Building example project, said windows.h missing

I amusing the example from
http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/5189
But when building it, it said 2 files missing as attached, 'windows.h' and 'commctrl.lib'.
I searched and found their path on disk as below.
\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 8.5\PDA\Utilities\VC\SmartDevices\SDK\PocketPC2003\Include\windows.h
\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 8.5\PDA\Utilities\VC\SmartDevices\SDK\PocketPC2003\Lib\armv4\commctrl.lib

Hi Turbot,
You should be able to do this if you save the file from the web link to your computer.  Then add the VI to a PDA project for an emulator (I used a Windows Mobile 5.0 Emulator).  You then just need to make a build specification by right clicking on Build Specifications and selecting New Application.  Make the Event Structure Demo.vi a top level VI and then build and deploy.  I have attached a few screen shots that will help you.  This first is my project, the second is the build specification showing the VI added as a top level VI.  The last is the emulator running the vi.  I hope this helps.

    then maintenance release 8.0.1 and mass compiled
    Current Status, all pda projects use the new EMulators, however, fail to build because of missing .. .h files / C files..
    i tried to re-apply the lv 8.0.1f and then re-mass compile ..following the guidelines.. however, no difference

    Hello Maged,
    First of all I would just like to mention that the Windows 2003 Server OS is oficially not supported by LabVIEW. You can look at the release notes for LabVIEW at this location.
    The issue that you are facing is actually Microsoft related. Kindly look at this knowledgebase from Microsoft for more information. Although this KB refers to XP, but it might hold applicable to your case also.

  • Is it possible to build a project with Labview 2010 on a Windows XP system, that is useful for a system with windows 7 on it?

    Hi there,
    I am planning to use Labview 2010 in a short time.
    But before I'm going to use it I have some questions.
    I know it is possible to run Labview 2010 in an XP environment. But is it also possible to, when running Labview 2010 on a XP system, to build a project to a version that is useful in a Windows 7 environment?
    Or do I have to run Labview 2010, when I want to build a project that is useful on a Windows 7 system, on a system with Windows 7?
    Please give me some information.
    I hope to hear from one of you soon.
    Regards,

  • Where can I download example projects for Kinect for Windows v2?

    so for a project I am working on regarding the Kinect v2 I had initially planned on using Matlab to code for the Kinect. However, the code on the Mathworks website regarding the Kinect seems to only work with the Kinect v1 and I cannot figure out how to
    get the v2 to work with Matlab. Now I am in the predicament that I need to use Visual Studio and have never done so before. To make matters worse, all of the guides I can find about programming for the Kinect assume you are very familiar with Visual Studio
    so I get lost before I can even get through the setup (I have no idea what kind of project is best for Kinect, though I intend to use C# as my programming language, or where these settings they are changing are located). If I could just find an example project
    file to download I feel like it would help me a lot, but I cannot seem to find one.
    So my question is thus, is there a place where we can download project files for Visual Studio? I really just need to see what one looks like and what kind of settings it runs on so I know where to get started. It would be awesome if the project file involved
    overlaying the skeletal model on top of people in real time as well.
    If this is not possible, even a video that explains in depth how to go about using visual studio and the Kinect at the same time would be greatly appreciate, or a workaround to get Matlab to work with the Kinect v2.

    Hi Jicnon,
    When you download and install the Kinect SDK, it comes with the Kinect SDK Browser application. This applicaiton is a web based application that contains a bunch of sample projects for getting started with Kinect for windows programming.
    There is also the jumpstart videos here:
    https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/8428671a-781c-4850-a56d-905ab28f8f8f/mva-jump-start-programming-kinect-for-windows-v2-videos?forum=kinectv2sdk
    To get to the SDK Browswer app just hit the windows button type in "Kinect SDK" and this application should appear.
    There are also some samples in Kinect Common Bridge and a dicussion on using Matlab here:

  • [JDeveloper/BPEL] "repository.jar" is missing when building the project

    Hi,
    First of all let me say that I'm new to JDeveloper and BPEL. I followed the "CreditFlow" tutorial and everything was OK. I could deploy and run it. Then I wanted to create my own webservice and try to create a simple HelloWorld BPEL workflow. My problem now is that I get a "Error: C:\oracle\JDeveloper\jlib\repository.jar (The system cannot find the file specified)" error when I build my project.
    I had the same error message for the following jars:
    -jaxb-libs.jar
    -jaxb-impl.jar
    -jaxb-api.jar
    I just copied them from "<jdeveloper_inst_dir>\adfp\lib" to "<jdeveloper_inst_dir>\webservices\lib" to get rid of thoses error messages.
    But this "repository.jar" simply doesn't exist on my filesystem...
    I think it's pretty strange...
    BTW I use JDeveloper version 10.1.3.3.0.
    Thanks for any help!
    Nicolas

