Build Specification does not include all files for my VI.

Hi!
As a part of a semester project i have build a VI to control a filtration unit. The VI is working fine on my computer, but I graduate next month and I have to deliver the files on to a person on the university. The problem is that even though i use the "Build Specification" function (i use LabView 2011 Professional Development System), files are still missing when the program is started on the new computer. A warning in the project file indicates that files are missing or removed to a different location. A file named pid.lib is not found, and it seems like the path to each file is the same as on my computer, but the build specification doesn't change that to fit the new computer.
I am a LabView newbe, and I have searced this forum and help files to try to solve this by my self, but now my time is becoming limited. Can anyone help me with this?

Hi Henrik
You can see what versions of LabVIEW and which Toolkits is installed in Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX). If you Open MAX, and Select "My System" --> "Software in the left menu, then you can see all software installed.
If you click on the LabVIEW installation. In this case LabVIEW 2011, you can see all toolkits installed.
When you run a LabVIEW project / application on another PC, LabVIEW will use a defined priority of where to load the files from. This is specified in Tools --> Options --> Path --> VI Search Path.
So LabVIEW will frist try to find the VI/VI library in the folder of your project and if the VI is not located there it will look for it as a build function in the vilib, userlib or instrlib folders of LabVIEW. These folders contains VI's and VI libraries installed with LabVIEW.
In this case, as mentioned above you properly don't have the same toolkits installed on both machines. Therefore the PID.lib is not found in the vilib folder as it should be, and thereby you get the error. You can confirm this by reviewing the installed modules as mentioned above.

  • Workshop IDE Build does not include all files

We have property files also which we want included as part of the build process

the IDE build and customize it to include *.properties like this
    <zip basedir="${dest.path}" zipfile="${ejb.outputJar}" encoding="UTF8"> <!-- JARs

    Hi Mindy,
    Why not in EJB?
Yes there is no argument as to why property files cannot be copied over from EJB
    project.
The reason is that Workshop has not implemented the feature with EJBProject. We
have that feature only for Java projects and not for EJB project.
    Thanks a lot,

  • Create batch input, does not include all records

Have anyone experienced, when doing Create Batch Input from the LSMW menu it does not include all rows.
For example I have a .txt file with 3000 records that I specify in "Specify Files"
    "Read Data"  reads 3000 records.
    "Convert Data" Converts 3000 records
"Create Batch input Sessions" creates 2461 records? ?
I have noticed that this happen when the system is busy running many batches and Idocs.

I'm talking about LSMW programs with regular Batch input Recording.
I haven't noticed which transactions it skips since I do not run the Batch, when I notice that it does not include all rows as I have read and converted.
However usually if I "Create the batch input session" once again it includes all the records from the conversion before.
But since Create a batch input can take a long time depending on the amount of transactions it creates this is not a desired option.
So it is not possible that the transactions it does not create are errors since its possible to run them successfully. And I haven't used any SKIP TRANSACTION in the mapping step.
But like I said this only happens when the system is running many batches / idocs at the moment, for example if we are loading the material master at the same time as I run my batch input programs.

  • FB4 Beta2 does not include swz files

When compiling a release Build, FB4 does not include the smaller swz files but bigger swf files (e. g. framework_4.0.0.10945.swf) instead. The swz files where included only a few time at the beginning of the project.
I need to finish this project with the 4.0.0.10945 SDK.
How can I let FB4 Beta 2 include and link to the framework etc. swz files?
    Thanks,
    David

    Hi,
For the moment I would suggest that you use 'merge into code' rather than runtime libraries. After flashbuilder is released I would assume that the runtime libraries will be available online through Adobe, then it makes sense for applications that are used on a regular basis to use cached libraries, right now everytime you change a build you will also have a new set of libraries to upload/download, along with issues of libraries getting mixed up. SO rather than having to be concerend about a bunch of libraries being stored in the flashplayer cache you only have a single swf to think about.
    David.

  • Emptying trash securely does not delete all files? Any ideas?

When I try and empty trash (securely) it does not delete all files, so I am left with files in the Trash?  Any ideas?

Select one of the items in the Trash and open the Info window. What does it show for Where?

  • Lightroom 3 does NOT support raw files for the  Canon Sureshot S95

Have just bought the new Canon Sureshot S95
after contacting Adobe support I am told Lightroom 3 does NOT support raw files for the
    Canon Sureshot S95.
Come on Adobe.....please provide an update asap.

    (1) Well Boss I did what you said and used Canon DPP to convert to TIFFs. Choices are 8-bit TIFF or 16-bit TIFF - I chose 16-bit because part (90% part) of the reason for wanting to work in RAW is to keep the bit depth of teh original. On my EOS 40D it is supposedly 14 bits, which gives great scope to play with the levels & curves without seeing poster effects. If I choose 16 bit TIFF then each S95 image becomes a 70MB file, parallel to my JPEG and RAW.  Hardly a satisfactory solution.
(I realise, however, that I don't actually know the bit depth of the S95 RAW file - anybody? ).
    (2) SUGGESTION-  even if you are adding S95 support to the next update (which I dearly hope), be kinder to those with new cameras in general and allow LR to import JPEGs if it cannot import the RAWs (overriding if necessary the 'ignore JPEG' preference setting).  I am sure users with that preference would still prefer a JPEG than no picture at all!
Since I discovered this compatibility problem, I switched the camera to record RAW+JPEG*. To my great irritation LR3 ignores the JPEGs even though it cannot load the RAWs.  So if I want to import from one supported camera (EOS40D) and one unsupported camera (S95) I have to keep going into preferences to switch on and off the 'ignore JPEG' function.

    *  (this seems to be a setting that needs doing in the various different modes of the camera, by the way).

  • VerboseToZip failed, and does not include all required file.

