Hello @nazafa,
Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the HP Forums I would like to direct your attention to the HP Forums Guide First Time Here? Learn How to Post and More.
I understand that your notebook's webcam shows that there is no camera hardware found in the device manager, and I would be happy to assist you in this matter!
To enable your system to recognize the webcam, I recommend following the steps below to scan for hardware changes:
1. Click the Windows Key on your keyboard
2. Type "compmgmt.msc"
3. Select compmgmt.msc
4. Select the Device Mananger in the left-hand column
5. right-click your computer name and select Scan for hardware changes
reference: https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20131227190644AAvYPrI
If you are still not able to find the webcam in the Device Manager after performing the scan above, I also suggest returning your system back to a previous restore point before you uninstalled the driver. This can be done by following this document on Using Microsoft System Restore (Windows Vista).
Should the webcam remain hidden in the device manager, I recommend performing a backup and recovery of your operating system. This can be done by following this resource on Backing Up Your Files (Windows Vista), as well as Performing an HP system recovery (Windows Vista). This should help return your system back to factory defaults.

  • Newly installed built in webserver/admin inaccessible after reboot

I use the developer version of CF MX7 with the built in
webserver to run some small utility apps for personal use on my
WindowsXP box. And everytime I do a reinstall of windows, I have
this same issue, and somehow, everytime I forget how to fix it in
the intervening year. Usually I eventually figure it out, but this
time I can't seem to hit on it, and was hoping someone could point
    me in the right direction.
I run the installation, no problem, get into the admin and
configure things, no problem. But the next time I reboot, I can't
load the admin or any of my applications. I get a 404 whenever I
try to load anything starting with
    http://127.0.0.1:8500, even
though they all worked right after install, but prior to the
reboot. Neither http:\\localhost or http:\\servername will work.
    Interestingly, just plain
    http://127.0.0.1:8500 gives me a
directory list of C:\CFusionMX7\wwwroot, but actually drilling down
to the admin index file will result in another 404 when I click on
    any .cfm file.
The Services manager shows the three CF items have started. I
feel like there's something very obvious I'm missing here, and
would really appreciate it if someone would point it out so that I
can have my little "d'oh" moment, then write it down and save it
for next time! I feel kind of ridiculous given that I've been
installing CF locally since NT and it was only last summer that I
last managed to get this working last...

    Hello,
Build 10.00.1600 is SQL Server 2008 RTM, not SQL Server 2008 R2 RTM (10.50.1600). You need to upgrade reporting services to SQL Server 2008 R2 first then apply
    SQL 2008 R2 SP2.

Applied 7CCN35WW over the 34 firmware. Veriface stopped working, says there's no camera present even though camera is present in Device manager. Skype is not working either, says camera is used by another process even after a fresh restart.
    Solved!

Fixed it by going into BIOS and saving the existing config. Camera is working again.

    Hello Jorge,
    I suggest
you to re-install or Update to NI-IMAQ for IEEE 1394 Cameras Version 1.5.2 or
Later. If you are using NI-IMAQ for 1394  Cameras version 1.5.1 or
earlier, you may need to install a patch to update the NI-IMAQ for IEEE 1394
    Cameras driver to version 1.5.3.

my built in camera is not working after upgrading to a new Skype version

    See this thread:
    https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5306216?tstart=0
    FIX:
    1. You need Time Machine
    2. Go to folder /Library/CoreMediaIO/Plug-Ins/DAL/
    3. Copy AppleCamera.plugin to good place (usb memory stick is the best place).
    4. Go to Time machine in date that skype work fine.
    5. Change AppleCamera.plugin with file from Time Machine
    6. Restart system, Now skype need to work with camera.
    If that doesnt pass,
Suggest looking here, much success has been found:

  • After installing OSX Lion, the built-in camera no longer works.  Solution?

After installing OS X Lion on a late 2010 MacBookPro, the built-in camera no longer works.  Worked beautifully with Snow Leopard.  Reset SMU to no avail.  Any solutions?

