Button set to unlimited. Only does action twice. Why?

I have a button in my training program set to unlimited attempts. It allows the user to click twice, yet it is set to unlimited. What am I missing?

In Captivate, normal interactive objects such as click boxes and buttons on give you one event you can use to execute an action. So their success or failure captions only appear once.
There is an alternative using widgets. The Event Handler widget from Infosemantics allows you to turn any object into a clickable object so that the click will trigger a success or failure criteria. But unlike other interactive objects, it has preferences you can configure to Disable Continue (so that clicking the object does not release the timeline) and Reset Success Fail Criteria (so that the user can click the object and see the feedback captions or execute the programmed action as many times as they want).

These are user-to-user forums, you are not talking to Apple here.
Audiobooks (and ringtones) are currently a one-time only download. I believe that they are all supplied to Apple by audible.com, so I assume that it's them who are requiring the one-time only download restriction. To get it onto your other devices you will need to sync it via a computer. Depending upon what country that you are in, Audible.com have their own app (Audiobooks from Audible) so you might be able to buy direct from them, though I don't know whether you can buy within their app or download audiobooks directly from them within the app e.g. whether they need to be copied via a computer.

sometimes the "opm.db file" is the culprit. In this case you should delete it.
And if it doesn't work still after that, as much as I regret it and as strange as it may seem I fear it's a challenge for Adobe's Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool.
Sometimes - for whatever reasons - CC doesn't "want" to work. In this case you should CC completely delete and reinstall by help of Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool. (A try to uninstall by own resources is not enough!)

SUBMIT button works only when clicked twice... Online interactive form

Hi,
I have created a interactive form with SubmitToSAP button. In this I will enter a contract number and will click SUBMIT button.
For the first time it is fetching the contract details properly.
In the same form, i am changing the previously entered value with another contract number and clicking SUBMIT.
Now the details for the previously entered contract number is only displayed. Again if i try for the same value ( which i used for the second time ) and press submit, it is workin correctly.
So, the problem is, except for the very first time SUBMIT button action, the button works fine only when clicked twice..
please help me in solving this issue..

In addition to my previous post, I am also using RESET FORM button from Library.
First I am entering the contract number (say 400000000) in the form and clicking submit button. The contract details are fetched and displayed in the form.
Now i am Resetting the form using Reset Button, and giving new contract number (say 400000020). When I pressed Submit button , the details of the first entered contract number (400000000) is coming.
Then again I am giving 400000020 or any other number, it is fetching the details correctly for that number...
Can anyone help me in this issue..

You do not have to have an Apple TV, but you should have an AirPlay capable speaker on your network.

If I set up the ICloud, does that mean that all of my songs will be stored in Icloud? can I delete the library from my PC and only choose what playlists I want on PC?

Do I need to keep the library on my PC or can I download whatever playlists I want stored on the device at that time.
Example: I have almost 1G of Christmas Music - because it is on my PC in my llibrary they sync to my ipod touch every time - i really want those stored somewhere else so they do not sync [or take space on my pc] with exception to one month per year.
I am thinking I can create space on my PC and Touch by storing songs on icloud that i do not listen to regularly; I am also thinking I can request songs by playlist to download to my touch or PC

My password lock cannot be turned off (button is greyed out and does not react) and I cannot set to "simple" password (4 digits) for the same reason (button greyed out)

Today, I got a message from my iphone 4 telling me that my password was expired and that I had to change it.

Have a work Exchange account on your phone? These policies can be enforced by a profile installed on your phone. There is nothing you can do to change this except delete the Exchange account.

Great answer, and it led me to where to solve the problem. In the field definition screen there is a category drop down list. If you choose something other than none from the category drop down list then that field won't appear in the list of fields when you attempt to batch import a group of files.

How do I make my next button (click box) dependent on other actions?

I have 5 click boxes on one slide, where each reveal certain text. I want all to be clicked before my manually created next button (an image + click box going to next slide) appears.
I want to create a condition saying click boxes 1 - 5 must all be clicked before the next button appears. How can I do this? Thanks.

You're going to run into some issues trying to do this with click boxes because by default as soon as you click one of them it releases the timeline pause and the project will continue to play. There is a work around for this that involves some fancy Advanced Actions to rewind the playhead slightly so that you jump back before the pause point again, but I actually prefer to do this sort of thing another way.
I use Event Handler widgets to register the clicks on some other object such as a caption or highlight box or image. I can set the widget preferences to Disable Continue and Reset Success Fail Criteria After Action. This allows my users to click away on the objects forever if they want without releasing the playhead. Best of all it only takes seconds to set this up. Doing something similar with Advanced Actions requires you to build extra clauses into other actions you need, and then sometimes you run into issues with the clickboxes not resetting their success/fail criteria unless you re-enter the slide.
Whichever way you go, you're going to need to first Hide the navigation button on the slide (set its Visibility to unchecked) and set up some user variables (one for each object where you want the user click to be tracked) with initial values set to 0.
You also need five Conditional Advanced Actions (one for each object) that have two sections. The first part assigns the relevant user variable to 1 when its object gets clicked, and then it moves to the second part which looks for a condition where all of these tracking variables are set to 1, and if it find this, then it Unhides the button that allows the user to jump to the next slide.
Set each interactive object (widget or click box) to execute their relevant conditional advanced action when clicked.
That should do it for you.

