Calendar SDK on Win XP

Hi,
I have problems to run my java program on XP to access the calendar via calendar sdk.
I got the error message:
java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: C:\Java\Calendar\capi\java\csdkjni.dll: %1 is not a valid Win32 application
Any idea what could be happend?
Best regards
Oliver

Hi Oliver,
I would guess a corrupted dll or something like that but I don't have much context here.
Which version of the calendar sdk are you using?
What are your environment variables?
Are you sure all the dependencies to csdkjni.dll are accessible?
Did you compare the dll's you have in your setup to the dll's from the source to make sure they are the same?
Cheers,
Jean-Philippe

    Hi Felix,
On Windows, make sure that BOTH the CSDK runtime libraries (normally installed in capi/lib inside your installation target directory) as well as the CSDK JNI library (normally installed in capi/java) are in your PATH environment variable before running (and not the LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variable as indicated in the java demo's README file).

  • Attendee participation status cannot be set to ACCEPTED via Calendar SDK

As documented on page 3-41 of the Application Developers Guide
    http://download-west.oracle.com/docs/cd/B13866_02/calendar.904/b10893/sdkfxns.htm#1012531)
the attendee participation status cannot be set to ACCEPTED via Calendar SDK API call storeEvents() if the user creating the appointment is not the owner of the calendar.
Can you confirm that there is currently no other way to set the value of the attendee participation status via the SDK?
    thankyou,
    Chris

    Hi Chris,
An attendee's attendance status can only be set by that attendee. However, for external attendees who are not calendar users, the owner of the meeting may set their attendance status.

  • Calendar SDK Java Demo

I've seen a number of references to the Java demo code on this forum, but can't find a copy of it. I've installed the sdk 9.0.4.1.1 on Windows, but don't see any java files for it.
Can someone tell me where to find it.

I found it buried in the client cd. It's at Calendar\DeveloperPackage\SDK\Windows\cal_sdk_win_90418897.tar.gz

  • Problems Installing J2SE SDK on Win XP Home

Hi, I'm having serious trouble trying to install the Java 2 SDK onto my
    PC.
    I have tried installing 2 different versions;
    j2sdk-1_4_2_03-windows-i586-p, and
    j2sdk-1_4_2_04-windows-i586-p.
Both are the offline installation versions which I burned to separate
CD-ROMs in the last 4 months or so. Whenever I try to install either version,
I get the following error message during the "copying of files" stage of the
    installation process:
"Error 1335. The cabinet file 'Data1.cab' required for this installation is
corrupt and cannot be used. This could indicate a network error, an error
reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package."
Also, during one of my failed installation attempts, I received the following
error message instead of the one above:
"Error 1772. There is a problem with this Windows Installer Package. A program
run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support
    personnel or package vendor."
I have only received the Error 1772 on one occasion, every other attempt to
install one of the packages has resulted in an Error 1335.
The system I am trying to install it on is an Athlon 2600 with 256mb of RAM,
running Win XP Home Edition with Service Pack One.
The strange thing is, is it that it is only this PC which the problem occurs
on. I have successfully installed the 1_4_2_03 version of the
SDK onto my (rather antiquated) laptop, which has an AMD K6 400MHz, 96mb of
RAM, and running Windows 98. Also, I have just successfully installed the
1_4_2_04 version onto another different PC, which has an AMD K6 450MHz,
96mb of RAM and running Windows ME. Both of these versions were installed off
the very same CDs that are causing me all the problems mentioned above with my
PC running XP, so it suggests that there is no problem of corruption of the
    installation files.
I have only managed to find information about this problem on a couple of
other sites, and I have tried every one of the suggestions that people in
a similar predicament have tried. These failed attempts include:
    - Performing a 'clean boot' before installing the SDK.
    - Swapping the slots that the PC's memory modules are in.
    - Format of hard drive and complete re-installation of Windows.
I really am at a complete loss as to how to get Java up and running on my PC,
so if anyone out there knows how to fix the problem, please, please let me
    know.
    Thanks,
    Steve.