Hi, Thanks for the reply, I really appreciate your help with this.
Yes to both questions: iMovie is in the Applications folder, not in any subfolders. And I have reinstalled iMove from the original disc (before and after the OS reinstall) but can only get up to 7.1.4 without buying a later edition of iLife.
The camera definitely worked under Snow Leopard but not since I upgraded from SL to Mountain Lion.
Found the following on this forum:
If you have iLife '09 or older, there have been no iPhoto 8, iMovie 8 or
Garageband 5 (or older) updates relating to Lion or Mountain Lion. The
support and compatibility situations for those versions is unknown as
Apple hasn't said anything. We can only determine compatibility
anecdotally. If it turns out that there is a problem and Apple doesn't
release an update, your only recourse is to buy the latest version of
    the application.
I reinstalled some other iLife apps as well. iDVD went missing after the ML reinstall. When I reinstalled it from the original disc, it wouldn't open and I had to download a manual update to get it working. iWeb previously stopped working after the upgrade to ML (all the menu options were greyed out) but when I reistalled it (together with iMove and iDVD) yesterday, it started working again.
All this seems to point to a compatibilty issue between iLife '08 and ML.

  • TS4552 Macbook Air Camera issues with Skype / Hangouts / Gotomeeting not recognizing built-in camera after OS X 10.8.5

    Hi,
Unfortunately the given answer in the support page http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4552s is lame and unacceptable for us as new macbook air users.
Not only Skype does not recognize the camera. Google hangouts or gotomeeting applications don´t identify the built-in camera either.
We bought this machine to be always connected to our friends, family and co-workers, and the fact of not being able to take advantage to the most common video-calling apps is just dissapointing.
As a brand new mac user, I havent had the chance to back up the previous version of my system, and my mac distributor/seller doesnt accept any return/change because hardware is running fine with FaceTime...
Skype or Google say its an Apple issue... and Apple says its Microsoft or Google. Meanwhile we are having a lame experience as brand new mac users, and Apple should pay attention of that.
We hope Apple understands it needs to be fixed right away. We wait nothing but the best from Apple, so I really look forward to listen a prompt solution of this
    Thanks!

  • Doesn't recognize built-in camera after upgrade to 10.6.6

I recently added 1 Mb of RAM to my iMac 5,2 (Intel processor) and upgraded the operating system to 10.6.6 (Snow Leopard) from 10.4.11. After these upgrades, the computer does not recognize the built-in camera for any user, in any application (iChat, Photo Booth, Facetime - all indicate there is no camera detected). Restarting didn't work. Shutting down, unplugging, and holding down the power button for five seconds also didn't work. Any suggestions for how to get the computer to search for and recognize the built-in camera?

Okay, I'm having a similar problem. I recently upgraded my MacBook Pro (2.53Ghz Core 2 Duo 4GB Ram - this is the memory it came with) to 10.6.6 and now my built in isight camera is not recognized. I don't even see an option for it in the System Preferences. If I look under "System Profiler", I see it listed under USB, but that is it. I attempted to follow the "Repair Permissions" procedures, since it was recommended here, and it says it completes successfully, unfortunately, I can run it again and it repairs the permissions on the same files and again says it completes successfully. (see the attached log) I verify the disk, and it says it is okay... still no isight camera...

  • After updating to Mountain Lion- built in camera is no longer recognized

i have updated my software from lion to mountain lion on my 2010-2011 macbook pro; as soon as the update completed my macbook no longer recognized the built-in camera. i checked the support site for the error "there is no conceted camera" and followed all the steps. it seems that i have no USB tab in the utilities folder; restarting and shutting down my macbook didnt help either. i am not sure if the necessary drives for isight somehow erased during the update. any suggestions?

    Tried resetting SMC ?

  • Built-in cam no longer works after installing snow leapord

Since I upgraded to Snow Leopard on my MBP, my built in cam is no longer recognized by the system. It's not application specific as I've tried several apps and I've looked at the System Profiler app and it's not listed in there.
I've tried several potential fixes and none have worked. I've tried the SMU thing, the PCU thing, the Permissions fix, and have updated my OS.
    What can I do?

mmh! Have you actually phoned Apple or is there an Apple store near where you live?
That would be the only thing, I could think of.
And have you tried starting the machine in safe mode at all and see if that makes a difference? If so, it must be a piece of software (have you looked at QT X, as this, with a standard install, would remove QT 7.x as this is only available as "optional" install, and will then appear under applications/utilities).

  • Lost built-in camera on Macbook Pro after Mavericks update.

