Bundling msgs using single interface( BPM )

Hi BPM experts,
     i am doing the fallowing scenario
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/08/16163ff8519a06e10000000a114084/content.htm ( payload dependent)
Let us assume we have abstract files
( FileReq_abs and FileRes_abs)
so in the container i have created two variables( rec(abstract),sen(abstract))
here what are the other categories simple,receiver and how they are useful
Please help me how configure the properties window for each step with an example.
shall we put any addition variables that uses ( simple, receiver categories)
I hope i can get good solution from you. (points for good solutions.)
Regards,
Deviprasad.

Hi,
In the collect, based on the payload, you need to define one simple variable of type int to count the no.of messages. It works based on the number of messages.
also to find out the properties for each step , you can look into BPMPattern available in the SAP BASIS Software component in the integration repository.
It is in detail over there.
Thanks,
Krishna

  • More than 1 VPN using single interface

    I have to implement a VPN with four routers every router has different configurations but the Primary router has only one interface connected to internet. When ever I try to implement more than one VPN on the same interface it gives me an error that u have a VPN running on this interface and it can be effected ,ignoring this error will cost me VPN down from previous site.

    You need to use the same crypto map, with different priority values (10 for first site-to-site, 20 for the second), as only one crypto map can be applied on a given interface.
    Please rate if this helped.

  • ODI Multi Target tables insert using single interface

    Hi
    I am facing an issue in ODI with multiple target tables insert.
    I have a source table in Sybase ASE and want to insert the data in two different target tables which are in Sybase IQ.
    Any suggestion would be appreciated !
    Thanks in advance.

    Have you tried using  IKM Oracle Multi Table Insert?

  • How to use two lookup in single interface in ODI 11g

    Hi All,
    I am trying to load GL_CODE_COMBINATIONS CC + FND_FLEX_VALUES_VL FF to target table W_GL_CODE_COMBINATIONS.
    I duplicated FND_FLEX_VALUES_VL as FND_FLEX_VALUES_VL1 FF1 for my join condition.
    In target table I have included 2 new columns named SEGMENT2_DESC and SEGMENT3_DESC.
    In my interface i am using FND_FLEX_VALUES_VL as lookup and join condition is CC.SEGMENT2=FF.FLEX_VALUE
    Mapping expression of target column SEGMENT2_DESC is FF.DESCRIPTION.
    In my interface i am using FND_FLEX_VALUES_VL1 as lookup and join condition is CC.SEGMENT3=FF1.FLEX_VALUE
    Mapping expression of target column SEGMENT3_DESC is FF1.DESCRIPTION.
    Execution of this interface taking more time. When using single lookup and SEGMENT2_DESC data loading is fast.
    Kindly advice me regarding this.
    Thanks in advance.

    Are the number of records in lookup very large ?
    Why cant you use the same lookup once and have the join containing both the conditions.
    YOu dont have to use lookup at all. YOu can also drag the "so called" lookup table in the source and build the join conditions yourself.
    The join condition would be
    CC.SEGMENT2=FF.FLEX_VALUE and CC.SEGMENT3=FF.FLEX_VALUE

  • Any possiblity to use single Inbound Service Interface with multiple Receiver Agreements

    Hi All,
    Scenario: PROXY to FILE.
    Requirement is to receive to two locations.
    Is it possible to use single Inbound interface with multiple Receiver Agreements. I tried using two operation in the Inbound Service Interface, and Operation Specific in Determination. But couldnt proceed further. Do I need to use seperate Service Interface for two receiver locations?
    Please suggest some solution.

    Hi Naveen,
    There is a possibility but in the case in the same server location with dynamic configuration: Placing file in two different directories using single receiver communication Channel
    With different location you would need to develop a new adapter module as Amit Srivastava explains and develops here Send File to Two Different Locations using Adapter Module

  • Idoc multi mappings in a single interface

    Hello Folks
    I have to send three different types of Idocs (MATMAS, CLFMAS, BOMMAT) from R/3 to XI.
    The sender application sends only one file and I need to map the data relevant to each of these Idocs and post in R/3 separately in a defined sequence. Customer wants me to incorporate all of these idocs in a single interface. How can I achieve this?
    If I want to create the interfaces separately in XI for each Idocs, then how can I use the same inbound file to XI for all of the Idoc interfaces?
    Which is the best way to achieve this type of scenario? I would like to know the solution without BPM preferably.
    Thanks
    Ricky

