Load controls/layout dynamically

I want to load a graphical frontend (in Adobe Flex)
containing some labels with text and an image dynamically from an
HTTPservice connecting to a MySQL database. For instance, the
HTTPservice returns the following XML data;
<layout>
<element posX="200" poxY="400">
<label>Company</label>
<text>Some Company & Co</text>
</element>
<element posX="400" posY="400">
<label>CEO</label>
<text>Some name</text>
</element>
</layout>
Is this possible and what kind of approach/functions can I
use to accomplish this?

You need to parse the XML file with E4X, extract the
information you need, add components of the relevant type with
ActionScript and set their data.

  • How to make table control rows dynamic/unlimited using TC with Wizard

    Hi Friends ,
    I have designed a table control layout using table control with wizard.
    Now the problem is when we design a TC layout ,then we have to design it on the page . The page has upper & lower limits. so the maximum size & maximum rows in layout is limited. I have tried to create a TC layout with maximum size & maximum rows . Maximum rows created in Layout is 25.
    Now suppose if enduser wants 100 entries to enter by coping a file of 100 records in my TC present on entry screen , then ONLY 25 entries are displayed on entry scren before doing any user action or saving and after saving only these 25 entries are sved in DB. Means enrtries from 26 to 100 are not displayed on entry screen or saved in DB.
    So my requirement is to display all 100 entries at a time in entry screen before saving with scrolling up & down facility and these 100 entries should also get saved in DB after clicking save button. In short I want dynamic entry screen table control which can show/dieplay Any Number . of entries whatever the number may be entered by enduser .
    Plz note that I have used all 3 facilliteis i.e.
    1. Scrolling
    2. INSERT/DELETE
    3. SELECT/DESELECT
    while designing TC with wizard .
    Scrolling buttons like FIRST PAGE, PREV. PAGE, NEXT PAGE, LAST PAGE are displayed.
    BUT they are not functioning though there is system generated code present in both MPP and in PBO & PAI. After clicking any of them , data which is dislaying on entry screen ( Here it is 25 entries ) is getting cleared/disappeared from enry entry screen.
    Waiting for ur response & solutions.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Sudhir

    Hi Ashish ,
    Do one thing .
    At PAI of screen holding TC , there is module name tc_mark on request .
    in this module , there is work area declared g_tc_wa .
    Now go to tc_init module of pbo , where u have given your select command .
    select * from ........................................
    use this code .
    if g_tc_wa is initial .
       SELECT * FROm
       g_tc_wa = 'X'.
       REFRESH CONTROL 'TC' FROM SCREEN dynnr.
       ENDIF.
    Just do this , m sure all buttons, insert, delete , scroll bar.. everything will work .

  • Error 1003 when loading a VI dynamically on LabView Run-time ini file configuration

    hi all,
    I have a problem with my runtime excutable.
    On 4 systems, all running XP it runs fine.
    On 2 systems ( one a new install of just LVRT 2011 SP1 ) I have:
    Error 1003 when loading a VI dynamically on LabView Real-time
    Or more spoecifically the error code is 1003 and the error source is Open VI Reference.
    When the RT app runs correctly I get these paths:
    Path Sent to Open Vi Reference:              Yeast_Grower.exe\Tecan_talk_Control.vi,
    Path Returned from Open Vi Refence:       C:\Program Files\Yeast_Grower\Yeast_Grower.exe\Tecan_talk_Control.vi,
    On a system that does gets the 1003 Open Vi Refence error I have the same Path Sent but of course no path returned as it does not open.
    To be sure that the vi Dyanmically called vi is compiled and valid at runtime I also include a copy of in the main.vi.
    To be extra sure I have also installed the runtime versions of VISA and DAQmx.
    I have compiled it with and without the "Use LV 8 calling hiaracy"
    My conclusion as this stage is that either the installation of LVRT 2011SP1 misses something the earlier LVRT installtions make.
    or is there a MyApp.ini or LVRT .ini  that controls how the RT dyanim calls are handled.
    Help very welcome how to solve this puzzle.
    thanks
    michael

