Buttons on portal reports in 9.0.2

Is it possible to have radio buttons or checkboxes in SQL based portal reports? If so, are you able to execute code when they are selected?

Hi,
You cannot do this with portal reports. You can use dynamic pages to do this. Here is a similar code which input types like text, hidden and buttons. The submit procedure is also available for the code to be executed when submitting.
     <HTML>
     <HEAD>
     <TITLE>Example</TITLE>
     </HEAD>
     <BODY>
     <FORM action="<schema name>.submit_form" method="post">
     <H2>Example of A Dynamic Page</H2>
     <ORACLE>
     begin
     for c1 in (select * from scott.emp )
     loop
     htp.p(c1.empno);
     htp.p(c1.ename);
     htp.p(c1.deptno);
     htp.p(c1.hiredate);
     htp.p(c1.sal);
     htp.p('<input type="hidden" name="p_empno" value='||c1.empno||'>');
     htp.p('<input type="text" name="p_comm">');
     htp.p('<br>');
     end loop;
     htp.p('<input type="submit" name="p_action">');
     end;
     </ORACLE>
     </BODY>
     </FORM>
     </HTML>
     Code for the procedure submit_form
     create or replace procedure submit_form
     p_empno IN wwv_utl_api_types.vc_arr,
     p_comm IN wwv_utl_api_types.vc_arr,
     p_action IN VARCHAR2)
     as
     begin
     for i in 1..p_empno.count loop
     htp.p(p_empno(i));
     update scott.emp
     set comm = p_comm(i)
     where empno = p_empno(i);
     commit;
     end loop;
     exception
     when others then
     null;
     end;
     grant execute on submit_form to public;

  • Adding update and delete buttons to a  Report from SQL Query

    There is an option when creating a QBE to add update and delete
    links which i find quite useful, but this option doesn't seem to
    be possible on a Report from SQL Query. Do i need to do
    something special to add them? is the option located in a
    different place?

    Hi,
    You can only add Update ,Delete in QBE Reports,
    there is no option in Portal which can be used to
    have these buttons in the Reports from Query Wizard or
    Report from SQL Query.
    Thanks

  • Adding buttons to a report

    Can you add a button to a report component (sql based) and add code to call a stored procedure or an application component). (form layout editor tab)

    This thread has been moved from the Oracle9iAS Portal forum to the Oracle9iAS Portal Applications forum. It is unlocked in the Oracle9iAS Portal Applications forum and responses should be posted there.

  • Refresh portal report

    I have a portal report that displays emp info:
    Emp Name ID Dept
    This is displayed as a portlet on a page. The same page has a portal form that allows entries of new employees. When a new employee is entered on the form I would like to refresh the portal report showing the new info. Is this possible?

    Hi,
    We also want that a report which is in a portlet should get refreshed either automatically or atleast when the user click on the refresh button in the browser, but as per our observation it is not happening.
    If some body has a clue please let us know.
    As a workaround, instead of pasting the report in the portlet, we have provided a link (with the help of menu) in the portlet. so whenever a user clicks on the link, the report get displayed with the latest data.

  • Hiding refresh button in Webi Report

    Hello experts,
    I would like to hide 'refresh' button on webi report in XI 3.1. One way to do this is using rights which I don't intend to use at this stage.
    Do we have any other way out to do this task?
    Many thanks in advance
    Regards,
    John

    Options:
    a) roll your own viewer/portal  - probably the safest bet, although a bit unwieldy if Infoview works fine and you only want to make this specific change
    b) make changes to Infoview's javascript files that render the toolbar buttons - entirely unsupported by SAP as well as a maintenance headache during upgrades
    c) ...revisit your reasons for not being able to disable refresh of the report to users - surely there's a security matrix that satisfies your requirement.  If there isn't (meaning that, for whatever reason you need these users to refresh against this content area in normal scenarios but want it disabled for this portion of your workflow) - then there are kludgy "work arounds" like adding/removing the user to/from a "no refresh" group you've created in the CMC,  programmatically, when running the report(s)
    good luck

  • Printing Portal Reports

    Does anyone have a deployed method of having a "Print" button once a report is displayed from Portal? Maybe such as a javascript that send the report to users local printer.
    Would like to have documents stored in portal, query, display as report then option to "print" hard copy.

  • Control User Specific button in ALV report

    Hi,
    Can anybody please suggest me how to control "USER SPECIFIC" button in ALV report layout using authorization object. I mean if you can tell me which authorization object is responsible to control the "USER SPECIFIC" button.

    additional info to what Lakshmi already said:-
    normally the restrictions for saving layouts/display variants are done at 2 levels:
    1) The developer of an ALV list first predetermines the authorization in the 'i_save' parameter within the code.
    I_SAVE = ' '     -
    layouts cannot be saved
    I_SAVE = 'A'   -
    user-specific and cross-user layouts can be saved
    I_SAVE = 'X'   --- cross-user layouts can be saved
    I_SAVE = 'U'  ---  user-specific layouts can be saved
    2) The second level comes to us restriciting the S_ALV_LAYO which gives access to users to save global layouts if I_SAVE for that particular transaction is A or X.
    for example, a report has I_SAVE= 'A', which means
    it will allow to save  User-specific  layouts without any restrictions.
    and if user has S_ALV_LAYO then he can save both User-Specific and Global Layouts(variants).
    it would be better to keep this object separate.

