  • Call cffunction in cfc file

    Hi,
    I have a cfm file and cfc file and want to implement some checking function in cfc file like following:
    In cfm file, I use javascript to call cfc function where result is a cfdiv tag in cfm file:
    1) ColdFusion.navigate( 'cfc/control.cfc?method=checkRecord','result' );
    Then, it runs cfc file:
    2) call "checkRecord" and show confimation box using JavaScript some similar records are found.
    var proceedAdd = confirm('#message#');
    3) if clicks OK, it calls next addRecord to add new record to database.
    if (processAdd == true)
    ColdFusion.navigate( 'cfc/control.cfc?method=addRecord','result' );
    4) show a dialog for "record added" message.
    Although it is my logic, I encounter some problems in step 3. It shows me an error on ColdFusion.navigate( 'cfc/control.cfc?method=addRecord','result' );
    And I think I cannot call the cffunction within cfc. How can I solve this problem?

    I have Windows 7 and was wondering if there was a version of Firefox called "Nightly"? The File type of a Nightly.Ink. Also, every time I open "Nightly" now I get a program update popup and it says "update.exe". Is this a part of Firefox "Nightly" or is it a virus? Please answer this so I can relax. My email is [email protected]

    There is a version of Firefox named Nightly, but most people do not have it installed. Currently:
    * Firefox 24 (released)
    * Beta (future Firefox 25, subject to some changes)
    * Aurora (future Firefox 26, subject to many changes)
    * Nightly (rapidly evolving future Firefox)
    I can't answer your detailed questions about Nightly, however, please make a backup of your profile before removing it, if you remove it, as some users have reported losing all their personal data when doing that.

  • How to call function in jar file?

    First, I can't write english well.(I'm korean.. ) sorry about that.
    I have known function in jar file.
    but I don't know how to call function in jar file.
    how can I this work?
    My project and another project are respectively developing D-project with me and other man.
    so i need it. or I can't do this work.
    I will paste other's source code in my source code.
    and then recomplie , build it.. but it is not my wish!
    thanks for reading my sentence.

    If you have a jar file with a class that you wish to use, then you must add the jar file to your class path ($CLASSPATH on unix, linux, etc. and %CLASSPATH% on Windows).
    Then you can use the class normally, just as you would if it were not in the jar.
    If you meant something else, you'll need to explain what you meant.

    Please help. When exporting a 720p video using Quicktime Conversion in FCP it saves some extra temporary files to my computer. The temporary file it saves is called ICMMultiPassStorage. This file gets so large that eventually the program and exporting process crashes. I have been able to locate the file using GrandPerspective and close out of FCP to delete it. But when I try exporting the movie again it creates the ICMMultiPassStorage file again. I have made sure my scratch disks are set to my external hard drive so I know that isn't the issue. How do I fix this problem so these temporary files are not being stored on my internal hard drive instead of my external?Thanks!

    Try exporting the timeline "using current settings" via Make QuickTime Movie, then submit that clip to Compressor for the transcode. This should be faster and less painful.

  • Java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: when called from a jar file

    I have a class that calls a custom dll file. If I dont package the class files and set my system PATH to the location of the DLL then the VM is able to find the dll and load it successfully.
    However, when I package the class files into a jar file, I get "java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: NetworkAdapters" eventhough the system PATH is set to the correct location.
    I have also tried to packaging the dll with the class files but this has not made any difference.
    Library is called from Java as follows:
    static {
    System.loadLibrary("NetworkAdapters");
    When packaged the classes files exist in the following sub directories com\instem\hci\adapters
    Any help appreciated.

    Is it an executable Jar file?
    The the DLL needs to sit in the same folders as the Jar itself.
    (works for us).

    the best way to do it is using RFC (remote function call)

    Ummm... why would you want to get MSPaint anyway? Even in the absense of real software, Java's own graphics tools are way more sophisticated - with a little time and effort, you could write a simple paint package that beat MSPaint hands down.

