Hi,
The F1 and F4 events of the SAP textedit are registered using the SET_REGISTERED_EVENTS method to ensure that they are passed to the application server when they occur. F1 is defined as a system event, F4 as an application event.
Where f4 event will act as input help.
Cheers!!

  • Can we call a BO method directly

    Hi all,
    Can we call a BO method  explicitly in a program .
    e.g. can i  call the method approve of the  FORMABSENC BO.
    Regards,
    Sateesh.

    Of course you can. You just need to include the macros include so you can create objects and call the methods. If you are not familiar with the different macros, just browse through <CNTN01> to find what you need. There is documentation in the code.
    You will probably need at least the following four macros
    SWC_CREATE_OBJECT to create an object from its type and key.
    SWC_SET_ELEMENT one or more times to fill the container with appropriate parameters.
    SWC_CALL_METHOD to call the method.
    SWC_GET_ELEMENT one or more times to retrieve returned parameters.
    Note that SWC_SET_ELEMENT does not work for table parametes, use SWC_SET_TABLE instead.

  • JApplet class key methods

    JApplet class has following key methods:
    public void init()
    public void start()
    public void paint( Graphics g )
    public void stop()
    public void destroy()
    I have an applet that only uses the key method init() and I don't have multithreaded logic and it seems to work just fine. Why does my applet work without specifically invoking the other JApplet class key methods? Are any of these key methods called by a default version for the key method?

    So are you saying that if I don't define start()
    method by overriding or overloading the browser's
    start() method, then the browser's start() method
    places the applet thread into ready state even though
    I don't have any other threads?No. I say if you do not redefine start() and stop(), that doesn't mean that they're not defined. They are in fact implemented (though they are empty), and the browser calls them. Depending on what your applet does, it won't need to explicitely start something in it's start() method, it will run anyway, like calculator applet for example.
    BTW, how do I find the declarations and definitions of
    the browser's key methods?I'm not sure about what you mean by "browser's key methods". You shouldn't need to care to much about what the browser does...

  • Illegal call to EJBContext method

    Hi,
    I ran a code that uses stateless beans a lot of times (to check performance). After a while I get this exception:
    <b>[EJB:010193]Illegal call to EJBContext method. The bean is in "null" state. It cannot perform 'getting caller principal for the Stateless EJB' OR 'is caller in role for Stateless EJB' action(s). Refer to the EJB specification for more details.</b>
    Any idea what can be the problem?

    Hi,
    If I don't initialize primary key in ejbCreate method I would get the error like :
    javax.ejb.CreateException: In EJB XXXXE, primary key field 'id'
    was not set during ejbCreate. All primary key fields must be initialized during ejbCreate.
    To avoid that, I need to know the current primary key value.We are using sequence at database level to autogenerate primary key.I could not get that value at Java level(Entity bean).
    So I just tried to set the value from EntityContext class. I know thats wrong, since EntityContext cannot be set before create method..
    But I really concern about Sun Specs, Where is that 9.6.5 section???
    its not at all there ..
    Thanks

  • How to find a caller of a method

    hi all,

    Inside that method , I want to know who is the caller of the method.
    how can i find that. any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Dhanasekaran Vivekanandhan

    look at the method Thread.currentThread.getStackTrace(), and the class StackTraceElement. you can work out the rest yourself, hopefully
    but if your code depends on this knowledge, I reckon you've got design problems

  • How to call a C function calling a Java Method from another C function ?

    Hi everyone,
    I'm just starting to learn JNI and my problem is that I don't know if it is possible to call a C function calling a Java Method (or doing anything else with JNI) from another C function.
    In fact, after receiving datas in a socket made by a C function, I would like to create a class instance (and I don't know how to do it too ; ) ) and init this instance with the strings I received in the socket.
    Is all that possible ?
    Thank you very much for your help !

    Hard to understand the question, but by most interpretations the answer is going to be yes.
    You do of course understand that JNI is the "API" that sits between Java and C and that every call between the two must go through that. You can't call it directly.

    Hi,
    to call the bean, use the EL in Java and reference #{backingBeanScope.mapBean.initMap} as a method expression. If you try and access the bean directly then chances are that the instance is not available. Using EL from Java always guarantees this

    hi,
    1)    You can make the method EH_ONSELECT as public and static and call this method in viewGS_CM/ADDDOC  using syntax
        impl class name of view GS_CM/DOCTREE=>EH_ONSELECT "method name.
                 or
    2)The view GS_CM/ADDDOC which contains EH_ONSELECT method has been already enhanced, so I can't execute such kind of operation one more time.
                         or
    3)If both views or viewarea containing that view are under same window , then you can get the instance ofGS_CM/DOCTREE from view GS_CM/ADDDOC  through the main window controller.
    lr_window = me->view_manager->get_window_controller( ).
        lv_viewname = 'GS_CM/DOCTREE '.
      lr_viewctrl ?=  lr_window ->get_subcontroller_by_viewname( lv_viewname ).
    Now you can access the method of view GS_CM/DOCTREE .
    Let me know in case you face any issues.

  • How to call a AM method with parameters from Managed Bean?

    Hi Everyone,
    I have a situation where I need to call AM method (setDefaultSubInv) from Managed bean, under Value change Listner method. Here is what I am doing, I have added AM method on to the page bindings, then in bean calling this
    Class[] paramTypes = { };
    Object[] params = { } ;
    invokeEL("#{bindings.setDefaultSubInv.execute}", paramTypes, params);
    This works and able to call this method if there are no parameters. Say I have to pass a parameter to AM method setDefaultSubInv(String a), i tried calling this from the bean but throws an error
    String aVal = "test";
    Class[] paramTypes = {String.class };
    Object[] params = {aVal } ;
    invokeEL("#{bindings.setDefaultSubInv.execute}", paramTypes, params);
    I am not sure this is the right way to call the method with parameters. Can anyone tell how to call a AM method with parameters from Manage bean
    Thanks,
    San.

    Simply do the following
    1- Make your Method in Client Interface.
    2- Add it to Page Def.
    3- Customize your Script Like the below one to Achieve your goal.
    BindingContainer bindings = getBindings();
    OperationBinding operationBinding = bindings.getOperationBinding("GetUserRoles");
    operationBinding.getParamsMap().put("username", "oracle");
    operationBinding.getParamsMap().put("role", "F1211");
    operationBinding.getParamsMap().put("Connection", "JDBC");
    Object result = operationBinding.execute();
    if (!operationBinding.getErrors().isEmpty()) {
    return null;
    return null;
    i hope it help you
    thanks
