Business Objects Enterprise XI R2 - Exporting the list of Objects in Enterp

I'd like to get an export of all reports (& other objects) contained within a folder/subfolder structure in Crystal Enterprise XI R2.  How are some of you doing this?  Best thing I've come up with so far is tedious, doing an object search "list all" within CMC & copying & pasting page by page.
Thanks for any suggestions.

Go to menu bar select"System"-->list>Save--->localfile-->and then save it in spred sheet.

  • Is there a way in iTunes to save or export the list of "total warnings" that can appear when syncing an iOS devices?

I often have clients encounter a list of the songs/movies/apps that won't sync with their iPhone or iPad -- usually due to missing items in thier iTunes library.
Is there any way to copy/save/export that list to facilitate the process of resolving the missing files? That would enable me to fix the issue(s) without the presence of my client or their phone.

I would just take a screen shot, but I'd end up needing to take dozens, as the attached screenshot shows...
I can't select any text in the warning window, or I'd just copy and paste.

  • Can I export the list output to screen.

    HI,
My concept is I want to export the output of the list into a screen.
    Can anybody help
    regards
    Mave

    Hi Mave,
If yours is an ALV list, you can create your own custom button in the application toolbar for Export and using ALV event handling, you can implement the functionality to be incorporated in the custom export button. In the implementation, you can create a screen with table control and then the same internal table data used to display the list can be used to transfer data into the table control.

  • Chapter (marker) list-how to export the list

Can you export chapter lists to paper??? Or do yoiu have to just write them down one at a time

When I provide feedback, I sometimes attempt to discern the users intent when I give my reply. For example, I could have just posted "Use Metadata Hootenanny". But, I was attempting to discern if you were using those scripts because you WANTED to, or because you didn't know about Metadata Hootenanny, which is a much easier and a lot more straightforward way of creating Chapter tracks.
You may just want to ignore my prior statement and take the below as it's rewrite.
You might find it easier to use Metadata Hootennanny (unless you prefer to use the "Script Collection").

    Hi ,
IR -- Just transport the SWCV as a tpz file and import it back in the new environment. After importing, activate the import under the change list and not under the object level.
    ID --
    1. In the SLD , create the Transport Target for the Source Business System.
    2. Export the ID objects and import them in the new environment.
Now, if you have created the Trasnpost Groups and Trasnport Targets correct, the Business System of the old system will be replaced with the new system.
Just fill in the communication channel details and then activate the change list.
    also check these..........

  • Export/Import List without changing the GUIDs

    Hi, I have this problem:
I want to export a list from one Web Application and Import it in another Web Application.
I have a list which has a Master-Details Display Form. It was made via the SharePoint Designer so all the connections between different lists happen using GUIDs(lots of them - too many to rename).
What I tried: I exported the list via the Central administration. Then I did
    Import-SPWeb -identity <SiteCollectionUrl> -path <C:\...>
to the new Web Application. It created the list but the GUIDs are different and the display form fails.
    Any ideas?
PS: Backup/Restore is Not an option.

When you perform an import, SharePoint will create new GUIDs for (some of) the objects in the site. It does this so the
objects in your imported site do not conflict with existing GUIDs in the farm. This allows you to perform an export of a site and then import it in a different location in the same farm.
But below link provide you an alternate option through which you can save GUIDs of exported items.

  • Removing the ID of a lookup column when exporting SharePoint list to Excel

    Hi,
I export a list in Excel and I noticed the lookup column contains an ID together with the name (e.g. John Doe, #12). Is there a way I can avoid exporting the ID in Excel?
    Thanks.

LookUp Field Values have a string representation of “(ID);#(VALUE)”, i.e. “2;#Second Entry”.
If you export the list in excel you could create a formula or macro that split/copy only the value in a
new column and then hide the real one.
Try the following blog post for same samples:

  • Exporting a List to Excel to use for Excel Services WebPart (not working)

Hey everyone, here's the scenario. I'm trying to export a list to excel and save it to a library. All the connections are saved. Now. I want that excel file to render as a web part. When I make a change on the list and try to refresh the data connection
I get the error below. Please help
AJ MCTS: SP 2010 Configuration MCSA: Windows 7 If you find this post useful kindly please mark it as an answer :) TY

    Hi,
I did a test as the followings:
Create a list, and add some items into it.
Export the list into a Excel file, then upload the excel file to a library.
When I opened the file via Excel service, I saw the a yellow warning about unsupported features.
Then I created a wiki page, and add Excel Web Access web part and connect the web part to the excel file.
When I refresh all data conections, nothing happened.
    From the article:
https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms496823.aspx (they are similar with SharePoint 2013)
SharePoint lists are not supported for Excel service. So, it may cause this issue.
I suggest you click "Open in Excel" to open the file in Excel application, then refresh the data connection, and save back to SharePoint. Then after you refresh the page, the data of the Excel Web Access web part will refresh.
    Thanks,
    Wendy

