Bypass INfoview Login Page

Hi
We have enabled Single Sign On for Windows NT Authentication. (.Net environment and Windows2003 server, BO XIR2)
I was wondering if there is any way to bypass the infoview login page so that user does not need to select the windows NT authentication and is directly taken to his or her home page.

The Steps to Bypass the infoview login page are as follows :
Enable NT Authentication
1. Start the Crystal Enterprise Launchpad.
2. Click 'Central Management Console'.
3. From the Central Management Console (CMC), click 'Authentication'
4. In the 'Windows NT' tab, ensure that the 'NT Authentication is enabled' check box is selected.
5. Ensure you have configured the default domain and add the groups you want to give access to.
NT Authentication is now enabled.
Disable anonymous access
1. On your web server computer, go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Internet Services Manager. The 'Internet Information Services' dialog box appears.
2. Click the '+' sign next to the computer icon to expand the view.
3. Click the '+' sign next to the 'Default Web Site' to expand the view.
4. Right-click the Default web site folder and then click 'Properties'
5. Click the 'Directory Security' tab and then click the 'Edit' button in the 'Anonymous access and authentication control' section. The 'Authentication Methods' dialog box appears.
6. Clear the 'Anonymous access' check box.
7. Repeat the above steps for your application's virtual folder.
Anonymous access is now disabled.
Enable impersonation in your .NET application
\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 11.5\Web Content\Enterprise11\InfoView
Once the web.config file is open, use the following steps to modify this file:
1. In the <WebDesktopSettings> section, change the following values to reflect you installation:
<add key="cmsDefault" value="CMSMachineName" />
<add key="ssoEnabled" value="true" /> (changed from "false")
<add key="authenticationDefault" value="secXXXXXXX" /> (i.e. secWinAD for Windows Acitve Directory)
2. In the <system.web> section, find the authentication section and modify the following line:
From: <authentication mode="None" />
To: <authentication mode="Windows" />
3. Add the following key before the "<authentication mode="Windows" />"
<identity impersonate="true" />
Restart the IIS server for the effects to work , also make sure the servername is added in the trusted sites
And now use the following link:
[http://servername/businessobjects/enterprise115]

  • Don't see Windows NT option in authentication tab on the CMC login page

    I installed BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 3.1 and installation was successful. We are using Widows NT athentication.  I mapped the Window NT Users. Window NT Users group was populated under u2018users and groupu2019. Everything looks fine.The problem is that I am not able to see Windows NT option in authentication tab on the CMC login page. (I can see only Enterprise, LDAP and Windows AD). I can  see Windows NT option in authentication tab on the infoview login page without problem.
    I tried to reconfig the web.xml file ( I replaced 'secEnterprise' with 'secWindowsNT' but it still doesnu2019t work).
    web.xml in E:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\warfiles\WebApps\CmcApp\WEB-INF is as followed now
    <!-- You can specify the default Authentication types here -->
        <!-- secEnterprise, secLDAP, secWinAD, secSAPR3 -->
        <context-param>
            <param-name>authentication.default</param-name>
            <param-value>secWindowsNT</param-value>
        </context-param>
        <!-- Choose whether to let the user change the authentication type -->
        <!-- If it isn't shown the default authentication type from above will be used -->
        <context-param>
            <param-name>authentication.visible</param-name>
            <param-value>true</param-value>
    Any idea? Thanks

    Sherri, on page 457 of the admin guide it says:
    "The CMC and other Java-based applications do not support NT
    authentication."
    I think it's because only windows based app supports windows NT authentication but not java based ones.
    I thinkt he CMC is a java based application.

  • Bypass login page for InfoView in BOE 3.0

    Hi
    Could anyone let me know how to redirect to a user's home page on InfoView panel  directly without the login page coming in between for BOE 3.0. This functionality is currently working fine for BOE 2.0 as I am passing user credentials as name , value pair.
    I am not aware how to pass user credentials in the URL for BOE 3.0 infoview and bypass the loging page. I am working on Single Sign On

  • Error while opening MII login page

    Hello All,
    When I try to login to MII using http://<server name>/Lighthammer/Menu.jsp,It is going to http://<server name>/Lighthammer/error.jsp and displaying the error "Uanble to build user information for authorization response".I am not able to even look at the login page of MII.Please help me to resolve it.
    Ruchi

    What version of MII - 11.5?  Go onto the server and check the Security server URL from the Menu.  If you are using remote desktop and/or using the server directly then http://localhost/Lighthammer/Menu.jsp should allow you to bypass security in order to check the path to LHSecurity.

    Hello together,
    we need to build a new call from oracle Forms to new JSP PAGE ( made in ADF).

    We are using JAAS Authorization which works fine, but her comes the Problem:
    We would like to use the request parameters to authorize in JAAS automatically without any Login Screen (Login Module)
    Is there any Solution.