I can't offer resolution of the problem, but a couple of alternatives come to mind.
Obviously, this one computer has something in it that is causing the problem. It's probably an interaction involving Windows and the hardware. Windows SP2 may be a solution; install it when available, and try again.
The SDK installation in C:\j2sdk1.4.2_0x does not involve any Registry entries - they're for the public JRE installed in Program Files. You can copy the j2sdk1.4.2_0x directory from another machine, avoiding the install; you just won't have the public JRE. Copy java.exe and javaw.exe to System32 to allow naked java/javaw commands to work.

  • Oracle Calendar SDK for 10.1.2 download?

    Hi all,
Is there any where I can download this as there doesn't seem to be one for this version.
Or am I to use the sdk provided with the client cd for version 9.
We will be running against the linux version but developing in Jdeveloper on Windows. I've found the csdk stuff in the install directory on the apps server but I'm not able to find the DLLS required.
    Thanks for your help.

right ... not sure if this is the best way but it works.
Assuming this is on a sepearate linux machine .
I copied the jlib and lib folders from the application tier $ORACLE_HOME/ocal directory on the server to /usr/lib/csdk/lib and /usr/lib/csdk/jlib respectively on your development machine.
I then installed the oracle instant client rpm.
I set the $ORACLE_HOME to the directory to which my instant client was installed (/usr/lib/oracle/10.1.0.4/client) on my develoment machine.
I then created symbolic links for each file in the $ORACLE_HOME in the /usr/lib/csdk/lib directory on my development machine. ( the symbolic link must have the same name as the target file)
I then copied the calendarlet.jar found in apps $ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/OC4J_OCSClient/connectors/CalendarSearchlet/CalendarSearchlet directory to /usr/lib/csdk/calendarlet directory on my development machine. (For some reason if you put this file into jlib folder it doest work weird huh)
I also set the LD_LIBRARY_PATH to the folders I created on the development machine as well as the $ORACLE_HOME/lib on the development machine.
So the jar for the csdk is csdk.jar in the lib directory we created.
The calendar webservices jar file is in the calendarlet directory we created.
    Hope this helps

  • Oracle calendar SDK demo fails.

    Hi
I downloaded oracle sdk. I can able to run the C program calendar.c successfully. But when I run java sample calendar.java I can able to connect to the server, I can't proceed after that. I am getting the error "fetchEventsByRange returned status'CAPI_STAT_LIBRARY_SERVER_SUPPORT'". Did anyone able to run the java demo successfully?
Any help is really appreciated. Thanls in advance.
    Hari

    Hi Hari,
The calendar.c demo program uses the older, deprecated event APIs, while the calendar.java program uses the new event APIs through the CSDK JNI layer. However, these new event APIs require a 9.0.4 Calendar server. Is your calendar server a 9.0.4 server? You can check by running the universion utility that's installed with the calendar server.

  • Csdkjni.dll cannot find dependencies

Well this is probably a long shot since no one has posted here in months... Wonder why Oracle? You only make it damn near impossible to find or get the SDK let alone provide reasonable documentation for preparing the development environment. Okay, I'm obviously frustrated.
Here is the problem (trying to run CSDKDemo):
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: C:\product\10.1.2\ocs_1\ocal\lib\csdkjni.dll: Can't find dependent libraries