I'm about a year into owning a Mac so still learning a lot about navigating the system. I recently (Feb 28, 2014) "upgraded" from Mountain Lion to Mavericks and have now lost acessibility to the built-in camera. It shows up on facetime and photobooth, but not in image capture. In Skype it works briefly before turning off and requires a computer restart to turn on but then only works briefly before turning off again. I am unable to find it in system preferences anymore so can't check settings. Is there a way to restore previous settings?
    MacBook Pro, 15in, Mid 2012
Current operating system: OS X 10.9.2
    2.3 GHz Intel Core i7

The built-in camera shouldn't work in Image Capture which is for use with a photographic camera or a scanner. As for Skype you might check if you have the most recent version. If you do, then I would contact the developers about the problem. It's clear that the camera is working with Photo Booth and FaceTime. That suggests there is no problem with Mavericks.

  • *^*^*^*Hp envy touchsmart; Built-in Camera faulty*^*^*^*

Help, didn't use built-in cam for quite a long while already (approximately 2months?) and today when I launch "camera" app it keep flashing  and its working but in a constant flashing screen and for awhile later no more than 5 seconds it shows "connect to camera" and after that "there's a problem with your camera".
So I ran troubleshooting for devices, not working. Did a uninstall to Hp TrueVision HD webcam driver and rebooted laptop but still showing the same problem.
Only difference now is that I could no longer see the constant flashing screen which able to see image *blink blink*. So then I tried out YouCam app to check whether is the app that cause this but again no images were able to be seen (it did prompt to me to use Hp TrueVision HD cam).
    This question was solved.

Thanks for the response. Please make sure that you have attempted all of the steps in this HP document: Webcam Troubleshooting (Windows 8)
If that doesn't work,  I would like you to reinstall the operating system. It will clear up any software conflicts and allow you to start fresh.
First, please ensure you backup your files. Here is information on how to do this: Backing Up Your Files (Windows 8)
Once this is done, it is safe to reinstall the operating system. Performing an HP System Recovery (Windows 8)
If the same situation occurs, the computer likely has faulty hardware. At that point, please contact HP phone support. You can utilize this website to learn how to contact HP appropriately, based on your region: Contact HP Worldwide
Please let me know your results. Thanks!

  • Macbook Air 13" Camera stops working after a few hours. Needs Restart to be functioning again. How do I fix this?

    Hello!
The camera stops working. Not detected by any program (Facetime, Skype, Hangouts, Zoom). This happens usually after a few hours of work or after the computer sleeps. To make the webcam function again I need to restart.
    Any suggestions?

Why does that seem likely to be a hardware issue? How did you come to that conclusion? Do you know something about this issue that indicates that? (I realise that this might sound short and rude - I am not trying to be rude here - just to understand) My thought is that conventional troubleshooting would say that this is a software issue because it is fixed with a restart.
I also have this problem. The camera quits working after some time - I have not been able to make it stop working. Sometimes it is after I suspend the computer (close the lid) other times it still works.
All I know is that intermittently my camera stops working and it is a big pain to have to reboot whenever I am going have a video chat.
Anyone got any solutions, I'm not covered by applecare so would rather try and fix it myself if possible?

  • Built in iSight not working after software update!

Last night, I updated front row, quicktime, and iTunes via the software updater. Now nothing is recognizing my built in camera (iChat, photo booth). It says there is no camera connected to the computer. Also, software update isn't working. Does anybody have any idea what could have happened and how to get it running again? Thanks!

Installing the combo update - as you suggested - did not solve the problem. Any other ideas? The iSight is still not being recognized by the system profiler.
Here is what I suggest you do next.
System Profiler is a pre-Lion term.  If you are really using OS X 10.7.3, you need to use the "System Information" utility.
After you launch "System Information", click the "USB" item in the "Hardware" item of the System Information window's sidebar.  (If the reveal triangles are pointing to the right like ►, click on it so it points down like this ▼ to find the USB item.)  Then look under each USB bus item in the "USB Device Tree" for your camera.
If there is no iSight or FaceTime camera listed anywhere in your "USB Device Tree", verify that you used the correct PMU/SMC "reset" procedure for your particular Mac model.  If your camera is still not recognized in System Information", yours is most likely a hardware problem that will require a professional fix.
Then contact Apple or an Apple-Authorized Service Provider for service.
Unless you have a current backup, make one before giving your Mac to the repair technician.
