Business Partner update problem

We are using the BAPI FM BAPI_ISUPARTNER_CHANGE to update the Email address of the BP.
On call to the BAPI the followign parameters are passed:
PARTNER = bp value
PARTNERDATA = mandatory stucture with blank values
PARTNERDATAX = mandatory stucture with blank values
E_MAILDATANONADDRESS-E_MAIL = new email id
E_MAILDATANONADDRESSX-E_MAIL = X.
A BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT is called after the above call.
But the BP email is not getting updated. Appreciate ur ideas.

I think that you should also provide the BP ID for structure PARTNERDATA as it contains the information for the BP that you want to change.
Alternatively, you can try to use FM "BUPA_CENTRAL_CHANGE" to update the email address for the BP. Check also following links for explanations about how to use this FM:

Do we need to send the Business partner functions while creating record in R3 thru MDM.
For any account group i pass the Idoc is expecting all Business partner functions to be defined for the account group to which am trying to create Customer.(As SH,BP,PY..)

In ECC partner functions are used when you have multiple addresses for the same customer. The partner function links those address records together. You could have multiple unique customer numbers on the KNA1 table, but in the KNVVP table (partner functions) you maintain the linkage between the main table records.
Partner functions are not recommended in MDM. These are generally not considered to be "enterprise level attributes" and therefore shouldn't reside in your customer repository in a central create scenario. Additionally, some of the complexity required to model partner functions can't be modeled in MDM at this time. When 7.1 comes out, there is a new data type called "tuples" which supports deeply nested structures, and therefore you could model a true partner function table inside the sales area table.

Blocked Business Partner List

Hi,
can anyone help me to find how this blocked list updated?
1. Some of the business partner updated automatically in this blocke list
2. Some business partners added into blocked list after SPL screening.
Also please confirm the below questions
1. when ever a customer/document blocked in SPL screening then BP will be automatically added into blocked list.
2. If yes then after releasing document in SPL screening, i have to release BP also from Blocked list to avoid feature blocking?

Problem Updating Business Partner DI Object loaded via XML

Hello,
I'm working with SB1 8.81 PL 08
I have to Update a Business Partner Object in a Target SB1 Company Database starting from a Business Partner Objects saved as XML from the Source SB1 Company Database.
Normally this works fine, I load from XML this Object and calling the Method Update all data is Syncronized in the Target DB.
But if the Business Partner Object has at least a Contact Person and in the Target Company DB a Marketing Document has been created for this particular Business Partner the Update Method called on the loaded by XML object always fail giving the following error:
Error: -10
Message: Contact Person is referenced by another object. , 'Sales Quotations [...contact Person ID...]'
The modifications I need to update do not involve contact person in the BP object but only other simple properties like Tel Nr. ...
In conclusion ... if the target BP has a marketing document created it seems no more possible to update it with an XML load, instead if a load the BP using the GetByKey() Method and changing manually some properties of the object the Update works fine.

DTW problem when updating business partner

Hi Experts,
I want to update business partner master data via DTW.
I only want to update the Remarks.
In my import file only the fields RecordKey, CardCode and FreeText are filled.
Example:
RecordKey: 1
CardCode: C20000
FreeText: My Remarks
The import is successful and the remarks were filled but the DTW has also updated other fields in the business partner master data.
Before update via DTW the business partner has no payment methods included on the payment system tab but after update via DTW the payment method is included and is defined as Standard.
Any idea?

yes, the existing payment methods were defined manually before update.
But the payment method was not included for that business partner.

Update Business Partner via SAP Business One Webservices

Dear all,
We use the SAP Business One Webservices to add/update businesspartners and items.
We can add/update items without any problem.
We can also add businesspartners without any problem.
But when we try to update a businesspartner.
We always get the error message : "Entry already exists in following tables:"
This is the code we use to update BusinessPartner:

Hi Bart,
I think the problem is because you are using the BPService twice without initializing it one more time in the middle.
You call first GetByParams and then Update.
The following code works for me:

Problem in Creating a Business Partner Role

Hi Frns,
I am trying to create a BP Role from CAC->SAP Business Partner->Business Partner->Business partner Roles->Define BP Roles.
I copied BUP003 and given my BP Role name as ZEmp.
When i try to save it, it is giving an error message saying
"NO STANDARD ASSIGNMENT DEFINED FOR BP ROLE CATEGORY BBP003".
I have checked in BBP003 Category in the same.
What could be the problem?

