Business Component generation from designer fails

I have data model and application modules in Designer 9i. Using JDeveloper 10g and JHEADSTART for application development.
I am importing this designer meta-data into JDEVELOPER. Defined a database connection for repository user as well as the database schema having required tables. I created a project and then started Business Components Generation from Oracle Designer to import a form module. A Wizard pops-up. Specified the required repository and database connection. It starts the import process but terminates saying 'oracle.jmig.source.ExtractorException: Caught SQL exception:ORA-00942: table or view does not exist'.
It does not specify which view/table is missing.
Can somebody tell, the reason for this error or where can I find the error log to get more details. I believe it is not because of any application table. I created a module without any table, still it gives this error.

Yes, this is a known issue. We will fix this for the next release.
Having said that, the next release will contain the JHeadstart Forms2ADF generator which directly reads Oracle Forms .fmb files to ADF, without the need to use Oracle Designer, avoiding problems like this alltogether.

Yes, this is a known issue. We will fix this for the next release.

Issue Connecting from Oracle Business Component Browser - adf-config.xml

There are similar posts in the forum to this, but I wasn't able to glean from them what I should do.
Essentially, I tried Connecting by:
right clicking on a node under a Model project, and selected TEST.
When the Oracle Business Component Browser - Connect Dialog window opened, I clicked CONNECT.The Oracle Business Component Browser (Local) seems to have opened fine, but in the message log I see this:
"jar:file:/C:/JDeveloper/jdev/doc/studio_doc/ohj/bc4j_f1.jar!/bc4j_f1.hs"

I found this release note, which mentions both adf-client.xml and JClient; I'm still too new to know whether this helps with this or not, but I'm hoping it does for someone out there.

JClient applications should continue to use application module configuration property jbo.security.enforce for enabling authentication and authorization.
The authorizationEnforce property in adf-config.xml new in 10.1.3 is not yet supported for JClient

Hi,
the adf-config.xaml file is not created by default and not needed by default. you need this to define custom skins or ADF Security.
For an example of adfs-config.xml doe skins see SRDemo sample app

With that one, first try uninstalling and reinstalling your MobileMe Control Panel for Windows, robin. Does that make the error go away?

How do I insert/Delete/Update a row to the DB Table from Business Component Browser

I am using the wizard and created a project containing Business component which contain some table.
When I run the project I could see "Oracle Business Component Browser(local)" and when I select some table from "View Object Member" I get a window displaying all the field of that table and I could browse all the info.
My Problem is when I try to insert a new record/Delete the existing record or update some record it never gets reflected to the DataBase.
When I try to insert a new row I did save and there was a dialog box displayed saying "Transaction ID is 1". But finally It's not reflected in the Database.
Can some one guide me how can I do insert/delete/update operation from Oracle Component Business Browser so that the changes reflect to the Original DataBase.

This may be a problem of caching. If you do an update,insert, or delete, and do not receive an error, then the transaction should indeed be posted.
I assume you are hitting the Save icon after your changes if you are getting a transaction ID. Are you checking for the updates through another session (i.e. SQL*Plus), or do you then requery the View Object in the tester? Do you exit the tester and come back in and not see the changes?

Migration of Business Component from PI 7.1 to PO

dear experts,
I am working on migration project from PI 7.1 to PO .
I am using migration tool to Move the Configuration Objects from 7.1 to PO.
those Objects in the SLD i.e Business System , I imported from the SLD but with regards to Business Component do we have any other menthod ...?
Because when i migrate using the migration tool Only Business Component is not migrating its giving me error when activating the objects in PO.
i did try to just do file transport for that one Business Component & import tht in PO from cleint system its also not getting picked in the Integrated Configuration.

Hi,
Cause of this error is if some data is missing in the CCMS System Component Repository (SCR). That means SCR contains no information about that components .
You may go to ST06 click on Operating system collector and check logfile , if any error is there or try to restart the OS collector.

How can I make non-inspectable component properties persist from design to runtime?

I have two components (lets call them A and B) which have normal inspectable properties (e.g. NAME and AGE) which allow you to enter values via the component inspector. When I type the value for NAME in component B (via the component inspector) I communicate via a singleton class and store this value in a NON INSPECTABLE property located in component A.
When I run the movie, I want to access this non inspectable property within component A; however, it is always null - the value will not persist from design time to runtime. I check that the value is set at design time by tracing the A's non inspectable property once component B has set it - and it does indeed work, so I know component B has managed to set the correct value in A.
Basically, what I need to know is, how do you persist properties of a component from design to runtime, without having to make properties inspectable and having to manually type property values via the component inspector?

I would think <componentInstanceOfB>.NAME would give you the current value of NAME in the component B. This can be accessed by any component (say A), when A knows the instance name of the component on the stage. So probably all you need to know is tell the instanceOfA the name of instace of B and then instanceOfA can access the value as <instanceOfB>.NAME.

Build fail! Read component differs from expected values by dcvendor

CBS Build Log indicates my error with the follow:
Creation of DC proxy failed:Read component differs from expected values by dcvendor, where xxxxx.com != com.xxxxx
The dcvendor is xxxxx.com. So who can tell me where the CBS get the "com.xxxxx"?

could you please provide the complete build log which includes this error?
Most likely the DCs cannot be built because in the DC/PP definition files, there are some illegal vendor names.
Can you please also tell me the version of your NWDI? Is it 640? We experienced this error a long-long time ago.

Of what i gather from ur scenario...this is what i did in one of my reports.
I had to use two subreports and they had to occupy one cell each, in line with other fields.
To obtain that,all the fields required in the subreport i put them into a text box.Therein restricting the fields to the txt box only...
Then import that sub-report as it is.
It worked for me....

Unable to read software component version from System Landscape Directory "

I've worked in past creating/importing SWCV, but this is new system PI7.0 and stuck.
A) Is my understanding on resolution correct?
Should I go and apply notes 940309 and create client copy of existing client 001
                                    OR
change role of client 001; SXMB_ADMIN -> 'Integration Engine Configuration' to 'Integration Server'
I have no problem in using client 001 as Integration server, all I want is import of SWCV to work. Thanks. Appreciate the help.
B) Here is what I have done and the error:
1) Followed weblog below and created product, software component, technical system, business sytem in SLD.

2) When I import the SWC from integration repository getting error

1) check the RFCs SAPSLDAPI, LCRSAPRFC, connection test pass as the program ID registered with Jco
2) T-code SLDCHECK no errors (followed http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/de/78/20244134a56532e10000000a1550b0/content.htm)
3) T-code SLDAPICUST got user PIAPPLUSER, pwd is correct (reset the pwd)
4) logged using PIAPPLUSER http://server:port/sld and it works
5) One of the weblog SLD Check Failed (LCR_LIST_BUSINESS_SYSTEMS function doesn't work) referred to apply notes 940309

How to customise the default business component wizard

I Would like to customize the default Business component wizard for my application so that some of the option should be dissabled. (e.g when I associate my business component with several tables I see a window which shows insert '+', delete 'x' etc) will come by default I would like to hide delete from this.
Can any one tell me how do I customise my Business application window?

I looked into "Modifying Data Form Generation Templates" which says there will be template.properties but could not find this file.
Actually my problem is I would like to add/delete some of menu item in the default business component browser. If possible to do this ?
Or would like to create a browser something similar to BC4J browser which gives me a list of tables to browse and each table gets opened as a data frame (Frame is easy to modify). Something like MDI for Data Frame.
Any help on this would be helpful.