    Hi!
    Youn need some extproc related entries in you listener.ora and tnsnames.ora file.
    *1. In the listener.ora:*
    Defining the listener process is done in two parts.
    The information contained in each listener differs!!!
    The first part is as follows:
    LISTENER =
      (DESCRIPTION_LIST =
        (DESCRIPTION =
          (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = IPC)(KEY = extproc))  <---  *ADD THIS LINE
          (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = yourhostname)(PORT = 1521))
      )The seoncd part is as follows:
    SID_LIST_LISTENER =
      (SID_LIST =
        (SID_DESC =
          (GLOBAL_DBNAME = YOUR_GLOBAL_DBNAME)
          (ORACLE_HOME = c:\oracle\product\10.2.0)  <-- THIS IS YOUR ORACLE_HOME
          (SID_NAME = YOUR_SID)                            <-- SID
        (SID_DESC =                                              <--- ADD THIS LINE
          (SID_NAME = PLSExtProc)                          <--- ADD THIS LINE
          (ORACLE_HOME = c:\oracle\product\10.2.0) <--- ADD THIS LINE AND EDIT TO YOUR ORACLE_HOME
          (PROGRAM = extproc)                                <--- ADD THIS LINE
          (ENV = "EXTPROC_DLLS=ANY")                  <--- ADD THIS LINE
        )                                                                <--- ADD THIS LINE
      )*2. In the tnsnames.ora you need to add the following entry:*
    *(The KEY value entered must be match to the KEY value entered int the listener.ora file!)*
    EXTPROC_CONNECTION_DATA =
      (DESCRIPTION =
        (ADDRESS_LIST =
          (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = IPC)(KEY = extproc))
        (CONNECT_DATA =
          (SID = PLSExtProc)
          (PRESENTATION = RO)
      )Finally you need to restart your listiner. After restarting there will be a service called "PLSExtProc" in your listener.
    This are only examples for extproc configuration, your tnsnames.ora and listener.ora can be differs.
    FIRST MAKE MAKE A BACKUP OF YOUR ORIGINAL tnsnames.ora AND listener.ora FILES

    You didn't specify a database version, but if you are 10g or higher, it's quite straightforward using an external job type in DBMS_SCHEDULER. Funnily enough i'm looking at something similar myself at the moment.

  • Refresh all labview calls in a Sequence file after VI change

    Hello,
    I am not sure if this is how Teststand is supposed to work, or is there a workaround for this.
    I have a VI that I eventually add enumerated values to a drop down list on the front panel. When I do so, then I will not be able to run any sequence that calls this VI unless I reload the VI. This will not be a problem if I have to do it once or twice, but I am using this VI all over the place and it becomes tedious in this case.
    Is there a better way to automatically update all the VI calls in a sequence file at once ?
    Thanks,
    Sam
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Michael W,
    I thought that once a test application has been deployed with TestStand along with source module VI's, I could update individual VI's on deployment target without going through TestStand deployment utility.  I thought I could simply copy the updated VI's to the target folder that contains source module VI's.  This turned out to be not true.
    This article says the deployment utility does more than simply copying VI's (http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/websearch/49A380D75C705AE1862575DB0005503D?opendocument&Submitted&&...).  Therefore my concept of updating VI's on target machine by simple file transfer would not work because TestStand would lose dependencies information between test sequence and VI's (and their sub VI's).
    Would test sequence still run on deployment machine if the change in VI is limited to code inside the VI (meaning, inputs and outputs don't change)?
    Thanks
    Steve
    p.s. I was going to start a new thread with my question but I explained here since you asked why I would update VI's on deployed system.

  • Ever a reason to not call notify()?

    within a sychronized block, is there ever a reason to not call notify(); just before exiting?
    specifically, i'm sharing a collection across multiple thread classes.
    (1) if i know that no thread will ever wait() on the collection, i never need to invoke notify().
    (2) yet, is there ever any downside to always invoking notify();
    in the future, it might happen that some object will wait() on the shared collection. and due to
    encapsulation of the source, the new developer will not see this, or do anything about it.
    so, just to be safe, shouldn't i always call notify(). ?
    other minor issue:
    (1) when possible shouldn't i use notify() instead of notifyAll() ?
    if all waiting threads awaken, then there must be some overhead involved for
    resolving which of the competing objects will get the lock?

    so, just to be safe, shouldn't i always call notify(). ?Then you have a much bigger issue at hand. Specifically, you are creating a shared API where usage of that API is completely dependent on some unexposed internals of that API. I'd say you should instead design your shared points so this isn't an issue.

