BW query as Iview(Urgent)

Dear Folks,
I am trying to create BW related BEx queries as Iview in EP.
Every thing is fine,but when I am checking the preview of the view its showing the query direct output, instead of showing Query Selection screen first.
How can I show the Selection screen as first screen then output of the query..

give the following property for you BW report iview as..
BEx Web Application Query String==> cmd = ldoc&infocube=<info cube name>&query=<query name>

Wich authorization do I need?? Where is the iView??...

Search for ContentManager role in the user admin and assign that role to your user id or the group you are in.
Once it is added, Content Manager role will come in Top level navigation.
Then navigate to Content Manager -> Classification-> Taxonnomy Query Builder.

Can I limit which taxonomies display in the Taxonomy Query builder iview?

Ive built a bunch of (query based) taxonomies successfully. I have also placed a taxonomy query builder iview on two portal content pages (one page is called OHS and the other Finance): In the taxonomy query builder iview, is there a way to ONLY show related taxonomies for OHS users on the OHS page (and only show Finance taxonomies on the Finance pages)?
In the Taxonomy Query builder it appears that All taxonomies appear all the time. Ive tried setting the permissions on the individual indexes and also on the taxonomy folders in KM.

I think if you logon to portal as administrator, you are able to see all the taxonomies. But you can restrick end user to see particular taxonomies. Fot that you have to navigate to Content Management -> Classification -> Taxomonies.
Then open that particular index and go to details page of that taxonomy which you want to block for end users.
Then click on setting and open permission page. Delete all the permissions (If any type of permissions already given) then add your end users (you can make a group of particular type of end users and then add that group directly) and give permissions.
I think this will work for you.

Error in MSS iViews - Urgent

I've imported the MSS BP 60.1.5 (Based on Java) into the Portal Successfully. After creating a System Object 'SAP_R3_HumanResources' i'm trying to run the iviews however am getting a message "Could not connect to the R/3 System". I checked my DefaultTrace.trc file and found this:-

Thanks for helping me however this is not helpful to me as this discussion was about ESS/MSS based on WebDynPro where you have to configure the SLD as well.
I'm trying to run the MSS based on Java where no SLD is required (If i'm not wrong). Any other hints on this.

Bex Query WAD Iview - Look and feel.

I've put a query into a WAD and I've published the WAD as an ivew. But i want the look and feel to be "Corporate" and not use the SAP standard blues etc. I have created a custom them but when I preview the iview the query in the WAD is blue rather than the green I want and have used in my theme. I created a custom stylesheet and tried using &style_sheet in the Iview but the bulk of the query is still blue. I tried putting a line in the XTHML just below <HEAD> that said <link rel="STYLESHEET" type="text/css" href=""bwmimerep:///sap/bw/MIME/customer/stylesheets/My_Theme_For_Portal.css" but that doesnt seem to work either. The bulk of the data displayed in the query remians blue. I just dont think it's referencing my stylesheet.
Any ideas? Help is much appreciated.

What I would do is publish the WAD as a template in your system and then call your query like:
...?query=zbm_m001_q001&template=zmywad_temp
or
make the default template that is called your WAD - zmywad_temp

Couple things to remember: in your new default template make it so all queries can use it and don't default it to a specific query unless you want you users to get a different look on that query.

Beloq query is taking time to execute and cost is 934.
The db in which it is run has lesser volume of data compared to that of prod.
There is a full table scan on psd
inspite of a pk present on table psd columns (psd_id,psd_serial_no)

Urgent Sql Query Problem - -Very Urgent

I need a urgent solution for a problem.I am
using the following query
select ename from emp where deptno =10
Now I will declare a bind variable and if user passes 'A'
then the query will run as it is and if he passes B
then it should run the above query with this additional clause -> birthdate - hiredate >15.
Please can any one help its very urgent

Assuming that you have a birthdate column in your emp table, the following will do what you are asking for:

However, the clause "birthdate - hiredate > 15" will only retrieve rows for employees who were born more than 15 days after they were hired. I doubt that this is what you really want, since this is impossible.

ABAP Query in iView

How do I display an ABAP query in a portal iView?

Hello Amit,
I have a question regarding the SAP QUERY Iview.
First, about the system Identifier: How do you create this in portal? is it created the way you create any other SAP system in system configuration? The reason I ask is, when I look at the properties for system identifier, it says JCO destination xml identifier. Can you please explain how to set this up.
We just want to create an Iview in portal which can display a query coming from our SAP R/3 system.
Also, When you are creating an Iview from PAR file, do we have to deploy any extar PAR files before we can use this functionality. Please let me know.

Bookmark not working in BW query report iview in EP?

When i was clicking on "bookmark" button in SAP BW Query iview ..nothing is displaying.
do i need to give any properties of that iview. or do i need to do any configs in BW level.

Our experience has been that the bookmark button does not work in the EP. If you select bookmark from the context menu it should work fine

I am trying to search a query AQL4CUST_SERVICECONTRACTINFO==.
In sq01, in user group cust_service i can find a query name of contractinfo but the report name assign to it is AQFKCUST_SERVICECONTRACTINFO==.but I am searching for AQL4CUST_SERVICECONTRACTINFO==.

Report select options similar to Query output options : Urgent !!!!!

Hi All,
I have developed a custom report . The output options of this report needs to be included in Selection screen like in SQ01 queries, there should be option to output the report results in different formats like List Viewer, ABAP List, Spread Sheet etc.,.
If some variant is selected then user will select whatever the format he want .
the output should display in that format .
How I can acomodate all these options to output a report .
How can I do this ..Pls help me its Urgent !!!!

The ouput u want is just a little away from the one u r actually getting. it is the two fields OPER and ITEM interchangeably..
U just have to use GROUP BY ITEM..........if u want the desired output with ITEM as first field.
<group-by-clause> → GROUP BY [<column-ref>,*]<column-ref>
