Call Reuse ALV Twice - Is it possible?

Hi,
I have a requirement wherein I need to develop two alv display with header. The 2nd alv display will be issued once the user clicks a custom button from the 1st alv display. However, I the display in the 2nd alv is from the 1st alv display. I have checked the field catalog and internal table in the 2nd reuse alv grid. But I cant seem to figure what is wrong, do I need to use some function module to refresh the output? Any input is welcome.
Thanks & Regards,
Mawi

Hi,
Step 1>First create a PF-STATUS<for the custom button that you have to click>
Step 2>Call that PF-STATUS from your first REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY in the following way:-
set the parameter like this way
             i_callback_pf_status_set          = 'PF_STATUS_SET'
Now create a subroutine for that
             FORM pf_status_set USING rt_extab  TYPE slis_t_extab.
SET PF-STATUS 'ZSTANDARD' OF PROGRAM 'ZSAR_ASSGN1_GRIDALV'.
            ENDFORM.                    "pf_status_set
Step 3>Set another parameter
             i_callback_user_command           = 'USER_COMMAND'
Now for that also create a subroutine like this:-
              FORM user_command USING I_r_ucomm LIKE sy-ucomm
                  rs_selfield TYPE slis_selfield.
<here you put all the subroutine necessary to create the second ALV>
             EndForm.
Hope in this way you get your solution.
Regards.
Sarbajit.

• ALV Report row grey-out (disable) dynamically -- REUSE ALV!!!

Hello All,
Well again a quick question...
Am using REUSE ALV method to display the ALV report.
Dynamically by selecting a row in the list (using the checkbox) and by pressing a button on application tool bar, the selected row should be greyed-out(disabled), that is it should not be anymore editable!
How is it possible?
Any kind of inputs regarding this will be damn damn helpful.
Thanks in advance!
Cheers, Sundar.

Hi,
The above solution 1 will be only applicable if using OO ALV!
above solution 2 will disable the entire column, and then again i need to call the "REUSE ALV"... which i don't want to.. as it opens another screen above the same screen and i have to close it twice!
I know it is possible to grey out the selected row using OO ALV... i want to know if it is possible in REUSE ALV???
Keep shooting please....
Thanks!

• Reuse alv merge

what is the use of function module reuse alv field catalog merge

Field catalog with field descriptions
2.7.1. Description
Field catalog containing descriptions of the list output fields (usually a subset of the internal output table fields). A field catalog is required for every ALV list output.
The field catalog for the output table is built-up in the caller's coding. The build-up can be completely or partially automated by calling the REUSE_ALV_FIELDCATALOG_MERGE module
See also the documentation of the function module REUSE_ALV_FIELDCATALOG_MERGE.
The minimal field catalog is documented under 'default'. The caller can use the other optional parameters to assign output attributes to a field which differ from the default.
A field catalog need not be built-up and passed explicitly only under the following conditions:
• The internal table to be output has the same structure as a Data Dictionary structure which is referred to in the internal table declaration using LIKE or INCLUDE STRUCTURE.
• all fields in this structure are to be output
• the structure name is passed to ALV in the parameter I_STRUCTURE_NAME.
See also the documentation of the IMPORTING paramter I_STRUCTURE_NAME.
more info
DEFININING OUTPUT CHARACTERISTICS: PREPARING DISPLAY FIELDS CATALOG
A field catalog is prepared using the internal table (I_FIELDCAT) of type SLIS_T_FIELDCAT_ALV. Field catalog containing descriptions of the list output fields (usually a subset of the internal output table fields).
A field catalog is required for every ALV list output to add desired functionality (i.e. Key, Hotspot, Specific headings, Justify, Col. position etc) to certain fields of the output. If not mentioned specifically, then the defaults are taken. The possible values and defaults are listed below.
The field catalog for the output table is built-up in the caller's coding. The build-up can be completely or partially automated by calling the REUSE_ALV_FIELDCATALOG_MERGE module.
The minimal field catalog is documented below. This can be done in a routine using a local variable. The user can use the other optional parameters to assign output attributes to different fields in the output, which differ from the default.
Check...

Hi lynniewigs,
This is a common concern among Android and I-phone user, and one of the drawbacks to using a smart phone.  We lose so much privacy. Our phones become cameras into our homes for us to be spied on.

- Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so.
Try the following to rule out a software problem
- Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Seems you have a bad headphone jack.
Apple Retail Store - Genius Bar
Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for this price. They do not fix yours.

A third-party place like the following will replace the jack for less. Google for more.

You haven't given us much to go on here.  What exactly are you doing and what exactly happens when you try?  Which specific version of each program are you using?  (Go to Help>About...)
On a side note, a simple, brief thread title is all that's needed.  Something like "After Effects Issue" would be fine.  You don't need the full question there.

