Calculations across multiple columns

I am a virgin to iOS Numbers on the iPad and need to prove it’s worth in work. I have a spreadsheet where I have to calculate the number of entries matching 3 criteria in a row:
by Date (Month),type of job (e.g. bathroom or kitchen) and against a score range of <=6
I have the data in aworksheet called Data! and the calculations are made in a separate worksheet,Calculations!
The formula I havebeen using in Excel is:
=SUMPRODUCT((Data!$A:$A=B220)*(Data!$E:$E<=6)*(Data!$L:$L=B219))
B220 is a cell containing the date I am looking for in Data! A:A (e.g. Jan, Feb)
Column E contains the value; I am looking for scores of 6 and less
B219 is a cell containing the type of work in text format to be looked for in Data! Column L
And this is spot on giving me a numeric value for example for all kitchen works in June with ascore of 6 or less.
In Numbers I have tried to transpose this:
=SUMPRODUCT((Data::Table1::A: =B220)*( Data::Table 1::E<=6)*( Data::Table 1::L=B219))
But it doesn’t work I have scoured the net and the on line help for iOS numbers is as useful as a chocolate fireguard.  I even tried my local Apple store to no avail
Can anyone throw some light on the right direction I need to head in before I throw in the towel and get everyone on Roambi which works with the excel output

CAUTION, I'm not sure that COUNTIFS behave flawlessly in Numbers for iOS.
If I remember well it's one of the functions which failed in the document which I tried to make usable soon after the delivery of Numbers for iPad.

  • Region across multiple column

    I have a page with two columns. The regions can be allocated in two columns. For example:
    Region1 Region2
    Region3 Region4
    Region5 Region6
    I want the first region to be across two columns, like this:
    Region 1
    Region2 Region3
    Region4 Region5
    Region6 Region6
    How could I do it? Because in APEX you have to specfy which column the region is going to be.
    Tried use colspan="2" in HTML attribute, but it does'nt work.

    Do one thing,
    In the User Interface property of the region 1 select the Display Point as "Page template Body(1.....)"
    and after that from Region 2 select Display Point as "Page template Body(2.....)"
    and select the column(1 or 2) accordingly.

  • Full text query across multiple columns

    In the SQL Server, when you do the full text query, you can specify multiple columns, e.g.
    FREETEXT ( { column_name | [b](column_list) | * } , 'freetext_string' [ , LANGUAGE language_term ] )
    CONTAINS ( { column_name | [b](column_list) | * } , '< contains_search_condition>' [ , LANGUAGE language_term ])
    Where,
    column_list Indicates that several columns, separated by a comma, can be specified...
    * Specifies that all columns in the table registered for full-text searching should be used to search for the given contains search condition. The columns in the CONTAINS clause must come from a single table...
    That makes full text query cross multiple columns very convenient. Are there any mechnisms in Oracle to do the same thing?
    Thanks in advance.

    Thanks for your reply.
    I knew that you could build full text index for the multiple columns using Oracle Text. But that does not solve my problem, which is how to build the query to search multiple columns at once. Say, I have columns firstname, lastname, address, and email in the table customers. I want to get the results that ANY column contains 'bob'. In SQL Server, I can do
    select * from customers where contains(*, 'bob')
    that is. But for Oracle, I have to do
    select * from customers where contains('firstname', 'bob') or contains('lastname', 'bob') or contains('address', 'bob') or contains('email', 'bob')
    Can you imagine if I have many columns in many tables and I have to do the query against all columns in all tables? I have to dynamically get all the columns and then build the query string.
    So, any better solutions?

  • How do I search for common values across multiple columns?

    I am coordinating a schedule with 5 people across hundreds of dates, and have columns A-E filled with many rows of dates. How can I make a new column that displays all the dates (values) that each person (column) has in common with all the others?
    Is there a simple formula for this?
    thanks!

    Scarampella,
    A second table can be used to find your matching dates.
    Here's an example:
    The formula in Matching Dates is:
    =IF(ISERROR(MATCH(A,Table 1 :: A, 0)+MATCH(A,Table 1 :: B, 0)+MATCH(A,Table 1 :: C, 0)+MATCH(A,Table 1 :: D, 0)+MATCH(A,Table 1 :: E, 0)), "", A)
    Basically, I look for matches in each person's list of dates, and if any fail to produce a match with the date being examined, the result is a miss, and if all match, it's a hit. You can sort the result to get a short list of matches without spaces.