    I understand that all the PCs (6 of them) have LV 2011 SP1, runtime or the development system installed. Right?
    How many of these PCs have the source code available on them?
    -> Only one of them has the source code.
    I am not sure I understood 'I also include a copy of in the main.vi'. Does it mean you placed the subvi in the main.vi?
    -> I meant I have included in main.vi the actual vi that is called dynamically - but only where it is not called.
    Did you try including the sub vi which is called dynamically, as 'Always included' in the EXE build?
    -> No, I did not know of this option - but the above I did this by default.
    Edit: Did you verify the software versions of LV RT, VISA etc on all the PCs? Are they same?
    -> I did verify even added DAQmx just in case
    There is lots of material available on this forum for error 1003 and dynamic vi calling. Did you find anything useful to try among the forums threads?
    -> I did view many of them.
    I did finally find the answer.
    I have a subvi (callNet.vi ) in the dynamically called vi (dynamic ) that calls .Net libraries.
    Now the thing is that this subvi callNet.vi is coded out by enclosing it in a Disable structure.
    In fact this subvi ( callNet.vi) does not even compile - ie it has a broken arrow
    however if enclosed in a Disabled structure and disabled, the enclosing vi compiles OK.
    However I have discovered that even with the .Net calling subvi (callNet.vi) in the Disabled state of the Disabled structure
    the enclosing vi (dynamic.vi ) does NOT run - although it compiles just fine.
    Once I installed the .Net libraries (I actually did include them with my app installer ) with the vender's supplied installer
    then my app now successfully calls the dynamic vi.
    So the Summary and warning is:  Even if the dynamic called vi is included in Main.vi and Main.exe runs ( but does not call the dynamic vi - except when called dynamically at later some point ) and even if, in this case, the .Net calling subvi is disabled out ie no .Net calls are made the dynamically called vi will not run when called dynamically.
    I hope that is not too confusing.  In summary it seems the Disable structure does not entirely disable.

  • SharePoint 2007 to 2013 Upgrade - Load Control Template Failures

    I am trying to upgrade SharePoint 2007 content databases to 2013 using 2010 as interim migration platform.
    When the databases are attached and upgraded to 2010, everything works fine. Once the databases are moved to 2013 environment and upgraded, the sites start to fail. Some pages/sites open up fine but most of the time they take a long time loading and ultimately
    return 'Sorry something went wrong' errors and logs point to load control template failures. The errors are not specific to one site or one specific set of files, every time I try to open the page I get failure with a new random ascx file. I have tried a lot
    of things but nothing has worked so far. It is really getting really hard to get to the root of the problem. I would really appreciate if someone can help me with fixing the issue.
    Here is what I have tried to far to try to fix the issue:
    1- Restarted IIS on all WFEs (2013)
    2- Cleared Configuration Cache and restarted everything
    3- Tried to manually change the layouts folder path under IIS site for the web application
    4- Cleared .net temporary files
    5- Setup whole new 2013 environment on a single server as WFE/APP and tried restoring to this new Farm, faced exactly the same issue.
    6- Tried to upgrade Web application under 2010 to use Claims Based Authentication and then Upgrade to 2013, still same issue.
    7- Attached classic mode databases to 2013 then upgraded from within 2013 to claims based authentication but this did not affect anything related to control templates.
    PS. There are some customizations in the original 2007 farm (a few Fab 40 templates and 3-4 third party solutions), none of which have been deployed to upgraded enviornments. Does this have anything to do with load control template failures? Although the
    error is thrown even on sites that did not use custom templates.
    Is there anything I can do to fix this? This is kind of a major road block now and really affecting our migration schedule. I hope someone can help or direct me in the right direction. Thanks.

