Building IdcCommand command file to archive from UCM

Hi,
I'm trying to build a command file to be run by the IdcCommand utility to archive files that have expired. Is it possible to set the export query in the command file? I know how to export the archive once the archive has been built, but I'm stuck on constructing the archive from the command line.
Any help would be appreciated,
Thanks!

What's the benefit of creating the archive each time the command is run? wouldn't that create an excess of archives?
Could you create one archive via the archiver applet and trigger the export via idccommand? Each export would be stored as separate batches within the archive, if configured to do so.
Thanks,
-ryan

  • Show file size coming from UCM

    I need to show the size of a file that comes from Oracle UCM and the file size should be shown in Kilobytes, the file size is in bytes so I've divided in 1024 for the number in kilobytes
    I have the following source code and the continuous result being shown in bytes.
    Please if you can give me your comments.
    thank you very much
    <c:set var="nodeArchivo" value="#{cmfn:getNodeById(cptutils.repository[node.propertyMap['BCCH_PUBLICACION_RD:ARCHIVO'].value.stringValue])}"/>
    <c:set var="fileKB" value="#{nodeArchivo.propertyMap['VaultFileSize'].value}" />
                <fmt:parseNumber var="fileKBTransf" type="number" value="${fileKB}" />
                <fmt:parseNumber var="fileKBTransf" integerOnly="true" type="number" value="${fileKB/1024}" />
      <af:outputText id="archDown" styleClass="pesoArchivo" value="#{fileKBTransf}"/>

    Hi.
    You are mixing '$' and '#' expressions that are evaluated in different phases of the lifecycle.
    #{fileKBTransf} is evaluates before of the ${fileKB/1024}
    Take care when mixing JSTL and ADF and $ and # expressions .
    Anyway try to do it directly:
    <af:outputText id="archDown" styleClass="pesoArchivo" value="#{cmfn:getNodeById(cptutils.repository[node.propertyMap['BCCH_PUBLICACION_RD:ARCHIVO'].value.stringValue]) div 1024}"/>
    or
    <af:outputText id="archDown" styleClass="pesoArchivo" value="#{cmfn:getNodeById(cptutils.repository[node.propertyMap['BCCH_PUBLICACION_RD:ARCHIVO'].value.stringValue]) / 1024}"/>

  • Runtime.exec() ... executing a java jar from within an NT command file

    Hello,
    I spent the better part of yesterday seeking insight to this with little success. So I hope someone here can direct me in a productive direction.
    I set-up my runtime.exec in a manner similar to the article on javaworld.com which is often referred to here, with two threads to empty the output and error streams of the NT command file I am executing.
    The command file works perfectly from the command line.
    I am currently attempting to build a gui which will automate regression testing for another application. This requires third party software to be running prior to the execution of the test suite. This third party software is started using an NT command file. The command file sets up an environment (classpath, server flags, etc.) and then executes a jar file. When this command file is run from my Gui, the output is identical to the command being run from the command line. Then when the jar file is to be executed, the command file output shows a "file not found" error, but only when executed from my Gui.
    My call to runtime exec looks like this.
    cmdString = new String("commandtoexecute");
    fileLoc = new String("Fully qualified path to command file");
    String [] envp = new String[0];
    testProcess = Runtime.getRuntime().exec(cmdString, envp, fileLoc);
    // some code to process the output streams of testProcess
    Other Info:
    Gui currently executed within Eclipse IDE
    BEA WebLogic is the third party software

    First, my app has the requirement of allowing the user to start WebLogic if it is not already running.Unfortunately, I can't change the requirement.
    But I would say that in a production environment WebLogic should always be running.
    I guess it's an assumption that I'd make a priori. You're jumping through too many hoops to accomplish something that is better solved with a phone call to the server admin: "Please start the WebLogic service."
    .... Side question ... any recommendations on detecting if it is already running? grin
    Yes, call the server admin and ask why you can't have 99.999% availability of a critical resource.
    Second, development is on a hardened system (i.e. very
    long time getting approval for additional software on
    the system).Cactus and JUnit are both open source. No fees involved. If you can install a JAR, you can use these tools.
    Better yet, you can drive them automatically as part of your Ant build process. A GUI implies a person in front of it to start and monitor the tests. JUnit and Ant are all about automating these things so they're run every time you rebuild and redeploy the code. You get XML reports on test results that are displayable in a browser. You can even e-mail the test summary to all developers so they can see if a test broke the build. If a test breaks, you don't deploy. That's the way to go, IMO.
    When you have a working Ant build.xml, the next step is to automate the build completely using a tool like ThoughtWorks' CruiseControl.
    Thank you for you suggestions though. I will read up on Cactus to see if it could help me here.You're welcome. Good luck. Sorry that I'm not more help.