    Hi,
I've been trying to use verboseToZip to produce smaller weblogic.jar file. This is because the application is going to be distributable via JWS.
I followed the step as provided in weblogic webpage. But I got some error message.
    1. "Unable to find class file named 'com.sun.corba.se.impl.orbutil.GetPropertyAction'."
I then found out that this class is located in
    C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0_06\lib\rt.jar
So I included this JAR file in my classpath, and run verboseToZip again. Seems passing that error message now, but I got another one:
    2. "Unable to find class file named 'sun.reflect.GeneratedSerializationConstructorAccessor25'."
    This occurs with every "sun.reflect.GeneratedSerializationConstructorAccessorXX"
So I edited the classList file, and remove all occurence of "GeneratedSerializationConstructorAccessor"
By the way, the line in the classList file is:
    [Loaded sun.reflect.GeneratedSerializationConstructorAccessor25 from __JVM_DefineClass__]
I then ran verboseToZip again, and got another error:
    3. "Unable to find class file named 'sun.reflect.GeneratedMethodAccessor9'."
Same as before, I removed all occurrence of that line.
    [Loaded sun.reflect.GeneratedMethodAccessor9 from __JVM_DefineClass__]
Ran verboseToZip again.. yet another error
    4. "Unable to find class file named 'java.awt.$Proxy0'."
Did the same thing, ran verboseToZip again...and another error!!!! (this is an awful process for just producing the slim down version of weblogic.jar)
    5. "Unable to find class file named 'sun.reflect.GeneratedConstructorAccessor4'."
Again, same thing.. removed it, and run verboseToZip again. Finally... it ran without error. BUT.....
the generated file does not contain all the class I need..
for example, it does not have "weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory". Hence, all of this awful process is really a waste.
Has anyone ever experienced this before? I mean, it should be a straightforward process without the need to remove all those lines, right?
Thanks a lot for the helps!

    Alex Wibowo

  • Build.vi does not output Generated files list for installer

In LV 2011, Build.vi does not output a "Generated files" list when used on an installer. Example attached. When run on my system, "Generated files" is an empty array and "error out" shows no errors or warnings. The built installer can be found on disk, so I know the build succeeded.
I critically need to know the target folder for my built installer so I can use it in an automated build tool. Assuming this is a real bug, can someone help me with a workaround that doesn't require an operator to point the VI to the target path?

    Hi David,
You may find the solution in the following two links
    Creating Builds Programmatically
    Build executable and installer programmatically
In the second link, there is an example code posted by Suse to find the destination path programmatically, hope it helps answer your question.

  • Browsing for file in icon mode does not show all files and folders.

When in Illustrator and I select open, the preview pane does not arrange the files to fit the window size. This does not happen in list mode but in icon mode. I can't see all the files and folders because they are outside of the window and I can't scroll to the right to see them.

    Yosemite, right?
Don't use anything other than list view. It's all buggy.

  • Finder does not show all files from NAS

    Hi there
I have a NAS attached to my mini where music, ... is stored. I can access it from both the mac as well as a PC.
for some reason the mac finder does not display all the files in the directory even though the files are there (i can see and open them when accessing the NAS through the PC). at the moment I only see this happen in a folder that contains video (mpg) files and some event must have triggered this strange behaviour because I could play the file sometime ago without problem.
also, some of the files are shown as a folder than a file in the finder. E.g. a clip called last_holiday.mpg would show as a folder (when you open it it is empty) rather than a video file.
I have tried to re-mount the share, but this has no effect.
Is this a bug or is there some wrong setting?
    thanks for any help,
    Chris

I have this same problem with mounted DAV server folders. I can see the files via Windows and other DAV clients -- just not via Finder. Moreover, it does not apply to all files: some of them do show up. And, it does not happen all of the time: just occasionally.

  • LR5.7.1 does not recognize all files on SD or CF cards?

I have been using LR 5.7.1 through creative cloud. Using LR since verison 1 ) Using a card reader to import, LR now does not recognize all of the files on either SD or CF cards. To get LR to see all of the files, I must close LR and sturn off comptuer and back on again. --then LR  might see all of the files on the cards.    The lats time, LR  saw the files,  I clocked "import" and LR make the smart previews BUT when started to make the regular previews I watched the previews turn black right before my eyes. Now I Have no files--they are all black. I quit LR and looked at the files in Finder--all of the files are black there too. What has hapened and what can I do to get my files back. I put the card back into the camera--and the files are not tiny and it says "unidentified files" on teh camera LCD screen.
    . What can I do? I'

Card reader—never thought of that. I tried a new card reader and test shots on other cards with both cameras. All seems to be working fine now. I even put in the old corrupted card and the same corrupted images are still black but the good ones are still good.  Thanks again for your help. I have a big job coming up and I was quite worried.

  • Photoshop Open dialog does not show all files

I've been noticing that unconsitantly the Photoshop Open dialog does not show all PSD files in a folder, some are just plain missing. In Finder they show up like normal though. Anyone else with this problem?

The open and save dialogs are provided and mostly run by the OS, not the application.
It sounds like you might have a filter set on your open dialog (like the search option).

  • Time Machine does not save all file to a second target

    Hi all folks,
today I use a Time Capsule and a FW Disk to store my data to two Backups volumes.
Now I see, sometimes the FW Backup does not contain all data. Especially my iTunes data was not stored completely to the second Backup Volume. Some other data is not store completely too, maybe.
In general, a backup is taken every hour to the Time Capsule and one/two times a week I switch to the FW Disk to store an additional backup to this media too. I switch the target via the Time Machine Settings.
    Any Idea what's going wrong,

You can use an external drive. Connect the disk to your PowerBook, copy the pictures and move them to your MacBook Pro
