Button interactions

Hi,
I am a begginer in Catalyst, and I lost with Button interactions, need help.
When I am adding two interactions to one button, like "roll over" and "on click", just only one is working. why?
Is there any way to make this work?
I m traying to make picture change on roll over and another page show on click,

Which version of Flash Catalyst are you using? (It is nice to be able to ask that now)?
I've attached a demo (done in Flash Catalyst 5.5) that shows a rollover and rollout interaction, and then a click interaction.
If you care to post the file I might be able to take a look. I suspect that you might have the interactions applied to your button, but your button might not get into the proper state for it to be triggered.

Is there a method to keeping or saving the button interactions in the advance tab of the inspector until I burn. I have 50 buttons that need their button actions-up-down-right and left. They don't save.

So the auto assign buttons continously is off (no check mark?) and it is resetting?
If auto assign buttons continously is on any movement could cause resets and couldd be happening when you click. Takes one pixel.
Just ran a bunch of tests on my machine. Toggling the auto on/off auto assign buttons continously did change navigation from the Left, Right, Up, Down I set and also auto assigning now when setting Left, Right, Up, Down also changed Left, Right, Up, Down, but as long as those were off/not used, Left, Right, Up, Down remained the same.
You do not need to click hard to bring up the inspector for each button to assign navigation, just enough to select it should not be causing you to jump to preview screen. (is that the issue?)

  • SAP CRM WebUI : End Button Interaction center (and account CONFIRM)

    Hi to everybody,
is there a function , or bapi , that performs the same steps of "END" button on interaction center?
I need to display data of the account selected and not the account confirmed.
At last,is there also a function to confirm an account without using the standard button on "Account Identification" view?
Or have i to degub the standard code directly?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards.
    Dario.

    Hello, Dario.
So there is a class CL_CRM_IC_AUTO_NAV2. It's preloaded when the agent logins to CRM. In a view CRMV_IC_APP_COMP you can maintain which classes are preloaded. This class is for AUTONAVIGATION component.
Take a look at it. It subscribes for some IC events in IF_CRM_IC_COMPONENT~INITIALIZE. For instance, for interaction_ended event. And it handles this event in method HANDLE_INTERACTION_ENDED. There is a code which makes default navigation:
    if me->end_descr_object is initial.
       TRY.
          iv_nav_srv->navigate_to_default( ).
         CATCH cx_root.
       ENDTRY.
    endif.
You may try to copy this class to your own, then comment this block in your class and subsitute standard class with your own in CRM_IC_APP_COMP.
    Hope this will help.

  • SAP CRM WebUI : End Button Interaction Center

    Hi to eveybody,
is it possible to remain in the same page (for example in CSR detail) when the "END" button is being pressed on interaction center?
Now the system returns to main page and deletes all history.
Is it possible to make this in SPRO transaction or in other ways?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Submit button/interactive pdf

I've created an interactive form with a submit button. When I open the pdf in Reader and hit submit, it looks like it it going to send and then I get a popup that says "Authentication failed. Please verify your username and password." I currently use gmail as my email sender. How can I get this to work?

yes, as it said in the dialog, you have to attach the signed PDF by hand. But Gmail can be viewed In Apple Mail, i dont know but almost sure you can configure Outlook to send and recieve Gmail.

  • Button interactions within Scroll Panel/Content

I am creating a portfolio website using Flash Catalyst. On my Portfolio page I have a vertical scroll panel and within that panel I have little thumbnails of my artwork converted to a button component. So when the user click on the thumbnail I want the larger image to appear nearby. I make new states for the larger images within the scrolling content, but whenever I use the scroll thumb it also scroll the larger images that i want it to be in a fixed position. So is there anyway I can lock the larger image while user is able to scroll through the thumbnails. If not possible, is there anyway i can duplicate the events on the timeline from one page/state to another similar one?
If there is a better way to accomplish this please let me know too, I am all ears. If you need clarification on my issue, I will try my best to explain it through texts.

    Hi,
Here's a quick wireframe to illustrate the thumbnail separate from the detail image.   The large images could be in their own custom component or in different states in the main timeline (per this example).
The scroll bar needs be edited to look nicer.
    Hope this helps.

