BW object status "Changed by IMPACT" - how to figure out who caused it?

Hi,
We have struggled with this for some time - and it has just bitten us again in our BW production system - an Update Rule became inactive with status changed by 'IMPACT.'  We need help/instructions on how to see just what process (transport?) caused the impact!
Please share your knowledge/process for this issue.
thanks very much.
Janet H.

Hi,
Thanks to everyone who has responded.  I suppose that I could have/should have provided more information in my original post/question.  In our situation, there are no "obvious" structural changes that would have caused the update rules to be inactivated.  There were no transports, no "manual" changes in an "open" system.  There were no InfoObjects added nor removed from the ODS. (The update rules in question feed ODS targets.)
So, I have a couple of related questions -
Is it possible that this condition (changed by IMPACT) was caused by changes in the feeding (R/3) system?  Perhaps by the Data Source being replicated?  We did a Plug-in upgrade on our R/3 system on 20Nov2004.  These update rules continued to function - they became inactive the first time a developer "looked" at them in the production BW system.  Only a subset of all the update rules behaved this way.  We have not been able to determine the commonality - reference characteristics, compound characteristics, etc.  That is why we have posted this question.  Any further advice is surely welcomed!

  • Symbol Lookup Error: How to figure out the cause?

    Hi,
I'm the maintainer of a package in the AUR that recently started spewing out this error:
./racer: symbol lookup error: ./racer: undefined symbol: _ZN4FMOD6System13getDriverCapsEiPjPiS2_P16FMOD_SPEAKERMODE
Now I should note that this is a binary application, so recompiling is not an option.
I would like to learn something here, so I'm chasing down some information. I hope one here is able to help me out.
I've learned that this is most likely due to a library no longer providing what the application needs or simply not being available (correct?)
Otherwise, this could be due to changes in the compiler (correct?)
    So I ran ldd:
    [stefan@archsteef racer-3d]$ ldd racer
    linux-gate.so.1 => (0xb78cf000)
    libX11.so.6 => /usr/lib/libX11.so.6 (0xb777e000)

    libc.so.6 => /lib/libc.so.6 (0xb71fd000)
    libdl.so.2 => /lib/libdl.so.2 (0xb71f8000)

    libXdmcp.so.6 => /usr/lib/libXdmcp.so.6 (0xb565b000)
It would appear that all required libraries are available (correct?)
My next thought was that thus: the library must be available, but no longer provide what the application wants.
    My question:
How should I proceed in finding out:
    - what library is (was) responsible for the symbol?
    - am I at all in the right train of thought?

I'm not an expert, but i have the same error:
the error ends with FMOD_SPEAKERMODE, so i think the library that is responsible for this error is libfmodex.so.
The Loki installer contain a version of libfmodex.so in lib/ directory, but i get another error using that one.
I hope in a solution, now i'm looking in the web!

  • How to figure out the cause of kernel panics?

Hi, I've recently been experiencing kernel panics, and I would greatly appreciate it if someone could help me find out the reason why. Before I go into more detail, I have a 13-inch, mid 2012 Macbook Pro running OS X Mavericks (10.9.3). Here are some more specifics -
      Model Identifier:          MacBookPro9,2
      Processor Name:          Intel Core i5
      Processor Speed:          2.5 GHz
      Number of Processors:          1
      Total Number of Cores:          2
L2 Cache (per Core):          256 KB
      L3 Cache:          3 MB
      Memory:          4 GB
      Boot ROM Version:          MBP91.00D3.B08
Anyway, I did a hardware test, and it came back saying there were no hardware issues. Also, the other day I reinstalled OS X Mavericks, and a kernel panic still occurred afterwards. Lastly, a few months ago I changed out my hard drive because the hard drive it came with was really loud. The new hard drive that is currently inside my Macbook is a TOSHIBA Q Series Pro Internal Solid-State 128 GB Drive. Hopefully that's enough background information, but if you have any other questions I'd be happy to answer them. Thanks a lot.
These are just a few random Kernel Panic logs that I saved to my computer:

  • How to figure out the properties of field/object ??

