Call to FM 'RSPO_FRONTEND_PRINTERS_FOR_DEV' fails when output is triggered

Hi,
In my Smartforms driver/print program for deliveries, I am using a function module 'RSPO_FRONTEND_PRINTERS_FOR_DEV' to fetch the list of front-end printers.
When i try to print the delivery output from vl03n by using 'Issue Delivery Output' option, I can print the output to the designated printer whose value is fetched from this FM 'RSPO_FRONTEND_PRINTERS_FOR_DEV'.
But when i try to print the output by triggerring the output type (using 'Repeat output' from delivery), the FM 'RSPO_FRONTEND_PRINTERS_FOR_DEV' is failing to fetch the list of printers, and is sending
an error message to SAP inbox saying 'cannot read the list of printers'.
When i further debugged the FM 'RSPO_FRONTEND_PRINTERS_FOR_DEV' when triggerring the output by using "Repeat output' option, i could see that inside this FM, it is calling another RFC/FM 'RSPO_LIST_FRONTEND_PRINTERS' destination 'SAPGUI' and one more with destination 'LOCAL_PRINT', where both this calls are failing in this scenario. But the same function calls to this FM 'RSPO_LIST_FRONTEND_PRINTERS' destination 'SAPGIU'/'LOCAL_PRINT' are working correctly when i try to print the docuemnt using 'Issue Delviery Output' option.
If you look into the code of FM 'RSPO_LIST_FRONTEND_PRINTERS', there is no code inside this FM. It is just a remote function call.
Can you please let me know how can i retrieve the front-end printers in this scenario (scenario: when output/print is triggered by using 'Repeat output')...???

MP4 encodes fail when output size is greater than 4GB, AME CC 2014.2 (8.2.054)

I have a jpeg image sequence about 45 min long at 30fps.
Using AME CC (7.2.2.29) I can successfully encode to MP4, CBR at 18 Mbps. File size is about 5.53 GB.
Using AME CC 2014.2 (8.2.054), with the identical preset (migrated directly from previous AME), the resulting file is unplayable.
AME CC 2014 gives following warning at the end of the encode:

Could not write XMP data in output file.
When I either reduce the bit rate OR reduce the work area, so that the final output file is under 4GB (or more specifically, under approximately 4,096,000,000 bytes), I do not get the XMP warning, and the final file is playable.
Again, please note that the previous version of AME CC does not have this problem when using an identical preset on identical source, so it does not seem to be a problem with the source frames or the output format chosen, it seems to be an issue with the current build of AME.
Is there a solution to this issue?

I have had the exact same problem, I am now trying to encode with audio. ( I also did not need audio ).
My file size and bit rate is a little higher . and using VBR not CBR but it is a mp4 encode and exact same problem, unplayable.
I am now trying an encode with audio on at lowest possible rate, to see if it assembles the video correctly.
I can confirm the work around, With AUDIO on, the export works.
BTW: also tried the sequence directly in Premiere 2014.2 and same error.

SmartForm not printing some values when output type triggered automatically

Output type 'ZD00' for billing is created and configured in NACE with 'send immediately (when saving the application)'. I'm creating a billing document in VF01, then this output type is triggering perfectly. But when I check the form output in spool price and discount values are not displaying. And for the same billing document, when I go to VF03 and selects issue output to and execute the same output type its giving all the perfectly.
What could be the problem ?

there we go, you might want to have a look at RVADIN01 which is the standard driver program for invoice printing.
Your main interest should be to see how they select their prices, and then learn from it and adopt your program accordingliy.
Yeah RVADIN01 is a SAP-SCRIPT driver program, but the selection of data is the same as in SMARTFORMS, so dont be afraid to use their logic.

