BW T-code to obtain an object list related to a certain user

Hi everybody,
I´m looking for a transaction where I can obtain all the objects that depend on a user (Ex. jobs, programs).
The issue is that I´m going to delete a user and I´m not sure of the consequences. For example schedule jobs will be canceled if I don´t assign those to another user. So before deleting, I would like to have a list of objects related to that user.
The question is: Does it will happen also to programs or other ¨BW objects¨?
Thanks in advance,
Nina

Hi,
For Jobs check the table TBTCP Via Se16. this will provide you the list of jobs scheduled/Released for the specific user.
Items like Programs and other repository objects, deleting user doesn't effect the processing/using of these objects.
If you not sure, I would suggest to lock the user rather delete, that way you would able to recover if necessary and it also help you down the road for audit trails.
Hope this helps.
Kalyan.

  • Allow All Users To Add List Items But Only Certain users To Edit Them (SharePoint 2013)

How do we allow all users to add items to a list, but only allow certain users to edit the list items? Site is SharePoint 2013. We have tried creating custom permissions. That does not seem to work.

I've setup a custom list on my SharePoint Foundation using a custom permission level to accomplish this.  I setup a custom permission level on the site called 'Add Only to Lists'  which allows adding an item to the list and setup the group with
the default read and the custom permission level and it works.  The users in the group get the add item but do not get edit item, not even items they created themselves.
Any users who should have full edit permissions can be setup under the normal edit/contribute/design permission level and work normal.
Below is the Role Definition pulled via PowerShell and Role Assignments on the list in question.  As well as a picture showing what it looks like to something assigned that role level.
    Role Definition

  • Query to get objects list for which the current user has 'SELECT' privilege

    Hi,
I want to get tables and views list for which the current user has 'SELECT' privilege excluding sytem tables and views. The privilege information for the current user is scattered in more than one system views. I have following system views
USER_TAB_PRIVS_RECD - Object grants for which the current user is the grantee
ROLE_TAB_PRIVS - describes table privileges granted to roles. Information is provided only about roles to which the user has access.
If the object privilege is granted explicitly like "GRANT ALL ON TABLE_NAME TO "USERNAME" then this privilege entry goes to USER_TAB_PRIVIS_RECD
If the object privilege is granted by ROLE. Role is created with certain object privileges. this role is assigned to user "GRANT ROLE_NAME TO "USERNAME"", then this entry goes to ROLE_TAB_PRIVS
From these findings, I have composed below query
(SELECT DISTINCT TABLE_NAME FROM USER_TAB_PRIVS_RECD) UNION (SELECT DISTINCT TABLE_NAME FROM ROLE_TAB_PRIVS WHERE PRIVILEGE = 'SELECT')
Have I got user's all prvilege details? should I look some other system views?
How to exclude system table privileges details?
(SELECT DISTINCT TABLE_NAME FROM USER_TAB_PRIVS_RECD) UNION (SELECT DISTINCT TABLE_NAME FROM ROLE_TAB_PRIVS WHERE PRIVILEGE = 'SELECT' AND OWNER NOT IN ('SYS','SYSTEM') Is this right?

You will need a hierarchical query to do that.
Try this script for Listing privileges recursively for Oracle users

    Hi Deepak -
By chance did you post this message to the wrong discussion forum?  This forum is for Financial Performance Management related products, most of which are not yet even based on SAP NetWeaver technology where transaction SE09 would be relevant.
Your question seems more suitable to me in the SAP Software Logistics forum.

I'm trying to create a list using CustomSchemalXml  property in ListCreationInformation object in CSOM. But, the code throws an error "Invalid List Schema". Any pointers on how to set the CustomSchemalXml property?

    Hi Lakshmanan,
    Thanks for your reply.
I checked this post and there was no solution to the problem there. I undersand we cannot create a list based on custom template in CSOM, but what I'm looking for is how of form xml and set it to CustomSchemalXml
property, so that everytime when I want to create a list with similar content types and stuff, I can just set the
    CustomSchemalXml  property.

