  • FF not connecting to web- This "Network Connections" message pops up: Error 623: The system could not find the phone book entry for this connection. Any ideas?

About a month ago I could no longer connect to the internet on our PC. Every time I clicked on the Firefox icon the Netscape sign-on window would pop up. I would try to close it but it would pop up over and over again. If I tried to close it a dozen or so times eventually Firefox would open up but it would never connect. Just today I moved my Netscape file to the recycle bin. No longer does the Netscape sign-on window pop up but following Network Connection error message pops up: "Error 623: The system could not find the phone book entry for this connection".. This error window behaves the same way the Netscape sign-on window used to behave. Every time I click to close it it pops open again. After numerous clicks Firefox opens up but it never connects.

Do you have this error message on a Mac computer or on a Windows computer?
I've only seen this error mentioned on a Windows computer.

  • Phone Book Entries Mixed Up on Audi Handsfree !

Does anyone know how to keep the phone book entries (contacts) showing in the right order when conected, via bluetooth on my Audi A4 ? The A4 is the latest model (2009) and the iPhone is brand new (Dec' 09). The problem is , that if an entry is :- Mike Mobile it will be Mobile Mike on the car display !! This is a massive problem as i'm sure you can imagine. Please Help, Thanks Cotters.

This is a problem with the Audi system that can only sort name lists in the order of the last name. I'm having the same problem on my A6 (2009 model). I'm afraid, there is nothing you can do about, other than editing your contacts in a way, that the mobile phone number goes into a special field of your contact "Mike". The Audi will than give you a selection, which number you want to call (i.e. mobile, home, or office). I know this is painful, but at the end it also helps you when dealing with a large number of contacts in the iPhone.
Sorting by the last name is a common thing in name lists in Germany unfortunately, so I won't be too optimistic about Audi changing this.

  • Sim phone book missing

Hope someone can help. I won the Blackberry Z10 phone (it's awesome!) and am learning to use it. I previously had the Tour 9630 (yeah...finally caught up) wanted to transfer my contacts. As per instruction to copy contacts from my SIM card to my old device's built in storage in my contact list on my old phone I should go to Contacts, then Menu > Sim Phone Book > Copy All To Contact. What's the problem? I don't see "Sim Phone Book" step when I hit the menu key! Where is it or if it is hidden, how do I retrieve it??? Help!!!

You should open your BlackBerry Address Book or Contacts.
Scoll down in the menu listing to SIM Phone Book. You should see it adjacent to "Filters".

  • Ordinary Typeface Special Phone Book Entry - how t...

My wife and I have had a BT phone account for many years. I am the named account holder, and long ago we requested an additional phone book entry in my wife's name.
I believe (but am not absolutely sure) that the item "Ordinary Typeface Special Phone Book Entry" in my quarterly bill refers to this entry. It has recently rocketed from 19.50 GBP per quarter to 31.35 - a more than 50% increase! (It was 10.50 in 2009.)
I tried calling 0800 800 150 and, when I eventually got through, I spent about 10 minutes trying to verify this with the person at the other end. Unfortunately it was clear that she had no idea what I was talking about. She at last offered to transfer me to a specialist helpline - but a recorded message said it was "out of hours" and cut me off.
Please could someone give me the number of the helpline for this kind of enquiry, so that I can avoid wasting further time?  We shall probably want to cancel this Special Phone book entry service, so is there another line that I can call to do that?

  • Can I sync phone book entries of two different phones into one address book

My wife and I have two motoroal phones (different models) and one iMac at home. I have synced my phonebook entries in the address book and it works fine. Trouble started when I tried to sync my wife's phone. All my numbers and details got downloaded in her phone. creating a seperate sub directory for her didn't help.
Can someone help me solve the problem? Essentially the question is can two phones have exclusive (and independent of each other) access to the address book for syncing purposes? If yes how?
I hope my question was clear enough. Help will be really appreciated.
I use the motorola USB connection chord for the syncing.

Just set up two Groups in Address Book. One with your contacts in, and one with your wifes.
Then in iSync, click the icon for your wife's phone and choose the Address Book group you made for her, then do the same for your phone.

  • SIM phone book

Hello everyone! Does anyone out there know how to export all contacts (stored on device memory) onto your SIM card? I know how to import contacts FROM a SIM card but I can't find an easy way of saving all contacts to a SIM card other than saving them one by one. Thanks.

Unfortunately that is the only way at the moment - one at a time. Do you just want to have a backup of your contacts data? If so it would be easier to use the Backup and Restore feature of the Desktop Manager to backup your BlackBerry data to a file on your computer. This way it can be restored to that device or any other BlackBerry.

  • Phone book not saving entries

i recently got my blackberry pearl and im having some problems with it
i go to my address book and its saying 'no addresses' so i put on in it and saved but when i go back to the address book it still says 'no addresses' so then i found out how to switch to sim card phone book and copy them to phonebook from there and it says it was doing it but then when i went back to phone book it still says 'no addresses'
how can i move my contacts from my sim to my adresses book without having to go in and find them in my sim card?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

You can do them all at one time, by accessing your SIM card at Address Book > Menu > SIM Phone Book > Copy all .
Then after, back in the address book, make sure at Address Book > Menu > Filters, that NO filters are checked.