  • How to put a forwarder on BO Login page

    Hello,
    We only want our users to login through our customize login page and never through BO default login page. In some cases where session is getting expired, BO sends the user to the BO default login page automatically and this confuses the user.
    http://bo.abc.com:8080/PlatformServices/service/app/logon.do?appKind=InfoView...
    Is there a way to modify this logon.do page where we can put a forwarder in there that forwards any user coming to this page to our customize login page?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello,
    Making changes to Infoview is not supported, so there will be very few people who might know how to do this. You might be able to find the correct page you want to edit by finding the various pages that make up the login page. Any changes you make to any Infoview pages might be overwritten if you apply a patch or service pack. That means you'll need to keep good notes on your edits.
    You do have the ability to redirect to a specific page after logging off from Infoview, however I don't know what the behavior will be if the Enterprise session just times out and the log off button isn't actually clicked. To redirect to a specific page see KBase article (KBA) [1281092 - "How to redirect to a specified page after logging off from InfoView?|https://bosap-support.wdf.sap.corp/sap/support/notes/1281092]". You'll probably have to be logged into the [Service Marketplace|http://service.sap.com/support] (SMP) in order to view this article.
    If you can't get to the KBA here's the information it covers:

  • Partner application configuration is missing error on SSO login page

    We have APEX 3.1.2 setup as a partner application and an application within APEX setup to use SSO for authentication. Following a link to the APEX application redirects to the Single Sign-On page, as it should, but it also shows "Error: The partner application configuration is missing or expired." I type in my password and username, click the Login button, and (if I entered my username and password correctly, of course!) then the APEX application is shown. So, I cannot figure out why we're getting the no_papp_err error and I have not found any solutions to that issue on Metalink or anywhere else on the Internet. Any ideas? I'm concerned that we have a misconfiguration somewhere that is causing this error and will affect any other partner application we setup in the future.
    We're on Oracle Portal 10.1.4, SSO 10.1.2, and SSL is setup on both infra and mid tiers.

    Did you try checking the partner application entries on the SSO-login server page?
    please login as orcladmin or some other user with membership in, i beleive, iasadmins group. verify that for this partner application, what you see here corresponds to the application URL. it looks like your login page call may have issues. so check for login url too.
    also check the ORASSO.WWSSO_LS_CONFIGURATION_INFO$ for entries corresponding to Apex application.

  • Issue with adding a new value to the Default Login Page

    Hopefully this is an easy one guys, I've added a select list item to the standard login page (P101) to allow the user to select a DOMAIN as well as entering their username and password.
    When the next page is displayed and I try to retrieve the value held in the new field it has been cleared, but the values entered into items
    P101_USERNAME and P101_PASSWORD are still present.
    I can't figure out why the values held in items P101_USERNAME and P101_PASSWORD are still present but P101_DOMAIN has been cleared.
    I've tried creating a value on page zero and writing the domain value to it using pl/sql and javascript but as soon as the next page is requested the value is cleared.
    Any Ideas how to get around this????
    Thanks in advance

    I suppose your login page contains a process like this:
    BEGIN
       wwv_flow_custom_auth_std.login (p_uname           => v ('P101_USERNAME'),
                                       p_password        => :p101_password,
                                       p_session_id      => v ('APP_SESSION'),
                                       p_flow_page       => :app_id || ':1'
       :t_random_number := :p101_random_number; /* this is something I added to my code */
    END;Now, if you go to this page:
    http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=31517:1
    please note the random number assigned to you. Once you login, the same number will appear on the page 1 (near to the top).
    So, that is how you could solve your problem.
       :t_random_numberis an application item.

    Try clearing your cache, [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/How to clear the cache Instructions here]. Then, try going to [https://accounts.google.com Google Accounts]. If there is currently an account singed in, sign out, then back in. After that, try going to Google Adwords.

  • Custom Error message in Login Page

    Hi,
    I am using MVC framework for my project. I want to display custom error messages to the user in the Login page(JSP).
    For eg: invalid password, password has been expired etc. How do I pass these messages from Java to my login page & display it?