    Please share ULS log for more detail.
    As for now you can check with user control appearing randomly in error if any of these contains " &#44
    " code in page directive or reference directives and replace them with comma ",". Fab 40 controls do not work straight away in SharePoint 2013. you need to have install then one by one after copying them over to
    new environment. User PowerShell command to Install them. Please share log detail

  • AS2 keyboard controlling a dynamic mc

    hey guys, I'm
    dynamically loading in a swf into another flash file, and I'm wanting the user to be able to either advance to the next frame(of the dynamic swf) with the right arrow key, or go to the previous frame with the left arrow key.  If I have to I can create a couple of arrows as a generic interface but I am not sure now to code those either.  Can someone explain how to control the dynamically imported movie clip?
    Thanks,
    Jon

    Here is code that goes in the main file that loads an external swf file and controls frame travel using the right and left keyboard arrow keys.  The loaded swf should have a stop() command in its first frame.
    this.createEmptyMovieClip("mc", this.getNextHighestDepth());
    loadMovie("loaded.swf",mc);
    var keyListener:Object = new Object();
    keyListener.onKeyDown = function() {
        keyListener.onKeyUp = function(){
           if(Key.getCode() == Key.LEFT && mc._currentframe > 1){
                 mc.prevFrame();
           } else if(Key.getCode() == Key.RIGHT && mc._currentframe < mc._totalframes){
                 mc.nextFrame();
    Key.addListener(keyListener);

  • How to load a Class Dynamically?

    hi,
    I have the following problem.I am trying to load a class dynamically.For this I am using ClassLoader and its Loadclass method.My code is like this,
    File file = filechooser.getSelectedFile();
    ClassLoader Cload = this.getClass().getClassLoader();
    String tempClsname= file.getName();
    Class cd =Cload.loadClass(tempClsname);
    Object ob =(Object)cd.newInstance();
    showMethods(ob);
    In showMethods what i am doing is getting the public methods of the dynamically loaded class,
    void showMethods(Object o){
    Class c = o.getClass();
    System.out.println(c.getName());
    vecList = new Vector();
    Method theMethods[] = c.getDeclaredMethods();
    for (int i = 0; i < theMethods.length; i++) {
    if(theMethods.getModifiers()==java.lang.reflect.Modifier.PUBLIC)
    String methodString = theMethods.getName();
    System.out.println(methodString);
    vecList.addElement(methodString);
    allmthdlst.setListData(vecList);
    Now whenever i work with this i m getting a runtime error of CLASS NOT FOUND Exception..I know its because of Classpath..But i don't know how to resolve it??pls help me in this regard...
    Also previously this code was working with java files in the directory in which this java file was present..How to make it work for java file in some other directory..pls help me in this regard...
    Thanks in advance..

    You sure didn't need to post this twice.
    http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jsp?thread=522234&forum=31&message=2498659
    When you post code, please use [code] and [/code] tags as described in Formatting Help on the message entry page. It makes it much easier to read and prevents accidental markup from array indices like [i].
    You resolve this problem by ensuring the class is in the classpath and you refer to it by its full name.

  • How to load a class dynamically and then a call a method?

    Hi
    I want to call a method from a class,which class is loaded dynamically.
    Consider a classA and ClassB..
    ClassB contains a method showvalue() which returns a String value.
    I want to load a ClassB dynamically in ClassA,and call the method showvalue() and print the returned value of that method (showvalue).
    How to do this?
    Thanks

    Since you found your way to Reflections and Reference Objects, I can only assume you know that reflection is the answer. Since the reflection tutorial on this site, and indeed, the many others on the web, can explain this a whole lot better and more consisely than can be done in a forum, I'll point you in that direction instead. As a starting point, and to show I'm not just fobbing you off, you're interested in the classes java.lang.Class, java.lang.reflect.Method, and the method Class.getMethod(String, Class[])

  • Parameters / Variables in SQL Loader Control File

    Here's my problem, I have created SQL Loader control file (ctl) to load a file of employees. This loader program is registered in Oracle Applications. What I want is to pass a parameter derived from the profile like the user name of the one who executed the loader program and pass it to the loader program so that the user name info is included in the loading
    example
    input data
    123456,John,Smith
    654321,Jane,Doe
    loaded data
    123456,John,Smith,03-JUL-2009,USER13
    654321,Jane,Doe,03-JUL-2009,USER13
    the sysdate is easy because it can be defined in the column but what I really want to achieve is a parameter passed to the ctl file.
    Thanks in advance.

