Calander Date format(month year)

Hi All,
  I am using the Date format (month year, 'January 2009') to  QaaWs as a input. But when i go into Xcelsius calendar i am trying to give the same format but its not taking  as same as mentioned above( I customize the cell in xcelsius spread sheet as month year). Is there any thing to change?
Please help me.
Thanks in advance.
Muvva

The month in words datatype is FCLTX.
If you have the date field, you can convert to your required format.
data : out_date(20) type c.
DATA : ws_fcmnr TYPE fcmnr,
       ws_month TYPE fcltx.
parameter   date like sy-datum.
ws_fcmnr = date+4(2).
SELECT SINGLE ltx
INTO ws_month
FROM t247
WHERE mnr = ws_fcmnr
and spras = 'EN'.
concatenate ws_month date6(2) date0(4) into out_date separated by space.
write out_date.
Thanks,
Susmitha

  • Routine to convert the date into month/year

    Hi friends,
    I have requirement like I have 0billdate, but i want only month and year in that.  So i have created a z object  for that taking reference as 0calmonth.  I think the format is yyyymm.
    So now I want to write a routine which converts the date to month/year.  If anybody know this please let me know.
    Regards
    San Reddy

    Hi
    in the trnasfer rule or in the update rule select the Zinfo object to which you need to do conversion
    in details select formula and create.
    Select all functions and follow the steps below.
    use the conversion function DATE_MONTH( )
    Short Text
    Function: Date -> Month
    Functionality
    Calculates the month from a specified date.
    Requirements
    The date must appear in the format yyyymmdd.
    Parameters
    DATE_MONTH (date)
    Result
    The result is calculated in the format yyyymm.

  • Date for Month year only?

    I Have a report being done where, the user wants to see the 'slow moving inventory' for a 2 month period.
    It's not automatic, the past 2 months. they can select which 2 months they want. So, I was thinking of the best way for the parameters.
    Maybe just have them enter one? month/year. but in any case if i do a from and to, I dont' need the entire calender- is there  a way to display just the month and year? if not i can create the parameter that way.

    I would create a command (SQL Select statement) to use for data for a dynamic prompt.  It might look something like this in Oracle (allows for two full calendar years in the past):
    Select distinct
    To_Char(OrderDate, 'MMM-YYYY')  as MonthYear
    from Orders
    where EXTRACT(Year from OrderDate) >= (EXTRACT(Year from Sysdate) - 2)
    Or like this in SQL Server:
    Select distinct
    Left(DateName(month, OrderDate), 3) + '-' + DateName(year, OrderDate) as MonthYear
    from Orders
    where Year(OrderDate) >= (Year(GetDate()) - 2)
    DO NOT link the command to anything in the report - its sole purpose is to provide data for a dynamic prompt.  Crystal will complain that this is generally not supported, but it will work in this situation.
    Now create a dynamic parameter that will use this data - DO NOT use any other data from your report tables!  This parameter will identify the start month for the report.
    Lastly, you'll need to create a two formulas - one that will calculate the start date from the parameter value and another that will create the end date.  If the parameter is called {?StartMonth}, they might look like this:
    {@StartDate}
    StringVar monthName := UpperCase(Left({?StartMonth}, 3));
    //get the month number
    NumberVar mn := Switch (
      monthName = 'JAN', 1,
      monthName = 'FEB', 2,
      monthName = 'DEC', 12);
    //get the Year number
    NumberVar yr := ToNumber(Right({?StartMonth}, 4));
    //return the first day of the start month:
    Date(yr, mn, 1)
    {@EndDate}
    //Subtract one day from the start of the month 2 months after the start date to get the end of the
    //month after the start date
    DateAdd('m', 2, {@StartDate})  -  1
    Use these formulas in your selection criteria for your report.

  • URGENT - BI Publisher - Get Last Date of Month/Year

    Hello,
    I want to get the last date of a year/month through BI Publisher. We want to do it by creating a list of values containing the month/year name (i.e. January, February, March for month or 2004 2005 2006 for year) and when the user selects one of this values to get the last date of the month or year in order to select the correct number of records.

    Hi,
    try with a LOV like the following:
    select
    to_char(add_months(trunc(sysdate,'MONTH'),-level),'Month - YYYY') display_value,
    last_day(add_months(trunc(sysdate,'MONTH'),-level)) return_value
    from dual
    connect by level <=12
    which gives you the last 12 month from today.

  • European date format?