  • How we find object list  for SAP MM T codes.

    Dear Experts,
How can i find object list  for SAP MM T codes.
Actualy that is required for SAP User autorization review.
    Regards
    Kumar

Get t.codes list from table TSTCT using SE16,Enter t.code as MM* or M*. Execute it.
You will get a list of MM t.codes.
Also you can refer SU22 for authorization objects from above t.codes list.

  • Obtaining Object List programatically

    Hello friends at www.oracle.com,
I need to know if there's a way for me to obtain a form Object List programatically.
I already know I can obtain a list of forms' objects by opening it on Forms Builder and opening File menu, and choosing Administration -> Object List Report. However, I would like to know if there's a parameter to be passed to ifbld60.exe that creates such report, or a PL/SQL instruction that could have the same effect.
    Best regards,
    Franklin Gonçalves Jr.

    Anton-
It's currently a little convoluted, but you can do this:
    Class forClass = YourPersistentClass.class;
    com.solarmetric.kodo.runtime.PersistenceManagerImpl pmi =
    (com.solarmetric.kodo.runtime.PersistenceManagerImpl)pm;
    com.solarmetric.kodo.impl.jdbc.JDBCConfiguration config =
    (com.solarmetric.kodo.impl.jdbc.JDBCConfiguration)pmi.getConfiguration ();
    com.solarmetric.kodo.impl.jdbc.runtime.Connector connector =
    new com.solarmetric.kodo.impl.jdbc.runtime.ConfigurationConnector (config);
    com.solarmetric.kodo.impl.jdbc.SequenceFactory seq =
    config.getSequenceFactory (connector,
    com.solarmetric.kodo.meta.ClassMetaData.getInstance (forClass));
    // get the next value
    long nextValue = seq.getNext (forClass, connector);

working example of obtaining programatically SequenceFactory for the
appropriate sequenced fields. I am using the Application identity and have
sequence fields for every table. The database is Oracle 8. Here are the
appropriate properties from the kodo properties file:
    com.solarmetric.kodo.impl.jdbc.SequenceFactoryClass=com.solarmetric.kodo.impl.jdbc.schema.ClassSequenceFactory
    # Set the name of the table from which we will be obtaining sequences
    com.solarmetric.kodo.impl.jdbc.SequenceFactoryProperties=TableName=DUAL
As far as I understand I have to explicitly set the sequence value for my

next sequence value for the PK instances.
Sorry if I have missed this issue in the documentation but I could not

  • Disabling delete button in service object list fom VA03

    Hi all,
i want to disable the delete and change button in attachment list of service object list (GOS) IN T CODE  VA03.
I have found that it can be done by modifying the method  CHECK_STATUS of class CL_GOS_SRV_ATTACHMENT_LIST,
and then calling it in t code  SGOS.
i have copied this class to a Z CLASS but unable to modify the method it asks for access key.
any help is highly appreciated with example.
    thanks,
    pankaj gupta

    Hello,
The authorizations in GOS has nothing to do with the authorization in
application level, e.g. in VA03. In standard you can use the new
authorization object S_GOS_ATT from SAP note: 1293080.
    Otherwise:
A possible workaround could be the following:
Without an authorization the attachments are only deletable by the
owners or by users with sapoffice administrator authorization. If you
do not give users this sapoffice admin authorization, than only the
owners are able to delete the attachments. See SAP note: 552127
    (point 3).
OR due to a modification some functionalities can be restricted.
For more information you can read the SAP note: 491271.

  • How to generate an SE63 object list in batch periodically ?