Best Regards, Edgar

Hello Edgar
The following sample report <b>ZUS_SDN_TWO_ALV_GRIDS_8</b> shows how to solve your problem. Please note that for the sake of simplicity I replaced the tree containing the structure names with an ALV list. However, the switch between the different structures is triggered by the <b>DOUBLE_CLICK</b> event.
I like to add that the integration of the first displayed ALV list (DD02L) into GT_OUTTAB is not really elegant. In addition, with <b>$TMP</b> I marked a problematic part of the coding with respect to your requirement to have the right layout for each displayed ALV list:
If you have a <b>fixed </b>assignment of <i>tabname -> 4-digit handle</i> then it is ok. I my sample report the layouts only work if you select the tabnames in the very same order.
Before showing the entire coding I describe crucial parts of the coding:
TYPES: BEGIN OF ty_s_outtab.
TYPES: tabname    TYPE tabname.
TYPES: layout     TYPE lvc_s_layo.
TYPES: variant    TYPE disvariant.
TYPES: fcat       TYPE lvc_t_fcat.
TYPES: data       TYPE REF TO data.
TYPES: END OF ty_s_outtab.
Every time a new structure is selected the corresponding ALV data are stored as new record in GT_OUTTAB which is of line type TY_S_OUTTAB.
READ TABLE gt_outtab INTO gs_outtab INDEX 2.
      ASSIGN gs_outtab-fcat    TO <gt_fcat>.
      ASSIGN gs_outtab-data->* TO <gt_outtab>.
Since the ALV list data and the fieldcatalog are fully dynamic I use global field-symbols for these data.

The second ALV list which displays the table records is always newly displayed in the PBO module.
In the event handler method <b>HANDLE_DOUBLE_CLICK</b> we need to do two things:
- store the current fieldcatalog back to GT_OUTTAB
- store the name of the new selected table/structure -> trigger PAI
In routine <b>HANDLE_DB_CLICK</b> we create a new entry for GT_OUTTAB if it does not yet exist. Next we select this entry and display it again as second ALV list.

• Calling reuse library functions from UI Designer

Hello everybody,
to implement my requirements the custom reuse library function has to be called from UI with action parameters.
Unfortunately those parameters can be chosen either as constants or they ought to be BO-bounded.
On the following screenshot the standard SAP reuse library function is shown, but the behaviour is the same for the custom reuse libraries.
Since the parameters have to be flexible and since my UI component isn't BO-bounded I can't pass the required parameters.
I assume this reuse functions functionality is designed in order to not be connected to the BO instances. So I don't understand why the parameters of the reuse function can't be chosen e.g. from the Data Model of the UI component.
Does anybody know how to call reuse functions without being forced to bind to some BO?
Best Regads.
Leonid Granatstein

Hello Gerhard / Leonid,
The reuse library requires a data type for its parameters.
This is not ensured for arbitrary elements of the data model.
Plus the execution of the reuse library is done in the backend which does not know the data model.
Therefore this restriction.
Sorry,
       Horst

• Calling the webservice twice - Duplicate entries

Hi Experts,
Scenario : SOAP Client -> Call Microsoft webservice -> XI JDBC Sync call-> Call Microsoft webservice.
BPM Steps:
1. Receive Step -> Get the SOAP Client request (Open S/A Bridge)
2. Send Step -> Async call to Microsoft webservice  to update the log status.
3. Send Step -> Sync call to JDBC
5. Send Step -> Close the S/A bridge
6. Send Step -> Call the Microsoft webservice to update the log status.
Receiver Determination Steps
1. SOAP Sender to BPM
2. BPM(Async request) to 2 Log Business Service. I have mentioned the both business service under Configured Receivers section in Receiver Determination.
3. BPM(Sync request) to JDBC
Issue : The JDBC part works fine. Only problem with the Microsoft webservice. Twice it update the log table. ie. Twice it calls the Microsoft's each webservice.
Please help me out, how to stop the second retry and let me know the above approach is correct or not.
Thanks & Regards
Sara

Hi Sara,
As per your info, Earlier you was trying to call both logging updates under one Sync/Async Bridge. But on Webservice side it will give you two responses and you will handling only one.
In later case also you are handling only 1st response of Webservice call, but the another call is still open.
Actually you are trying to built two Sync/Async Birdges. Which is not at all possible under one BPM.
SAP have not recommended for it.
Refer
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/43/65d4dab39b0398e10000000a1553f6/content.htm
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/83/d2a84028c9e469e10000000a1550b0/content.htm
You need to create two seperate interfaces for this.
For e.g.
1st will call the Webservice before updating the JDBC tables.
2nd After updating the JDBC table you can again call the Webservice for updated logging status.
Thanks
Swarup

• ALV-Grid:  Is it possible to catch "LOCAL Function Codes" in any Event ??

Hi,
is it possible that i can catch a "Local Function Code" in ALV Grid with an Event??
For example if you click to an Grid Button on the toolbar than it must call an Event!
..........BUTTON: Local APPEND (existing in ALV Toolbar)
Function Code: '&LOCAL&APPEND'
My Idea is:
--- IF i click to the Button "Local APPEND" in the ALV toolbar, than it must after this command give me an Message( "It was Successfull" ).
But the "Local Function Codes" dont called the Event "User_command" OR "After_user_command" is there any other Event for this "Local Function Codes"???
Have anyone an idea?
Thanks in forward.
