Calender Help

Hey all,
I am trying to make a week long calendar,
it has to be updated every day so that the first date is the current date.
I want to be able to have a JTabbed pane with 7 tabs representing the week ahead... so i want the tab id to be the date for that day.
i have created myself a Gregorian calender set at GMT time zone for London.
I can retrieve the date for today, but i dont know how to retrieve the dates for the week ahead...
Can anyone help please?

Initialize the calendar to today, and then add single days to get subsequent days.
See Calendar.add().

hii everybody,
my paroblem is about datatable and calender helper inputtext component on it .
Problem 1: i know that , calender helper conponents dont appear in a datatable because of script bug. but i solved this problem as writing a external sript . but if large amount data with datehelper component in datatable ,at this time page is loading very slowly.
has it been fixed this problem. pls help me .

8900 Curve Calender Help

Hi all
Does anyone know how to clear all the entires from the calender on a BB 8900 as Facebook has decided to put everyones birthday into my calender and I dont want them there.

Here you go... (ignore the mention of your Address Book, this process works for both Address Book or Calendar, in your case).
If you are having errors in your Calendar or Address Book on your BlackBerry, and you wish to delete the entire Calendar (or Address Book) database on your BlackBerry, follow the directions below. Make certain you have a good copy of your Calendar or Contacts elsewhere, as this procedure will complete delete ALL Calendar entries and/or Address Book entries on your BlackBerry.
1. Open Desktop Manager on your PC.
2. Open up Backup/Restore > Advanced.
3. From Advanced you'll see a split pane screen. The left pane is what is going to be backed up from your device and the right is a list of the currently existing databases.
3. Highlight on the right side your Address Book database (or your Calendar database) and click the arrow in the middle pointing to the left. This will copy the information over and prepare it for back-up.
4. Once the back-up has completed, hit the Clear button at the bottom to erase and clean out the entire address book database (or Calendar database).
5. After it's finished, it will ask you if you want to save the back-up you've created, say yes and check the device to make sure the address book (or calendar) has been properly cleared out. Now, resync the necessary contact information and you should be set to go.

Texting and deleting calender help!

So recently, only the past few weeks, while texting at random times, the screens would go blank, not showing any words or being able to type or send anything. It happened earlier today and when I checked after it finally fixed itself, it deleted the whole calender. Everything from months back, gone... Wondering if anyone else had this issue, or is there anyway to restore what was in the calender. I would rather not restore it, it would be the 2nd time I've had to since I've gotten it in March. Any tips would be useful!

Sorry to here the calendar is missing from your device CassandraApril!
The BlackBerry Z10 smartphone sounds to be having a physical issue with the screen itself. I would have your wireless service provider take a look at the device in order to determine if the issue is hardware related.
However the calendar missing is another issue I would like to address.
In some cases the calendar data is not missing but however removed from your view. The "Manage" function of the calendar application can remove calendar events from your view.
In order to check if the calendar events have been removed from view please follow the below steps:
1. Open the calendar
2. Swipe down from the top
3. Select "Manage"
4. Check all unchecked calendars

Factory Calender - Help Needed

I am getting this messges when i try and transaction MICN...PID for cycle count...
The date 14.07.2009 comes after the end of the validity period of the factory calendar that is assigned to the given plant
Could someone tell me how i fix this

See if your factory calender is properly maintained in 'SCAL' tcode.
If it is maintained properly, see if that is assigned to your plant in 'OX10' tcode. If this doesn't solve your issue, tell the detailed error message.

Two computers, one iphone, one calender, help

I've tried reading through the support pages but am having a hard time figuring this one out. Any help would be great welcomed.
I have two computers that I use on a daily basis. One stays at work, the other is at home. All depending on where I am I will enter info into ical on either of my computers or on my iphone. My computer at work is what my iphone is set to sync to but there are days when I'm not in the office and work from home.
I don't have any music stored on my laptop at home and therefor am under the impression that if I attempt to sync my phone to it then the data will be deleted. I simply mainly need to mirror my calendars between the three devices. Syncing my iphone to my work computer works fine to keep the two in sync together but I do need a way to get the info back onto my computer at home.
I tried .mac for about a month and it seemed to be the answer to my problem but I started having trouble with it a couple of weeks back. It would not sync my laptop and constantly came up with this message: "A failure occurred while synchronizing the .mac sync client". I tried sorting that out with Apples advice but to no avail. I've given up with the .mac and figured that there has to be another way.

No - IF you set it up right. Follow these steps:
1. Select "Disable automatic syncing for all iPhones" under Edit / Preferences / iPhone in the iTunes menu.
2. Uncheck "Automatically sync when this iPhone is connected" in the Summary tab of iTunes.
3. Check "Only sync checked items" in the same tab.
4. On the computer you want to sync contacts and calendar, check the corresponding boxes in the Info tab. UNCHECK everything else in the MUSIC, PHOTOS, PODCASTS and VIDEO tabs.
5. Sync your iPhone with this computer FIRST.
6. On your other computer, follow the same steps above (1, 2 and 3). Then, UNCHECK everything in the INFO tab, and check everything else on the other tabs.
7. When you sync with this second computer, you may get a message that the iPhone has already been synced with another computer, and that the media library will be deleted. Fine. There should be NO media library on the iPhone since you unchecked all the media items on the first computer, right?
8. Sync. Then you can sync on both computers and each will sync what is checked and not overwrite the rest.