Can you save your own theme and button set up, so I can use this same format for similar content. I want to keep the button content and the theme the same without having to create it everytime? I am trying to streamline the process for multiple dvd's with the same menu and buttons but different content. Does that make sense?

I am only new to this caper too, but I am pretty sure you can save a theme as a favourite by pressing the "save theme as favourite" button under file. If you have edited an existing theme but don't want to lose it, make sure you untick the replace existing button.

Sccm 2012 Only two actions on cleints actions can not find any errors

We have deployed sccm 2012 sp1 with cu2
everything was working ok then it all suddenly it stopped working for new client's . The client installs ok but there are only two action in on the client actions. Clients find the site code ok and logs look ok as far as we can tell
We did move are dns from windows hosted dns to a third part appliance around the same time but all cleitns still have vlid dns entries . the managmeopt point is still in the underscore records in dns
we have checked ClientLocation.log, LocationServices.log, ClientIDManagerStartup.log and ccmexec.log and there are no errors we can see.
the sccm console reports all services as green
We are running with PKi all certs are still valid and new clients are still receiving valid certficates
any ideas or pointers?

see if you have any these errors

Is ProPhoto.icm's permissions suppose to be set to Read Only in CS2/OS X?

I went rummaging around Application Support>Adobe>Color>Profiles and found ProPhoto.icm is set to Read Only as seen in the Get Info Window in CS2 OS 10.3.9.
All the other profiles in this folder are set to Read and Write as are the rest of the Colorsync profiles in the system. Colorsync Utility's Profile First Aid reports ProPhoto needs fixing reporting "Header white point is not D50". Of course it can't fix it because it reports it is locked.
Is there a reason it's locked or is this a repair permission issue?
The only way for me to make ProPhoto Read and Write is to drag a copy to the desktop and change it in the Get Info Window. It's grayed out when it's in the Application Support folder.
I'm using a third party RAW converter-(Raw Developer) with ProPhoto set as my output space and I'm wondering if this permission setting is causing it to randomly crash.

Ok - I understand now, but I'm not able to duplicate this behavior. When I create a group web calendar that anyone can view but only group members can edit, clicking on a time block (to create a new event) opens a login window. I noted that while it does appear to create an event, but when I navigate away from, then back to the web calendar, that event is no longer there. Also, it doesn't show up in the 'Upcoming Events' sidebar on the Wiki's home page.
If I double-click on an existing event, the event opens as if it's going to allow me to edit it. But once I click the 'OK' button, a login window opens. Still, it seems as if I was able to edit the event...until I navigate away, then back to the web calendar page. Then all changes are gone. So it does give the illusion that events can be created/edited by non-group members.
By any chance, are you logged in as a non-group member when you try to create/edit a calendar event, and are these users included in the list of those that can create Wiki's in Server Admin?
BTW: I'm not using Sunbird.

My shared files are all set as read only. How do I sort this out?

I am trying to set up our iMac and MacBook so that they share files.
In System Preferences/Sharing I have set the File sharing to ON, I have selected which folders are to be shared and I have set it so that everyone can read and write the files.
In the iMac files when you check various properties NONE are set as read only, however, when the files are access from the MacBook they are all READ ONLY.
What am I doing wrong and how do I sort this out so that I can access files from either computer and amend and save them without having to change file names?

I have had similar problems and have given up trying to use the "everyone" user setting. Instead, to give shared access to a folder I add specific users and then set their access level. To add users to a folders sharing profile click on the [+] button at the bottom of the Users column.

Stop button sets everything to default

Hi everybody,
I have a vi with too many switches (ON/OFF) and I would like for them to be set to the default value (OFF in my case) each time the vi stops by pressing the STOP button.
I tried to use local variables in a case structure after the stop button but I have only one while loop running and it seems that the vi does not have any time to write to the local variables before it stops running. Although the local variable or property node solution would require too many of the variables to be in this case structure.
Is there a way to reinitilize everything to default when the vi stops running?

Yes, with an "invoke node", see this recent thread.
In your case, you would placen it inside the stop event, or outside the main loop. Ensure that it executes as last step, (either with data dependency or a sequence frame or similar).
If you use events, you can make it even happen if the user closes the VI by clicking on the big X.

I'm not affiliated w/ the developer, just a happy user that gave up fighting the apple podcast app a while ago. I used to have a bunch of smart playlists in itunes for my podcasts, and come home every day and pathologically synced my phone as soon as I walked in the door, and again before I walked out the door in the morning.
Since my wife was doing this too, we were fighting over who's turn it was to sync their phone.
Since I've switched to Downcast, I no longer worry about syncing my phone to itunes at all. I can go weeks between syncs.
Setup a "playlist" in downcast (ex., "Commute") and add podcasts to that playlist. Add another playlist ("walk" or "workout") and add different podcasts to that one.
Set podcast priorities on a per-feed basis (ex., high priority for some daily news feeds, medium priority for some favorite podcasts, lower priority for other stuff). Downcast will play the things in the priority you specify, and within that priority, it will play in date order (oldest to newest).
Allegedly, it will also sync your play status to other devices, although that is not a feature I currently use and can't vouch for. It uses apple's iCloud APIs, so to some extent may be limited by what Apple's APIs can do.
