Buttons in an webdynpro application should be static

Hi all,
I have a webdynpro application in an iview in my portal.
I have toolbar buttons on top of this page along with UI content.
As we all know that we get a scroll bar in portal to scrol through the content to go to the end of the page.
The buttons on top cannot be seen while scrolling the page.
Now my question is ,Is it feasable to keep some elements in the webdynpro application to be static .
i.e buttons in a separate frame
  all the rest UI elemenst in another frame which has scrolling.
So the scenario should be the lower part should be scrollable and my buttons should be static and appear everytime.
IS it possible.
If possible ,how to execute this ??
Pls reply this ASAP

In Webdynpro You can use containers.
Add a Transparent Container to you UI and add all your buttons to it, then add another Transparent Container and add the rest of the UI to this Container place the Containers One below the other buy using Grid Layout.

  • Closing a webdynpro application, should call a portal page

    Hi All,
    I have a requirement in which, after a webdynpro application is closed in portal, the portal should show the workset content from which the webdynpro application is triggered.
    For example,
    Wedynpro application Created is  ZWDA1.
    Two iviews are created in portal which refers to the webdynpro application ZWDA1, the portal Iview names are ZPORTAL_IVIEW1, ZPORTAL_IVIEW2.
    Two worksets ZWORKSET1 & ZWORKSET2 are created in portal which refers to Iview ZPORTAL_IVEW1 and ZPORTAL_IVEW2 respectively.
    Two roles ZROLE1 & ZROLES2 are created in portal which refers to workset ZWORKSET1 & ZWORKSET2 resepectively. These two roles are assigned to users ZUSER1 and ZUSER2, when these user logs into portal they will see the content of the  workset ZWORKSET1 & ZWORKSET2 respectively.
    Assuming ZUSER1 and ZUSER2 invokes the portal ivew ZPORTAL_IVEW1 & ZPORTAL_IVEW2, the underlying webdynpro application called is same. So in the webdynpro application only I need to write the code to close the application and call the workset ZWORKSET1 for ZUSER1 and workset ZWORKSET2 FOR ZUSER2. This differentiation I am not able to indentify in webdynpro application, I thought of using relative navigation.
    Any suggestion to achieve this functionality is greatly appreciatable

  • Print button in ABAP WebDynpro

    Hello all,
      The client has requested a 'Print' button in our webdynpro application - ie a simple button that triggers the browser command Ctrl P.
    I have searched the forum, and it seems that this is not possible, because WebDynpro cannot execute browser commands (or indeed, javascript).
    Can someone please suggest a solution - OR - confirm that this functionality is not possible?
    thanks
    Paul
    Note: Note: We do NOT want to use ALV, Adobe or Smartforms. We just want to print what's on the webdynpro screen.

    Micky,
    I thank you for that clear response: It is not possible to print from ABAP WebDynpro.
    > What should that printbutton do?
    We want it to do the same as Ctrl P, which is to print the entire web page. (We don't have frames etc)
    >WD4A is normally intended to be used with Adobe Interactive forms
    This is news to me! Is this an accepted view in the SAP communit... that WebDynpro requires Adobe to achieve full functionality? That is disappointing, to say the least. And a step back from BSP.
    We are building multiple online calculators, and it would be a huge overhead to have to develop (and maintain) an Adobe form for each calculator, simply to enable the user to print the contents of the screen....
    I have read in SDN that you can invoke a browser Print command from Java Webdynpro. A class WDPrintService has been provided.
    Printing in Web Dynpro, finally
    How can it be that this functionality is "not possible" for one flavour of WebDynpro, but plainly available in the other....?
    cheers

  • Calling Webdynpro application from report program

    Hi All,
    I am working with report program which displays ALV grid and if i select a row and click the button in application toolbar it should navigate to webdynpro application.
    This webdynpro application should get loaded with the datas that i ve selected in the ALV output.
    for eg., in alv display
    select carrid connid
    X        10      10
               20      20
    Webdynpro Application
    carrid   10
    connid  10
    Kindly help me in acheving this.

    Hi,
    SET/GET parameters wont work in WD Envoirment, because WDA programs are executed in browser and that doesnt has a connection to SAP GUI.
    You may use the shared memory to transfer work area from the report program, and import the work area agin in the WDA in the WDDOINIT method of the controller where you want to set the fields.
    data: send type string.
    send = 'enter file name here'.
    export send TO shared memory indx(XY)  id 'wda'.
    CALL FUNCTION 'CALL_BROWSER'
    EXPORTING
       URL                          = 'http://SSR11S07.8000/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/ztest_wda1 '.
    And in the WDDOINIT method of the controller, you may import the variable.
    data receive type string.
    import send = receive from shared memory indx(xy) id 'wda'.
    Then you may use the method set_attribute to set the value to respective UI element on the screen.