    Hi,
    I've been using the auto-formatting function for dates quite a lot, but I've noticed it only seems to do the US date format: month/day/year, as opposed to the European format: day/month/year, which is what I'm used to using.
    Is there a preference for this somewhere?
    I've set up my computer so that the system is in English, maybe that has something to do with it too.
    I'd like 12/5/2009 to mean May 12, 2009 for example, not December 5...
    Thanks for any tips!
    Alexandra

    Quit Numbers
    Open the "International" System preferences pane
    Select the "Format" tab
    Define the medium format this way:
    Close the pane
    Launch Numbers.

  • How does one change the date format for PlayMemories Home folders?

    I am using PlayMemories Home Version 2.0.00.11271 and have many folders within it which contain only photographs imported from my Sony DSC-H9.  Unfortunately, PlayMemories Home insists upon dating all folders in a month/day/year manner; and this makes little sense if one wishes to have the folders listed in logical chronological order.  How can I change the date format to year/month/day?  Changing the name of each folder, one by one, will take a very long time!  Your helpful advice in this matter will be greatly appreciated.  Thank you. System information:
    Operating system: Microsoft Windows XP Professional
    Service pack : Service Pack 3
    Memory: 1.5 GB
    Processor:         Intel(R) Pentium(R) M processor 1.86GHz
    Max. clock speed: 1.86
    Manufacturer: IBM
    Model: 1847W76
    System language setting: English (United States)
    User language setting: English (United States)

    I too thought that the folder naming format was obviously wrong and couldn't find a way to change it. I do agree that placing photos in folders according to when they were taken is a great idea. I had been considering writing some software to do just that. After discovering that PlayMemories does it, I had it re-import all my photos. Then I wrote a small Perl script to rename all of the folders into year-month-day format. Included here is the Perl script. It only acts on a single folder - use it on the root folder where all the PlayMemories folders are. It will rename all folders currently in a month-day-year format. I used it without problems but of course there is no guarentee that it is error free. This should work with any common version of Perl. Tom # There should be one command line argument: the directory to act upon

     print "Usage: RenameDirs <dir>\n";
     print " Where dir is the directory containing the directories to rename.\n";
     exit;
    $mydir = $ARGV[0];
    chdir $mydir or die "Couldn't chdir to $mydir: $!";
    opendir(ROOTPHOTODIR, ".") or die "Failed to open the pictures directory $mydir: $!";
    @allphotodirs = readdir ROOTPHOTODIR;

       print " and has the proper format: month $1 day $2 year $3 and will be renamed to ";
       $newname = sprintf "%4u-%02u-%02u", $3, $1, $2;
       print "$newname\n";
       rename $dir, $newname or die "failed to rename $dir to $newname: $!";

       print " but is not of the proper format\n"

  • Group by month/year from DATE FORMAT column

    Hi Chaps,
    I have a recordset that pulls data from a database, then presents the data in a table. The data is grouped by 'projid', repeated for every 'projid', with a show/hide control, to show all the 'jobid's' relating to that particular 'projid'
    This is what I have so far:
    Code:
    SELECT

    tbl_projects.projdue, DATE_FORMAT(tbl_projects.projdue, '%%d/%%m/%%Y') as projdue_format,

    tbl_projects.projcompletedate
    tbl_languaget.langtname,
    tbl_doctype.doctypename,
    tbl_jobs.jobid,
    tbl_jobs.FK_projid,
    tbl_jobs.jobname,

  • IPhoto only accepts date/month/year format for pics?

    I'm trying to add the dates to many old photos that I have in my iPhoto, version 8.1.2.
    Unfortunately, I have many years of photos in there, and I can't remember exact dates of many photos.
    And so I just want to at least put the month and the year. Or sometimes, I'll just remember the year.
    But iPhoto will only let me use a date/month/year format. Odd.
    Is there any way around this?
    Somehow, many of my old photos that have been transfered from old computers have dates assigned to them that are crazy, like 1960....etc.
    I can just make up a date and a month, but that takes more time, and furthermore it will be wrong info.
    I don't want that.
    It seems silly that I can't just put the year alone.
    Any thoughts?
    thank you!

    it also seems like the albums of photos will use the date of the earliest photo in the album, and the newest photo in the album to create a "from" field and a "to" field, in the "info" section at the bottom left of the application, when the Album is highlighted.
    This means that I have to manually correct every single photo in my albums, so that the album date range will read correctly?
    thanks again...
