Hi Expert,
Client requirement is like this
Client procure "Article-ABC"from different vendors like Vendor 1, vendor 2, Vendor 3
and client do the sale to his customers
now client want to know how much "Article-ABC" sold from with respect to vendor1, and vendor 2 , vendor 3
Note:-
1) client raise @ 50 PO everyday to different different vendor
2) and each PO contain minimum 300 to 500 different- different Articles
if we generate the batch for each Articlel w.r.t vendor then @ 25000 batches will be generate everyday
please suggest
Edited by: Hanumant Nimbalkar on Jun 23, 2009 2:16 PMDear Hanumant,
You have to use Consulting Skills here; Vendor identify looses as soon as GRN done.
Option No. 1 : Since you are using SAP IS Retail, you can use Vendor Consignment to track Vendor wise sales
Option No. 2: You can develop customized report using following (suggested) logic;
(a) Vendor A - Article A - EAN Code 1
(b) Vendor B - Article A - EAN Code 2
(c) Vendor C - Article A - EAN Code 3
Since, Sales are happening through POS using EAN Code, you can extract all relevant information including EAN Code from POS System.
I hope this will suffice.

Freight Calculation while posting GR in MIGO
Hi Experts,
The following is the scenario :-
A Purchase Order is raised for procuring coal from the coal supplier. A freight condition is maintained in the Pricing Schema of the Coal Purchase Order. At the time of making a GR in MIGO a freight vendor is selected against the freight condition in the freight tab of the GR screen.
While doing MIRO we select the Purchase Order and Planned Delivery Cost, a pop up window populates the names of the coal supplier and transporter. On selection of the transporter the freight value is displayed and the freight invoice can be processed.
This is a normal scenario, but there is a penalty clause, that the transporter is allowed 0.5% tolerance on the weight of the coal supplied. Meaning if the Purchase Order is for 100 tonnes @ Rs. 10 per tonne, then the vendor has to supply atleast 99.5 tonnes to avoid penalty. Now suppose the vendor supplies only 90 tonnes of coal out of the 100 tonnes. He will be charged a penalty of 10 tonnes as follows :-
(10 tonnes x Rs. 10 per tonne) x 1.5 = Rs. 150/-.
Rs. 150/- will be deducted as penalty from the freight amount to be paid for 90 tonnes delivered.
The client wants that the system should automatically calculate the penalty and deduct the same from the freight amount at the time of posting the goods receipt so that the amount to be paid only is populated in the miro for invoice processing and the actual value of the freight paid is charged to the stock account.
Please suggest a BADI or user exit with which this can be done.
If it is not possible at the time of MIGO is there any user exit to automate this at the time of MIRO.
Thanks in advance.
AJHi AJ,
Your requirement is very genuine, but system has its own limitations.
Suppose you have raised a PO for coal of 100 Ton of material.
And the vendor has supplied you only 50 Ton of material.
Then you make a Goods Receipt for the material (MIGO_PO).
Then while making GR, how can a system judge / calculate the transportation loss?
Secondly, although you have received lesser quantity of material due to transportation losses, still we need to post the quantity written in vendoru2019s invoice into our system, because we need to pay the vendor the amount of total coal dispatched from his location.
So, try to resolve the issue using your consulting skills.

Transfer Posting between plant to plant under 2 company codes
Hello all,
I have 2 company codes 9002 and 2850.
Under 9002 there is a plant 9002 with storage location WHSE.
Under 2850 there is a plant 3105 with storage location WHSE.
Whenever I am moving a material from plant 3105 to 9002, I am getting the following error in the system:
No accts maintained for company code clearing between comp.cds 9002 and 2850.
The system clearly requires a configuration to solve this error. But my doubt is, is there any other way by which I can solve this error without making any new configuration??? My client does not need any configuration but wants this error to be resolved. Is there any way???
Kindly advise.
Thanks and Regards,
Umakanth. This is absolutely a SAP standard error which can be easily solved by FI guys.
Though I dont remember the transaction code now but it becomes necessary to maintain clearing accounts between two company codes for accounting consistency.
Please convince your client and get it done from FI guys. You will have to show your consulting skills here. -
Web Dynpro UI for HAP_DOCUMENT BSP
Hi
Can anyone let me know if there is a Web Dynpro UI for the HAP_DOCUMENT BSP? I've seen some other posts in this regard but none have any specific answers.
I would also like to know the best approach to take to develop a new UI for this BSP?
RegardsHi,
There is no Web Dynpro based HAP_DOCUMENT application available from SAP.
The BSP UI is quite cluttered but u can minimize it by configuration. More simple the template is, better look and feel. Thats the most u can do here.
Developing new UI for HAP_DOCUMENT is not simple. U have to understand that the layout highly depends on the template and BADIs included in the template.
I would say, use your consulting skills and sell BSP based application rather than getting into WD based developemnt. Even if u have to develop, easier option would be WDA .. than WDJ.
Cheers!!

HI,
SAP PPM 5.0
In project definition, System shows name of project elements on left side of screen as SAP standard and the number on the left hand side.
is there a possiblity to move the project name field on right hand side?
your sugesstions are most welcome
Thanks,
PrabuHi,
No, most likely not a good idea.
Try to use SAP standard here and spend development resources on more important issues. This is a typical "cosmetic" change and certainly doesn't lower the TCO in the long run.
My two cents based on daily working with SAP software since 1994. I have heard this some many times... An important consultant skill is to say NO politely but firmly. This is such a case.

Scenario Freight to part of finish inventory
Hi Sapians
Finish material is on standard price. Some cost of services of stores will be posted on a cost center. I want to charge this cost on products.
Following are not activated;
No material ledger
No COPA
NO PCA
regardswould like to know few things
is the freight part of you material invoice or it is paied to some other vendor other than PO vendor
If its a part of ur mateorl invoice are any taxes geting calculated on this freight value
In first case u dont have to put that freight value in material Po create other freight Po and pay that vendor saperately
IF its a part of material vendor and tax are calcuted on it then its difficut to keep freight out of material cost
If its a part of materia invoice and tax are not geting calculated than also in std sap u can avoide it in adding in materioa cost
u will have to use user exit J_1I7_USEREXIT_IMPORT_INV_DUTY in reverse way. Or may be some other user exit. i dont know how the things will go but u can try.
Simple use ur consulting skill to convince ur client to add freight cost in inventory.

Reaching skill limit consulting for SMB, keep trying or resign?
I got this SMB client due to a local I.T friend's referral as I guess with her full-time job, etc she couldn't help the owner. He was sick of the contract company he had hired, and they messed up a server upgrade so that was his reason to leave them.Initialcall tour, find theissue and fix took about an hour. Took a bit to go through things, look at possible issues, compare old and new server. I got it fixed and no issue after that, the owner seemed happy called me back to do some other small jobs setup laptop, WIFI, etc.He offered me the project of running 6 drops, add/setup 4 more clients, upgrade the unmanaged switch to a gigabit version of the Prosafe series.
Now there are random intermittent issues I'm really struggling to isolate down to a source. And am not that familiar with doing cable certifications, dealing with network...