  • Recursive calls by JSP tag files fail to compile

    We're hitting an issue with recursive calls in JSP tag files. I found one unanswered post in the General forum - [Tag Files used recursivily throws exception|https://forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=853300] - and was wondering if anyone else has hit this or knows of any work-arounds/patches or knows how to raise suspected bugs with Oracle (when you don't have an official support relationship for WebLogic)?
    Example tag file - /WEB-INF/tags/recurse/hello.tag:
    <%@ tag body-content="empty" %>
    <%@ attribute name="name" required="true" type="java.lang.String"%>
    <%@ attribute name="depth" required="true" type="java.lang.Number"%>
    <%@ taglib prefix="c" uri="http://java.sun.com/jsp/jstl/core" %>
    <%@ taglib prefix="r" uri="/WEB-INF/tags/recurse/recurse.tld" %>
    <table border="1" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="3">
    <tr>
    <td>
    Hello ${name} [${depth}]
    </td>
    <c:if test="${depth > 1}">
    <td>
    <r:hello name="${name}" depth="${depth-1}"/>
    </td>
    </c:if>
    </tr>
    </table>
    Example tld file - /WEB-INF/tags/recurse/recurse.tld:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    <taglib xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee"
    xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
    xsi:schemaLocation="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee/web-jsptaglibrary_2_1.xsd"
    version="2.1">
    <description>Library with Recursive tag</description>
    <tlib-version>1.0</tlib-version>
    <shortname>r</shortname>
    <tag-file>
    <name>hello</name>
    <path>/WEB-INF/tags/recurse/hello.tag</path>
    </tag-file>
    </taglib>
    Example jsp file - /recurse/test.jsp:
    <%@ page language="java" pageEncoding="UTF-8" contentType="text/html; charset=utf-8"%>
    <%@ taglib prefix="c" uri="http://java.sun.com/jsp/jstl/core" %>
    <%@ taglib prefix="r" uri="/WEB-INF/tags/recurse/recurse.tld" %>
    <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd">
    <html>
    <head>
    <title>Recursive Tag-file Test</title>
    </head>
    <body>
    <c:set var="name" value="${pageContext.request.remoteUser}"/>
    <c:set var="depth" value="${5}"/>
    <p>Welcome ${name}, here are ${depth} greetings</p>
    <r:hello name="${name}" depth="${depth}"/>
    </body>
    </html>
    The expected result from this example would be to get nested 5 HTML tables.
    The current behaviour, is the following is shown on screen when loading the test.jsp:
    Compilation of JSP File '/recurse/test.jsp' failed:
    hello.tag:15:6: Current file's JSP version conflicts with current tag "r:hello"'s.
                        <r:hello name="${name}" depth="${depth-1}"/>
    ^-----^
    hello.tag:15:6: Current file's JSP version conflicts with current tag "r:hello"'s.
                        <r:hello name="${name}" depth="${depth-1}"/>
    ^-----^
    I believe the "JSP version conflicts with current tag" message is misleading (you also get the same error referring to the tag file's folder via a tagdir reference from the JSP and defining an 'implicit.tld' which declares version="2.1"). If you take the recursive <r:hello .../> call out of hello.tag the JSP and tag file compile and function fine. I tried the work around mentioned in the forum post mentioned above, taking the recursive call out, deploying, then putting the recursive tag call back in and just updating the tag file doesn't seem to work for me.
    Using "weblogic.appc" you get a few more messages, though the issue is the same - tag file doesn't compile:
    test.jsp:15:6: The tag handler class was not found "jsp_servlet._tags._recurse.__hello_tag".
    <r:hello name="${name}" depth="${depth}"/>
    ^-----^
    test.jsp:15:14: This attribute is not recognized.
    <r:hello name="${name}" depth="${depth}"/>
    ^--^
    test.jsp:15:29: This attribute is not recognized.
    <r:hello name="${name}" depth="${depth}"/>
    ^---^
    hello.tag:15:6: The tag handler class was not found "jsp_servlet._tags._recurse.__hello_tag".
    <r:hello name="${name}" depth="${depth-1}"/>
    ^-----^
    hello.tag:15:6: Current file's JSP version conflicts with current tag "r:hello"'s.
    <r:hello name="${name}" depth="${depth-1}"/>
    ^-----^
    Happy to send this example as an ear/war for anyone that's interested.
    At this stage, WebLogic seems to be the only servlet container with this limitation.
    This has been tested with WebLogic 10.3.3.0 and 12.1.1.0.
    The context for this is that the issue is present in a (larger) enterprise application. The above simple example with recursive tags is what we have isolated as the problem.
    Although I/we may not have a support relationship for WebLogic, our clients will, so if the solution is apply an already existing patch that solution would be acceptable.

    Somethings definitely wrong with your gcc installation.
    Which gcc are you using. What output do you get from "which gcc".
    Solaris 10 ships with a gcc in /usr/sfw/bin.
    If your using a 3rd party gcc try changing your path to put /usr/sfw/bin before whereever the 3rd party gcc lives. Or just uninstall it.