  • How to run JDev's generated build.xml file(BPEL project) from command win.?

    hi all
    When I execute build.xml file of simple BPEL project from JDev it runs properly. But when I try to execute it from normal command window It gives me an following error.
    ...........droping jar file xyz.jar from path as i doesn't exists.
    While all jar files are exist there.But Ant drops it from Classpath variable.

  • APIs for accessing the ESS log and output files from UCM

    Hi,
    As I understand, the output and log files of an ESS job will be uploaded to UCM.
    We have a requirement where in we are building a simple error handling framework, which gets triggered after a series of ESS jobs are run. In the error handling framework based on some processing logic we need to e-mail the error or log files to the users. I am not able to find any information related to retrieving the log and output files for and ESS job from UCM. Any inputs on this will be appreciated.
    Thanks for your help,
    Thiru

    For accessing content in UCM you can use the RIDC APIs or UCM Web Services. Note that the UCM also provides features for workflow etc. that could potentially be used for notifications refer to the developer guide for details. For UCM related questions you may want to use this forum instead

  • When I select files to archive, they move from my file folder, but then I go to the archive folder and it says Empty? Where are those files?

    When I select files to archive, they move from my file folder, but then I go to the archive folder and it says Empty? Where are those files?

    Your account names are probably different on the two Macs. If you know the UNIX command line, open a terminal window and run:
    $ id
    You should see a line that starts with something like this:
    uid=501(your_user_id_here)
    now check the owner of the folder you copied over:
    $ ls -ld Music
    drwx------+ 8 some_user_id_here  staff  272 May 14 16:08 Music
    Do the IDs match? If not, you could change the ownership. Say your id is "johnsmith"
    $ chown -R johnsmith Music
    Now try and access it with iTunes.

  • Accessing a file in Imported Archive from Adapter module

    Hi,
    I am designing a module for File/FTP and Mail adapters. Is it possible to retrieve data from a CSV or TXT file uploaded in the Imported Archive from the Java code in the module? If this is possible, do I use the same approach as accessing the CSV data from the mapping using a UDF? If this is not possible, can you suggest other ways were I can access a CSV or TXT configuration file from an adapter module?
    I would like to avoid using Module key, Parameter name and Parameter value as I would like to make the adapter module generic and the data I will be reading might be too much to be specified in this location. However, I would use the Module key, Parameter name and Parameter value to specify the CSV or TXT filename which the adapter module will be using.
    Thanks in advance for any help that you can provide.
    Regards,
    Elbert

    Imported archives are part of mapping flow and adapter modules are more part of routing. Therefore I don't think imported archive could  be made accessible anywhere outside mapping.
    but my CSV or TXT file would be updated regularly by the developer.
    So were you planning to import this file again and again under imported archive? This doesn't seems to be a good solution when you think about changin Design part in Production environment. It would be better to give access to certain folder to developer to put the file there and access it using some code. You may refer this

  • New Issues with Flash builder - Second time you do search from imported Tutorial file it breaks with AS error

    Okay, so I had an issue with the Design View that was broke because of the <s:text> tag inside of the <s:RichText> tag. Adobe fiexed that in one of the next released builds (discussion here in fourms). So I took the tutorial file (again) and started to work on it and all went okay, except that the 'tracking' method on the ricktext tag was taken out. Forums mentioned that. So on import of the 'tutorial' fxp from FC to Flex builder, you get several errors because FC still builds the fxp file with 'tracking' property being used in the RichText tag. No biggie, i just remapped to trackingLeft property in the effected files. Now mind you in  the older build that I had this project, worked fine, with the exception of the 'design view' issue with the <s:text> file borking the design view. Bug on it said it was fixed with the next build. which it was but this now when you take the EXACT same code and compile and run it the seach will break each and everytime. Think it has or may have something to do with Adobe taking out the 'tracking' property on the richtext tag.
    anyone else having this issue?
    attaching the fxp file
    btw, posted as a bug FB-21116

    I can recreate the problem but I haven't seen it reported

    There is information in Snippet 1 on my site about TOC

  • DISM Command to retrieve updates from software distribution and apply to wim file

    I'm following
    this guide about slipstreaming updates into a wim file. What im attempting to is what the author outlines in step 2, namely pulling updates from the software distribution folder on a pc that has had the image applied to it and then patched to current. The
    trouble I'm running into is around the command. namely this section DISM
    /image:C:\Mount
    /add-package /packagepath:”%U” Running this command produces a invalid path message. What should be happening is the previous commands
    are telling it to pull in any files name .cab from all of the directories, but this doesn't seem to be working. I can't define this as a static path as there are tons of sub-folders in this directory with the cab files. Am I just doing something wrong? how
    can I accomplish this?

    I'm still having trouble with this. For some reason, it is stripping the % sign. So I am seeing this when I run my batch file:
    /add-package /packagepath:"u"
    or
    /add-package /packagepath:"f"
    Any ideas?

