BUTTONS IN A TABLE

Hi Experts,
Could you please provide me the info about how to insert two buttons in a single table column( this is just a normal table).
Thanks in Advance,
Mirza.

Hi Miraz,
Where do you want to insert the butttons?either in cells of a column or tool bar of the table.
If you want to insert butons in the tool bar of table
Right click on table UI element then select Insert toolbar.Now you can add as many buttons as you want to toolbar.
If  you want buttons in your cells of a column you can do in 2 ways.
1.While you are creting binding to the context a pop up come there you will select context node and the next field is type of UI element(Cell editor) usaully we select as a Text View, now instead text view select button.
    (or)
Go to the layout select table and right click on text view of column then select remove cell editor.Now right click on Column to insert new cell editor i.e buton.

  • Calling a method in a bean when i clcked on the radio button of a table

    Hi,
    I need to call a method in the bean when i clicked on the radio button of a table
    I tried it , by callling the method in selectionListener..
    I can able to execute only System.out.prinln method,
    rather than that i am unable to execute any other expression..
    like setting rendering property to a component.
    Thanks in advance,

    Hi,
    what you say is not true. You can execute any code within a selection listener you want. If you can print then it shows the method s called and you can execute whatever you want within this method

  • How to find out the source of an event fired by button in a table in WD?

    Hi experts,
    I'm new to Web Dynpro and I need to know how to find out the source of an event (IWDCustomEvent) fired by a button in a table? I need to know which one is the clicked button (on which row)?
    Help will be appreciated
    Regards

    Hi GLM,
    thanks for your reply. Yes I know about that but when a round trip to the server is made the lead selection is at the first row of the table and when i click the button on, for example, the 3rd row the getLeadSelection method returns 1 and the color marker for the current row stays on the first row. So I need to click first somewhere else on the 3rd row and then on the button in order to update the value of lead selection and it's not very nice. So if you have some other idea it would be very helpful. Or perhaps some workaround.

  • Radio Button in a table

    Hi ,
    My requirement is to have a radio button in a table .
    scenerio : i have 3 coloumns in a table as shown below
    From Date      To Date            Select
    Select coloumn is a radio button . i made that coloumn to a radio button in table not in SALV .
    Now , data will be fetched from the DB for first two coloumns and where the difference of FROMDATE AND TODATE will be greater or equal to 5 only those rows should have a active radio button which can be clicked .
    Other rows should have disabled radio button.
    Moreover , User can select only one radio button at a time .
    if it can be possible with SALV , suggest me that option as well.
    Thanks.

    Hello,
    find the steps to achieve your requirement with normal table UI element. I'm not sure whether the same will work for alv. I expect it to work
    1. Create one boolean attribute in the Table Context node to indicate whether the radio button should be enabled or not (Attribute name : say RB_ENABLED). Populate the value of this attribute based on your From_Date DIF TO_DATE >= 5.
    2. Create a string attribute in the table context node to indicate the value for the radio button (Attribute Name: say RB_VALUE)
    Populate the Value of this attribute like for first record say FIRST and second record say SECOND. Or if you have unique Id for each row then you populate the same here.
    This attribute is required to identiy which radio button is selected by the user
    3. Create a context node (say RB_SELECTED) of cardinality 1..1 and an attribute of type string (say RB_SELECTED)
    4. In the table ui element, create a Radio button column and bind the following
    enabled property to RB_ENABLED attribute
    KeyToSElect to RB_VALUE attribute
    SElectedKEy to RB_SELECTED.
    So at runtime whenever the user selects a radio button, the correpsonding value will be set in the RB_SELECTED attribute. example if the user selects the radio button in the first row, the value 'FIRST' will be populated in the RB_SELECTED attribute.

    Hi,
    If you want to create Some custom buttons in ALV, you need to write some coding.
    Please go through this...
    ALV with user-defined buttons on toolbar in wd abap
    Re: Adding custom button in standard toolbar in ALV
    If you want to create button is table toolbar. steps :
    1. create TABLE UI Element in view - go to ROOT UI ELEMENT CONTAINER( right side here you find inserted Table ) - Right click on that ->you fined one option INSERT TOOLBAR, click this-> it will insert Toolbar again right click on this tool bar-> You wil find insert
    toolbar element->select Toolbar button. It will insert toolbar and buttons.

  • Push button column in table control

    Hi,
    I have to add a few push button columns into table control. This columns has to be placed between fields of DDic table. How to do this? Shall I create new DDic structure with all the needed fields  from DDic table and add also fields for push button columns? Which data element shal I use in this case for push button field? Or is the better solution to add DDic table fields one by one and then using drag and drop technique to add push button column behind it?
    Thanks.

    Hi ,
        Your Last option is better first add columns into DDIC table then  Drag and
    Drop it on table control .
      That will better definitely.................................
    if useful rewards the point..............