    Dear experts,
we translate program and DDIC-texts of our add-ons continiously to english and
french, in order to keep up translations with the ongoing development we create
the necessary SE63-object list once a week. Since this process is creating
several background-jobs dynamically it is not possible to mark this inital job as
to be repeated periodically. I do understand that but I don't know why there
seems to be absolutely no way to get this done automatically once a week.
Here is what I have already tried in vain in order to achieve this:
    - a report performing a CALL TRANSACTION on transaction SE63/SLW3
    - an eCATT-script including a TCD-Script on transaction SLW3
(the script works fine if it is started directly, but the only FM that I have found
to start a script with in batch ( 'ECATT_EXECUTE' ) does not do it, but comes
back with a returncode zero, as if it did.
    - and I even tried to start the above mentioned eCATT-script by a report doing
a CALL TRANSACTION on transaction SECATT providing the necessary
field settings for the initial and following popup start screen.
Nothing seems to work. The SAP notes on this topic are as useful as the
SAP documentation on the subject "object list" (forget about it).
Who has some experience with this issue respectively ideas for my problem?
How can I generate an object list for translation once a week automatically in
    background?
    Thanks in advance
    Andreas

    Hi Lorant,
attached you'll find a download of the ABAP which is to be used as a job step
and an XML-Download of the eCATT-testscript, that processes the generation of a new object list in SE63.
As both developing objects were in our companys namespace ("/HOAG/") which you cannot use, I made a copy in the z-namespace first, from which I have removed a couple of specialties that are certainly of no value for you at all, before I downloaded them for you.
You need to give the script a name in your namespace or in the Z-namespace and then you have to adapt the scripts name in the BDCDATA generation procedure in the ABAP program appropriately.
It may be possible that the eCATT-script doesn't run properly on your system. This is due to the fact, that the sequences of dynpros and fields contained in the dynpros differ a little in all of our 4 SAP development systems that we decided to be translation relevant, This is also the reason why I recorded individual eCATT-scripts for each one of them. It may be possible that you need to record your "own" system compliant script.
An example: the popup screen with the print parameters can be personalized and may therefore look differently for every user in every system.
This is also a good reason why the background job should be scheduled and performed under the name of the same user who recorded the eCATT script before!
And just one last remark: The returncode of the job only gives you an information about wether or not the eCATT script has been executed properly but you do not know if the chain of jobs usually created by the SE63 objectlist creation functionality have been executed completely. The "system" that we set up for the automated objectlist creation is completed by a third ABAP program which is also scheduled daily as a background job. It is started about an hour after the the object list creation should be through and it verifies if the standard SAP jobs (the names of which are beginning with something like "OBJL") ran completely that day and that they are in the status "finished". If this is not the case, our "objectlist verification ABAP" sends a couple of SAP express mails to a certain selection of key users who are supposed to take a look at the system). This all works pretty well in combination!
If you (or the person that you are going to give this task to) know enough of the german language to read it, you won't have any problem with adapting this to your needs because you'll find everything neatly commented in the source code.
    regards
    Andreas

  • Netscape.javascript.JSException: Unable to obtain Document object

    Hi all.
I'm fighting against a very unusual problem involving applets and, probably, version 1.4.2_XX of the jre (in fact i've been looking for an answer over the Internet and I've found only one item related in the java programming forum. Unfortunately it was not resolved on any of the answers http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jsp?thread=452400&forum=31&message=2532663).
The thing is that the applet is unable to obtain any information about the parameters passed through the page; consequently, it finally crashes showing this ugly message:
netscape.javascript.JSException: Unable to obtain Document object

Although the same has ocurred over:

  • Obtaining CORBA Object References

I have found two separate references on the Sun site to the different ways in which clients may reference CORBA objects. In each case, three methods are listed, but one item in each list seems to be different from the 'corresponding' item in the other list.
At URL http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.3/docs/guide/idl/jidlInitialization.html, the following list is given:
    1. From a string that was specially created from an object reference
    2. From another object, such as a naming context
    3. From the ORB operation resolve_initial_references()
[Numbers added by me for ease of reference.]
At URL http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.3/docs/guide/idl/jidlUsingCORBA.html, the following list is given:
    1. from a factory object. For example, the client could invoke a create method on DocumentFactory
object in order to create a new Document. The DocumentFactory create method would return an
object refererence for Document to the client.
    2. from the nameservice. For example, the client could obtain an object reference for the
DocumentFactory by issuing a request on the nameservice.
    3. From a string that was specially created from an object reference
Though items 1 and 2 from the first list seem to correspond closely to items 3 and 2 respectively from the second list, item 3 (list 1) and item 1(list 2) do not. Does anybody know how this apparent anomaly can be resolved and which (if either) of these lists is (more?) correct?
    Thanks in anticipation.
    Jan