         at calendardemo.CalendarSession.<init>(CalendarSession.java:26)
         at calendardemo.CSDKDemo.main(CSDKDemo.java:23)
I've search and looked through every thread, every JNI troubleshooting page, used dependency walker on csdkjni.dll, etc.
I'm trying to compile this in eclipse IDE, on Windows XP. Here is my VM command line argument:
    -Djava.library.path="C:\product\10.1.2\ocs_1\bin;C:\product\10.1.2\ocs_1\ocal\lib;C:\product\10.1.2\ocs_1\ocal\jlib"
The jlib and bin directories are there because I saw the suggestion somewhere in my searching. Everything works the same with just the lib directory also. It's obviously finding the csdk.jar and it's finding csdkjni.dll also, but not one of its dependencies. According to dumpbin.exe it's dependencies are:
    capi.dll
    MSVCRT.dll
    KERNEL32.dll
Everything is found when I run dependency walker. capi.dll is located in the same directory as csdkjni.dll. This directory has been added to my system's PATH environment variable. I've also tried putting capi.dll in every folder I could think of with no luck. I'm totally out of ideas and cannot believe I've lost an entire day just trying to get the demo to compile. Does ANYONE have a clue whats going on here?
Is it possible that this error message is just not correct and that its actually having a problem loading some function from the DLL?

You appear to have already tried all the usual suggestions. There is a thread Calendar SDK on Win XP where the problem seems to be due to file conflict with some other software also using capi.dll. Could that apply in your case?

  • Corrupt SDK ZIP: InDesign CS5 Products SDK Win [535]

    Dear Adobe
When trying to unzip the InDesign CS5 Products SDK for Win [535], WinRAR notifies me that "The archive is corrpt". When opening the SDK with the Windows ZIP functionality, there are a lot of files missing.
The mentioned file is named: Adobe_InDesign_CS5_Products_SDK_535_Win.zip
I really don't like the idea of developing with a potential corrupt SDK.
So can you please provide a "clean" SDK ZIP as soon as possible?
    Thanks, Marco

Thanks for that tip Harbs, I have regenerated the API, which produced an InDesignServerAPI.jar that I've been able to use to compile and run against CS5 Server.  So I can get on with developing again now . However, it's inconvenient to have to regenerate just to be able to start Java development (and it would be worse if I was using Windows because I'd need to buy Visual Studio, fortunately all the tools needed for regeneration on Mac OS X are free).
Also there are some very useful documents included in the CS4 Server SDK that aren't in the CS5 Products SDK, for example ww-ids-java.pdf (Working with Adobe Indesign CS4 Server Java) and the "Regenerating the Adobe InDesign CS5 Server Java API" document mentions the Server SDK (e.g. "The InDesign CS5 Server SDK installation contains the prebuilt Java API Jar file") so I'm still curious as to whether there will be a CS5 Server SDK.

You can download and install the iCloud control panel and do it that way.

Or you can mail your calendar to yourself, open that mail on the ipad and save it to the calendar from there.

  • How to get 10g SDK

It is not at all clear how to get the 10g SDK.
In a previous thread it was suggested by Jean-Marc Robillard:
"The Calendar SDK in part of the Oracle Universal Installer package with 10g, so when you select "calendar" as part of the installation, you have an option for the SDK pacakage, including the client-side libraries."
This doesn't really explain what is required to download or what cd/s are required.
Can you get the SDK without the Calendar Server ie. We want to use the 10g SDK with the 9.0.4 Calendar Server.
Also if you are installing 10g Calendar Server on say HP/UX but want the SDK for Windows how does this work?
    Regards
    George Richardson

To add another voice to the growing number of requests for a separate SDK package for various platforms ...
A colleague installed the 10gr1 server package on Solaris. In the ... oracle/product/10gr1 directory installed locally are multiple directories containing various shared library (.so) files and Java libraries (.jar) in the hierarchy. No 'readme' file, comparable to that found in the 9.0.4.2 distributions and the 10g SDK distribution for Mac OS X, could be found within that hierarchy. And it isn't clear which of these library directories and/or files should be referenced in the LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variable.
Presumably, as a result of referencing one or more inappropriate directories, we've already received some comical errors, such as:
    java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: [...]/libcsdkjni.so: ld.so.1: java: fatal: [...]/libclntsh.so.10.1: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64
Presumably, a packaged 10g SDK would mitigate some of these types of errors. :-)
For starters, where can the 'readme' files for the various SDK distributions, other than the one included with the relatively cohesive Mac OS X distribution, be found?