Flash Access DRM FMP Fails When Authentication Dialog Triggered for Display

Flash Media Playback is failing in the case when playing a video that has Flash Access DRM that requires display of an authentication dialog. A sample failing configuration is here:

The issue with DRM content played with http://fpdownload.adobe.com/strobe/FlashMediaPlayback.swf is caused by the fact that the FlashMediaPlayback.swf is compiled for the Flash Player 10.0.
I tested your sample with the Flash Media Playback compiled for 10.1 (http://fpdownload.adobe.com/strobe/FlashMediaPlayback_101.swf) and it works fine: http://smpfmp.appspot.com/fmp_drm.html
Note that you need to ask your viewers to upgrade to the latest flash player, since Flash Media Playback doesn't handle this automatically, yet. (we have this feature in the backlog, but it might not fit into our future 1.5 release). I have a production mobile Flex app that uses RemoteObject calls for all data access, and it's working well, except for a new remote call I just added that only fails when running with a release build. The same call works fine when running on the device (iPhone) using debug build. When running with a release build, the result handler is never called (nor is the fault handler called). Viewing the BlazeDS logs in debug mode, the call is received and send back with data. I've narrowed it down to what seems to be a data size issue.
I have targeted one specific data call that returns in the String value a string length of 44kb, which fails in the release build (result or fault handler never called), but the result handler is called as expected in debug build. When I do not populate the String value (in server side Java code) on the object (just set it empty string), the result handler is then called, and the object is returned (release build).
The custom object being returned in the call is a very a simple object, with getters/setters for simple types boolean, int, String, and one org.23c.dom.Document type. This same object type is used on other other RemoteObject calls (different data) and works fine (release and debug builds). I originally was returning as a Document, but, just to make sure this wasn't the problem, changed the value to be returned to a String, just to rule out XML/Dom issues in serialization.
I don't understand 1) why the release build vs. debug build behavior is different for a RemoteObject call, 2) why the calls work in debug build when sending over a somewhat large (but, not unreasonable) amount of data in a String object, but not in release build.
I have't tried to find out exactly where the failure point in size is, but, not sure that's even relevant, since 44kb isn't an unreasonable size to expect.
By turning on the Debug mode in BlazeDS, I can see the object and it's attributes being serialized and everything looks good there. The calls are received and processed appropriately in BlazeDS for both debug and release build testing.
Anyone have an idea on other things to try to debug/resolve this?
Platform testing is BlazeDS 4, Flashbuilder 4.7, Websphere 8 server, iPhone (iOS 7.1.2). Tried using multiple Flex SDK's 4.12 to the latest 4.13, with no change in behavior.

After a week's worth of debugging, I found the issue.
The Java type returned from the call was defined as ArrayList. Changing it to List resolved the problem.
I'm not sure why ArrayList isn't a valid return type, I've been looking at the Adobe docs, and still can't see why this isn't valid. And, why it works in Debug mode and not in Release build is even stranger. Maybe someone can shed some light on the logic here to me.

Try settings/general/reset/reset network settings. If that does not do it then contact your carrier

When trying to reinstall using the Cleaner Tool Jacob suggested, can you take a note of the location?
Error: "The licensing subsystem has failed catastrophically." when you start a Creative Suite 3.x application

Activation fails when not anwsering an incoming call Air for Android

Hi,
I'm developing a game with Adobe AIR for Android; we are handling events for Deactivate (Pausing) / Activate (just tracing for now) of the game.
It works OK when: I press home button and then go back. When I get an incoming call and answer it. When I get an incoming call and reject it. They all activate the game when finished
It doesn’t work when: I get an incoming call and I missed it (no answering, no rejection either) instead of activating the game again a black screen is showed (trace on Activate event is not fired either).
Did anyone experience the same issue?

I tried the above case on Samsung S4(v4.2.2)(Currently I have with me) with latest AIR SDK available at http://www.adobe.com/devnet/air/air-sdk-download.html and I am getting the activate and deactivate event if I get an incoming call and I missed it. Have you also upgraded your 9iAS instance to 1.0.2.2? The WPG_SESSION API error commonly appears when you are not using the lastest version of mod_plsql contained in 1.0.2.2.