    Hello
I have field (say, its name is field_1) in my_form and  i am coloring yellow by using below code of initialization event:
this.ui.oneOfChild.border.fill.color.value = "255,255,191"; (Actually, just for differentiating / tracing back purpose here  am assigning this yellow color to this field, you can suggest me any thing else that marks / tags this field (i can not populate a value, bcz its visible to user), so that in the  CHANGE event of this field, again i want to check/get/know that whether this field is tagged/marked or not)
fine. But, because of some/below reason, i need to find out its color by using JavaScript, pls. let me know how to figure out its color is as yellow by using JavaScrit?
Reason: If field_1's color is YELLOW (or you suggested any tag/mark as said in the above in red text), then i have to make HIDE the field_2
Field_0's position is extreme left, Field_1's  position is middle and the Field_2's position is exterme right of the page.
I guess, i hv only one option of finding out color, hence am looking forward for JavaScript to find out the color of a field in question
    (OR)
Also, pls. let me know the JavaScript that How can i make HIDE a check box for that COMLETE session (i mean, starting from launching the form in the browser until he closes the window/browser/tab/form), i guess, this idea also workes for my requirement, ( i want to put this code in the docReady event) .....no matter/what ever code is existing there in any event of that field level
    Thank you

    Hi,
If you want to give a visual indicator to the user, then colouring the field yellow is probably a good approach.
However if you just want to keep track on the field, then you could test the field's value (.rawValue) and take appropriate action. In addition you can also attach a variable to an object using the <desc> element. It is a bit involved but you can find an example here: http://assure.ly/x1QObn.
    Hope that helps,
    Niall

  • CRM Release confirmation for billing (how to find out who released)

    Hi All,
Does anybody know how to find out who released a confirmation for billing. Tx for releasing is /BEA/CRMB02. After releasing the confirmation for billing it will show up in /BEA/CRMB01. But there is no way to find out who released the confirmation since there is no change log. Or is there a change log?
    Does anyone know the answer?

You will need to use 'grep' from the CLI of your appliance(s) in order to view the mail_logs and gui_logs.  Use "released" in the mail_logs to get the timeframe of when the mails in question were released.  (You may need to verifiy the MID for the mails in order to verify the particular ones in question.)
Enter the regular expression to grep.
    []> released
Then use 'grep' again to search the timeframe in gui_logs.  This should display who carried out the action, or what userID they were logged in with --- showing "user:<userID>" in the log line.
    I hope this helps!

    Lynne130,
to figure out which users have administrative privileges, open the Users & Groups pane of System Preferences; each user other than the Guest User will be shown with a description of either “Admin” or “Standard”. It’s typical for the first user created on a Mac to be an administrative user.

  • How to find out who's texting you from an iCloud email address?

how to find out who's texting you from an icloud email address?

OK after a bit of research I found a way to achieve this.
I simply looked up the email address in ADUC, then did a search in SP with the display name. I could locate the list and manually confirm it was configured with the incoming email address I was looking for.
I also found the below script on Stackoverflow, but got "The 'using' keyword is not supported in this version of the language." when I tried to run it. Any idea how to fix that? I'd like to have a script to link a library to an email address istead of the
    manual approach described above.