  • SSO b/w portal and webdynpro application customized login??

    Hi,
    I  have one webdynpro application which has a login screen (Created as Webdynpro view). If user enters user/passord, the same gets checked from a custom table in the db (Method for checking user credtentials has been written in view controller). if user credentials are correct it performs some actions defined in webdynpro application.
    I want to configure SSO b/w portal and this webdynpro application sothat when user logon to the portal and open this webdypro application, Login page of webdynpro application should not be shown i.e user credentials should be passed from portal and corresponding authentication method in webdynpro should be called to authenticate the user.
    How to do the same without touching webdypro application ?
    Can we call a method of webdynpro application from portal?
    Regards
    Deepak

    1) To enable ticket authentication for the web dynpro iviews, you must maintain the definition of the system running the Web Dynpro application and set logon method to "SAPLOG"
    2)Since you have customized login screen, you need to bypass this screen manually when you login from portal.
    Add parameter to the application while defining the iview.Give some constant value.
    Check value of this parameter in webdynpro and fire to next view.

  • How to find out who is logged into portal through webdynpro application

    hi,
    whenever anyone logs in through the portal and runs a webdynpro iview, the webdynpro application should be such that it gives the name of the user logged in.
    Eg, if i logiin and run the webdynpro iview, the application should display that I have logged in.
    how can this be done?
    its urgent.

    add the jar file com.sap.security.api.jar
    IWDClientUser wdUser = null;
    IUser user = null;
    IUserAccount[] acct = null;
      try
         wdUser = WDClientUser.getCurrentUser();
         user = wdUser.getSAPUser();
         if (user!=null)
              acct = user.getUserAccounts();
              if (acct[0] != null)
                   strUserID = acct[0].getLogonUid();
                   wdContext.currentContextElement().setCa_UserId(strUserID);
              else
                   strUserID = "acc is null";
         else
              strUserID = "user is null";

  • How to call WebDynpro application from an external application

    Hi All,
    I have an external application, from which an existing webdynpro application should be accessed.
    Is there any way i can access WebDynpro application through an URL, so that i can access the same from the external application.
    I have to pass a parameter also in the url from extrenal application for which that data should be displayed.
    Thanks
    Supriya

    You can call a web dynpro application from an external app by using the web dynpro application url.
    Go to WD application in studio and look at the properties tab, you will find the url.
    It should be something like this:
    http://<host>:<port>/webdynpro/dispatcher/<namespace>/<dc name>/<application name>

  • Submit Button Adobe Interactive forms in webdynpro application

    Hi All,
    I have a webdynpro requirement which contains only ineractive Fom ( Adobe From).
    In adobe Form i have inserted webdynpro activeex Submit Button.
    When i run my webdynpro application.I am not able click on the submit button and it is not triggering the backend logic.
    Can anybody please let me know how can i solve this issue.
    Thanks,
    Taragini

    Hi Tarangini,
    As how suggested by Thomas ensure that the button type which you are using within your Adobe form matches the "displayType" property that you have specified for the InteractiveForm UI element within your Web Dynpro component. Also specify an event name to be triggered when the user clicks on the Adobe form button. This can be done by specifying a value for onSubmit property of the InteractiveForm. Also ensure that your Adobe form is enabled by having the "enabled" checkbox property of the InteractiveForm checked.
    Regards,

  • How to close a Webdynpro Application with some action, if it is opened with a Tcode

    Hi Experts,
         I am looking to get some info regarding my post over here.
    Scenario 1:
    I opened my webdynpro application in SAP GUI (created a tcode for my webdynpro application and ).
    Now, I have to add some button where I have to write a piece of code to close the GUI screen along with the webdynpro application. (ie, entire Tcode where the webdynpro application is shown, should be closed)
    Please let me know if you have some info on this.
    Scenario 2:
    If the above scenario is not possible, then I wanted to know if I can call some screen in SAP GUI.
    Note: The GUI screen must be called only from the webdynpro application that is opened with a tcode in SAP GUI.