  • Dynamically  adding a button to a table

    Hi everybody. What I'm trying to do is to render (or to set visible) a button in a table depending on a property value.
    I've created a boolean property on a page bean and defined the get method like this:
    private boolean existente;
    * Getter para propiedad existente.
    * @return Valor de la propiedad existente.
    public boolean isExistente() {
    try {
    TableRowDataProvider rowdata = (TableRowDataProvider) getBean("currentRow");
    String value = (String) rowdata.getValue("ContactoCargo.idContactoCargo");
    getContactoRowSet().setObject(1, value);
    getContactoRowSet().execute();
    if(getContactoRowSet().size()>0)
    return existente = false;
    else
    return existente = true;
    } catch (Exception e) {
    error(e.getMessage());
    return false;
    Then I bind the rendered (or the visible) property to the "existente" property, and in the properties window it looks like #{Page1.existente}.
    The thing is that when I deploy, no button is rendered nor visible. And when I try to debug it, it seems that it never executes the "isExistente()" function, it doesn't stop there.
    Any idea in how to do this?
    I've already done it with check buttons and it worked fine, binding the "selected" property.
    Any help would be really apreciated. Thanks.

    Can you not use the Disabled property on the Button, and call isDisabled() in your code?
    f you need to create your own page bean boolean property, it is recommended that this be done via the IDE. That way the Get and Set methods are automatically generated and you app is automatically aware of the properties' existence. From the Online Help:
    Creating a Bean Property
    To create a Bean property for a managed bean:
    In the Projects window, right-click the node for the managed bean. You can select the Session Bean, Request Bean, or Application Bean node.
    For example, to add a property to a Request Bean, right-click the project-name > Request Bean node.
    From the pop-up menu, choose Add > Property or Add > Indexed Property.
    Either the New Property Pattern dialog box or the New Indexed Pattern dialog box appears, enabling you to customize the code to be generated for the property.
    Click OK to generate the property and the property's methods for the selected managed bean.
    To see the nodes added for the property in the Projects window, expand the class under the node, and then expand the Fields node to see the property itself and expand the Methods node to see the methods created for the property. For example, for the Request Bean, expand project-name > Request Bean > RequestBean1 > Methods to see the methods added for the new property.
    To create a Bean property for a generic bean:
    In the Projects window, find the class for your bean, expand its node, and right-click Bean Patterns.
    From the pop-up menu, choose Add > Property or Add > Indexed Property.
    Either the New Property Pattern dialog box or the New Indexed Pattern dialog box appears, enabling you to customize the code to be generated for the property.
    Click OK to generate the component property methods for the selected class.

  • Radio button in a Table -Only one row/radio button selection to be possible

    Hi experts,
    I have a requirement from customer to have a radio button inside a table of a WebDynpro ABAP application. For example, a table containing list of mobile numbers.
    The columns has
    Mobile Model, Cost, Company name, and a radio button named choice.
    Only one record and hence one radio button can be chosen at a given time.
    When the user clicks on the radio button choice corresponding to the row of the mobile of his choice, the row should get lead selected .
    When the user chooses a different choice radio button (corresponding to another mobile) the old radio button choice should get deselected, new row and its radio button should be lead selected.
    Can you give me the code how to deselect the remaining radio buttons when a user selects on one Radio button

    Hi Sandeep ,
    Have a look at the events of table UI element and its paramaters , Here's the link.
    [Link|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp1/helpdata/en/2d/390e422dfcde2ce10000000a1550b0/content.htm]
    The event 'Onselect' or 'OnLeadSelect' provides 4 standard paramaters , out of which , OLD_LEAD_SELECTION/OLD_ROW_ELEMENT is one of them.
    So you could use this element and set the attribute value (Which is bound to the radio button) to abap_false.
    Although I am not sure as to which event ight trigger ( ON_LEAD_SELECT / ON_SELECT ).:)
    Thanks,
    Aditya.

    I think it is <2095>.
    In SmartForms, go to your text window.
    Use the icon on the top left of the text window to switch to the old editor.
    INSERT -> CHARACTERS -> SAP ICONS.
    Do a FIND on "radio".  It's called ICON_WD_RADIO_BUTTON_EMPTY.

  • How can I dynamically assign prompt and URI to a button in a table?

    I've got a VO returning document name, link and a status flag. My resultsTable for this VO is currently displaying 3 fields: 2 messageStyledText fields for the document name and link text, and a switcher that shows a checkbox image or red X image depending on the value.
    I now want to put a button into this results table that a user can click to launch a subsequent page where they can fill out those related docs. To do this, I'd like to make the prompt of this button = VO.documentName, the Desitination URI of this button = VO.linkText, and then leave the switcher as is. The result might look somethign like this:
    <Form 838C> X
    <Form 1952> \/
    <Form 1234> X
    In this case, Form 1952 ahs been filled out, the others not. Users should be able to click one of the buttons to launch a subsequent page where they can fill the form.
    I found code to walk through a VO results set using an iterator, you'll see that below. Now, stubbed in these 3 steps below:
    --set button dest
    --set button label
    --determine loop end
    I can't see how to do this. I already have the table, so can I walk through the results set and access the results table at the same time?
