BW iViews with Anonymous Scheme Authentication

Hi Team,
Actually, we are in a IP project, we are working with Portal 7 SP 13 and BW 7 SP 14, but we have a problem with the bex iviews on the Anonymous view. Colud you help us to solve this issue, because when we are on the anonymous view on the portal, the bex iviews always ask us user and password, but them have on the properties parameters the anonymous scheme authentication.
Some of you know what is the problem or know if the bex iview works with the anonymous scheme authentication.

Thanks for your answer, but the user have been created and i have configured the SSO between Portal and BW but the error continue, when i open the portal with anonymous option http://portalhost:portalport/irj/portal/anonymous, the bw iview ask me the user and password.

Problems with Anonymous authentication !!

I hope this is the right forum to ask my problem. And also, I would like to say that I dont have any idea in Java.
Our problem is
1. We are using Java SSL as server and OpenSSL as client.
2. For server authentication, the connection is successful.
3. But for Anonymous authentication, the connection fails in read server hello.
I am not sure why this connection is failing. I have referred to client log file but did not get any information to solve the problem.
I dont know how to check log information in the server side if it provides.
Our settings are like this in server.xml for server side :
<Connector port="8443" protocol="HTTP/1.1" SSLEnabled="true"
maxThreads="150" scheme="https" secure="false"
clientAuth="false" sslProtocol="TLS" />
Please let me know whether above settings are OK for Anonymous authentication or not.

Server is being run with TomCat.
As I am not familiar with Java, May be I did not provide enough details.
You may think that if I am not familiar, why I am posting ? :) I am supporting some other project team for SSL. So, we have faced this problem. I am familiar with SSL but not Java.

3. But for Anonymous authenticationAnonymous authentication is a contradiction in terms. What you are doing is anonymous SSL, i.e. with no authentication.
the connection fails in read server hello. Fails how? With what exception? stack trace? message? What happens if you run the server with -Djavax.net.debug=ssl,handshake?
Please let me know whether above settings are OK for Anonymous authentication or not.They are not. You would have to enable one or more of the anonymous cipher suites. They are disabled by default.
Next question, why are you doing anonymous SSL? Are you aware that it isn't secure?

Issue with Anonymous Authentication and updating or starting new projects

So 2 weeks ago I had a post about Anonymous Authentication found here:

That issue has been resolved but has created a new issue. We have Anonymous Authentication disabled but when one of our users tries to make a new project she gets the following:
Unexpected response from server. The status code of response is '0'. The status text of response is ''.
When she tries to edit an existing project, she gets the following:
The server was unable to save the form at this time. Please try again.
If I re-enable the Anonymous Auth. everything works for her again, but then we face the issue from the original post with reports not publishing.
Any ideas on how to make everything get along?

LDAP PropertySet with Anonymous Authentication

Please,
I would like to know how can I set up ldap property set for WLP 4.0 using MS Exchange
5.5 Ldap Server with anonymous bind. If I put no values at Principal and Password
Principal in LdapPropertyManager EJB, I got several errors as NullPointerExceptions.
There is no admin and the customer does not want using exchange passwords at weblogic
console.

As long as the quick poll iview that you put into the anonymous user role, has an authentication scheme of anonymous, then it will work fine.
Don't forget to point the iview at the relevant quick poll campaign.

How to set up KM folder with Anonymous access.

Experts,
I would like to setup a KM folder with anonymous access where any document on that folder can be viewed by anonymous users by clicking on a link specific to that document. For example: http://server/irj/go/km/docs/documents/TechDocs/file_name.html
Please note that this document will not be rendered through an iView, so setting up an anonymous role will not work in this case.
Can anyone tell if this will be doable and the steps to do it?

You have to differentiate between anonymous access to the iView behind /irj/go/km/docs (PCD auth scheme) and the permissions on KM folders (KM permissions). If you want to restrict the access, on the folders which should not be accessible for anonymous access, remove the group "Everyone" from the permissions (via details / settings / permissions). Using KM APIs with Anonymous user

Dear SDNites,
I have gone thorough one of the SAP notes on possible CM scenarios with anonymous users. It says the the supported scenarios are Search, browse and download.
My question is that can we use KM apis in these areas with anonymous users? I got some documentation on KM Indexmanagement APIs for searching with TREX, which requires authenticated user. I am wondering is there any way to use those APIs with anonymous user access.

Hi Pavan,
if you access the KM via Web Service you'll find parameters in each service to send username and password.
If you browse the KM reposiroties via http you may need to do an authentication first. If your portal accepts basic authentication (as it does by default) you may call the KM explorer iView with some URL like:
http://<username>:<password>@<hostname>.<domain>:<port>/<path to KM iView>
If this does not work, maybe you need to use a client that supports basic authentication (digest). This may be e.g. the OpenSourcer library [HttpClient|http://hc.apache.org/] from the Apache project.

