Buttons in the table

Hi Sap Gurus,
I have a normal table with buttons in one column. After clicking a button I need to have an button id and the line of the table witch includes this button. The button id is in the parameter of Event Handler, but I don't know how to check the line number. I found some information on SDN that I can use lead selection. But this is not a perfect solution, because befor clicking the button I need to mark a line in which this button exists. Do you have a better solution?

Rendering Delete button in the table

Hi,
I have created a column in the table and dropped the delete operation in that column.
My case is that whenever the create insert button is clicked a new row is added to the table and only to that row the delete button should be rendered, all the other older rows the delete button should not be rendered.
This is similar to the advanced search option in the adf, when we add fields we will get a delete button at end of each field.
How to implement the same case in the table ?

I have given set property listener to create insert button and named to be 'new', then in the rendering condition of the delete button i gave as #{pageFlowScope['return']=='new'}. so initially the delete button is not rendered in the existing rows in the table but when create insert button is clicked delete button is rendered in all the existing rows and also in the newly created row.
Am not sure whether this is the right approach.

How to add the buttons on the Table maintains genrator

Hello Experts,
I have a table maintains generator, I have to add the sort ascending and sort descending button on the screen. and when user select any one column of that generator and then click on sort ascending or sort descending button, then it has to sort accordingly.

Go to the function group that is generated for your table maintanence and edit it and add buttons to the screen layout and handle then in PAI of that screen.
based on selection sort and display the data.

do you mean 'footer' of table, which used to scroll table contents?
Table footer button is not editable.
Instead you can try buttons in the table tool bar and can swap elements in the table.And also table footer can be set to showfootoer: false.

Help with displaying uploaded document in the table

I have a table that displays documents that are stored in FileNet. Below the table, I have an 'Upload' button that allows users to upload document(s). When I click on the upload button after filling in all the metadata, the file gets uploaded to FileNet, but I do not see the uploaded document displayed in the table. I've tried using the 'Create' operation from the Data Controls, but it only inserts a blank row into the table. What is the best approach to doing this? Thanks.

Please remove the 'Create' button. You should properly use PPR - Partial Page Rendering.
You should make sure the upload file component, the upload button and the table are within the same af:form. Then go to the af:table on your jspx page where you want to display the uploaded file, add the component id of the upload button to the "partialTriggers" of your "af:table", then you should be good to go.
You can find how to properly set PPR from Internet or any Oracle ADF document.

i used bapi to update the changes made in data of table control in modulepool.
like i <b>changed serial number and short text of equipment</b> . <b>now when
i simultaneously go for transaction ie02 i,e equipment change in another session with table control open in other session , and now i changed data of particular equipment number in ie02 , now when i use refresh button in table control that change should be affected. how would be the logic for the refresh button</b>

How can I select a radio button in a table regarding the data in the cells?

Hi everyone
This is the issue: I need to select the RadioButton which is in a table with data related to transfers in the cells next to it, so I need to select the correct radio regarding the data next to it.
This is the whole process: First I go to the Add Recurring Transfer section and select the parameters of the transfer (Accounts, date, amount, months etc), then with VB code I capture those parameters from the page and store them into Global variables for further usage on my E-tester script.
Right after that I need to select the radiobutton regarding the data of the transfer that I already created in order to delete it or modify it (Please see Attachment selectradio1.jpg)
So How can I move along the table and compare each cell with the variables that I created with the transfer information, so when I finish comparing a row cell by cell and if all the comparison match well in that row, I could select the radiobutton of the row.
Note: Second Attachment selectradio2.jpg shows the source code of the table...If you need more info please let me know

Add data to the table in the database with the use of add button

The name of my database is Socrates.
The name of the table in the database is Employees
I want to be able to add data to the database. i am presently working on the add button such that when i enter date into the textfield and press the add button it should automatically register in the table.

Calling a method in a bean when i clcked on the radio button of a table

I need to call a method in the bean when i clicked on the radio button of a table
I tried it , by callling the method in selectionListener..
I can able to execute only System.out.prinln method,
rather than that i am unable to execute any other expression..
like setting rendering property to a component.

Hi,
what you say is not true. You can execute any code within a selection listener you want. If you can print then it shows the method s called and you can execute whatever you want within this method

thanks for your reply. Yes I know about that but when a round trip to the server is made the lead selection is at the first row of the table and when i click the button on, for example, the 3rd row the getLeadSelection method returns 1 and the color marker for the current row stays on the first row. So I need to click first somewhere else on the 3rd row and then on the button in order to update the value of lead selection and it's not very nice. So if you have some other idea it would be very helpful. Or perhaps some workaround.

Instead of adding button in the column header , in the column
add a fixed top cell.
    right click on the column
    Insert FixedTopCell
    Right click on the fixedTopCell
    insert Editor.
   select button.
then button will be only in the top most row.
