BW stats Query problem!

Hi All,
Just need some help on this:
Scenario: I created a query on the stats multiprovider.
The query shows exceptions (red / green) indicating that data is loaded successfully to data targets or not.Red for failure and green for success.It is just supposed to show colors as it is used by end users.
Problem : What happens is at times wen data is loaded fine to the data targets but 0 records updated its showing red! which is a concern as its quite misleading for users. they are taking it to be data load failed though its actually a zero records update through full -update.Now i checked the table RSDDSTATWHM for such requests.There seems to be no entries in that table too.
Is it connected or can some one suggest how to handle this scenario.Its again a production environment and needs quick resolution.....tell me if you want to knw more about it..........

Check your traffic light settings in transaction SPRO?
It's under the following path or similar path:
SAP BIW => Automated Processes => Monitor Settings => Set Traffic Light Color.

Cash flow statement Query

Hi,
I had used the RSZC transaction to migrate query 0FIGL_VC1_Q0002 - Cash flow statement, based on 0FIGL_VC1 to a custom virtual cube which extracts data from a cube containing general ledger accounting (New) data. on execution of the query, no data is displayed.
In a similar fashion the query 0FIGL_V10_Q0001, which is based on virtual cube 0FIGL_V10 was migrated to the same custom virtual cube and was found to be executing.
has anyone faced similar issue with cash flow statement query?

Look at the import parameters - there is a hard coded and change it to Z version

Stock Statement Query

Hi All,
Can some one help me in writing the stock statement query which includes
Warehouse Code, Inventory Transfer No, Inventory Transfer Date, Item Code, Item Description, Batch No/Serial No, Expiry date, Delivery Note No if any
We have add on which links the Inventory Transfer to Delivery. We can copy the inventory transfers to delivery where inventory transfer no will be stored in the item level UDF (u_delno)

EJB Transaction timeout and Statement Query Timeout

I am looking for some details on how statement query timeout is set when statement execution is part of the session bean transaction. I have done some test in webshere 6.1. and JBoss 5.0 and not getting the desired behavior. My understanding is following
- DB is Oracle 11g
- EJB transaction is set to 5 mins.
- Query time out setting is set to default vaule (not sure what is the default value)
- Session bean is updating say customer record using PreparedStatement
- Prior to calling session bean method I am locking the customer record using external/db tool and holding the lock.
- Call session bean method. Method waits endlessly for the lock to be acquired. No transaction rollback after 5 mins.
- After 10 minutes commit the transaction in the external db tool
- Session bean methods throws transaction rollback.
My understanding was that query timeout is set based on transaction "time to live". Please share out thoughts.

The following configuration seems working:
version: OC4J (9.0.3.0.0) (build 020927.1699)
AM deployment:
- bc4j.xcfg: <jbo.ejb.txntimeout>30000</jbo.ejb.txntimeout>
- orion-ejb-jar.xml: <session-deployment name="..." timeout="0"/>
OC4J config:
- data-source: inactivity-timeout="30000"
This keeps connection open for more than default 30 mins of inactivity (30000 secs configured).
Although, oc4j console prints multiple warnings:
DriverManagerConnectionPoolConnection not closed, check your code!
Looks like this is not an intended usage - but working.
Notice that it was a test, not a production environment.
Also pls see 9033: AM as EJB Session bean: pooled connection lost for new txn
I would be thankful for any experience in running AM Session EJB w/o timeout.

I'm in confusion. You are asking the same question with different meanings.
As you are already suggested to use Inventory Posting List. You get all of your answers to your question.
It will give you the stock Opening, In, Out, Closing Warehouse Wise (Particular/All), Date wise, Transaction wise...
Please check this path to refer This Report.
Inventory->Inventory Reports-->Inventory Posting List......
If you have different requirement then please do mention.

Named query problem with "like" statement

I'm having issues with a named query that contains a 'like' statement in it. I have other named queries that have like statements that have hardcoded like values in them that work fine.
(i.e. select * from foo where foo.col1 like 'foo%' )
But when the like value to be tested is a parameter, it doesn't seem to work at all, no matter what variation i've tried, other than no wildcards.
(i.e.
this DOES work
select * from foo where foo.col1 like #fooParm
this DOES NOT work
select * from foo where foo.col1 like '%#fooParm%'
Any suggestions on how to get this to work?

Try building your select statement in a different way.
Instead of:
select * from foo where foo.col1 like '%#fooParm%'
Try something like:
select * from foo where foo.col1 like '#fooParm'
And include the wild cards in the parameter.
i.e. if fooParam was 'abc', make fooParm = '%abc%'

VIEW Query Problem

Hi Greg,
I had created a view on a table which doesn't have Primary Key, but it has Unique and Not Null constraints on required columns.
I had wrote a procedure to query the data on VIEW. I have experienced strange problem, very first call to procedure will take more time than succeeding requests. For example from second request onwards, it returns data in < 2 Sec, but first transaction is taking 12 Sec to 30 Sec.
I thought that very first time VIEW is taking time to refresh it self. So, I added FORCE keyword in CREATE VIEW stattement. However, that doesn't helped out.
In my further investigation I came to know that base table on which VIEW created, has to be loaded in to memory before querying on VIEW.
So, I had executed a simple select statement on base table, before I execute VIEW query in procedure.
With this change I got results consistently < 2 Sec all the times.
My question is instead of executing the select statement on base table is there a way to load base tables data in memory before querying on VIEW?

Hi,
A view is nothing but parsed SQL statements stored in the database, a view may or may not run faster. If you execute the SQL used to define the view how much time is it taking. If you want try looking at MATERIALIZED VIEW , that may help you.

Abap select query problem

This report will take delivery document number and delivery date from user and fetches details from delivery table and fetches
corresponding sales order details and billing details and displays sales order details with ALV list.

i just want to know that is this way of fetching the data into internal table okay ?are there any better ways of fetching the data into the internal table ? why is it looping in work area of lips, why not in likp?
(plz dont use field-symbols or oo abap or macros) I WANT TO USE PLAIN AND SIMPLE ABAP STATEMENTS LIKE ABOVE..
By using "vbeln type lips-vbeln" are we refering to the field or data element? plz suggest.
P.S.           [my approach was to inner join likp and lips into itab(my internal table).
select data from kna1, vbak,vbap,vbrp into respective internal tables like it_kna1,it_vbak etc.
then using individual loops into the tables, i would use read table to insert data into itab(my final internal table) plz suggest which method wud be more efficient? ]

ok i am posting the select queries once again.
i want to know why are we looping in t_lips and why not t_likp? bcoz tlikp is the header table, if we loop thru it and then read the rest tables then what will be the problem? plz clarify with examples._
[my idea was to loop at t_likp then read t_lips.append the lips data into t_order(main internal table).then do read table on t_kna1,t_vbap etc indexing t_order. so plz suggest whether my approach was write or wrong?if wrong why?plz site any other ways of doing this query.

Reg select query problem

anyway i have a query which is mentioned below:-
select field1,.....fieldn
         from <dbtable1>
         into corresponding fields of table itab
         where <condition>.
select field1,...fieldn
          from <dbtable2>
         appending corresponding fields of table itab
        where <condition>.
the above two select stmts retrieve same set of fields from two different database tables into same internal table itab..
now my question is ...........is any other way to change 2nd select statement without using appending correspondin fields
but the functionality should remain the same as it is after changing..................
bcos appending corresponding is causing performance problem in data retrieval.