Hi Roshan,
You have Created a BP Role,
You must also have assgned the Same to a BP Role Category Check the Settings for BP Role Category Assignment and when Appropriate you shall Assign Std Assignment of BP Role Category to your BP Role by Selecting the Check Box

The role category makes it possible for SAP and customer programs to program on the BP role.
Dependencies
The role category depends on a differentiation type.
Any number of BP roles can be assigned to a role category, with one role always acting as the standard role per role category.

Updating Template Details During the Creation of Business Partner

I am working in SAP CRM 5.0.I am creating the Business partner Using the Transaction code
'BUP1'.My Requirement is at the time of saving the Business Partner i want to update the
Template Details.I tried with the BAdI 'BUPA_TEMPL_UPDATE' .But this BAdI does not contain the Template Parameters.How to do this it is very Urgent Requirement.Please help me to solve this problem.

In CRM5.0 IC webclient, I used FM 'BUPA_TEMPLATE_SAVE_TABS' to save information regarding Business Partner Template.

Problem with BDOCS Business Partner CRM - PSCD(R/3)

I have a problem with BDOCS (Middleware, Data Exchange Synchronization).
I configured only Synchronization for Business Partner Type 2 Organization and 3 Group(In the Initial Load). However, when PSCD add or modify Identification Number (table : BUT0ID) for other types of Business Partner, for example type 1 Person, the BDOCS generate a update in CRM (inbound queue) specifically produced a show processes in PSCD, because the table TRFCOUT progressively grow, and also in the outbound queues table.
Do you have any idea what happen ??
or if i can use a kind of filter to the Bdocs online??
Because i only can filter the BDOCS in the initial load but not in the bdocs online.

Hi,
Configuring the business partner integration from R/3 is done in the PIDE-transaction on the R/3-side and in the customer_main object on CRM-side. Simply enter the filter settings in the object, sync it with R/3, check your filter settings in table CRMFILTAB on the R/3 side.

Blocking of Adding or Updation of Business partner

I am having problem with the transaction notification where i am having a udf in the business partner master data where in that udf i want to maintain only unique records for that i have used transaction notification but i am getting error message for every unique record updation or adding of the record

Mass Update of Business Partner Data in CRM

Hi,
I would like to know how I can perform a mass update of business partner data in CRM and then have this replicated into R/3.
I have found notes 802804, 876602, 859632 but these only apply to CRM 5.0 and we are currently working on CRM 4.0. Does anyone know of anything similar which exists in CRM 4.0?
I have checked other posts and found help files links like the one below but is this only on CRM 5.0? (http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm50/helpdata/en/3c/9b56fae6c7424cafcdf17370399812/frameset.htm )
Has anyone used the tx. MASS in CRM?
Also our volume update levels is as high as 300,000 record and updating in CRM and replicating into R/3 through the middleware is causing performance problems.

Mass not available in 4.0, could write your own LSMW routine but you still will create bdocs for updates so not sure how that will improve your performance.

Updation of Organizational name changes in Business Partner

Hi group,
I need one clarification from anyone of you.It is regarding the updation of the Organizational changes made in "maintain Organization" (PPOMA_CRM) transaction (in Basic Data tab)in Business Partner (BP) transaction.
For some organizations, it is working fine but for smoothers it is not.I have tried that both in Quality and Production systems. Actually I have to update this in Production system.
I could not get why it happening so??
I came to know that it is an SAP bug..
Has anyone of you ever encountered this problem??
If So, could you please suggest me something about this??

Hi Kishore,
Changes are only possible from PPOMA_ORG and BP gets automatically data, in fact it is not possible to edit the partner in /nBP. Not sure if an execution of program HRBCI_ATTRIBUTES_BUFFER_UPDATE is required after changing basic data, but try this too. Also check if all steps from note 550055 are done.
