Help with displaying uploaded document in the table

I have a table that displays documents that are stored in FileNet. Below the table, I have an 'Upload' button that allows users to upload document(s). When I click on the upload button after filling in all the metadata, the file gets uploaded to FileNet, but I do not see the uploaded document displayed in the table. I've tried using the 'Create' operation from the Data Controls, but it only inserts a blank row into the table. What is the best approach to doing this? Thanks.

Hi there:
Please remove the 'Create' button. You should properly use PPR - Partial Page Rendering.
You should make sure the upload file component, the upload button and the table are within the same af:form. Then go to the af:table on your jspx page where you want to display the uploaded file, add the component id of the upload button to the "partialTriggers" of your "af:table", then you should be good to go.
You can find how to properly set PPR from Internet or any Oracle ADF document.
Please mark my answer as 'Correct' or 'Helpful' if it is to you.
Good luck,
Alex

  • Problem with displaying Date field in the table.

    Hi All,
    I am trying to display data into a table UI Element.
    In that data, i have one DATE type field. While displaying data in DATE field, it will display like this "01.02.2009".
    Now my requirement is if i want to modify that DATE field, it will allow to modify "01.02.2009"  to "26.02.2009".
    But while modifying DATE field , I want to show the Calender of that month, in that i  have to select the another date.
    (Like normal Date UI Element will show that calender).
    Can anyone please help me.
    Thanks in Advance!
    Regards,
    Sreelakshmi.

    Hi,
          Go to the context attribute that was mapped to the DATE field of the table and change the perperty INPUT HELP MODE to  AUTOMATIC and it works.

  • Adobe Reader DC, doesn't disable "Display PDF Document in the web browser" when option is unchecked.

    The option under Accessibility>Setup Assistanct to uncheck the "Display PDF Document in the web browser" doesn't correctly disable Display PDF in browser when unchecked, it still defaults to opening in Internet Explorer even after restarting the browser.  Confirmed this tested agianst with IE 8, 9, 10 and 11 with the same behavior.  Moving back to Reader 11.0.10 and using this same setting works flawlessly.  Anyone else experiencing this issue?

  • Need some help with downloading PDF's from the net.

    need some help with downloading PDF's from the net.  Each time I try to click on a link from a website, if it takes me to a new screen to view a pdf, it just comes up as a blank black screen?  any suggestions?

    Back up all data.
    Triple-click the line of text below to select it, the copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C):
    /Library/Internet Plug-ins
    In the Finder, select
    Go ▹ Go to Folder
    from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-G. Paste into the text box that opens (command-V), then press return.
    From the folder that opens, remove any items that have the letters “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then quit and relaunch Safari, and test.
    The "Silverlight" web plugin distributed by Microsoft can also interfere with PDF display in Safari, so you may need to remove it as well, if it's present.
    If you still have the issue, repeat with this line:
    ~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
    If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari again.

    The History menu can only show that fixed maximum of 15 as that is hard coded.
    Maybe this extension helps:

    If it is a form to be newly developed, it is better to go in for Smartform development since smartforms will automatically handle this problem.
    If you still want to continue using Scripts try to use
    /:  YORGIN
    or
    /: XORIGIN to adjust the height of the Box, if needed.

    For the problem regarding length of the names, try to split the name and show it on two lines
    eg., wrk_name+0(20)   on the first line
    and  wrk_name+20(20) on the second line

  • Issues in displaying upload document link in publisher taskflow

    Hi,
    We are trying to do a feasibility analysis on the upload document feature of publisher taskflow, but are facing issues.
    The Attach : File link is not getting displayed along with the publisher taskflow. The Attach: Link option alone is displayed.
    Below are the steps i did to try out.
    1. Created a new webcenter Portal application using JDEV 11.1.1.6
    2. Created a new JSF file under /pages.
    3. Dragged and dropped a publisher taskflow from Resource Pallete.
    4. Set the username parameter to #{securityContext.userName}
    5. Created an UCM connection in Application resources.
    6. Deployed the ear to server.
    7. Made sure the UCM connection is active in the EAR. (verified through Enterprise Manager)
    8. To make sure the connection is proper, used a document presenter taskflow to display images from UCM in the same page
    On running the application the publisher taskflow and the document presenter with images are getting displayed on the page. But the Attach: File is missing. Only Attach: Link option is available.
    Am i missing any other configuration here?
    Requesting help is solving this issue