  • Modifying datatype of columns across multiple tables

    Hi,
    I have a requirement where-in I have to modify the datatypes of columns across multiple tables. Is there any direct way to do this? I mean does oracle has any function or in-built functionality to achieve this.
    Example;
    Table1 -> col1 datatype needs to be changed to varchar2(10)
    Table2 -> col2 datatype needs to be changed to varchar2(30)
    Table3 -> col3 datatype needs to be changed to number.
    and so on....
    Do we have such functionality?
    Thanks,
    Ishan

    Hi Aman,
    Seeing the replies, I think I was unclear in the requirements. But I guess you understood it fully, but still I would like to restate my question once again, just to be 100% sure.
    What I actually want is that in one shot, I would be able to modify columns of multible tables.
    eg, table1-> col1 changed to varchar2(20);
    table2->col2 changed to varchar2(10)
    table3-> col3 changed to number;
    I know how to do it individually, but just wanted to check, if only one command can modify the datatypes of multiple tables/.
    If not, I have already written half the script, but just for knowledge sake wanted to check if some feature is available in oracle for that.
    Regards,
    Ishan

  • Concatenate a column value across multiple rows - PDW

    We are using PDW based on SQL2014. We require an efficient logic on how to concatenate a column value across multiple rows. We have the following table

  • How do I total across multiple Tables? Help!

    how do I total across multiple Tables? Help!
    I feel like a complete noob.

    Hi Marc,
    There is no function explicitly for that sort of array calculation in Numbers.
    My favorite way is to use a list of Table Names and the INDIRECT(ADDRESS) function combination to produce a SUM across tables. I'm making the assumption that you want to do something like adding up all the values in a particular cell of multiple tables.  For example "give me the total of all the A1 cells in tables T1, T2, T3 and T4".  For this I would use the formula:
    =INDIRECT(ADDRESS(1,1,1,,A))
    to grab the cell contents of the table names mentioned in column A of a summary table.  Once you have them collected in your summary table, add them up.
    Here's a screen shot...
    Hope that gives you an idea for approaching this problem.

  • Crystal Report multiple columns

    I'm having trouble with Crystal Report's multiple columns in the detail section.
    The details section, the multiple columns is checked then the printing direction is across - down. Since the form I am using is a pre-printed form, by estimation it can only allow at best 30 records in one page, that is 15 in the 1st half of the column and another 15 records on the next. For visual:
    Invoice No    Invoice Date        invoice total                                               Invoice No    Invoice Date        invoice total
    1                                                                                16
    2                                                                                17
    3                                                                                .
    .                                                                                28
    14                                                                                29
    15                                                                                30
    For some reason there is this giant space after the last set of rows before it prints out the page footer. This giant blank section disrupts the layout of the page footer section.
    Here are some info on the details section as configuration is involved:
    Format with  Multiple Columns - checked
    In Paging: New Page after 30 visible Records
    In Layout: Width: 3.5 in       Height: 0.0 in
                     Horizontal: 0.0 in      Vertical: 0.0 in
    Printing Direction: Across-Down
    Anyone knows how to suppress it or have the page footer move upwards?
    P.S To see actual pre-printed form, please download this [http://www.mediafire.com/i/?csu0q75mjynys2k]

    Now why didn't I try that out. Actually, initial plan was 2 subreports.
    So when I added the second subreport in the group footer section, it only prints the details on the last page, which should not be the case as I need to be printed on all pages.
    I'll test it out. I'll post an update soon.
    Thanks.

    I'm having issues with the way the data is displaying.I am using the Format Multiple Columns.I have 3 across set.I have the Down and Across checked.My report with the 3 columns is a custom labels sheet.I need to have the down part always be 8 columns.i can't set that anywhere like the 3 columns across.as the sheet used to print the info are labels and perforated for each label (column)I have the following:1.
    Group Header #1 on InvoiceNumber. This have my invoice header
    information related to the customer of the invoice. Keep Together
    selected.2. Group Header #2 on a formula {@sort}. This is suppressed and as  a {@reset} formula in it.3. Details section has {@accum} and section suppressed. Keep Together selected.4. Group Footer #2 as the {@display} formula with Paragraph Formatting. Keep Together selected.5. Group Footer #1 on InvoiceNumber has add'l customer related info for the invoice.so 5 sections in my design view with 2 groups.It'll display the information in InvoiceNumber order in ascending order down first.But the last one on the 1st column is only part of the invoice info and the rest of it starts from the top of the 2nd column.and
    then shifts all the columns according to that. Which of course then
    does not print on the allotted space of the actual label. part of info
    is on one and the rest on another.obviously this won't work. I think i tried everything I can think of and I'm not expert. Barely a novice at this.any help would be appreciated!