    Hi Praveen,
    The concept what we have observed is When you click on Submit the values were sent to GP. There GP framework takes care of all these. After that when you try to login to Portal and click on GP Inbox and try to open the application, what ever the data that is sent previously will be retrieved.
    Due to some reasons like Delegation and other conecpts where GP will not fit we have scrapped GP and got back to workflow. There we have used the concept of Portal Webservice inorder to send the data to R/3 by clicking on Submit button.
    We have successfully implemented the Adobe Forms Offline Scenario using Portal Webservice.

  • Adding TabPage to (FPM) Standard ABAP Webdynpro Application

    Hi
    i'm beginning with ABAP webdynpro so i have been investigating tutorials and documentation about this and i created some sample programs for show Z tables or things like that.
    But my requirement is modificate the Standard Application 'Course Registration' of Student Lifecycle Management module ; this application has 3 Standard TapPages , one of these TabPages shows the courses to be booked and i need to add another new TabPage in order to show the courses to be booked divided for some criteria in the original TabPage and the new TabPage , the new TabPage must have the same functionality of original Tabpage.  Something like enhance Standard program with Screen Exit and Badis in ABAP.
    I was investigated and now i know we can enhance Standard WD Component like deleting UI elements, enhance methods or add view/windows ;  but the 'Course Registration' is a FPM application so i found a tutorial cookbook configuration for this application and it explains we can add  TabPages (MainViews) or SubTabPages (Subviews) like i need ; but the tutorial only mentions the 3 original standard TabPages because all is related with already existing configurations for each component ;   In FPM framework configuration for the component if i press the 'Add View' button it adds a TabPage like i want, but i really do not know if it works for add a new 'Z' TabPage.
    Can somebody please help me about how can i add a TabPage to Standard Webdynpro Application for application wich uses FPM framework ?  Where can i investigate about this ?
    Excuse me for long thread , any help will be appreciated.
    Best Regards
    Frank

    Thanks Madhu
    Please let me give detail ; I just go to desired Application  PIQ_MBSS_OIF , Configuration PIQAC_MBSS_OIF ;  the configuration shows its two component configurations for Header IDR  (FPM_IDR_COMPONENT)  and floor plan specific (FPM_OIF_COMPONENT).
    In WD Component FMP_OIF_COMPONENT  with standard configuration  PIQCC_MBSS_OIF i see the tree Satndard TabPages created , one of these Tabpage is wich i need to divide in two Tabpages ;  in this Standard TabPage i see its required UIBBs with each standard UIBB configuration (ie.  FPM_LIST_UIBB with configuration PIQCC_MBSS_BCART_LIST  for the table list).
    Here is where i really do not know if my requirement can be made by just using FPM framework configurations :  can i copy Standard Configuration for  FMP_OIF_COMPONENT  , add the new Tabpage , save it with new 'Z' configuration , and it will work ok in the Standard Application ?       For add the Tabpage i should then add configurations for the UIBBs wich compose the TabPage (FPM_LIST_UIBB , FPM_TABBED_UIBB and  PIQUIBB_POPUP_AGENT ) ,  is this right ?
    I hope the explanation is clear ; any orientation will be helpfull.
    Best  Regards
    Frank

  • Webdynpro application not functioning from Apache Reverse Proxy

    Hi Experts,
    We are currently working on custom webdynpro application, which needs to be exposed to Internet. We are using Apache HTTP Server as a reverse proxy.
    We canable to access URL, but no images are getting displayed and also the application not functioning when we click any button/links.
    Below is the HTTPD file configuration.
    ProxyPass /esampleApp  http://hostname:port/webdynpro/dispatcher/local/esampUI/ESamplingApp
    ProxyPassReverse /esampleApp  http://hostname:port/webdynpro/dispatcher/local/esampUI/ESamplingApp
    When we look into  image URL, which is being called from Apache, we  found out "webdynpro" is missing in the URL.
    Actual URL in Portal Server: (working)
    http://portalhostname:port/webdynpro/resources/local/esampUI/Components/esampling.ui.ESamplingComp/logo.gif
    Apache URL:
    http://Apachehostname:port/resources/local/esampUI/Components/esampling.ui.ESamplingComp/logo.gif
    Please suggest.
    Thanks
    Aravind

    We also had the same issue, but the problem was that instead of http https was getting called.
    This has to do with 2 settings:
    1. Check the reverse proxy re-write URL's again. Note that there will be 2-3 entries one for webdynpro as well.
    2. Open your system definintion in system admin-sys configuration adn check the WAS settings. this should point to the FQDN of the proxy server and not to the R3 server.