Date/Calender Help

Guys familiar with the Date and Calender classes...
After I get the current date, how can I move back exactly one week?
I'm not sure because different months have different amounts of days, etc.
For example if it is June 4th, one week earlier would be May 28th.
How can I do this in java? It's easy if you are in the middle of the month, you can just subtract 7, but if you are within the first 7 days of the month, going back a week will put you somewhere in the previous month. Is there a method to get the number of days in a month? Any suggestions?

Subscribed calender help

Hello,
Why would a calender I subscribed to successfully on my home mac not work on my iphone using the same url? When I sub on my iphone, it says that I subscribed to the new cal, but nothing gets added??

I'm having the same problem. I suspect there is a bug in calendar subscriptions on iPhone. It's new in 3.0, so I'm not surprised.

I have just got an ipad and want to use icloud but the calender in icloud keeps deleting my appointments how can I stop it doing that

8830 Calender Message deleted after 60 days

My Calender entries are automatically being deleted after 60 days when I sync with Outlook. The Calender Help menu has a section: "Set how long your device stores calendar entries" which says to click Options then Set the Keep Appointments field, however, there is no Keep Appointments field in the Calender/Options list of fields. How can I keep appointments for a longer time period?

if you want to see date calender help in your view, you have to add an input field in the view and bind it with a context attribute of type dats.

Disabled input date field

Dear Techies,
i am using BSP with page flow logic.
I have a date field, my requirment is i have to mandate the usage of date field only through the calander help which is provided by the input field, it should be disabled by the keyboard entry only for dat field.
I disabled the input field on page load by using java script, and the input field is working fine, the changed value is appearing but the changed value is not being stored in the value attribute.
When i debug the javascript is overriding the disabled property, please help me how can this be achieved.

My requirement is:
i should have an input field of type date, which should not be input enabled but it should accept values from the calender help. That means user should select only date from calender, but he should not be in a position change or enter values from keyboard.
For this i have followed this approach.
i have my htmlb tag for input.
<htmlb:inputField id       = "tx"
                        value    = "<%= date %>"
                        showHelp = "X"
                        type     = "date" />
And i have javascript which will disable it at the client side. This will only disable the input from a keyboard, but when i select date from calander it appears in the input field which is as per my requirment.
Now when i am going for any eventing, the value in the input field is initialized. This is my problem. I want the input field to retain its value.
If i dont use the javascript and make it enabled input field, i dont have a problem in rendering the change in date.
So please give me any solution through the approach or i dont mind any new solution.

Publish iCal to internet

Hi
I have 6 Cals that I want to share with my coworkers on the web. I do not want them to be able to change them. I do not want each of them to subscribe to my 6 cals, too much hastle for them!!
Currently my Cals are all synced with my MobileMe so that they can sync with my iPhone (from laptop via the cloud).
How do I solve this problem!? Everything was so much easier with iCal for .mac

In their infinite wisdom, that functionality to publish groups and to publish to non-Mobile.me users has been removed. Use "feedback" if you can find it anywhere to join the chorus asking for those features to be restored. You could also send mail to steve at apple dot com, but don't expect a reply from either.
In my not-so-humble opinion, this makes iCal essentially unusable except as a personal calender, and even then, limited. It is useless in business.

Collaboration Project - Enhancement in table

Hi,
This is query regarding collaboration projects.
We are creating custom date fields in table DPR_PROJECT in the
structure "DPR_TS_PROJECT_EXTENDED_ATTR" and object category DPO
(Project definition).
We have created field with domain as DATS and also tried with domain
BCOS_TSTMP. But the field is not showing dropdown Calendar help on the portal of "Collaboration Project" but we get calender help in R3 system for that table.
We have configured the foll. in IMG - cProjects - Global Enhancements
to Project Elements - Define Field Groups for Customer Fields: Field
type as "Calendar Help" and Mode as "INPUT (Write Authorization)".
We have a created similar field in DPR_PART table and it works fine on portal .
Please let me know if any input on the same.

Sharing a Calendar from Mountain Lion server with Snow Leopard users on local network

Hello.
I have a new Mac Mini Server running Mountain Lion Server and I want to create a shared calender for a mix of Lion, Mountain Lion and Snow Leopard users on our local network. Does anyone have any info on how to do this? I have tried using the Server App and Calender Help within the applications, but the content isn't available. I have managed to create a Shared Calender from the Mini's Calendar App where I've added users and I can see a 'wireless' transmit icon to the right of the Calendar name - but I cant get any of the users' iCal or Calendar apps to recognise the Calendar on the local network. I've also created a Location in the Server App under Calendar and still can't see anything on the local network. Am I missing something really obvious?

Sorry, I hadn't explained everything fully. I don't want to open up my VPN to friends and family. I do have the router assigning the NAS a fixed IP, so that when I connect over the VPN I can use the local IP address to connect, as you have mentioned.
What I would like is for my friends or family to connect to my server over AFP or SMB using the public IP of my network, which my router then forwards onto my server, and display the available sharepoints configured using Mountain Lion server. However, the NAS drive is not an available option this way as it has a separate IP to the server.
As the NAS alllows guest access, I also don't want to configure the router to forward a specific port to it, as this way it will be open to the internet. I wanted to try and use my server as an authentication point, with profiles set using Mountain Lion server, and limited to file sharing services only.
Hope this makes sense.