    This is a sample action class for login page in struts : -
    package xxx;
    import javax.servlet.http.HttpServletRequest;
    import javax.servlet.http.HttpServletResponse;
    import org.apache.struts.action.ActionError;
    import org.apache.struts.action.ActionErrors;
    import org.apache.struts.action.ActionForm;
    import org.apache.struts.action.ActionForward;
    import org.apache.struts.action.ActionMapping;
    import LoginForm.java;
    public class Action extends org.apache.struts.action.Action
    public ActionForward execute(ActionMapping mapping, ActionForm form,
    HttpServletRequest request, HttpServletResponse response)
    throws Exception {
    ActionErrors errors = new ActionErrors();
    ActionForward forward = new ActionForward(); // return value
    String username;
    String password;
    try {
    LoginForm lf = new LoginForm;
    username =lf.getUserName();
    password = lf.getPassword();
    if( username== null)
    forward=mapping.getInputForward();
    if( (username == "admin" ) && ( password="admin"))
    // do something here
    } catch (Exception e) {
    // Report the error using the appropriate name and ID.
    //Errors will be caught here.
    errors.add("name", new ActionError("id"));
    // If a message is required, save the specified key(s)
    // into the request for use by the <struts:errors> tag.
    if (!errors.isEmpty()) {
    saveErrors(request, errors);
    // Forward control to the appropriate 'failure' URI (change name as desired)
    //     forward = mapping.findForward("failure");
    } else {
    // Forward control to the appropriate 'sucuess' URI (change name as desired)
    forward = mapping.findForward("success");
    // Finish with
    return (forward);
    You need to have LoginForm.java as Model and Login.jsp as View . Action.java will be your controller.

  • Login Page not getting Displayed after 10.1.3 Home Upgrade in R12

    Hi,
    We are performing an Upgrade of 12.0.6 to 12.1.1.
    We have just finished the upgrade of 10.1.3 Home to 10.1.3.4. After the successful completetion of Patchset Installation, as a part of Instance
    Validation , we found that we were not able to get the R12 Login Page displayed.
    On Checking the Apache Logs, The Error Message looked as below:
    [Tue Jun 30 03:08:36 2009] [error] [client 159.182.123.2] [ecid: 1246345716:168.146.11.159:585784:0:2,0] File does not exist:
    /u18/app/HUTLcomn/apps/HUTL_oldtut353/portal/OA_HTML/AppsLocalLogin.jsp
    But AppsLocalLogin.jsp in our environment is located in the correct location
    $OA_HTML
    oldtut353:orapps(app):HUTL:[home/orapps] echo $OA_HTML
    /u18/app/HUTLcomn/webapps/oacore/html
    oldtut353:orapps(app):HUTL:[home/orapps] cd
    $OA_HTML
    oldtut353:orapps(app):HUTL:[u18/app/HUTLcomn/webapps/oacore/html] ls -ltr AppsLocalLogin
    -rw------- 1 orapps dba 4094 Jun 16 02:03 AppsLocalLogin.jsp
    It is reading the AppsLocalLogin.jsp from a non existent Location < INST_TOP>/portal/OA_HTML/AppsLocalLogin.jsp
    I have run the autoconfig successfuly in all the Application Tiers and generated Product JAR Files. But still the Error Exists.
    Please help to resolve this issue.

    Thank You Helios.
    The thread which you had mentioned in your previous reply had the similar issue which i was facing.
    I moved forward with the remaining Pre-Upgrade Tasks, Applied Maintainence Pack and then completed the Post Upgrade Tasks.
    I am very delighted to let you know that my Upgrade from 12.0.6 to 12.1.1 was successful. I got the feeling of GLADIATOR :) when I saw the Login Page appearing for the first
    time after the Upgrade.
    Thank you all for your help and Support.
    Thanks,Varun

  • Error: Partner application configuration is missing ... on SSO login page

    We have APEX 3.1.2 setup as a partner application and an application within APEX setup to use SSO for authentication. Going to the APEX application redirects to the Single Sign-On page, as it should, but it also shows "Error: The partner application configuration is missing or expired." I type in my password and username, click the Login button, and (if I entered my username and password correctly), it redirects me to the APEX application just like it should. So, I cannot figure out why we're getting the no_papp_err error and I have not found any solutions to that issue on metalink or anywhere else on the Internet. Any ideas?
    We're on Oracle Portal 10.1.4, SSO 10.1.2, and SSL is setup for both.

  • ADF Application and Oracle Portal Login Page

    We have developed ADF application and deployed it in Oracle AS 10.1.2 along with the custom JAAS module, which is working fine with the application custom login page. As a next page, I want to use Oracle Portal login page for the authentication and authorization.
    How can I accomplished it? Any idea?
    Thanks,
    AP

    Shay,
    1. I created blank ADF project
    2. I copied myreport.jsp file (this one was generated by Oracle Report Builder) under ..ViewController/public_html directory
    3. Created directory 'lib' under ViewController/public_html/WEB-INF/lib
    4. Copied reports_tld.jar file under the directory created in 3.
    5. Created simple jspx page with the af:link (btw af:goLink does not exists in JDev 12c), set 'destination' to myreport.jsp
    After the steps above I could not even compile the application, many problems too many to list here, Basically JDev is trying to build the project with .jsp file generated in Report Builder and is unable to.
    So to be sure we are on the same page: I am trying to embed JSP report files generated by Report Builder into ADF project, then create EAR file and deploy on standalone WLS. Finally execute JSP web only report.