  • Interactive buttons in InDesign - for an iPad

    Hello!
For a University project, I have an assignment of pairing up with someone and creating a childrens e-book. Thing is, we've not had that long on it due to other deadlines, and the deadline for this project is this coming Friday (22nd).
We've created the layout of the e-book but the thing is, the buttons work on the Preview window box in InDesign, but it doesn't when using the Adobe Content Viewer app on an iPad - the assignment is creating the document for an iPad.
It's apparently because the buttons use Flash, and iPads dont support that.
We got given some artwork, and want to create a button/interactivity where the reader (a 3-6 year old?) needs to find a certain animal on the page, and then once they do, they need to tap it, in order for a fact to appear about it.
    E.g...
This is one of the pages/screens. It tells the reader to find the seagull. Easy, I know, but when pressing onto the seagull, we want it to come up with the fact. The red box around the seagull is a button, and the box towards the top right of the seagull is the fact box which is activated after selecting the seagull.
It works fine in the InDesign preview tab... This was after clicking on the seagull, which resulted in the box appearing...
I've watched a video on the Adobe website about some converter from FLASH to HTML5 programme called Wallaby Technology Preview, but it didn't work with that. The person had a moving animation though I suppose, and not buttons.
Something like a pop-up message would work in iBook Author but it needs to be created using InDesign. (This version i'm using is 5.5)
    Many Thanks!

The popup panel (text description) would be your multiple state object. It can be an ordinary element, it does not need to be turned into an interactive object. Select the popup frame, and in the Object State panel flyout, select "New State". This will create an Object (you can name this) with two states. Select State 1 and colorize the frame and text to none (for the invisible state). Leave State 2 as is (for the visible state). Make the seagull art an interactive button. Then select your event: "On Click" and Action "Go to State" and Object "Popup Panel" and State "State 2"

  • Interactive button issues in CS6

Here is the issue, as stated from one of my colleagues. I've worked with him on some of the possible soltions mentioned, but haven't been able to figure out a solution to this glitch problem. One note: we are exporting to interactive PDF for all documents using these buttons:
    Summary:
InDesign CS6 seems to disregard, and sometimes remove, the functionality of custom buttons. We want to understand it so we can work around it or determine a redesign solution.
    Description:
InDesign CS6 seems to remove the functionality of some buttons in a pre-built snippet. Also, documents that were fully functional and interactive in InDesign CS4 no longer work in ID CS6. It seems that not only is ID CS6 removing button functionality, this happens at random (it’s not predictable) and without any cause we can see.
    Markers:
Some things seem to indicate when the functionality doesn’t work. One is where the Visibility box in the Buttons and Forms panel won’t populate with all available functional buttons, (see image1). In this image, the button shown was fully functional when it was built, but it’s no longer modifiable because the Visibility box does not populate.
Other times, the field populates, but some of the functionality previously present has been removed. For example, in the image below, theHint3 button was built with an eyeball icon next to it and previously functioned properly. Now it’s gone, but the other two actions are still fine. Removing this functionality seems to be random; we can’t find any pattern to which actions get removed and which remain whole.
    What we’ve tried:
    Snippets.
In CS4 we created a snippet in which all of the buttons interacted properly. When that snippet was imported into ID CS6, almost none of the functionality came with the buttons. Once we anchored the snippet to the document, the rest of the functionality got removed and became unmodifiable
We’ve created a snippet from scratch in CS6. Sometimes the snippet comes in fully functional, sometimes it’s dysfunctional. We have not been able to anchor any functional groups of buttons without losing all functionality.
    Build from scratch.
We can build these from scratch, but it’s time consuming and there’s a stronger possibility for error. Additionally, we’ve found some functionality disappearing when you move the snippet around the document.
    Copy/paste.
We’ve also found some functionality disappearing when you copying  the snippet.
    Conclusion:
We don’t know what’s happening, or why, but it’s clear the functionality of buttons is not working as hoped. We hope it’s just some setting we’re not thinking through, but there’s a chance it’s a fault in InDesign. It may be a combination of both. Hopefully a solution can be found, or at least that the problem can be identified so we can work around it or redesign.

I have heard there´s some issues with transferring buttons with actions from one document to another, I have had some problems with Multi State object actions...
Have you tried to use Library instead of snippets? It probably won´t hepl but may still be worth trying...
Could you attach one sample snippet which doesn´t work?

