Mismatch amount in posting & bank report-Payroll
Dear Team,
We using the tcode Pcoo_m99_ cipe (posting to account: create posting run), in simulation, all the employees have shown green. While match the data pc00_m99_cipe & bank report for salary & wage payable miss match around 4000/- only.
Salary & wage payable is higher than bank report around Rs. 4000/-
Kindly suggest how to find out the difference.

In August month you maintained the IT 0015 sty 01 is it deduction wage type ? to deduct the amount which is brought forward from the July month ?
Yes! It is deduction wage type & the same amount entered.
in the august month have done FI postings (pc00_m99_cipe) for this employee or not ?- Yes
In the month of august, we have done the posting, No error found.
new employee confirmation action done in April and salary also increased in IT 0008.
Now the same employee confirmed action process & salary also increased in IT 0008 with effect from April.
i didn't understand the problem mismatch the salary register and posting amount..... please explain with example figures
while cheking the bank report details & FI postings (pc00_m99_cipe) amount are mismatch.
The mismatch amount is the same amount i.e. while analysis found that in FI posting consider the arrear on Basic, HRA, Conv etc. and the amount is same as July.

XL reporter to show zero rather than #Ref for account section with no value
Hi,
Customer is using 2007A PL30. They do not want Profit&Loss and Balance Sheet to show if the account is having zero value.
Eg. Subsection of P&L report
Payroll
Salary 0.00
Bonus 0.00
Casula wages 0.00
Total Payroll 0.00
Office Admin Cost
Courier charges 100.00
License fee 200.00
Total Office Admin 300.00
Total Cost 300.00(0.00+300.00)
Expected result: Do not show anything for Payroll(no figure) but only shows those rows with figure and Total Cost.
After I check the option in XLR\Advanced Report Builder (Do not display blank records), the system cannot display subtotal for Total Cost because Total Payroll is having #Ref. May I know how to overcome this problem?

If I understand the issue then you need to resolve this in Excel. If you have these requirements you will need to write VBA code to make this work the way you want. You can go to http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/xlreporter/ and then go to the Files section and search for Method to exclude zeros.

4. img-payroll-payroll:country - reporting payroll results to accounting -activities in hr system-where you have to create symbolic accounts in which you have to give account assignment as expense account(C) and you post wage type to symbolic account after you assign to the G/L account .
You would create symbolic accounts and assign them to corresponding GL Accounts so that the posting is done in FI.
A symbolic account is a payroll object used when posting wage type data from HR to FI. Wage types are not directly assigned to FI accounts. Symbolic accounts indicate to what accounts the payroll expenses should post. Symbolic accounts ensure that the account determination of the payroll wage type data takes place during posting to accounting. The support team should keep the related symbolic accounts with the same account assignments to accommodate posting adjustments for future payroll retrocalculation. In fact, this is a best practice even if the symbolic accounts do not have wage types assigned to them.
It is important for HR to post payroll information accurately to FI accounts. You achieve this using symbolic accounts, which tie HR wage type data to FI accounts. Many people may not realize that you should never delete symbolic accounts, even if they are no longer assigned to a wage type.

3) goto PAYROLL INDIA - REPORTING FOR POSTING PAYROLL RESULTS TO ACCOUNTING - ACTIVITIES IN THE AC SYSTEM - ASSIGNING ACCOUNTS - ASSIGN BALANCE SHEET A/C AND ASSIGN EXPENSE A/C
4) EASY ACCESS - HR - PAYROLL-INDIA - SUBSEQUENT ACTIVITIES - PER PAYROLL PERIOD- EVALUATION - POSTING TO A/C-EXECUTE RUN
The prerequisite for posting is -Enter posting information in Master data and run payroll. After doing that follow this posting process:-
a) Create a document
b) release document ( it asks do u want to release for posting-say post immediately)
c) post document
Though the t.code FB03 you can do completeness check of the document.
Now execute the posting run - a posting run can be performed as a test run without documents / a simulation run / a productive run.
In a simulation and production run the system checks all HR and FI tables and the posting info in master data to determine whether they exist.
In a test run the system checks only the balance of expenses and payables.
Now you chose execute run - next select release post run - now post post run - finally it generates index info.
I have to create a new wage type for additional payments. This has to look at a payroll constant and calculate the amount to be paid. What I would like to know is when I do this do I have to do anything so that the amount in this Wage Type will be posted to FI like create a G/L ? Or will this be posted automatically along with other wage types?
If you are copying wage type xxxx to create your new wage type for additional payment, there is a chance that your posting will take place similar to wage type xxxx.
Rest is pure config in payroll. There is a full section for it. Symbolic accounts...... G/Ls....Accrual A/Cs.... pretty involved stuff. Without a FI guru with you ...I won't advise proceeding forward.
That depends on how you create the wage type. The link is done in some T52E* table, which is for instance copied by PU30. If you create the wage type by creating it directly in T512W (via view V_512W_T), then you will have to do
the link additionally. The standard way to create a wagetype is however to find a corresponding wage type, which has the same (or similar) functionality as the one you want to create and then use PU30 to copy this wage type to the new wage type.
Thereby a lot of tables (I think in the newest, 4.6C, it's around 95 tables) are checked and if needed the entries are copied. Amongst those tables you will also find the ones establishing the links to FI's G/L.
Following comments relate specifically to 3.1H. They may or may not apply to your system.
Normally a new wage type is created by copying an existing wage type, either a model wage type that has some standard attributes, or an existing actual wage type in production use.
Your config changes will need to set up the new wage type so that the amount is derived from your payroll constant. However, the posting to FI will have been copied from the wage type you copied. The posting is represented by processing class 32 and evaluation class 01 (of table T512W) for a payment wage type. Provided the new wage type is similar in its
posting requirement to the one you have copied you only need to do two things now:
1. ensure that processing class 32 is the correct option for the type of posting you want.
2. ensure that the value in evaluation class 01, also known as a symbolic account, correctly represents the
target account number in FI for this expense.
If you have to post to an existing account number, for which there is already a symbolic account allocated,
you can set evaluation class 01 to that symbolic account.
If the payment is so different from existing payment types, that your accountants want it posted to a new
account code, you need to
3. allocate a new symbolic account number (next available number in the range)
4. insert a new entry in table T030, "Posting of HR to FI/CO", linking the new symbolic account to the account
number advised by your FI administrator.