  • How to figure out server has capacity to install OEM 10 Grid control

How to figure out server has capacity to install OEM 10 Grid control
    Hi Experts
I have HP_UX 11.11 server which has 1 instance on it with version 10.2.0.1.0.
Now I would like to install Grid control with a separate instance for repository.
I was told I would need 2 GB Ram for OMS and 2 GB Ram for instance.
Now how do I figure out if my server has enough resources from Ram perspective
Following is output from top and vmstat
    1. for top it says 3045556K free , now is this free memory virtual(real +swap) or real?
    2. as per top I only have free 3GB(3045556K) , so does that mean I can not have OMS & repository on
    this server ?
    3. In vmstat I see free memory as 762335
in man it says free - Size of the free list
what does this mean, how much is my free meemory ?
    4. For OMS I read - It is a J2EE application that is installed and deployed using Oracle
    Application Server
Now when I look at top I see these processes

    0 ? 3377 oasadm 152 20 1657M 1276M run 54:49 1.88 1.88 java

    need 2GB for OMS ?

  • How to figure out ORA_12203:TNS unable to connect to destination?

    OS: WSK
I have installed oracle817 and form6i in different directory in a machine
and defined two oracle home for them. I can access sqlplus through
OEM of oracle817, but I can not do the same thing through form6i,
the error showed me: ORA_12203:TNS unable to connect to destination.
But after installation, I have copied tnsname.ora of oracle817(oracle_home/network/admin) to tnsname.ora of form6i
(oracle_home_net80/admin). The same error slao showed me when I open
From Builder, droped the menu FILE --> Connect: system/manager/oradb,
TNS unable to connect to destination.
How to figure out this promble? I think maybe listener configuration
have some promble, but I am not sure how to do that?
COuld some give me some ideas? Thanks

    Hi shay,
I have not fixed my problem. I defined two homes respectively:
    Oracle817: Home_name: oraHome81
    Path: D:\oracle
    Form6i: home_name: orahome6i
    path: d:\Form6i
But I'm wondering when I opened the ORACLE folder under
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, All_Homes just show one home name:
oraHome81 or orahome6i, deponding on which I imported later.
So I like to ask do I need make the export/import
registery of ORACLE floder under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
when you install oralce and form6i together?
By the way, let me attached the TNSNAMES.ora file which
    configured by Oracle during installation:
    # TNSNAMES.ORA Network Configuration File: D:\oracle817\network\admin\tnsnames.ora
    # Generated by Oracle configuration tools.

  • The 'selected items' color randomly changes and I can't figure out why.

Hi everybody, I recently upgraded to Firefox 13, which appears to be the most stable browser version so far and I really like it. I have loved Firefox very much, having used it since somewhere between versions 2 and 3.
After upgrading to version 13 I noticed something that annoys me quite a bit. This may have been present before but I can't remember and I did not notice until now.
On my computer (Windows 7 x64 Ultimate) I have set the color of the 'selected items' (specifically text) to be lime green text on a slightly off black background. I chose this color scheme because it blends very well with Firefox itself (I have the NASA night launch theme), Windows Explorer, and many web pages that I have changed to a dark theme (using the Stylish browser extension). This color scheme has excellent contrast in areas with black text on a light background, as well as light text on a dark background. It has served me well.
After upgrading to Firefox 13 I have noticed that if the web page is dark with light text, the 'selected items' color changes to lime green text on a light grey background. (Less frequently, it changes instead to off-black text on a lime green background). I have not been able to isolate the threshold where this change occurs (meaning how dark the website background needs to be /how light the text needs to be for this to happen) nor have I found a solution.
This problem sometimes extends even to sites that have dark text on a light background: when tabs are switched, with no input fields clicked and the address bar is not clicked. This very page (Firefox support) is apparently vulnerable as well.
This problem only happens on rendered web pages. Firefox's menus, buttons and toolbars, as well as all other programs and Windows itself, are unaffected.
I want the 'selected items' to remain as I have set it, and not deviate regardless of the apparent contrast or color scheme of the web page being displayed.
[Edit #1]: Interestingly, as I was copying the information from about:support I noticed that it is affected as well.
Any suggestions? Thanks so much, and I am sorry for the long-winded description. tl;dr look at the pictures.

It is always best to avoid making changes to the selected text colors.<br />
Firefox uses an algorithm to check if the contrast is sufficient and will swap text and background colors if that test fails.<br />