  • Button click, leaving projector focus and frozen interactivity

    Hello all,
I'm am attempting to reword my problem (posted in another post) so as to facilitate getting assistance.
    Scenario:
A button with a mouseover effect attached via a behavior script with the following code
-- code that changes the background image when mousing over the button and turns an arrow to point towards button being clicked
    on mouseEnter(me)
    sprite(9).member = member("QSpick")
    sprite(1).member = member("background02")
    end mouseEnter
-- code that changes the background image and arrow back to the original prior to mouse enter
    on mouseLeave (me)
    sprite(9).member = member("pick")
    sprite(1).member = member("background01")
    end mouseLeave
-- code that open a pdf in adobe acrobat
    on mouseUp(me)
    baOpenFile( the moviePath & "User Manuals/ThePDFname.pdf" , "maximised" )
    end mouseUp
I am also using the prebuilt Mouseover Member change behavior from the Behavior Library to change the graphic of the button when the user mouses over it
What happens when the button is clicked:
The PDF launches fine full screen in Adobe Acrobat (we're assuming adobe acrobat reader is installed)...however if the end user closes adobe reader and returns to the projector file none of the buttons are interactive nor do the mouse enter behaviors work. It's as if the projector freezes in place.
I feel the solution is simple but I'm overlooking it...do I need to do something with the playhead to ensure the projector doesn't lose button interaction when the user returns to it? I'm holding the playhead at a marker with the prebuilt hold on current frame behavior.
Do I need to update the stage? Create a stage size clear sprite that detects mouse enter and updates the stage?
How do I keep the interactivity of the buttons and keep the projector timeline running (looping) in the background once the user clicks to launch the external PDF. I have made sure that my stub projector publish setting were set to animate in the background so that's not the issue.
    Any suggestions?
    Dignified

I'm still hoping for some help with this problem.
    Update:
Essentially what is happening is when a end user mouses over or clicks a graphic button that has behaviors attached for mouseenter, mouseleave, mouseup it change the background image (which I want), changes the graphic of the button (which I want), changes the cursor (which I want). When they click the button it launches a PDF externally from the DVD in Acrobat.
If the end user goes up to the toolbar and closes Acrobat and then clicks back on the projector is appears to be frozen in the mouseEnter state of the above mentioned button. All other buttons lose their MouseEnter animations and interactivity...basically the projector is frozen and does not respond to user interaction that is there.
All of this works fine when I run the movie from Director...the above problem only occurs on a Macintosh and from the macProjector.app file

  • Interactive PDF button functions go beserk after export

    Mac OS 10. 6.8. - InDesign 7.5.3
I have 21 page InDesign doc that is designed as an interactive PDF. The left hand nav is a simple page navigation via bookmarks that allows the user to navigate to any page of the document. Most pages are just copy but on two pages I also have a cascading list of items that the user can click on and reveal the additional information about the topic (see http://i47.tinypic.com/whmupv.jpg ). One of these cascading lists has 11 topics. These topics are stacked on 11 layers to allow the user to seamlessly navigate all the topics and additional information seamlessly on one page. The topics are all buttons that show/hide the relevant layer of information.
However, when I export the PDF, the last 3 topics (or bottom three layers of topics) simply do not work. When you click on any button in the top eight layers, they perform as programmed. But the bottom three on any layer are hopelessly broken, turning on/off the wrong layers and buttons. I've redone all the button interactions twice now, once from the top of the series of layers down and once from the bottom of the series of layers to the top. I can't make the bottom three layers work right. I even tried changing the layer order, but those bottom three layers continue to break.
I also tried downloading the Indd 6.0.1 trial and exporting from that but I get the same broken buttons. Is there a possible fix in Acrobat that I could try? We've done interactive PDFs like this before with up to 8 topics in a list and that one worked fine, although we discovered other bugs with layers of buttons like this.
    Thank you.

If you look at where the red circles are you can see the very slight increase in object scale.  The 2nd image is a comparison of a spread without any use of buttons.

  • Unable to interact with Flash content when running Firefox with restricted user

When running Firefox with limited Windows user on Windows XP the Flash elements are displayed, the content that is set to auto-play does so even, but the flash area doesn't receive any mouse input: e.g. when I right click in the area instead of the flash context menu I get the browser context menu as if the flash plug-in wasn't even there. The exact same page on the exact same computer but with Administrator user works as expected: can press buttons, interact with flash controls and the context menu upon right-click is of course the flash one. This behavior occurs even if I disable all add-ons.

Try uninstalling your sound card driver in Device Manager and reboot your PC.