  • Exporting ALV list to EXL different behaviour in different Language

    Dear Experts,
We have a custom report in which we are displaying an ALV Grid. Here many columns are there along with a column to display Material Number.
We have declared this material as of type MARA-MATNR only.
The user executes this report in language HU. In output This is getting displayed properly and there is no problem in it. But when the user export it to local file-> spreadsheet->excel file then the last character of the material is truncated. For example if material number is 00000000000123456 then in Excel it is storing as 12345 and digit 6 is truncated.
But if we log in to English language and execute the same report with same variant and export the list to EXCEL then it is working fine and the Excel sheet is showing proper material number as 123456.
I have tried to debug and check but i found that the data loaded in EN language is proper but in HU language it is loading it with value 12345X. Does anyone know what might be the issue here.
    in EN
    in HU
I searched in forum and found many threads regarding this but those solutions i couldnot apply here as I am properly declaring it as type MATNR and I cannot use the conversion exit as i need to display the entire value of material in ALV with leading zeroes.
    Thanks,
    Aswath.

    Hi Guys,
We finally got what the issue is. Actually the translated text for field heading of material is having only 5 characters and it was allowing to store only 5 digit material numbers.
    Solution used:
just provided the reference field as matnr in REF_FIELD of field catalog and set the flag NO_CONVEXT to make sure that leading zeroes are still used.
    Regards,
    Aswath.

  • Exporting SharePoint List to Excel it adds special / weird characters

It's probably an escape code but they're not uniform.  When exporting a SharePoint List to Excel there is one column that is a multi-select lookup column and upon export between each item in that column there are a few special characters.  #68 and #70 in particular I see quite a lot of.  What are these escape codes and what would be a good way of filtering them out so they don't end up on the export?

    Hi Bouhatsu and Rob,
I'm having the same thing with a filtered lookup. When exporting the list to Excel it adds the ID from the other list in front of the value I want (without me asking for it ...).
Did one of you found a solution to get these ID's out of the export?
    Regards,
    Jeroen

  • Export Related Lists to Excel

    Hi all,
Is it possible to export related lists along with the primary list data using Export to Excel?
    Thanks!
    K.
    Personal Blog: http://thebitsthatbyte.com

    Hi Kelly,
As far as I know, from the current SharePoint function, we can’t export the list along with the related list to excel. Because, the excel is not the relation database or data source. So, when you export the list, the relationship will miss.
In fact, SharePoint list is a form of database table. So, SharePoint list can keep the relationship.
In excel, you can create multiple data sheet, so, you can store your different list in different data sheet in one excel file. Some data you can choose from the other data sheet to display.

  • Error: List View Threshold. The number of items in this list exceeds the list view threshold, which is 5000 items.

Hi, i had created a SharePoint List in cloud ( office 365) using List Template.
List template contains 12000 items taken as template from SharePoint on Premise.
I am getting this error message, in SharePoint Online (Office 365)
The number of items in this list exceeds the list view threshold, which is 5000 items. Tasks that cause excessive server load (such as those involving all list items) are currently prohibited.
How to resolve it, to get data in my SharePoint list, any help will be appreciated.

With O365 lists over 5k items are now officially supported but they will have limited behaviour due to the threshold. There are no workarounds or options to increase the threshold either temporarily, for specific users or for the list itself as you have
    with on-prem.
You'll need to remove enough items to get it below the threshold limit, add indexed columns to support indexed views, then re-add the items again. This article is for 2010 but the section around indexed columns and views is still accurate:
    https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc262813(v=office.14).aspx
It may be possible to add the indexes on your on-prem list where you can increase/avoid the threshold, then re-export the list. That would rely upon the list creation script adding indexes before it uploads items but it's a logical assumption.

  • Exporting phone list

    Hi.
Is it possible to export the list of phones to e.i a text
    document?
It would be nice to be able to publish a list over supported
phones when I publish wallpapers on my website.

    Not that I know of.
You can easily export all of the metadata you have added to Excel, though. Select the photos you want (they don't have to be in the list view), and choose file->export->metadata. This will export a CSV file that you can open in Excel and see all the info there. Unfortunately, though, it is the IPTC data (so, what you added) and not EXIF+IPTC. There may be a way to do that but I don't know it off hand.