Assignment Date Track History-Changed Field Summary
Hi all,
We have Oracle HR 11.5.7 FP.G.
In the HRMS there is a for the Employee's Assignment Date Track History showing the Changed Field Summary.
We want to specify the exact field(s) changed in Assignment for a period using SQL or Discoverer for Reporting Purposes.
Does anyone have any sample coding or idea on how to perform this?That is to specify exactly what fields changed in an assignment change.
What I can think of is to compare values but I'm not sure how I can get the desired result.
I would appreciate any feedback.

To meet you're requirement: changes per person during a period
- done this before using audit trail, be aware that the reports that comes out standard, does not resemble anything a HR user can read. Quite often it says this ID has change to that ID. Building a reports that changes this into something meaning full for a HR/Payroll person does require a considerable effort.
- using the change event log (system extract) or the retro notification report (payroll) will give you're results in a better format. Problem you may encounter here, is that not all entities are available (by default). You may have to add some dynamic triggers.

Is this bugs in Obiee 11.1.1.3?so the grand total show the wrong value?

I have a requirement of having personnel number for employees to be Nine digits.
Currently the length of data element for PERNR is 8, please let me know if this can be made to 9.
The Number range will be external.
The same number will be used for all the other process in SAP HCM like reporting, payroll, time, OM,

How to make the personnel number to nine digits?

PC 2.5 - Corporate level Roles
Hello All,
We a dilemma regarding the assignment of the u201CInternal Controlleru201D Role (which is in the corporate level).
The management want a certain user to be the Internal Controller for all the process and organizations except the ones related to HR.
Meaning they do not want this user to have access to test results that concerns Payroll data and so on.
Because the u201CInternal Controlleru201D role is in the corporate level I canu2019t exclude one of the HR organization and/or process from this.
Does anybody has an idea for a solution ?

The problem is that corporate roles span all organizations. The only thing I can think of is to identify all tasks that allow this access. DISP-TSTRE most likely, but possibly also DISP-REPT, DISP-CDASS
DISP-CEASS and a few others. Remove these tasks from the Internal Controller role, create org level reporting roles and assign all of these tasks to those roles roles except for payroll to the Internal controller role. Kind of ugly because you'll then have to assign several roles for reporting purposes. You could also modify your org structure to simplify this requirement by having Payroll off by itself. This way you won't have to assign 30 organizational reporting roles. Best case scenario you could have 2 org level reporting roles for reporting: payroll and nonpayroll.
But your issue is not just for Corporate controller role, it is for several others as well. DISP-TSTRE is in COR-AUDMGR, COR-CEOCFO, COR-INTAUD and other lower level roles that are probably OK because the resposible people for those areas are probably assigned.
This is going to require some security customization and a fair amount of trial and error. We did a fair amount of this ourselves. We did a presentation at GRC2009 that had a handout on security structure youi might find helpful. See if you can find someone who attended. If not, I can forward it to you.

Before developing report on SAP Payroll error log I suggest taking a look at below blog. There is a new functionality from SAP to improve payroll data validation and they are calling it "Control Center Add-On".
This is going to be a free add on for anyone who is on EHP7 and NetWeaver on 7.4 release. The general availability is June 2nd 2014.