    You could just save the read data straight to a text file.  That would be the simplest way.

  • Command to Run Script from File

    Hi,
    I have 20 .sql Files, each one has CREATE script for stored peocedures. I want to run the script for each SP of the file in the database. Instead of copy and paste from each file, is there any command to execute script from each file.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
    You can place that sql script either in drives.
    IF suppose you placed your scripts file in D:\,
    connect to database thru sqlplus and run like this
    SQL>@"D:\sqlstatement.sql"

  • Build a war file from cf 8 standard

    hi all,
    i need to deploy cf 8 standard edition by tomcat. i've built
    a war-file from the developer edition, but because of the
    limitations of the dev edition, i need to upgrade this to a
    standard edition. unfortunately it seems not to be possible to
    enter the license key in the adminstrator (don't ask me why, adobes
    support had not anwered yet) , so i need to build a war file. is it
    possible to make a war from a usual cf standard installation? as
    far as i've seen i need to pack wwwroot into a war.
    thanx!

    I believe you're going to need the Enterprise edition to do
    what you want to do, and still have any glimmer of a shine of hope
    of support.

  • RH10 variable and build tag source file names

    I'm using RH10 and outputting to WebHelp. My company requires that I archive project source files to our CVS via Eclipse. I am not using RoboSource_Control and must use the company's development resources for archiving.
    Since archiving the initial project, I have been uploading only source files with modified dates.
    However, I have discovered that the files I thought were storing user variables and build tags are not the correct files to archive. Since I am uploading all files with a newer date and that's not working, I need to know the user variable source file name and the build tag source file name that stores the currently defined variables and build tags.
    I have already tried the WebHelp forum and was directed to this forum to pose the question because I'm looking for source file information instead of output file information.
    Thanks for your help!
    karen

    Yes, Eclipse does work that way. However, we do not use our development directory as the local Eclipse repository. I need to move changed files to the local repository (stores all source files in the project) so that Eclipse can upload changes to the server. Yes, this is planned redundancy.
    That said, it is not acceptable to spend the time copying all files in the large projects from the work folder to the local repository. I simply need to know which individual files to copy that include the currently defined variables and build tags. Note, we do not copy the SSL folder output files to our local source file repository, or other associated reference files that are not actually project source files.
    Can you find someone who knows which files I need?
    Thanks,
    karen

  • Files in Archive folder having limited access rights

    hi forum,
    i am using a File->XI scenario, where file is picked from a folder say XP1, and archived (as per configuration in the sender channel) to another folder say Archive, and subsequently sent to Integration server,
    the case is, the files in the Archive folder has the owner XP1ADM with access rights rw_ _ _ _ _ _ _,
    as a result, i cannot view the files in the Archive folder, as i m using a a user-id which is different from XP1ADM,  -
    (i am required to view these files - mandatory requirement)
    for information, the UMASK of XP1ADM is 022 (found by typing the command UMASK in it shell),
    hence, according to me, the files should have access rights 644 (since UMASK is 022), but the files are having access rights 600,
    can you please tell me why it is so,
    please help

    Gaurav, thanks fro the reply,
    i guess even if i keep the user in XPIADM's group, it wont do any good.....as access rights for group in 600 is 0,
      correct me if i m worng....
    anyways i didnt understand your reply---->
    <<Your administrator has to set the permissions group for the ID you use for this folder similar to XP1ADM.>>

  • TAPS will not load on UCCX 7.0.1SR4 from UCM 7.1.3

    Anyone one have TAPS running on the UCCX 7.0.1sr4/UCM 7.1..3 ?
    I have downloaded the plugin from UCM and installed on UCCX. I have loaded the TAPS AAR.AAR with AAR Manager. The TAPS Application is listed but if you open the Application get an error "Error occured while loading The SCRIPT[TAPS.aef]. Check log for details.
    Mike

    I am experiencing the exact same presentation with CUCM 7.1.3 and UCCX 7.0.1 Build 168.
    I have followed the steps in the previous post exactly, but still get the error message about the script when I open the TAPS application.
    I've looked over the script, but I don't really understand the Java and/or database references.  I'm used to writing scripts to control call routing - I wouldn't recognize a bad reference here if it bit me.  I tried poking around in the application logs to see if I could find a more detailed reference as to why the UCCX application doesn't like the script file.  Again, I was in way over my head just trying to find the log file that might give me the clue.
    Does anyone have an updated TAPS.aef script that works?  Should I maybe just hang a trigger on the application to see if it works regardless of the reported error?  I can't imagine that no one is using or has used TAPS with this product combination.
    EDIT:  Okay, so I made a rookie mistake.  After opening the script in the CCX Editor, validating it, then saving it, all worked as advertised.  Of course, looks like no one was watching this thread anyway...