    Hi Raj
    This is the scenario again
    Send a single File from a sender application.
    Receive the file in BPM.
    Create three message mappings/interface mappings for MATMAS, CLFMAS and BOMMAT in XI repository separately for each.
    The file has the data for these three idocs. I wil keep the file message type  as the same source for these three interfaces in the mapping and change the target message type accordingly.
    Create a interface determination with three interface mappings involved.
    Create a receiver determination
    Create a receiver R/3 at the end to receive the messages.
    For all these three idoc interfaces, I am going to use a single receiver agreement and sender agreement
    In this BPM, the ALEAUD message should also be incorporated. When the MATMAS is send across to R/3, I need to receive the ALEAUD from R/3 and find the status of this. If it is success, then send the CLFMAS to R3 or else, roll back the MATMAS idoc sent and end the process. If CLFMAS is also success, then send the BOMMAT idoc or else, roll back the BOMMAT idoc and end the process. If BOMMAT is also success, then end the process.
    In R/3, I have to run the report RBDSER04 to generate and post the idocs based on serialization group. Here I am not sure about how to use the roll back of Idocs sent to R3 in BPM since the idoc is only generated and posted together when this report is executed. SO what do we do to roll back the message sent from XI to R/3?
    Thanks
    Ricky

  • How to use multiple Interfaces for the same BS?

    Hi @ ,
    Is it possible to have a scenarion where i am using multiple interfaces in the same BS based upon some conditional field in the message.
    I amnot able to get the solution I know with condition editor I can have multiple receivers but in my scenarion based upon message fiels i have to decide which BAPI to be used and wht mapping and then post it to the same System

    Hi-
    Yes it is possible you can use multimapping for mapping the interfaces.
    To know more about multimapping see

  • Using local interfaces for EJB (session bean)

    Hi,
    Ive a question regarding when to use the Local interfaces(EJBLocal and EJBLocalHome) of a enterprise bean. I understand that calls to enterprise bean can be made locally if the client which is invoking is in the same JVM as that of EJB. Ive written a web client (servlet) which is packaged in a EAR and this servlet is trying to invoke a session bean which is in a different EAR using local interfaces. Both the EARs have been deployed in a single server (websphere 6.0 server). It didnt work for me this way..If I package the servlet in the same EAR of session bean then it works fine.
    So is this to say that both EARs are not running on the same JVM? Or should it work even if the client and the session bean are in different EARs but in same server?
    Can anyone explain me the fundamentals behind this.
    Thanks in advance

    Local access is only portable within the same .ear. For example, the Java EE SDK and SUN's
    application servers have never supported local EJB access from a web/EJB component in a different
    .ear. One issue is that local access requires that both the caller and target EJB have the same
    classloader. By definition, different Java EE applications have distinct classloaders. In addition,
    in Java EE 5 persistence context propagation does not span applications, so it wouldn't work in the
    local case.

  • How java support multiple inheritance by the use of interface.

    As per my understanding, Interface is just having the signatures of the methods not the implementation.
    So How java support multiple inheritance by the use of interface?
    Answer 1: we can institate interface reference by its implemented
    class.
               interface inf...
               class aa implements inf..
               class bb implements inf....
               Now, inf i = new aa();
               inf i = new bb();
    Answer 2: We can extends as many interface as we want in the
    single
               interface.
               i.e. interface infFirst....
               interface infSecond....
               interface infThird....
               Now ,
               interface ingMulti extends infFrist, infThird...
    By above two answers its not prity clear as per the multiple inheritance in C or C++.
               i.e.
               class first{
               method abc();....}
               class second{
               method bbc()......}
               class multi::first::second{
               we can call to abc();.....as well as bbc();
    -Please give your important suggstion on the same.(Hope I explain it well.)
    -Jeff

    The keyword implement is used only for interfaces not
    for abstract class. If i am wrong correct me.I believe your right, but I will double check.
    As for the multiple inheritence think about the following code:
    class Animal {
        //  Animal generic stuff in this class
    interface Eat {
        //  Generic stuff that models eating behavior
    interface Runs {
        //  generic methods that model running behavior
    public class Horse extends Animal implements Eat, Runs {
        //  Stuff specific to a horse
    }The Animal class is generic but has stuff in it common to all animals.
    The Eat interface models behavior that is generic to eating, all living things have to eat something to survive. Herbavore are different from carnivores.
    The Runs interface models generic behavior to running, such as speed. A cheeta definately runs faster than a human.
    This brings us to the Horse class. It extends the Animal class because it "is-a" animal, and it implements the eat and runs interface because they are behaviors a horse has.
    I hope that helps.
    Extending an abstract class is the same as extending a regular class with the exception you MUST override all abstract methods in the abstract class. Thats not too difficult but I believe when designing classes, designing an abstract can be more diffecult than modeling the base class, and generic behaviors in interfaces. JMO.

  • Understanding the use of interface class?

