Bulkload Utility in OIM

Hi all,
I am trying to upload csv data file into OIM 11.1.1.5.0 using bulkload utility oim_blkld.sh. I have followed the steps which is mentioned in the document "Developer's Guide for Oracle Identity Manager 11g Release 1 (11.1.1)"
After the run Utility(oim_blkld.sh)  recieved the error in the "oim_blkld_user_load_summary.log" as ,
     ERROR ==> The provided User ID *oimtest* , for user created from web console, does not exist
But i have created the user "oimtest" using OIM admin console before i run the Utility. I ran this Utility after i stopped the OIM server.
Please suggest me  to resolve this error and to upload the users in OIM.

Hi Suren,
We are currently using pre-populate adapters which generates userid and another adapter which generates password for a user and stores in OIM.
Later on OIM is provisioning user in OID.
But as per migration requirement, lot of users needs to be migrated to OIM and later needs to be provisioned in OID.
But these users already have userid and password as they are already existing users.
Now during bulkload we do not want these adapters to fire as already data is there.
Please suggest the solution for this.

    hii all,
    can you tell me what is the Loading Role, Role Hierarchy, Role Membership, and Role Category Data mean in bulkload.! my qustion is
    1) Is this used to create roles in oim or for assigining these roles to existing users in oim.
    2)my use case is we are migrating users and roles from oim 10g to oim 11g r2, so can i use this bulkload utility to migrate all the roles??

    Yes, you can use migrating users and roles from OIM 10g to OIM11gR2 using bulk load. For details about bulkload please find the notes from oracle.

    I checked for the jrf-api jar location in ./setEnv.sh and the path is correct.
    Please help.

    It must be some issue with your path export.
    Have you also generated wlfullclient.jar? and is it available in your path.

  • Query related to task archival utility in OIM 11gR1

    Hi All,
    I am trying to to run task archival utility & i am following below link:

    I have created separated tablespace for archival tables,
    I have successfully executed cr_taskarchival_ddl_table.sql , Create_TasksArch_Tables.sql & OIM_SP_TASKS_ARCHIVAL.sql scripts.
    Now i want to run OIM_TasksArch.sh, so this file should be executed where we have installed our OIM Database [Correct me if i am wrong]
    OIM_TasksArch.sh is present in <OIM_HOME>/server/db/oim/oracle/Utilities/TaskArchival/ ,but for some reason i am not able to find this file in our OIM Database Env.
    Can anyone please suggest from where OIM_TasksArch.sh needs to be executed ?

    It needs to be executed in a location that has the database client installed so that it can use sqlplus to connect to the database and run the scripts.  I had to manipulate the scripts a little on my end for this work because how it was putting together the connect statement did not work.

    For registering SOA composite in 11gr2 it is prompting with the following questions

    [input] Input the domain of the workflow
    [input] Input the name of the workflow
    [input] Input the version of the workflow
    [input] Input the service name of the workflow
    [input] Input the human tasks in the workflow (multiple human tasks must be separated by colon(:))
    First 3 questions are similar to 11gr1 registration utility. but from 4th question it is different . what values should be given for these? please help.

    In 11g R1, you used to create properties file for registration. Open that and give values from there.
    Example:
    Domain = default
    Version: 1.0 or 2.0 depending on the situation
    ServiceName and HumanTask name are also part of that properties file

    There are adapters written in OIM which we don't want to get triggered on Bulk Loading.

  • Oim-config.xml was not found in MDS Repository.

    Hi there,
    I'm trying to install Oracle Fusion Application (last version .5) but I can't go ahead becuase I got an error during the OIM Server installation.
    $ uname -a
    Linux server02 2.6.39-200.24.1.el6uek.x86_64 #1 SMP Sat Jun 23 02:39:07 EDT 2012 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
    $ cd /repository/fusion/fmw/iam/bin/
    $ ./config.sh &
    Select only “OIM Server” [...] everything is going fine without error. I've re-started the AdminServer and started the OIM.
    If I try to open the browser http://<server>:14000 I got an Error 404
    Take a look at the log, there is an Error on oim-config.xml
    I was trying to find something on Google but all the forum talked about the missing security files.
    I tried to install again OIM but nothing happened.
    Someone could help me please?

    In my case I don’t have this error:
    Unable to find keystore "default-keystore.jks" in <DOMAIN_HOME>/config/fmwconfig/.
    Unable to find keystore ".xldatabasekey" in <DOMAIN_HOME>/config/fmwconfig/.
    […]Maybe it’s the same root causes but I installed again the OIM without success. I can’t login to the OIM because I just back 404.
    I’m sorry but I didn’t understand what I can do.

