  • Want to know how to debug the Business Object Method called from CRM

    Hi all,
I have to debug a Method of a custom Business Object. This is being called when a certain action is performed
on the CRM  ( CIC0 screen). I can not see an option to set an external break point in the Program of the Business Object
    Method.
This Business Object calls a standard SAP FM. I tried setting an external break point in that FM and tried executing that.
But it  is not stopping there.
Can any one please let me know how I can debug this when triggered from CRM?
    Thanks  in advance.
    Thanks & regards,
    Y Gautham

    Hi,
I have tried checking the option 'IP MATCHING' option. I have given my user id and also the 'WEBUSER' as well.
But still I am unable to debug the application.
Can you please let me know if I am missing anything further.
    Thanks & regards,

  • Business Object Method is not Visible

    Hi Experts,
I have created a custom business object and created a method for it in t-code SWO1.
I am trying to use this object's method in one of workflow tasks. I entered the business object and I do not find the method in the method's list.
I released the business object, still I do not find the method in pull up menu. Am I missing anything?
    Thanks!
    Babu.

    Hi Babu,
Is this question being answered. If YES then please marked this question as answered.
I do have some other solution. Hope this will work.
Well, if you are trying to directly use the method of the Custom BOR in any of the custom task, then check whether the method have been marked as Instance independent?
    Double click in the method.
Check the box and tick it for the Method to be instance independent.
Generate it once again and check...
    Reward points if found useful.
    Regards.
    Abhijit.

    Hi Guys,

Seconly does BAPI property of the method (method property where we can provide BAPI function module) has to do with remote call for this method?? What exactly is the use of BAPI property of any method in SAP workflow business object??

    Hi Naeem,
Generally we are using SAP BOBI as  best BI adhoc, canned  Webi report  and customizing Dashboard , Crystal report preparation in  Complex Billing report by using Web intelligence , Crystal report  and Digital dashboard  is best for KPI analysis , predictive analysis for Project , Management also .
Their  flows are very simple by using specific SAP recommended Specific tool for any MIS , BSCS billing BI reports preparation that we are following in specific domain based Project.
BAPI reporting is part of ABAP reporting , that you can  flow in Mr Rob statement .

  • Return to List Processing From Business Object Method CTREQUEST.Display

I have a simple program which displays selected TRKORR (Transport/Correction) numbers in a list on the screen. I want to be able to double click on the number and inspect the contents of these items.
The program is not pretty - its for my use only.
Anyway, the code below is tucked at the end of my program, and it works fine - double clicking will display the request. .
    FORM SHOWCTS  USING  P_REQ.
      DATA : ThisReq      TYPE SWC_OBJECT.
      DATA : ReqObjectKey Like SWOTOBJID-OBJKEY .
      SWC_CONTAINER        REQCONTAINER.
      SWC_CREATE_CONTAINER REQCONTAINER.
      move p_req to ReqObjectKey .
      SWC_CREATE_OBJECT ThisReq 'CTREQUEST' ReqObjectKey .
      SWC_CALL_METHOD   ThisReq 'Display'   ReqContainer .
    ENDFORM.
    AT LINE-SELECTION .
      data l_req type TRKORR .
      move sy-lisel+29(20) to l_req . CONDENSE l_req NO-GAPS .
      perform showcts using l_req .
The problem is, when I exit from the CT Request, the program EXITs  . The desired behavior would be to return to my list processing.
How can I return to my list upon exiting the Request display?
    Thanks...

    Hi,
Try command LEAVE TO SCREEN 0 instead of EXIT.
    Thanks.

  • Values from Structure used in Form to be transferred to a Business Object

    Hello,
I have defined a structure (zcsks) in the workflow container. This structure is used in two forms (Change and Approve).
With the approval (button pressed on approve form) the data entered in the structure zcsks has to be transferred to the business object ZBUS0012 in the workflow container, so that the business object method CREATE can be executed automatically.
The values for the structure ZCSKS is already transferred from the form to the workflow container automatically.
My question now is how I can transfer values from ZCSKS to ZBUS0012 and execute its method CREATE automatically ?
    Thank you in advance!

    Hello,
"Value of expression '&_WI_OBJECT_ID.COSTCENTER&' cannot be used as the target of an assignment"
This is because you are trying to assign a value to an attribute of the main object of a workflow (_WI_OBJECT_ID).
That won't work. I thought you meant you had an object in the workflow container and wanted to
    instantiate that.
When the workflow is created the main object is already instantiated so you can't change it.

  • Link Between Business Object and Transaction

<b>How is Business Object linked to transactions?</b>
For example, how is business object BUS2032 (Sales order) linked to transaction VA01 (Create sales order)?