         yr, mnth, region;I wouldn't recommend storing your data for year / month in 2 columns like that unless you have a really good reason. I would store it as a date column and add a check constraint to ensure that the date is always the first of the month, then format it out as you wish to the client.

  • Multiple columns and rows in MessageService

    I am attempting to create a message (via MessageService) which has multiple lines of data, and each line has multiple data columns.
    Background:  My program reads data from a web store, and creates Sales Orders in SBO.  A single run might process multiple orders.  When all orders have been entered, the program should send a (single) message to a list of recipients.  The message will have one line of data for each sales order produced.  Each line will contain two fields: the linked SBO sales order number, and the unlinked web order number.
    When the message is initially created, I'm defining the multiple columns and initializing the data lines:
    pMessageDataColumns = oMessage.MessageDataColumns
    pMessageDataColumn = pMessageDataColumns.Add()
    pMessageDataColumn.ColumnName = "SalesOrder"
    pMessageDataColumn.Link = BoYesNoEnum.tYES
    pMessageDataColumn = pMessageDataColumns.Add()
    pMessageDataColumn.ColumnName = "WebOrder"
    pMessageDataColumn.Link = BoYesNoEnum.tNO
    oLines = pMessageDataColumn.MessageDataLines()
    Later, as each Sales Order is processed, I'm attempting to inject the two data values into the message data:
    oLine = oLines.Add()
    oLine.Value = Str(pOrd.DocNum)
    oLine.Object = 17
    oLine.ObjectKey = Str(pOrd.DocEntry)
    oLine = oLines.Add()
    oLine.Value = pOrd.WebOrder
    The above code would be invoked for each Sales Order processed.  However, it generates an "Internal error (-5002) occurred" when the message is ultimately sent.
    The SDK documentation states:
    The MessageDataLine is a child data structure related to the MessageDataColumn. It contains the value of a specified cell in the Data table, which is defined by its column number (vtIndex of Item of MessageDataColumns) and row number (vtIndex of Item of MessageDataLines).
    I guess I don't understand the relationship between adding a "line" in my data display versus adding data into a "column".  It appears that the "oLines.Add()" is used to bump across the columns of the data.  If so, how do I advance to the next entire row of data in the message?
    Thanks, Dave

  • Multiple columns in a data file, but accounts not periods

    Hi there,
    A very quick question.
    If I have a data file with, for example AcctDetail down the side and accounts across the top, am I right in thinking I can't load like this? Is it only periods that can be in multiple columns?
    I'm trying to adapt an existing file, without changing it too much, but I think this might be beyond BPC!
    Thanks,
    Jason

    Hi there,
    The data I'm loading is actually Intercompany data for one unit, for one period.
    So I have my affiliate (or counterparty, whatever term you use) down the rows, and the designated intercompany accounts across the top.
    I don't need multiple columns for periods, as I'm only loading one period, but I would prefer to use multiple columns for Accounts dimension instead.
    I know I can nest affiliates and accounts in the rows, but as I mentioned I would rather avoid changing the data file as much as possible.
    Hope that make sense!
    Thanks,
    Jason