    Had to update adf-config.xml to have an try for <doclibC:spaces-repository> as below
    <doclibC:spaces-repository
    spacesRoot=<Name of the Root folder configured in the UCM connection for Spaces in the server>
    adminUserName=<Administrator username mention in the UCM connection for Spaces in the server>
    applicationName=<Name of the application EAR>
    />
    This fix enabled the Attach : File link in the publisher taskflow

  • Help with File Upload manually

    Hi Experts,
    I need code to upload a file without using the upload UI Element. we have our terms and conditions which has to be signed by the user and once the user signs and clicks the next button to go to the next page, I generate a pdf with the time stamp of when the user signed and upload it to ECC. here i can not use the File upload UI Element but have to upload it automatically to ECC.
    Can any one help me out with this please.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    I dont know why you need to to upload the file for this requirement. You can simply store the user id and the timestamp in portal database table or in a ECC z table.
    In case you definitely need to upload the file then you can use KM API to uploadthe file to portal KM folder
    http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/a099a3bd-17ef-2b10-e6ac-9c1ea42af0e9?quicklink=index&overridelayout=true
    but you need not use the upload feature in the example, instead just get the data from wd context and upload to KM.

  • Help with displaying a JTree

    Hi,
    I have developed a webspider that cycles through a website detecting all urls and checking for borken links. I currently have build a JTree that takes the current url that is being processed and creates a string and adds it to a JTree. The problem I have is that the urls are printed in the JTree as one long list, e.g.
    |Test
    |____url 1
    |____url 1a
    |____url 2
    |____url 2a
    I would like it to disply like this:
    |Test
    |____url 1
    |-------|____url 1a
    |____url 2
    |-------|____url 2a
    (I have had to place the dashes in so it displays properly)
    So that the strucutre of the website can be seen. I have read the JTree tutroial and my code looks like this, sorry its large i'm not too sure which bits to cut out:

    I would recomend you create your own JTree class for this.
    Here are a few things I set in my constructor within the JTree:
    // turn on tooltips
    ToolTipManager.sharedInstance().registerComponent(this);
    // used by two setters so create reference
    RollupTreeCellRenderer renderer = new RollupTreeCellRenderer();
    // customizing the icons for the tree
    // setting the folder icons
    renderer.setOpenIcon(IconLoader.getIcon("Open.gif"));
    renderer.setClosedIcon(IconLoader.getIcon("Folder.gif"));
    // inventory icon
    renderer.setLeafIcon(IconLoader.getIcon("Document.gif"));
    // add renderer to highlight Inventory nodes with Red or Blue text
    setCellRenderer(renderer);
    Here is the renderer class example:
    class RollupTreeCellRenderer
    extends DefaultTreeCellRenderer
    * Configures the renderer based on the passed in components.
    * The value is set from messaging the tree with
    * <code>convertValueToText</code>, which ultimately invokes
    * <code>toString</code> on <code>value</code>.
    * The foreground color is set based on the selection and the icon
    * is set based on on leaf and expanded.
    * @param tree JTree
    * @param value Object
    * @param sel boolean
    * @param expanded boolean
    * @param leaf boolean
    * @param row int
    * @param hasFocus boolean
    * @return Component
    public Component getTreeCellRendererComponent(JTree tree, Object value,
    boolean sel,
    boolean expanded,
    boolean leaf, int row,
    boolean hasFocus)
    // call super for default behavior
    super.getTreeCellRendererComponent(tree,
    value,
    sel,
    expanded,
    leaf,
    row,
    hasFocus);
    // if the current node is selected do NOT over-ride
    // the default colors
    if (sel)
    return this;
    // cast to our wrapper Node class
    RollupNode node = (RollupNode) value;
    if (node.isInventory())
    if (RollupMediator.getInstance().nodeInList(node))
    setForeground(RollupTree.FOUND);
    setToolTipText("Click to find positions count");
    else
    setForeground(RollupTree.NOT_FOUND);
    setToolTipText("Inventory not in current business date");
    else
    setToolTipText("Double click to edit name");
    return this;
    } // Renderer
    Let me know if you need more examples.
    BTW
    I the TreeCellRenderer example is not public so I can add it to the bottom of the file that contains my custom JTree.