    Dear user!
    Please have a look at this thread.
    {thread:id=915277}
    In the last three posts I explain how to use a shellscript with AWK and SED to pass parameters to a controlfile.
    Please feel free to post again if you have some questions regarding my explanatory notes.

  • Define variable in SQL Loader Control File

    Hi,
    I have an input file where the first line is the header record, followed by the detail records. For the processing, I do not need to store the fields of the header record but I need a date field from this header record and store in as part of the detail record in an oracle record row.
    Is it possible to define a variable within the sql loader control file to store the value that I need in memory then use it when I do the sql insert by the sql loader?
    Thanks for any advice.

    Not sure that you can. But if your on unix/linux/mac its easy enough to write a shell script to populates the variables in a template file that you can then use as the ctl file. The perl template toolkit could be an option for that as well

  • Load JDBC-Driver dynamically with JarClassLoader

    Hey!
    I have a problem loading JDBC drivers dynamically with a JarClassLoader:
    Code:
    public class URLLoaderTest {
      public static void main(String[] args) {
      try {
        URL[] urlList = {new File("D:\\jbuilder5\\SQLServerJDBC\\lib\\mssqlserver.jar").toURL(),
                         new File("D:\\jbuilder5\\SQLServerJDBC\\lib\\msbase.jar").toURL(),
                         new File("D:\\jbuilder5\\SQLServerJDBC\\lib\\msutil.jar").toURL()};
        ClassLoader classLoader = new URLClassLoader(urlList);
        Class c = Class.forName("com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver",true,classLoader);
        Object d = c.newInstance();
        DriverManager.registerDriver((Driver)d);
        // DriverManager.getDrivers()    Enumeration is empty
        Connection conn = DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:microsoft:sqlserver://Server:1433","test","test");
        DatabaseMetaData meta = conn.getMetaData();
        System.out.println("JDBC driver version is " + meta.getDriverVersion());
      catch (Exception e) {System.out.println(e.getMessage());}
    }Problem:
    Till the DriverManager registraton everything is ok.
    The registerDriver Method throws no exception but if I call DriverManager.getDrivers() after calling the registerDriver Method an empty Enumeration is returned.
    So the driver is not loaded and DriverManager.getConnection throws an Exception (no suitable driver).
    If I include the driver jars into the Classpath everything is running (but that isn't what I want to do).
    Is there a solution for this problem? Maybe it is possible to load the data into the AppClassLoader??!!
    Thanx in advance.

    Found a solution!
    For everyone who is interested:
    public class URLLoaderTest {
      public static void main(String[] args) {
      try {
        URL[] urlList = {new File("D:\\jbuilder5\\SQLServerJDBC\\lib\\mssqlserver.jar").toURL(),
                         new File("D:\\jbuilder5\\SQLServerJDBC\\lib\\msbase.jar").toURL(),
                         new File("D:\\jbuilder5\\SQLServerJDBC\\lib\\msutil.jar").toURL()};
        ClassLoader classLoader = new URLClassLoader(urlList);
        Class c = Class.forName("com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver",true,classLoader);
        Object d = c.newInstance();
        Driver driver = (Driver)d;
        Properties prop = new Properties();
        prop.setProperty("user","test");
        prop.setProperty("password" ,"test");
        Connection conn = driver.connect("jdbc:microsoft:sqlserver://test:1433",prop);
        System.out.println("JDBC driver version is " + meta.getDriverVersion());
      catch (Exception e) {System.out.println(e.getMessage());}
    }

  • Fetch records from ETL Load control tables in BODS

    Hi,
    Please anyone tell me, how to fetch the records from the ETL Load control tables in BODS.
    (E.g) ETL_BATCH, ETL_JOB, ETL_DATAFLOW, ETL_RECON, ETL_ERROR.
    These are some ETL load tables..
    Thanks,
    Ragrds,
    Ranjith.