  • Add buttons in ALV Report output

    Dear Friends,

      But my additional requirement is ADD coustomise buttons in ALV Reports.
    Please give me an idea how can I insert buttons in my alv report?
    Thanks & Regards
    Vasu

    Hi vasu,
    consider the code given below.
          FORM F4200_PF_STATUS_SET                                      *
    FORM f4200_pf_status_set USING i_extab TYPE slis_t_extab.
      REFRESH i_extab.
      PERFORM f4210_exclude_fcodes CHANGING i_extab.
    The PF status is an exact copy of the PF status 'STANDARD' of program
    SAPLSALV but with command 'CHNG' added to it.
      SET PF-STATUS 'ZSOM_STANDARD' EXCLUDING i_extab.
    ENDFORM.
    *&      Form  f4210_exclude_fcodes
    FORM f4210_exclude_fcodes USING i_extab TYPE slis_t_extab.
      DATA: ws_fcode TYPE slis_extab.
      CLEAR ws_fcode.
      ws_fcode = '&EB9'.            " Call up Report.
      APPEND ws_fcode TO i_extab.
      ws_fcode = '&ABC'.            " ABC Analysis.
      APPEND ws_fcode TO i_extab.
      ws_fcode = '&NFO'.            " Info Select.
      APPEND ws_fcode TO i_extab.
      ws_fcode = '&LFO'.            " Information.
      APPEND ws_fcode TO i_extab.
    ENDFORM.                    " f4210_exclude_fcodes
    *&      Form  f4300_user_command
    FORM f4300_user_command USING ucomm LIKE sy-ucomm
                                             selfield TYPE slis_selfield.
      CASE ucomm.
        WHEN '&IC1'.                              "Double Click line Item
          READ TABLE i_data INDEX selfield-tabindex.
          IF i_data-qmnum NE space.
            SET PARAMETER ID 'IQM' FIELD i_data-qmnum.
            CALL TRANSACTION 'IW52' AND SKIP FIRST SCREEN.
            CLEAR ucomm.
          ENDIF.
        WHEN 'CHNG'.                          " Change Notification Icon
          READ TABLE i_data INDEX selfield-tabindex.
          IF i_data-qmnum NE space.
            SET PARAMETER ID 'IQM' FIELD i_data-qmnum.
            CALL TRANSACTION 'IW52' AND SKIP FIRST SCREEN.
          CLEAR ucomm.
          ENDIF.
      ENDCASE.
      CLEAR ucomm.
    ENDFORM.                    " f4300_user_command
    EXPLANATION
    In this program, first we created a PF status (ZSOM_STANDARD), which was an exact copy of STANDARD of program SAPLSALV through transaction SE41 (Menu Painter). Then we added another button to it,with a new fcode called ‘CHNG’.  After this this we set this PF status instead of STANADRD.
    We initialize a third event USER_COMMAND and associate a form with it. In this form we can capture the function codes and write any functionality under it. If we write functionality for an existing fcode, then this gets precedence over the default functionality that might be associated with it.
    In this example, we capture a standard fcode ‘&IC1’ that is nothing but double clicking a line of the report.  We are capturing the notification number of that line and calling transaction IW52 with it. We are also doing the same when a user clicks on the new ‘Change Notification’ button.
    When the user clicks the “Back’ button in IW52, it comes back to the report.
    Please reward for the same.

  • In popup step how do I get the "text on the button" in the report rather than button index?

    (1)
    How do I configure the POPUP step in "SEQ MAIN.seq" to execute the second
    step (IS OUT PUT IS 20?) in "SEQ 1.seq" when "IS OUT PUT IS 20?" button
    hit and execute the third step (IS OUT PUT IS 30?) in "SEQ 1.seq" when "IS
    OUT PUT IS 30?" button hit.

    The handle to the Step.Button1Label gets you the data, but there are several ways to get it into the actual report.
    The easiest is to use the reporttext.
    In a post expression, you can use something like
    Step.Result.ReportText = Evaluate("Step.Button" + Str(Step.Result.ButtonHit) +"Label")
    and then the default report generation will include it in the report. Otherwise, you need to get the text into the Resultlist by various means (check the user manual, or the TestStand II customisation course) and handle the report generation yourself inside of the appropriate sequence in the process model.

  • Button in Interactive Report

    Hi Friends,
    I want to add Button in Interactive report for each row. Is it possible to add a button.Please help me.

    You should add a dummy column in your report query. Make dummy column as a link and change the column attribute 'Column Link' to and image. For instance the Edit column in the following query is a button on my report.
    select
    'Edit',
    "CUST_NO",
    "CUST_FIRST_NAME",
    "CUST_LAST_NAME",
    "CUST_ADDRESS",
    "CUST_CONTACT_PHONE_NO"
    from "CUSTOMER"