    Hello,
    This question referes to java servlets, but the questions is about java design.
    My wrox java server pages text, includes an example where some user data is posted to servlet.
    To process the data posted and store this, they created a interface class and another class AdminManager which implements the interface.
    In the servlet they create an object from the interface class, and call the AdminManager methods through the interface object.
    In the book this was the only example which used a interface. And I wondered if this design approach was often used, or should an interface normally be used if several classes would implement the interface.
    Thanks

    It depends. You might want to create an interface even if you only have a single implementation of that interface in mind, because you want to make it easy to create more implemenations later.
    Also keep in mind that not all implementations of an interface are strictly for production use. For example, you might want to define an interface, define an implementation of that interface for production use, but then also define a "mock" version of that interface for testing, prototyping, etc.
    Generally I feel that if you have a sufficiently complex set of types and relationships between those types, it makes a lot of sense to express those relationships purely as interfaces, on a high level. Then provide implemenations as a separate step in the programming process.

  • Which case in LV Oper. Intf. will do "Run Selected Steps using single pass" for me?

    I added a button to simulate "Run Selected Steps", but I really want a button that will "Run Selected Steps Using Single Pass". Which case in the Complex Labview Operator Interface does this for me? What I really want is the report to be generated which happens when I use "Run Selected Steps Using Single Pass" but no report when I select "Run Selected Steps".
    Thanks!

    I figured out how to make this work.  Instead of calling the Sequence File View Manager ConnectCommand method using the Run Selected Steps button and the CommandKind_RunSelectedSteps command kind, you use the CommandKind_RunSelectedStepsUsingEntryPoints_Set command kind.  The tricky part is that before you can use the ConnectCommand method with the CommandKind_RunSelectedStepsUsingEntryPoints_Set command kind, you have to create a set of new commands.  Do this by first invoking the Application Manager method NewCommands.  This method returns an empty set of commands.  You must then add a new command to that set.  Do this by invoking the InsertKind method on the empty set of commands using CommandKind_RunEntryPointOnSelectedSteps for cmdKind, Sequence File View Manager for managerControl, -1 for insertBefore, and empty strings for currentMenuName and allMenuNames parameters.  Once you have made these calls, then you can call the Sequence File View Manager ConnectCommand method using the CommandKind_RunSelectedStepsUsingEntryPoints_Set command kind.
    The previous instructions work just the same for the Loop On Selected Steps button.  Just substitute the CommandKind_RunEntryPointOnSelectedSteps and CommandKind_RunSelectedStepsUsingEntryPoints_Set command kind constants with CommandKind_LoopEntryPointOnSelectedSteps and CommandKind_LoopOnSelectedStepsUsingEntryPoints_Set command kinds (and of course use the Loop On Selected Steps button reference instead of the Run on Selected Steps button reference when invoking the ConnectCommand method).
    There is one mystery with this solution that I haven't figured out yet, besides the fact that it is so laborious and non-intuitive to me (but at least it works).  Nowhere in any of the calls detailed above did I ever see a parameter to specify which execution entry point to use.  I am using the default sequential model entry points Test UUTs and Single Pass.  Typically you specify which entry point you want to use (such as when invoking the ConnectCommand method) in the form of an index to a set of entry points where the Test UUTs entry point corresponds to a set index of 0 and Single Pass corresponds to a set index of 1.  How did the previous calls determine which entry point to use when I didn't specify anywhere which one to use?  Do this just work because you can only run or loop on selected steps using no process model or the Single Pass entry point?

  • Single interface instead of logical hostname

    Hello!
    Currently we have a solaris cluster of two nodes running which serves as an NFS server. Both nodes have their own interface and a logical hostname is used for NFS.
    Now we want to provide NFS for a second network with the same cluster. We are short of addresses in this network so the best solution would be a single interface which is only activated by the node which runs the NFS server:
    bge0: First network (and virtual hostname if active)
    bge1: Second network if active
    bge2+3: Cluster transport
    Is this setup possible with sun cluster?
    TIA
    Stephan

    If I understand your problem statement correctly, then the answer is no.

  • Can single interface accomodates multiple bridge groups

    Hi,
    I am working on building FW configuration to serve multiple tier environment. The FW is in Transparent Mode, Sw Ver 8.4 which supports Bridge-group.
    My question is, whether FW supports having mutilple Bridge-groups under single interface. If not, what are the alternatives.
    firewall transparent
    interface gi0/0
    nameif outside
    security-level 0
    bridge-group-1
    bridge-group-2
    interface gi0/1
    nameif WebServers
    security-level 50
    bridge-group-1
    interface e0/2
    nameif AppServers
    security-level 100
    bridge-group-2
    Thanks

    Hello,
    That is not possible, Each interface will need to be assigned to a specific bridge group..
    Alternative would be to use a dedicated pair of interfaces for each bridge group