    Hi,
    I am getting the same error. Any help is greatly appreciated.
    May be if you have repossotory.jar in your lib folder by any chance please send it to [email protected]
    Thanks

  • Error while building examples Java EE

    Hi
    When trying to build an example project (included with the Java EE tutorial http://java.sun.com/javaee/5/docs/tutorial/doc/) with the use of Netbeans I get the following error with e.g. the coffee example
    error: http://127.0.0.1:8080/jaxws-coffee-supplier/SupplierService/__container$publishing$subctx/WEB-INF/wsdl/SupplierService_schema1.xsd
    unknown location
    I carefully followed the instructions as mentioned in the tutorial; What am I doing wrong? Do I need to save the examples folder in a specific place on my hard disk?
    Thanks in advance!

  • Which files  should include in path when building J2EE project?

    Hi,
    I'm new to J2EE. Trying some examples on Servlet. But I've the error messages stating that it can't locate the javax.servlet.* classes like the ones below:
    <code>
    import javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet;
    import java.io.IOException;
    import javax.servlet.ServletException;
    import javax.servlet.http.HttpServletRequest;
    import javax.servlet.http.HttpServletResponse;
    </code>
    Could anybody pls tell me which file (of J2EE SDK) I should include in my path when building J2EE projects?
    thanks,

    You need to have $J2EE_HOME/lib/j2ee.jar in your CLASSPATH when compiling your servlet

  • No editor view in 3.1.2 Project Find window

    Previously, when I selected an instance in the Project Find window the lower pane would show an editor window that displayed the found item's file. Now I just get a "No Editor" window.
    Is there a new setting that I'm missing?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    Thanks for your help.
    The code worked well.
    Then I am showing my report as "Link - Within the dashboard" as a option in display result of report property.
    So there is Return link and refresh link shown in my No Result view. If I use your code it removes both the link. But I need only the Refresh link to be removed. So I just added a code with your code to have the return link without the refresh link.
    <!--
    <style>

  • Hosted Build Controller does not build test project when using GitContinuousDeploymentTemplate.12.xaml

    So basically my unittest project using mspec is not even built and copied to the outputfolder even though I build the sln file. This happens only if I put in a azure deployment environment in the build. It works with exactly the same parameters if I just
    remove the azure deployment parameter in the same template. I really don't get why it's impossible to run unit tests and fail the build before deploying to staging. Is it supposed to be like this?

    Hi Espen,
    I would like to know what you mean when you say "put in a Azure deployment environment in the build", and whether you have run a post script during the build process. Please give out more details about your scenario, or share you build log here. You can
    check whether it's build fine locally by using MSBuild or build directly with Visual Studio.
    Maybe you can check whether the Azure environment has the right version of mspec test adapter. Or use Nuget package restore feature to include the needed files in your solution before building. If the build related to hosted build controller, you can configure
    an on-premise build controller for VSO. See this
    thread for more information.

    By Azure deployment variable I mean "Windows Azure Deployment Environment" variable which you can configure under the Process tab after rightclicking the build definition and clicked "Edit build definition" in Visual Studio.
    I actually figured out what was wrong though. When "Windows Azure Deployment Environment" is set, the build target is set to <your_azure_project>:Publish. This target probably only builds the projects useful for that particular project, hence the unittest
    project is not built. I fixed the issue by adding a msbuild argument under 2.Build->5.Advanced->MSBuild arguments. I had to set it to "/t <your_azure_project>:Publish;Build" and all worked well. Notice the order of the targets though. If I used
    Build first, the whole build failed with some error trying to some virtual web folder. Also, <your_azure_project> is not entirely correct. At least for me it's named like My.Azure.Project, but the build target is My_Azure_Project.
    I don't really know if it's supposed to be this way, but it looks to me like a small bug in the template at least.