It's not clear what you want to do.
Do you want to set up LDAP for authentication?
Or
Do you want to set up a custom authentication scheme that tries to authenticate via LDAP and if unsuccessful, logs the user in as an anonymous user?

Database with many schemas - query schema depending on user

Let's assume we have a number of schemas in a database (hundred or so), which all contain the same tables.
The customer wants one application express application which accesses only the schema corresponding to the user that is currently logged in.
So database schema user1 contains table EMP, and schema user2 also contains EMP. Now the application is assigned both schemas user1 and user2, and when user2 logs in he only sees database schema user2.
Is this possible with Apex? I've tried both built-in authentication and database authentication for the application, but found out this is truly only about authentication, because the query is always executed by APEX_PUBLIC_USER.
How can I manage which schema is accessed with the authenticated user?

Every apex application has an "owner" attribute which is used as the parsing schema. All SQL and PL/SQL in your app is parsed as that schema using that schema's privileges. It is as if your application were a definer's rights stored procedure in that schema. The APEX_PUBLIC_USER schema is simply used to create the session and has no bearing on privileges. Currently there is no way to change the owner attribute of an application at runtime. However, your application can operate with any schema in the database according to the privileges granted to the parsing schema. do you have sso configured between portal and BW server, if yes the authentication pop up should not come.
if you dont want to do sso between portal and bw server and still want to logon to BW query with anonymous user,
in you bw server go to transaction sicf and navigate to DEFAULT_HOST->SAP->BW->BEX and double click on bex node in the resulting window, log on details section provide a default userid/password

Url iview for anonymous user

We have an url iview with two Language-specific URLs (en and es) and a default URL. This iview is in anonymour portal page.
The first time that an anonymous user accees to /irj/portal/anonymous the url iview shows the default url instead of the en URL. Browser lengauge is EN.
How can i solve this??

There are two condition for the URL Language-specific :
1. You must first create the URL iView and then use the editor to use this
feature. It is not available in the URL iView Wizard.
2. You cannot apply a different look and feel to language-specific URLs.
iView content will be displayed at runtime in its native format as defined in
the source Web page. For more information, see the Keep
source formatting option in Defining the Look and Feel of the iView Content.
The remaining look and feel rendering option are supported by the default URL only.
In addition there is an option to check the service configuration of the Language-specific :
com.sap.portal.admin.wizardframework:
edit the SourceLocales field check that the requested Language is defined and if not you can add it
( Follow note# 1078145 )
After doing so , please restart the service , and check the results.
If the problem still exist let me know and we can have further investigation.

SGD with Third Party Authentication issue

Hi
I am trying to setup SGD with Third Party Authentication and have done all the requisites for this.
I input the SGD URL and get the Third Party Login page but after I input my credentials, I get redirected to the SGD default login page which should not be the case. I had already set "Tomcat Authentication" as false in server.xml and enabled the Third Party authentication scheme in Array Manger
What else am I missing ?

Every now and then I have found the same. One thing that almost always solved the problem was recreating a new trusted user, you can follow the steps from:

Especially the step to test the trusted_user is a very good test to see if the trusted user is ok: http://server/axis/services/rpc/externalauth
When prompted, log in as the trusted user.
An other way to test it is via the api-test functionality: http://server/sgd/admin/apitest/
First setup a session: webtopsession->startSession(0)
Then authenticate via externalauth->setSessionIdentity
These steps are the minimal steps to perform 3rdParty Authentication

Is there a way for DAS to work with anonymous bindings turned off?

Hi,
I noticed that whenever I set "Allow Anonymous Binds" to "0" in oidadmin, DAS stops working after the next reboot. However, when the option is set to "1", JAZN lets users access protected pages when they do not supply a password (though the correct username must still be provided.) Does anyone know of ways to either get DAS to work without anonymous access or to make JAZN not authorize users who supply blank passwords with anonymous access?

I hadn't seen a reply to this message and I'm running into the same problem with JAZN, i.e. JAZN-LDAP is authenticating all users with a blank password.
Is the only solution to turn off anonymous binds?

Project Server 2010 Web services access with Client Certificate Authentication

We switched our SharePoint/Project Server 2010 farm to use client certificate authentication with Active Directory Federation Services (AD FS) 2.0, which is working without issue. We have some administrative Project Server Interface (PSI)
web service applications that no longer connect to server with the new authentication configuration. Our custom applications are using the WCF interface to access the public web services.
Please let us know if it is possible to authenticate with AD FS 2.0 and then call
Project Server web services. Any help or coding examples would be greatly appreciated.

What is the user account format you specified in the code for authentication?
For proper authorization, the “user logon account” in PWA for the user needs to be changed from domain\username to the claims token (e.g.
'I:0#.w|mybusinessdomain\ewmccarty').
It requires you to manually call the UpnLogon method of
“Claims to Windows Token Service”. if (Thread.CurrentPrincipal.Identity is ClaimsIdentity)
