpath=.;C:\java\eclipse\jars\mysql-connector-java-3.1.8-bin.jar
    In Windows/i.e., a DOS-Shell. It works
    As it didnt work in Eclipse, I deleted Eclipse and installed it again (from an elder version I had on another workstation)
    After starting Eclipse asked me to rebuild all -> Yes (it then needed some time to do so)
    Then it worked
    So, right here I thought I knew how to go on in other projects using this jar-file, but:
    The same problem appears in another project, but it works in WIN/DOS command line, but not in Eclipse. Project/Clean und rebuilding automatically or manually doesnt help.
    As a workaround for this project I did in
    Project/Properties/Java/BuildPath/Projects I marked a link to the project where it works (see above), and now it works, too.
    But I am not satisfied, I dont like trial and error solutions.
    I suppose that Project/Clean doesnt really clean properly.
    Has anybody made similar experience and knows the real solution?
    Thanks
    Michel

    What search term did you use??  Here is monodevelop-git already in the AUR.
    It seems it may have been abandonded, but perhaps you could take over that package rather than starting a new one.
    Additionally, a patch is applied in that PKGBUILD.  Perhaps that could be needed to solve your problem.

  • Problem with java swing button and loop

    Problem with java swing button and loop
    Im using VAJ 4.0. and Im doing normal GUI application. I have next problem.
    I have in the same class two jswing buttons named start (ivjGStart) and stop (ivjGStop) and private static int field named Status where initial value is 0. This buttons should work something like this:
    When I click on start button it must do next:
    Start button must set disenabled and Stop button must set enabled and selected. Field status is set to 1, because this is a condition in next procedure in some loop. And then procedure named IzvajajNeprekinjeno() is invoked.
    And when I click on stop button it must do next:
    Start button must set enabled and selected and Stop button must set disenabled.
    Field status is set to 0.
    This works everything fine without loop do .. while inside the procedure IzvajajNeprekinjeno(). But when used this loop the start button all the time stay (like) pressed. And this means that a cant stop my loop.
    There is java code, so you can get better picture:
    /** start button */
    public void gStart_ActionEvents() {
    try {
    ivjGStart.setEnabled(false);
    ivjGStop.setEnabled(true);
    ivjGStop.setSelected(true);
    getJTextPane1().setText("Program is running ...");
    Status = 1;
    } catch (Exception e) {}
    /** stop button */
    public void gStop_ActionEvents() {
    try {
    ivjGStart.setEnabled(true);
    ivjGStart.setSelected(true);
    ivjGStop.setEnabled(false);
    getJTextPane1().setText("Program is NOT running ...");
    Status = 0;
    } catch (Exception e) {
    /** procedure IzvajajNeprekinjeno() */
    public void IzvajajNeprekinjeno() {  //RunLoop
    try {
    int zamik = 2000; //delay
    do {
    Thread.sleep(zamik);
    PreberiDat(); //procedure
    } while (Status == 1);
    } catch (Exception e) {
    So, I'm asking what I have to do, that start button will not all the time stay pressed? Or some other aspect of solving this problem.
    Any help will be appreciated.
    Best regards,
    Tomi

    This is a multi thread problem. When you start the gui, it is running in one thread. Lets call that GUI_Thread so we know what we are talking about.
    Since java is task-based this will happen if you do like this:
    1. Button "Start" is pressed. Thread running: GUI_Thread
    2. Event gStart_ActionEvents() called. Thread running: GUI_Thread
    3. Method IzvajajNeprekinjeno() called. Thread running: GUI_Thread
    4. Sleep in method IzvajajNeprekinjeno() on thread GUI_Thread
    5. Call PreberiDat(). Thread running: GUI_Thread
    6. Check status. If == 1, go tho 4. Thread running: GUI_Thread.
    Since the method IzvajajNeprekinjeno() (what does that mean?) and the GUI is running in the same thread and the event that the Start button has thrown isn't done yet, the program will go on in the IzvajajNeprekinjeno() method forever and never let you press the Stop-button.
    What you have to do is do put either the GUI in a thread of its own or start a new thread that will do the task of the IzvajajNeprekinjeno() method.
    http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/uiswing/index.html
    This tutorial explains how to build a multi threaded gui.