    -- NOTES FOR DEVELOPERS --
-- The main handler is GoForward, which is triggered by mouseUp.  The Initialize
-- handlers checks if the global gNavigationButtonList variable has the right
-- structure, or creates it if it does not already exist.
-- USE OF 'JUMP BACK/FORWARD BUTTON' BEHAVIORS
-- Information about what markers have already been visited is stored in a
-- global variable: gNavigationButtonList.  As a global, this variable is
-- available to all navigation behaviors, on any sprite in any movie.
-- gNavigationButtonList has the following structure:
    --   [#stack [...], #index: [...], #forward: [...]]
-- Each of the subLists has the structure:
    --   [[#frame: <integer>, #movie: <movieName>], [...]]
-- #index is not currently exploited.  It provides a list of all markers
-- visited, in the order of their first visit.  It could be used to create
-- a pop-up menu, or to check if a player had visited a particular scene.
-- When the 'Jump Back Button' is activated, the marker nearest to the playback
-- head is appended to the #forward list.  When the 'Forward button'is
-- activated, this last item is copied to a local variable, then removed from
-- the #forward list.  Information concerning the current marker is appended to
-- the #stack, so that users can once again use the 'Jump Back Button'.
-- Going explicitly to "frame x of movie y" triggers the movie's
-- prepareMovie and startMovie handlers.  If the most recently visited
-- marker is in the current movie, the command "go frame x" is used instead.
-- USE OF "PUSH BUTTON" BEHAVIOR
-- The "Push Button" behavior can be used to deal with the rollover and
-- mouseDown states of the "Jump Forward Button".  When this behavior is
-- initialized, it asks each behavior on the same sprite to return a
-- behavior reference, if it happens to be the "Push Button" behavior.  If
-- a reference is returned then the "Jump Forward Button" sets the button's
-- enabled state to indicate whether the #forward list currently contains
    -- frames to jump to.

It sounds like you have some songs that are skipped when using the forward and back buttons on your iPod nano, and that leads me to believe that maybe these songs are skipped over when you are playing your playlist in the iPod as well. Is it possible to delete a button acros pages?

You can use the removeField JavaScript method, in a temporary button, interactive JavaScript console (Ctrl+J), etc.:
// Delete all fields named "Text1"
    removeField("text1");

  • AW keyboard focus after Flash interaction

Hi all and happy new year!
I am using AW7.02, Windows XP, Flash v8 (loaded using
    ActiveX).
    I have the following setup:
In a pageturner made in AW I have an interaction icon placed
    inside a
Framework. On the interaction icon I have several perpetual
    buttons, one in
particular to flip to the next page (next icon on framework).
    This button
interaction has RightArrow and PageDown keys assigned to it.
    So, while
running, if I hit right arrow or page down I will flip to
    next page. This
    works fine.
I also load and display Flash on the pages using ActiveX
    (Shockwave Flash
Object). The Flash are animations, so the user can click on
    Flash
    controllers to play/pause etc.
    The problem:
So, user can flip to next page with keyboard just fine, as
    long as the user
does not hit anything in the Flash ActiveX first. So for
    example, if the
user pauses the movie clicking the pause button in the Flash
    ActiveX and
then hit the right arrow key, then nothing happens. (I want
    page to be
turned). The user must first hit somewhere outside the Flash
    ActiveX in the
AW window before the keyboard triggers the buttons again.
    Attempts:
All my attempts have only been in author mode and not
    packaged mode.
I've done some attempts sending event from Flash after button
    in Flash has
been pressed. This is picked up by AW (confirmed with trace)
    and then I've
    tried to:
    - set focus to interaction icon that holds the button using
    SetKeyboardFocus(InteractionIconID). Did not work.
    - set window focus using baActivateWindow(baWinHandle) (from
    Buddy API). Did
not work, and as far as I could see the active window
    remained the same (=
AW window) during Flash interaction, so probably not so
    strange it didn't
    work.
So, does anyone have any idea on how I can fix the focus
    problem? The only
workaround that I am left with right now is to set up the
    same keyboard
interaction in the Flash as in the AW and send this info back
    to AW as
events. This is not ideal due to update issues and unclear
    codestructure.

    Hi again!
    Just a little update.
I tried to package, but that didn't help.
So I went for the the workaround where I pick up keyboard
    pressing in Flash
and send this info back with fscommand:
    FSCommand("keypress", Key.getCode());
I pick up the event in AW and filter it with keypress as
    #command. I then
get the key code from the #arg list and have a property list
    where I link
the key code with the keyname used in AW. I then use the
    KeyPress function
as suggested by Erik. As a result, any updates I make to what
    the different
keys do needs only be done in AW, so I guess it isn't too
    bad.
    Thanks for help and tips!
    /Jensen/