    A3015400R-2,A3015318R-1,A3015318R-2,A3015336R-1,A3015423R-1,A3015423R-2,A3015486R-1,A30153 06R-1,A3015240R-1,A3015102R-1,A3015333R-1,A3015120R-1,A3015158R-1,A3015333R-1,A3015400R-3, A3015400R-6,A3015400R-7,A3015234R-1,A3015234R-2,A3015400R-9,A3015306R-5,A3015311R-1,A30154 00R-2,A3015318R-1,A3015318R-2,A3015336R-1,A3015423R-1,A3015423R-2,A3015486R-1,A3015306R-1, A3015240R-1,A3015102R-1,A3015333R-1,A3015120R-1,A3015158R-1,A3015333R-1,A3015400R-3,A30154 00R-6,A3015400R-7,A3015234R-1,A3015234R-2,A3015400R-9,A3015306R-5,A3015311R-1
    That I would like to be displayed in columns across the page within one text field. So that the text field would look like this (approximately):
    A3015400R-2
    A3015318R-1
    A3015318R-2
    A3015336R-1
    A3015423R-1
    A3015423R-2
    A3015486R-1
    A3015306R-1
    A3015240R-1
    A3015102R-1
    A3015333R-1
    A3015120R-1
    I have the data sorted before I populate, so they go in numerical order, and i would like the be able to read them from top to bottom, left to right.
    I just can't figure out how to either:
    a) add multiple columns like I add multiple lines inside a text field
    or
    b) have multiple text fields linked together to thread the text input from fieldA to fieldB
    Any help would be much appreciated.
    edit: The data is actually in this format:
    A3015400R-2
    A3015318R-1
    A3015318R-2
    A3015336R-1
    A3015423R-1
    A3015423R-2
    A3015486R-1
    A3015306R-1
    A3015240R-1
    A3015102R-1

    Did you ever find any solutions to this problem?

  • Indexing multiple columns in multiple tables

    I have a multiple tables in which I want to search. I need to do text search that supports fuzzy logic for which I've currently set up a context index using the user_datastore. I also need to search columns such as numbers/dates/timestamps which from what I understand is not supported with the context search. I'm looking at setting up a second index of type ctxcat for this purpose - but I will need to index multiple columns in multiple tables. Is this possible?
    Can someone advise on the best way to create indexes and search when a table schema such as the following exists. I've tried to keep it simple by just giving a few example columns and tables.
    Order Table
    - Has columns related to the order details - order name (varchar2), description (varchar2), date order placed (timestamp), date order completed (date), order amount (number), customer Id
    Customer Table
    - Has columns related to the customer information - customer name, address, city, state, telephone etc (all varchar2 fields)
    Items Table
    - Has details about the items being ordered - item name (varchar2), item description (varchar2), cost (number) etc
    Order-Item Table
    - Table that maps an order to the items in that order - orderId, itemId, quantity
    Comments Table
    - Logs any comments with the customer - comment description (varchar2), call type (varchar2), comment date (timestamp)
    Currently with the Context index, I have it set up so I can search all text columns in all tables for a search term. This works fine.
    I now need to be able to do more advanced searches, where I can search for a specific text in all orders as well as orders created after a certain date or orders above a certain amount or orders with a item quantity purchase of more that 10. The text has to be searched across the all text columns in all tables. How can I achieve this with Oracle Text?

  • Budget Scenarios - multiple columns

    Hi,
    i have a question and I hope you can help me.
    John-Michael Davis already helped me but what he told me did not help me much unfortunately, because what he told me, was done:
    "I suspect that you have enabled cost accounting in one database and not the other. You can enable cost accounting from system initialization -> Settings -> Cost Accounting Tab."
    I have two databases in different environments. In one, the budget can appear in multiple columns but another can not. In this issue, just put the sequence of steps do i try to put the columns of the Cost Accounting.
    What am I doing wrong?
    I'll explain through pictures, because it's more simple for me to explain.
    This image (from another database), appears the extra columns:
    The sequence that I do to appear the columns:
    General Settings - Cost Account using 2 dimensions:
    General Settings - Budget defined:
    Chart of Accounts -> G/L Accounts master data extension check box
    2 Cost Centers for different Dimensions:
    Distribution Rules of the 2 Cost Centers:
    The distribution rules associate at the Dimension "Areas" that correspond at the first Dimension don't present Stelle_z -> Centro Geral?
    Table of Cost Centers and Distribution Rules for the two Dimensions
    Cost Center Hierarchy for two Dimensions
    A Small example of Reports:
    Cost Center Report
    Distribution Report
    Cost Accounting Summary Report
    Budget versus Cost Accounting
    Budget Scenarios - Setup
    Budget Scenarios – Setup – > In this it's missing field "Dimension" and "Cost Accounting Columns", so this not possible across other distribution rules (cost center)
    Thanks,
    Luís Pontes

    Hi,
    Maybe this post is very confusing, so i will summarize:
    in my budget, i want to have the option of Cost Accounting, but I cannot.
    I already activated the option Use Multidimensions but I still do not see the columns.
    Does anyone know what should I do?
    Or is it a mistake SAP?
    Thanks,
    Luís Pontes