    Hi Ben,
I'm not sure that you link a business object and a transaction code explicitly. Normally in the business objects methods you have coded what transaction code should be called. Therefore if you use the methods of the business objects it then knows what transaction to call.
Conversely on the workflow side you will find that down in the depths of the coding for VA01 (as an example) it calls workflow function modules and raises events. When doing so it provides the business object id and key to the business object (i.e. the sales order number). Indirectly I guess the change documents that are raised for most things in SAP like sales documents are uniquely identified and therefore can also be translated to the business object key (e.g. sales documents will have their own change document type).
A brief example in my 4.6c system can be found in include LIEDPF4C in the form finsta_kontoauszug_buchen with a call to function SAP_WAPI_CREATE_EVENT. You see the the parameter "object_type" has a variable passed to it "objtype_finsta". If you drill back on objtype_finsta you see that is hardcoded to the value BUS4499.
I guess you could say the developer of the business object knows what transaction codes the business object should use and the developer of the code in the transaction code knows what business objects he should be raising events for if necessary.
    Hope this helps.
    Regards,
    Michael

    Hi,
3)What is the releavance of ALE message type , in Bapi when and where we are going to use this?
Ans: BDBG transaction shows the ALE message type for particular Bussness object name.
7)Diff bwt business object type vs interface type?
8)While using bapi in LSMW we need to input
    Business Object
    Method
    Message Type
    Basic Type
From where we need to get the basic type for the message type?
Ans: You can find them in BDBG transaction.
9)we have added the zfields to the table mvke and this fields are placed in material master sales view.

    Hi All
I am new to work flow ..can any one explain me what is mean by business object??
    Thanks

    Look into the below Link
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/7e/5e11a84a1611d1894c0000e829fbbd/frameset.htm
Business object is like a Application system with all the functionality.
For each SAP Functionality like Sales Order, Purchase Orders, Requisition, Delivery. Everything has it's Own Business Object with Key Fields, Attributes, Methods, Events.
    Eg: Sales Order (BUS2032) Txn : SWO1
Key Fields : Sales Order Number --> Will be the Unique & non empty field
Attirbutes:   All other Sales Data --> Similar to VBAK & VBAP data for processing within the business object
    Methods:   SalesOrder- Change
SalesOrder- Create  --> Some are API functions linked directly to BAPI, which are for performing  an operation, this will have Programming behind it.
Events:  SalesOrder- Create --> Will get triggered when an Sales Order created and some need to be configured to be triggered

  • Given a business object type, how to find out the underlying table name ?

    Hi,
Given a business object type (e.g. BUSxxx), is there any Function Module that can be used to get the table name for that object ?
Have been through the SWO* FM's but did not get anything yet.
Pls let me know how this can be done.

Given a table name, I am able to figure out the column information and read that data. But all I have is the business object type, so would need to figure out all the tables (as you helpfully pointed out, there could be more than 1 for a business object) and then read from those tables.

So, assuming for the moment we are just dealing with the PO BUS2012 business object, your external application will be passing you a BO type and also (presumably- otherwise you could be sending back an awful lot of data) a BO key,  and you then want to send back all the detail for PO - exactly what the GetDetail method that is present on most objects does - is that right?
Since most BOs have a GetDetail method, can't you just use that?
Though I really can't see why your external application would be interested in all SAP BOs - most applications are a bit more specific than that.

  • Error while accessing Method from Business Object

    Hello Experts,
I have created a business object ZBUS7051 by using BUS7051 as a Supertype. I have crated a method GET_DATA in ZBUS7051. If I use BUS7051, Method GET_DATA in a standard task, getting a message that Method GET_DATA not defined for object type BUS7051.
Why I am getting this error? Is there way I can use BUS7051-GET_DATA instead of ZBUS7051-GET_DATA.
The workflow triggering event is BUS7051 u2013 CREATED. In the workflow binding, system is showing a warning that u2018Conversion from BO.BUS7051 to BO.ZBUS7051 can cause data-related errorsu2019. How to fix this? Please let me know.
    - Krishna.

    Thanks to everyone.
I have delegated the custom business object to super type BO 7051. I triggered the workflow using T.Code: SWUE, BO: BUS7051. Event: CREATED. But the workflow is resulted an error as given below.
Problems occurred when generating a mail
Error '9' when calling service 'SO_OBJECT_SEND'
Work item 000000503335: Object BUS7051 method WAIT_1_MINUTE cannot be executed
    Object does not exist
    Object does not exist
    Object does not exist
Variables of the work item text cannot be generated
    Syntax error in expression &NOTIFICATION.NUMBER&
(This is a Wait Step, Created in ZBUS7051, Method: WAIT_1_MINUTE)
Since the delegation has done, I can say BUS7051 - WAIT_1_MINUTE, instead of ZBUS7051- WAIT_1_MINUTE. Is it correct?
Could some one please let me know, How to fix the above issue?

  • How to access Business object type attribute from a method/function modul ?

    Hello,
i have created a business object type object along with attributes and methods. Now inside the method i want to access the attributes. inside the method i am writing:
    data a type XXX.
    a = me->attribute
this is creating a compilation error.
Now the method is defined as a function module in some package, so can anyone inform me how to access object attributes from the function module ?

    Regards

    Hello,
thanks for your answer, but this too did not work, "=>" is for static attributes and the attributes i have are not static. Moreover, i tried it but it gave the same error :
the abap error was when i was checking the code is :
    the type me=>documenttype is unknown
as you know in SWO1 i created an object and when i create a method you link it to a function module and this is where you have the implementation of the method, so from this method how can i access the attributes on the main object that i created in SWO1
    regards