  • Attributes...Help with displaying File Type Icons

    I have a document area folder(s) that content managers can
    upload files into. I know that they can place an image with
    these files by using the secondary tab, BUT, my question is
    this....
    Is there a way to have the portal identify what type of file
    this is and associate an image to it to display just like
    the "NEW" icon does....ie....when they load a word document, the
    word icon will be displayed next to the title.
    This would get rid of having to upload the image with every file
    (Which there are many) and save space within the database as
    these images are stored with in each record.
    Please let me know if this is possible and if anyone has any
    suggestions.
    PS...running 308 at this time.

    OK...I figured it out a couple different ways.
    First way I did it was to create perspectives for each file type
    ie word, excel Power Point etc. You can then just add the
    perspective when adding files to the document area.
    BUT, this also isn't automated and can be if you want to.
    Simply write a trigger(s) to do this for you. Wrote one this
    afternoon and it work flawlessly. Now when users add a file to
    the document area, a nice little ICON displays next to the file
    name.
    If anyone else has a different more efficient way, please pass
    it on.
    Thanks

  • Can't upload documents to the cloud

    I am trying to upload some documents to the cloud, using reader xi, but every time i do it the progress bar gets to about 90% and then i get an error message telling me there has been an error accessing the service.
    I have also tried uploading via acrobat.com but it just freezes.
    Please help.
    Thanks

    Hi edyuen,
    Are you trying to upload from with Reader or Acrobat? Or are you uploading directly to https://cloud.acrobat.com? What is the exact error message that you're receiving? Have you tried to upload other files? If so, have you met with success, or are they failing, too?
    I look forward to hearing back from you.
    Best,
    Sara

  • Help with display quality (LCD TV)

    I've hooked up my Mac mini to my Samsung 32" LCD TV via HDMI cable.
    The overall quality is just far from desireable and is taking away all of the fun from using this new mac.
    I set the resolution output to 720p, which is what the TV supports. So that's good.
    I played slightly with the Contrast and Brightness on the TV settings.
    But I must be missing something. Although the image is sharp, it's very difficult to read from 6ft away, pictures look terrible (seeing the same picture on a different computer and monitor is so much more revealing), and the display is bad for everything basically.
    Please help with any settings suggestions or perhaps a detailed guideline for my setup.
    I started to configure a color profile on the display settings but the results weren't that great and I reverted to default. Too many subtle changes. My colorblindness probably doesn't help.
    Thanks.

    Thanks for the response.
    It's the latest Mac Mini with 2.5ghz i5, AMD Radeon HD 6630M, and 8GB RAM.
    I am familiar with the "Just Scan" setting under picture size on the Samsung TV.
    I'll look for the digital noise reduction.
    Are there complete guides with recommended settings for different setups? Or maybe even general, that would help me here?
    Thanks.

  • How to display(binding) values in the table from more than one node?

    Hi,
    I have two nodes (TRIPS & AMOUNTS)in the context. How to bind these values into the table control?
    When i bind second one, first one is getting replaced.

    Hi Mog,
    Of course it is possible to create a table from attributes of more than one node, and in some cases this is still necessary, but you have to do this the hard (manual) way.
    If you have a table control, have a look at the properties and the elements belonging to it.
    First of all, there is the property "dataSource", which binds to a multiple node (let's name it TableRootNode). This means that for each element of THIS node, one row is created. In each row the data of exactly one element of this TableRootNode is displayed.
    Then you have columns in this table. Inside of the columns there is a header and an editor. The editor is the interesting part.
    Normally the primary property of this editor is bound to an attribute of the TableRootNode. Then everything works as expected. If it binds to an attribute of a subnode (SUB) of TableRootNode, then in row i the data of the subnode of the i-th element of TableRootNode is displayed. There is no need for SUB to be a multiple node, but it must not be a singleton.
    If you bind a property of the editor to an attribute, which does not lie in the subtree of TableRootNode, then you will see the same value in each row.
    Now it depends on the structure of your context. Take the node, which is relevant for the change in each row (I assume it is TRIPS) and bind the table to the node as you are used to. Then for each additional column, you have to create a new column in the tree, create a new header element with a title and a new editor (e.g. textview or inputfield) and then bind the right property of the editor to the corresponding attribute in node AMOUNTS).
    If these 2 nodes do not have parent-child-relationship, the tip to create a new node, which consists of the attributes of both nodes is the only solution.
    Ciao, Regina