There really is not an anomaly here. What you are indicating as an anomaly is really two distinct things.
There are always two steps here:
    1. How does your client get the initial object reference to the server object(s). The list 1 comprehensively describes that. Typically the initial object references will be few.
    2. Once the initial references are acquired, client can make calls using these initial references to get other object references, during the clients life time. The item 1 in list 2 is a way of doing this.
The list 1 is giving you ALL possible ways of acquiring an object reference for the very FIRST time.
Item 1 in list 2 is actually suggesting a pattern or a way or doing something. For example, if your client wishes to create multiple objects of a certain family, you can use a DocumentFactory on the server side. You would acquire initial reference to the DocumentFactory using one of the ways described in List 1. Once the client has the DocumentFactory reference, it can call create on it to create Document objects on the server side. Also, the create() method will return a reference to the Document object to the client.

  • Transaction code to repair/check objects

    Hello
Can somebody remind me transaction code to repair/check objects in BW?
    Thanks

    hi
you can use rsrv. it  is  for bw objects consistency analysis and repair.
from transaction code RSRV doc itself :
Transaction RSRV: BW Data and Metadata Test and Repair Environment.
Transaction RSRV checks the consistency of data stored in BW. It mostly examines the foreign key relationships between individual tables in the enhanced star schema of the BW system.
The transaction interface was re-designed for SAP Portals release 3.0A. A brief guide about how to use the transaction follows.
    Starting the Transaction
You can reach the test and repair environment
By entering the transaction code RSRV
    From InfoObject maintenance (Transaction RSD1)
By clicking on the "Analyze" button in the intial screen.
After selecting a characteristic in the maintenance screen via the "Processing -> Analyze InfoObject" menu option.
    The Initial Screen
When using the test and repair environment for the first time, the message "Values were not found for all setting parameters" draws your attention to the fact that there aren't any saved settings for your user.
After confirming the dialog box, you reach the initial screen of the transaction. This is divided into two parts:
    1. On the left-hand side, you can see a tree structure with the pool of available tests.
    2. The right-hand side is empty at first. The tests you have selected will be put here. A selection of tests is called a Test Package here.
    Combined and Elementary Tests
An Elementary Test is a test that cannot be divided into smaller tests and that can therefore only be executed as a whole.
In this regard, a Combined Test determines which elementary tests are to be executed after entering the parameters. You can remove individual elementary tests from the test package before carrying out the actual test run, in order to reduce run time, for example.
Combining a Test Package and Executing it.
Firstly select one or more tests with drag&drop or by double-clicking. Each selected test appears as a closed folder in the view of your test package. (An exception is elementary tests without parameters: These do not appear as a folder). You can also drag a whole folder of tests from the test pool across to the right-hand screen area; all tests that are located in the hierarchical structure under this folder are then added to the test package. You can also display a short description of the test, if required. Do this right-clicking on a test and choosing "Description" from the context menu.
Afterwards, you must supply the tests with parameters. Tests without parameters must not be given parameters. You are given notification of this when selecting them. You can enter parameters by double-clicking on a test (or a test package) or by expanding the folder of the test.
A dialog box appears in which you must enter the required parameters. Input help is often available. After entering the parameters, a folder with the name "Parameter" is added under the test. This contains the parameter values. The test name can change in some circumstances, enabling you to see at first sight for which parameter values the test is to be executed. It is possible to select the same test several times and give it different parameters, which may even be preferable in some situations. When you have supplied the combined test with parameters, the folder with the name "Elementary Tests" is added under this one. It contains the elementary tests, from which the combined test is built. You can delete individual elementary tests in the test pool using drag & drop.
After supplying all tests with parameters, you can start the test run by clicking on the "Execution" button. After execution, the test icons change from a gray rhombus to a red, yellow or green one, depending on whether the test had errors, warnings or was error-free.
    Test Results
