Call a Social application

Hello,
i use a transactiontyp soa ( Sozial application) of sap. After the configuration i want to test about the web interface. But i don' t can create a social application with a service member.
So my question is : About which service menu can i create a soa as service member? The other created transactiontyps will be show me when i open a serice contract.

You may not need to use web.show_document if you are just trying to open another form with different credentials. You might try this:
Create a parameter list with the username and password in the calling form. Also in the calling form pass the called form (the application form) the parameter list using OPEN_FORM (use SESSION if necessary). In the ON-LOGON trigger of the called form logout and log back in again using the values in the parameter list.
If you still wish to use web.show_document, then if you search this forum you will find that Javascript usage in IE has certain security restrictions. There are a number of threads on this topic along with some work-arounds.

N8 "social application" Facebook uses large profil...

Just got my new N8, like it a lot - except I find the Social Application way too slow. I couldn't find any support contact address for the application (an old saying about shoemakers son having no shoes, as I know that OVI store is pretty strict about that :-), so I'll drop my bug (?) report here.
It seems to me that the Social Networking application does not use Facebook profile thumbnail pictures, but the original large-size pictures instead. I.e. it seems to fetch src of the pictures, not src_small (if using FQL. There are likewise calls for other FB APIs).
Understandably fetching the profile pics "as is" creates a ___lot___ more network traffic and fills the device memory. Or, if you're proxying all traffic through Nokia servers, and creating the thumbnails yourself, please don't do the latter. I have chosen my thumbnail to be what it is, and unfortunately the application now clearly shows non-square thumbnails (the original profile pic).

OK people I've finally done it after one month here it goes and hope it works for all of you out there
1-back up all of your data and remove your memory card if you have one.
2-use the code *#7370# to completely remove any data on your phone and wait till it restarts it might take a while and seems that it is not responding but wait it will eventually restarts.
3-install this file which I found on my phone by accident it is the only file that was able to install social back

4- after installation it might ask you for an update to the app and it will give you an error of installation if you try to install it but don't
5-redo the format and install the app again on your device if you can't use the app without the update and here you go the app is working again but sadly without the widget ( I am working on it right now wish me luck)
6- always remember to uninstall Social app before any new installation of the file

How to call a WD4A Application of another system

Hi,
I have the need to call a WebDynpro Application of another system via a URL call, thet the application should be opend in the CRM WebUI Window (statefull ) .
Calling the application via a button event & transaction launcher works fine, but i need to call it from a BSP page. So my idea was to create an iframe, but this obviously opens a new window:

Need to run VI on boot or call from other application

I am looking for the most basic way to get Labview to run a VI upon bootup or call from another application (without having to hit the run button on the toolbar.) I would rather not have to build an application; I don't want to buy the professional version. I want my data acquisition to recover from a power outage reboot and keep going without human intervention. Is there a way to build an init that launches the VI in run mode? A colleague of mine has convinced me labview is the way to go for a new experiment, but this is one stumbling block that needs to be resolved. Thanks for any help you can give.

i have used the startup folder to run labview vi's on several machines and it *can* work just fine.
however, sometimes there is a timimg problem and i get the message 'vi not found,' then labview usually loads the vi and runs - but leaves the error message, which can cause problems with later operations.
today i had this problem with a 3.4 G HP machine running Win200. Labview 7.1 & DAQmx.
my work around solution is to use the *MarcroScheduler* program. i call a it from the startup folder. it does the following
(a) start Labview 7.1
(b) wait 1 minute
(c) execute the vi.
without the wait state, Labview 7.1 will not run the vi properly.

I have to call a webdynpro application in an external window using the application name. Please note that no iViews are created out of the application which i am going to call.
I have DC1 and DC2 and from the Comp Controlller of DC1 , i need to invoke the application in DC2.

Is it possible to call a Web Application that has URL - http://host:port/parse.php using a business service in OSB?
What I have seen is it is able to call the service but the data we are sending that is the string in the form of the URL encoded data is not going there. Any help would be appreciated.

The above code is from the applescript application. The applescript application works well using the terminal via osascript. For example:

The message box in the above VBA code matches my test applescript file and I have taken the output of the MsgBox and used it in a test applescript and it works great, but VBA is throwing "Run-time error '5': Invalid procedure call or argument".
Looking at Microsoft's definition it takes a string argument and I have made sure that scriptToRun is a string type, so at this point I suspect there is something wrong with the MacScript() funciton, or I am missing something above. Is there another way to call an applescript application from VBA outside the MacScript() function? Or is there something I am missing? Any help or suggestions is needed.

Help with htmldb_Get calling an on_demand application proccess

I wonder if anyone can help with a problem I have. I have a button (coded in Javascript) that uses htmldb_Get to call an on_demand application process that should be updating the database. Unfortunately it does not, and I cannot see what I've done wrong! Perhaps some fresh eyes can help?

I was expecting to see (a) the database updated (it is not) and (b) the text string l_msg echoed back via the alert(gReturn) - it does not (but does if I comment out the UPDATE statement, which makes me wonder if the SQL is being rejected, but then I'd hope that the exception block would return an error message).

I have one question regarding this.
The usage of the UI element link "link to URL" is pretty much understandable to call a stanalone application.
Whereas the usage of suspend and resume plugs, how does it work for BSP applications? For two WD components we can connect the plugs and it works.
As I do not know about BSP, does it have in/out plugs like WD components?
If so how to create the navigation link for this.
Please explain.

The Input screen will be the BSP page and when the user click the action it have to trigger some data in BSP and in turn it have to collaborate the manipulated data in webdynpro and shows the output in webdynpro or in BSP..

Assuming that both your applications WDA & WDJ are in the portal & you don't have to pass any parameters to the WDJ application.
Write the following code on the action where you would call the WDJ application.
DATA:

You can get the PCD from the Page properties of the WDJ application page in the Portal.

Not able to call Webdynpro BPM application from Portal 7.2

Dear Expert,
My Portal has suddenly giving me a very strange error. When i am trying to click on a link in portal which is supposed to call a BPM application where the UI is designed in Webdynpro for Java, i am getting an error saying - Website can not display page.
The error is coming since the re-start of Portal server. Ours is federated portal scenario, the CE is producer and EP is consumer Portal.

After analyzing the issue i understood that the Federation is not working..

Great exercise to document the problem like this. It got me thinking about how an app with modules would be different from an app that does not use modules. Solution: I moved the dummy reference of PersonPhotoView out to the main application file (as opposed to being inside the module) and it worked. I've probably been lucky not to have experienced this problem earlier, because for most other entities I have an instance attached to my model which is linked / compiled with the main application.

You generally can't cause a program to be executed on a different >server. Basic security, you know. Besides this idea of having the Java >application run on a different server wasn't mentioned in your original >post. That leads me to believe we don't have the whole story.So I think you need to step back and find out what are the requirements. For example: Does your program need to start this Java application running, or is it already running and your program needs to connect to it somehow?
My program has to start a Java class file, meaning that the Micro Focus COBOL module will call the Java class file. Will it be running on the same machine as your program, or on some other machine?
For both cases, I would like to know the answer.a) Running on the same machine as my program is running.
b) Running on the different machine.
And then there are the questions about whether your program needs to have a conversation with the Java application, or whether it just needs to start it and that's all.
COBOL program has to call a Java class by passing some parameters and Java class in turn process it and return some value back.. Kind of Request and Response model.Plenty of questions to be asked. Go and find out what they are.
Sorry ... if I am not clear on my questions. Anyhow, thank you very much for providing the information.