  • OIM 10g to 11g upgrade error

    Hi experts,
    While doing upgrade from OIM 10g to OIM 11g, I am not able to upgrade OIM Middletier.
    Steps performed till now
    1. Run OSI Upgrade Utility in OIM 10g.
    2. Export OIM 10g DB Schema from Oracle database version 10.2.0.2.
    3. Run prepare_xl_db.sh and import the OIM 10g Schema to Oracle Database 11.2
    4. Run RCU to create schemas for MDS and SOA in Oracle database 11.2
    5. Install WLS 10.3.5, SOA 11.1.1.5 and IAM 11.1.1.5
    6. Upgrade OIM Schema using Upgrade Assistant Utility
    7. Create WLS Domain for OIM and SOA
    8. Configure OIM(copied .xldatabasekey to config/fmwconfig folder)
    9. Upgrade OIM Middle Tier using Upgrade Assistant Utility
    Upgrade Assistant is failing at step 9 when it is trying to initilize scheduler properties.
    In logs, it says invalid username and password but I am sure I entered correct password for all schemas.

    Password for .xldatabasekey is not seeded in CSF.
    Password for default-keystore.jks is not seeded in CSF.
    Password for SOAAdminPassword is not seeded in CSF.
    I doubt whether OIM is properly installed in your environment otherwise .xldatabasekey would have been present in <DOMAIN_HOME>/config/fmwconfig..
    Also, as far as Weblogic starting in ADMIN mode is concerned, you may try to do the following...
    ps -eaf| grep AdminServer
    Kill the process
    Then remove the lok file. i.e. Lock files...

  • Third Party Jars in OIM 11G

    Hi All,
    I am trying to invoke a web service stub to call create() functionality.
    From the stand alone program(with out integrating with OIM server), if I just run it from eclipse, I am able to create the user in target system. If I try to invoke through process task adapters, I am getting Connection Exception.
    I think there is something to do with the third party jars. I have copied all the jars to /<Oracle_Home>/Oracle_IDM1/server/ThirdParty and <WEBLOGIC_HOME>Middleware/wlserver_10.3/server/lib.
    Should I run "UploadJars.sh" utility of OIM?
    Should I update the classpath of OIM and weblogic? I heard that from 11g onwards it automatically pick up the third party jars. Isn't so?
    My OIM Server and Target System Application are in different machines. There is no SSL communication. So I think no need to exchange certificates also.
    Please help me to solve this.

    I have installed OIM 11g & was working fine but suddenly i am getting errors while starting OIM, following is the error when i start weblogic

    The path which is shown above[home/labuser/Oracle/Middleware/] is not the correct path of my OIM installation & i dont know why it is going on this wrong path.
    I also tried to delete tmp folder from <mydomain>/servers/AdminServer/ , but it didn't work.
    Same error is also thrown when i start OIM server.

    I just installed Oracle Identity Manager 11g (the latest version) on out test system. The installation worked fine. I can start the admin server as well as the soa_server. But when I start the oim_server1, the deployment of oim fails with the following error message:

    This also solved my issue. If you can backup the .xldatabasekey file before you reinstall this will allow the OIM application to read the OIM database. I was successfully able to run rm -Rf and wipe my entire Middleware directory. Then I reinstalled ALL of OIM and SOA back to the same VM. I saved the .xldatabasekey file before hand and dropped it right back to the same folder before I ran the rm -Rf command later after the OIM Domain was installed. Finally, as mentioned above, I logged into EM and found that I needed to add the .xldatabasekey "password" and simply used the same password that I entered during the OIM configure steps for the keystore. Remember the .xldatabasekey password IS NOT the xelsysadm password, but the KEYSTORE password. They are different. I am now able to log into OIM and I can see all the pre-existing users. Thanks for the help!

    Have anyone performed bulk load of more than 100,000 users using bulk load utility in OIM 11g ?
    The challenge here is we have OIM 11.1.1.5.0 environment enabled with LDAP sync.
    We are trying to figure out some performance factors and best way to achieve our requirement
    1.Have you performed any timings around use of Bulk Load tool. Any idea how long will it take to LDAP sync more than 100,000 users into OID. What are the problems that we could encounter during this flow ?
    2.Is it possible we could migrate users into another environment and then swap this database for the OIM database? Also is there any effective way to load into OID directly ?
    3.We also have some custom Scheduled Task to modify couple of user attributes (using update API) from the flat file. Have you guys tried such scenario after the bulk load ? And did you face any problem while doing so ?