  • Pearl 8110 can't copy phone book in SIM to phone

For some reason I can not copy the contents of my SIM phone book to the "Contacts" phone book. I go through the steps listed and it looks like the contents are being coppied but when I go to the Contacts list it shows no contents. I do not know if I did something wrong or the firm ware has gone south. I have taken the battery out and then replaced it trying to restore it to factory setting but that did not seem to work. I am running V4.5.0.182
    I hope someone can help.
    Thanks,

Hi John1942 and welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums!
Its possible you may have a Filter set in your BlackBerry® smartphone's Address Book.  From the Address Book, press the menu key and choose Filter.  If there are any boxes checked, remove the check mark then check the Address Book again.
    Thanks.

  • TMS - Manage Phone Book Sources - Cannot display the group into TP endpoints

    Hi,
I just deployed the TMS to make the provision function and manage the TP endpoints.
Actually, one contact assigned for one TP enpoint, e.g. SX20, which have the different call methods, e.g. SIP:[email protected]; H323:192.168.10.20; H323 ID:3899
After pushed the contact to TP endpoint, but we just saw the 1st address (SIP:[email protected]) call click to call on Directory.
Only can show the [SIP:[email protected]] on the TP Directory ... Cannot have a group on TP directory show?

What is the default call protocol the SX20 is using?  I'd amuse it would be SIP, because you only saw the SIP address in the directory.
If you want all phone book entries to show regardless of the endpoint's default call protocol, you can set "Route Phone Book entries" to No in Administrative Tools > Configuration > General Settings.
Yes is the default setting, which means that endpoints will only display addresses that they are capable of dialling. For example, on an H.323-only endpoint, ISDN numbers and SIP addresses will not be displayed.
No means that the endpoints will display all addresses and numbers in the phone book regardless of their dialling capabilities.
Make sure that each endpoint is allowed to dial out using H323 and SIP under Navigator > Systems > Edit Settings.
Also, instead of a manual phone book source, why don't you have the phone book pull from the list of endpoints in a folder using the "Cisco TMS Endpoints" as a phone book source.  It will pull contain all the calling methods for the endpoints in whatever folder you specify.  Would be easier to manage than manual phone book sources.

  • Transfering Access phone book from PC to iPhone

When I select all phone book entries and mail them as vCard only one entry is sent and I have 2000.
How does one transfer a data base of 19000 addresses ?

With Windoze, the iPhone supports syncing contacts with Outlook 2003 or 2007 along with syncing calendar events, or with Windows Contacts for syncing contacts only.
Import the vCard or vCards with a supported application on your computer followed by selecting the supported application under the Info tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes followed by a sync.

  • 8830 phone book number to name matching

I have a BB 8830 World Edition. My service provider is Reliance.
The phone numbers stored in the phone book start with (+91) National Code for India and then the 10 digit mobile number or 8 digit mobile number.
Its the same way on my Nokia E51 and iPhone. When I get a call, the name is matched with the number correctly on the Nokia and iPhone. While on my BB, the name is not matched.
I found that only when the mobile number starts with 0 and then the 10 digit mobile number is the name correctly mapped on the BB. Why does the standard mapping on all other phones does not work with BB? The standard National Code + Phone number mapping used to work with my previous Moto Razr too. Why does it not work with BB?

I'm not sure the "why" is really important.
Set your County code at Phone (press the green dial key) > Options > Smart Dialing. Enter you country code there and national number length and remove your leading country code from the phone book entries.

  • Contacts issues - send contacts to at&t phone book or sim card? and un able to unsync email contact list with phone contact list

I have had several issues with my contacts on this phone. I cannot figure out how to send my contacts to the at&t phone book or to my sim card. The options/menu button in contacts is completely useless. It should give me the option on the sim card to transfer contacts form one list to another. I have already written on another forum about the contact list not letting me unsync one of my email contact lists and how I have 3 copies of all of my contacts because my email contacts are mixed in with my phone contacts.
BB really needs to fix this issue with the contact list because it is beyond frustrating. I even downloaded the new BB software today and it still hasn't been fixed.

OK...so this post is strictly about wanting to send your contacts to the SIM. That capability is one at a time only. And there's a reason for that.
The BB Address Book is robust, allowing you to have one name with multiple phone numbers and addresses. The SIM phonebook, on the other hand, is much less capable...if, for instance, you have one contact with three phone numbers in your BB Address Book, the SIM phonebook would require three separate entries to contain the same data (with the obvious duplication of the name on three separate records).
So, I must ask...why on earth do you want to send your contacts to your SIM? There are much better methods for moving your contacts from the BB to somewhere else...

    Thanks.

Go to contacts > options > mark all > copy to SIM memory.
The phone will not copy all the data for contacts with multiple entries. It will only copy the 1st line.