  • Preview Blu-Ray Pop-Up Menus in Project Preview Window

    Hi-
    I'm trying to test how my blu-ray pop-up menu looks and functions in the project window, but I can't seem to find a way to get my pop-up menu to appear (other than in the project menu frame) . On most set-top blue-ray players, there's a button labeled "Pop-Up Menu" or "Title Menu", but I don't see one in the Project Preview Window when previewing. Is there a way to test this before actually burning a blu-ray? Maybe I'm missing something obvious. I hope so. I'm not sure if it's related, but I can't seem to get the "Title Button" on the disc Properties panel to change to anything other than "Stop", either. (Using Encore CS5)

    Currently, Encore does not support popup menu preview.
    But, as workaround you can see the popup menu over the video for a particular frame.
    Steps -
    1. Link a popup menu with a timeline
    2. Select the popup menu in project panel
    3. Go to Popup menu tab in property panel
    4. Select the timeline from background timeline drop down
    5. enter the timecode(frame) for the timeline.
    You can see the popu menu over a video for a particular frame.
    Thanks,
    Pankaj Gauba

  • "Stream not Initialized" message when trying to build Encore project.

    I have been using Adobe Encore CS6 for a while now, using three video camera models.
    9 times out of 10 I have no problems making my DVDs, yet every so often, the video clips will have audio and video of different lengths.
    Whenever this happens, if I try to build the project, I get an error message pop up stating "Stream not initialized".
    I can adjust the clips so that the audio and video are the same length, thus eliminating the tiny, often two frame gap in the timeline, but this only fixes the problem some times.
    Today it isn't fixing the problem at all.
    I've tried transcoding the clips, even though they are in DVD format directly from the camera, yet still get the same error message.
    Any help with this issue would be a god send as it is starting to drive me potty!
    Thanks.

    Giorgio,
    Thanks for the taking the time to respond. Nothing suggested works.
    You suggested: build an image of your author or build the DVD in your HD?
    I tried both and still get "Program Quits" window, with Encore shutting down without any error message.
    You suggested:  disk problem.
    I tried different Sony, and then Verbatim disks. Same problem.
    Additional Project Info:
    Time Line: 1:18:07
    Preferences: Playback Quality: Automatic.
    Disc Info: free space thermometer: Blue all the way across.
    4.7 GB Used.  3.309 MB free.
    Same problem also exists with Premier Pro CS4. PPr will just quit for no reason that is detectable/No error message. I do frequent saves so have not lost anything in PPr, just have to restart program. The problem with PPr is not consistant, whereas with Encore it happens every time when attempting to "Build". I suspect fault is within Encore/PPr  and Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit and latest updates from Microsoft. Both programs ran without problems before. By the way. I tried to update PPr & Encore, and I could not, as I have latest versions.
    By the way....You are writing from Italy? Where? My grandparents came to New York from Italy around 1907.
    Thanks for your effort,

  • Cannot build multifile project

    Hello All,
    I am new to Java, and a bit lost. I've done a couple of single file programs on JBuilder, and those worked OK. Now I have a larger school project with numerous classes in numerous files. I have all the files in the same folder (the project folder). When I try to build the project, the references to classes in other files are not recognized. I am running on Windows XP, and have added the paths to the bin folders in jdk1.5 and jre1.5 in the "Path" variable of environment variables. I have also added ".;" on someone's recommendation. However, I still cannot build this project, even though I know it is a working one (tested on another system.) Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

    Java files can be structured in packages.
    If you find as first occurrence:
    package org.mywork.gui;then you should place the file in a subdirectory org/mywork/gui (3 directories) of your sources.
    Compile from the top (the directory in which org is placed.
    The package statement is optional, but it is good style and very convenient to use packages.
    I am a bit late with this answer, so you'll probably found out already.

  • Helps to build my project gp

    Hi all:
    I'm trying to build my project, but it throws the following error:
    The project was not built since its classpath is incomplete. Cannot find the class file for com.sap.tc.webdynpro.progmodel.api.IWDController. Fix the classpath then try rebuilding this project.
    and also this other error:
    This compilation unit indirectly references the missing type com.sap.tc.webdynpro.progmodel.api.IWDController (typically some required class file is referencing a type outside the classpath)
    These errors will not let me build my project

    Hi,
    Right click on the project,  Repair-> Project Structure and Classpath.
    Before that see if there are any jar files marked with warning in Jav Build Path-> Libraries. If yes, remove those jar files and then repair classpath.