    Hi Ranjith,
    You can ask your administrator for BODS repository login details.
    Once you get login details you will get all the tables.

  • Restrictions for using sql commands and operators in loader control file

    Hi ,
    It suppose that there is a lot of restrictions and limitations when using sql commands and operators in the loader control files, same as it seems I cannot use (or) when with case statement, also it seems there is certain length for the case,
    So guys, what are the common limitations and restrictions to be avoided in the loader control file ?
    Your efforts are highly appreciated
    Ash

    Hi Ash,
    if you need to do more complicated logic its better to define the file to be loaded as an external table. You can then use any sql function you like against the external table rather than messing around with what you can and can;t do in a sqlldr control file.
    You can use the external_table option of sqldr to generate the definition.

  • Add "Trailing Nullcolls" to sql loader control files generated by OWB

    Hi gurus,
    I've got a problem loading data with SQL Loader. I need to add the parameter "trailing nullcols" into the SQL Loader control file generated by OWB. I don't want to do this by saving the skript on my hard disk and run it manually, so any ideas where I can put this parameter? I am using OWB 10.1 on a windows 2000 machine.
    Thanks
    Stephan

    Hi,
    I found the solution to problem.
    1; Select the mapping where you map your source flat file to a table.
    2; Right click on the mapping and select "configure"
    3; Go Sources and Targets -&gt; YOUR_TABLE_NAME -&gt; SQL*Loader Parameters
    4; Set Trailing Nullcols = true :-)
    Thank you to anyone looking at this problem.
    Greetings

  • Importing already-made SQL*Loader control files in OWB 10g

    Hi all,
    Suppose that I have a certain amount of already hand-made SQL*Loader control files, say 50 or so.
    Each of these control files have a variable quantity of fields.
    I feel really lazy, so I would like to know if it is possible to import directly these control files instead of re-typing them in the design center. That would save me a lot of time.
    Thanks !
    Burgy

    Hi Burgy
    One option is to use the sqlloader option to generate an external table from the SQLLoader control file (search for generate_only in the sqlloader documentation). If you define the external table in the database you can reverse engineer this into OWB.
    Cheers
    David

    I believe I am having a similar problem, except I did remember to remove the terminating semicolon after pasting my SQL query into BI Publisher.
    I have a report which is simply a copy of a different report which works perfectly in all ways. The copy has only had its SQL edited, and I get the same error:
    "Failed to load auto layout"
    Also, the data won't finish loading into Excel when I hit the 'Excel Analyzer' button from the web interface from the 'View' screen. It leaves me with an empty sheet called 'remove_me_please'. I feel like removing the whole damned BI Publisher system from our servers when I see this.
    What is so confounding is THE REPORT GENERATES VALID DATA! I can set the output to 'Data' and the XML produced is perfect. I can even make a pivot table in the Online Analyzer. I just can't autogenerate an RTF layout or use the Excel Analyzer. I'm using a fully updated version of .NET 2, and fully patched MS Office 2003 Pro. BI Publisher version is 10.1.3.3.2, and the Excel & Word add-ins are those downloaded from our BI Publisher server.
    IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO DIAGNOSE PROBLEMS IN THE QUERY IF THE QUERY WORKS IN MOST SITUATIONS. It works in Toad, and even in BI some ways. The SQL interpreter needs to be trashed and rebuilt from the ground up. This system stinks, Oracle! I have been very frustrated with BI Publisher for the 6 months I've been using it. That Query Builder has got to go, too! (No numeric aggregation? What is wrong with you?)
    Furthermore, even after we update everyone's MS Office and .NET, the 'Oracle BI Publisher' menu doesn't even show up in half the installations we do. Everyone around here is starting to doubt that IT is really going to come through on their reporting needs. I'm thinking 6i sounds really good right now.