The test results are written to the application log. Depending on the settings, the system jumps automatically to this display, or you can reach it by clicking on the "Display" button. The results are saved in the database, and can therefore be compared later with additional test runs.
In the left-hand side of the window, you can see an overview of the most recent test runs. Double-clicking on a folder displays all messages under these nodes as a flat (non-hierarchical) list in the right-hand screen area. Long texts or detail data may be available for individual messages, which can be displayed with a mouse click.
    Repairs
Some tests can repair inconsistencies and errors. Automatic correction is generally not possible: If entries are missing from the SID table for a characteristic, in which case the lost SIDs are still being used in a dimension table (and the corresponding dimension keys are still being used in the fact table) of an InfoCube, you can only remove the inconsistency by reloading the transaction data of the InfoCube. Also note that you must make repairs in the correct sequence. You must always read the documentation for the test and have a good idea about how the error occured, before making the repairs.
After executing the test run, go from the application log back to the initial screen to make these repairs. Click on the "Fix Errors" button to start an error run. Since the dataset could have changed between the test and the repair run, the required tests are executed again before the actual repair. The results can be found in the application log once again.
    Test Packages
The test package is deleted if you do not save the test package in the display before leaving the test environment. Choose "Test Packages -> Save Test Package" in the option menu. You can do the following via options in the "Test Package" menu:
    Load packages
Load for processing - the package is then locked against changes by others.
    Delete and
Schedule execution at a later date or at regular intervals in background processing
    Settings
In the "Settings" menu option, you can make settings (adjust the size of the screen areas, for example) and save them. The settings are automatically read when starting the test environment. Support packages are being delivered with additional settings options since the test environment is under development at the moment. A message notifies the user at the start if there aren't any values for the setting options.
    Jobs Menu Option
You can access the job overview via the Jobs -> Job Overview menu. Use this when you want to check the status of a test package you have scheduled.
    Application Log Menu Option
You can display old logs from previous test runs in the dialog box, as well as scheduled ones. The option of deleting test logs can also be found here.
    New Selection Button
The currently selected test package is deleted when you press this button.
    Filter Button
After a test run, click on this button to remove all elementary tests without errors or warnings from the test package.
Executing Test Packages in Process Chains
You can add a process chain to the ABAP Programm RSRV_JOB_RUNNER in the process chain maintenance transaction, RSPC. To do this, use drag & drop to select the process type "ABAP Program" under "General Services" in the process type view. When maintaining process variants you will be asked for the program name and a program variant. Enter RSRV_JOB_RUNNER for the program name. Choose a program variant name and click on "Change". In the next screen you are able to either change or display an already existing variant, or create a new variant. When creating a new variant you will be asked for the following: Package name (an imput help on this is available), the detail level for the log to which the RSRV log in the process chain log is to be integrated, and a message type severity at which process chain processing should be terminated.
The RSRV process log in the process chain is built as follows:
First is a summary specifying whether errors, warnings, or no errors occurred for each elementary test.
A log view of the RSRV test package at the specified detail level follows.
Example: If you choose the value '3' for the detail level, only messages up to and including detail level 3 will be included in the log processes for the process chain. Messages occuring at a lower layer of the test package test are not displayed in this log. Please note that, unlike the application log, the process log does not propagate errors from deep detail levels to low detail levels. For example, if a single detail level 4 error occurs the summary will show that the relevant test delivered an error. However, this error will not be listed in the second part of the log.
A complete log is always written independantly of the RSRV process log in the process chain. You can view this in the menu option "Application Log->Display Log->From Batch".
Please note that there is currently no transport object for test packages and that consequently these cannot be transported. Process chains that execute RSRV test packages must therefore be manually postprocessed after a transport to a different system: The relevant test packages must be created.