Media applications fail to output sound. [SOLVED]

The issue here seems to be that for some reason or another applications such as VLC, Nightingale, clementine and amarok fail to output sound while system sounds, flash media, and notification sounds from applications such as Skype and Thunderbird continue to work. With each of the music players respectfully there seems to be an error output that amounts to not being able to connect to the sound device. As nightingale is what I currently have installed, the error output is such when I attempt to play any sort of media.
Configured audiosink audiosink-bin is not working.
I am using E17 after formerly having used KDE however I had similar problems with the initial install that were fixed after setting the default device in alsamixer.

Every thing seems to be loaded correctly and speakertest -c 2 seems to be working. The problem I had last time was with flash blocking sound output from other programs, but this problem subsided after having correctly set my default with alsamixer. I began to have the problem of flash blocking other applications from outputting sound when a browser was open a couple of days ago, but this has somehow progressed to any media application failing to output sound at anytime regardless if a browser has been opened or not. I uninstalled flashplugin and now rely on the plugin packaged within chrome but the problem persists. Any suggestions? I have read the wiki on alsa and on the flash plugin and have searched around but have found nothing that addresses my problem or that I have not already implemented or tried.
EDIT: It seems that I have gotten vlc to start working again. The issue here seems to be that /etc/alsa.conf had been marked by pacman as /etc/alsa.conf.pacorig and renaming it and setting vlc to output directly to the default device instead of having set to default has gotten sound working for it again. It seems the only problem that remains and I have gotten this error is other applications and it is probably the problem behind XBMC not playing audio but the audiosink-bin is not working error is most likely the source of the additional problems. I will look into it and see if I get any reply in the meantime.
EDIT: Due to something beyond my intelligence it seems that nightingale now plays sound and can even do so with chrome and a youtube video open. I am guessing the problem lied in the gstreamer plugins and when I removed all of my orphaned dependencies that may have been what had done it, something may have been in conflict or maybe just from the couple of reboots I have had since then. I did reinstall the plugins but there was a package that was removed called smpeg and another called sdlmixer those may have had something to do with it. So the moral of this story is to remove orphans on a regular basis, which I have been doing but just got around to today. If anyone has any input, which I doubt at this point. I will mark this as solved

Basically, my USB webcam, which also acts as a microphone, was being treated as my default sound card. I changed this by creating a file in /etc/modprobe.d with the following:

Which set my real sound card as default:

The problem isn't ENTIRELY fixed. Skype's still being a bit buggy, but at least Chromium is now playing sound, including in Flash media. Strangely enough, after playing a Flash video (e.g. on YouTube), Skype's sound seems to fix itself if it's defunct.

Trigger fails when variable used in WHERE statement

I have a trigger that works when the following statment is in it:
SELECT custcall.callrkey into v_callrkey from custcall where custcall.servno = 152345;
But the trigger fails when I attempt to use a variable in the where statement as follows.
SELECT custcall.callrkey into v_callrkey from custcall where custcall.servno = :new.servno ;
Even though I have verified that the value of :new.servno is set to 152345 by outputting the value . That is the only difference between the working version and the non-working version. By not working I mean that the email which is to be sent by the trigger is not received.
Can anyone give me any ideas of how I could troubleshoot this or what might me happening? I'm pretty new to this and
feel that I'm missing something very simple. My apologies in advance if this has been posted elsewhere. I did spend a lot of time searching the forum before posting.

Thanks for the reply. I'm away for a couple of days but when I get back to this I'm going to follow up on your suggestion about servno. I'm starting to think that the issue isn't with servno but rather that the select query doesn't return anything because the value I'm trying to get is in another table and is not being inserted in time for me to get them. This will be easiy enough to test. To be honest, I don't know very much about how things are being inserted.
I appreciate your and Tubby's (and Tom's) concerns. Maybe I'll go back to the drawing board next week. But note that I'm not inserting anything with this trigger--only sending an email based on the insert that is happening through an application. So unless I'm really missing it, my email is dependent on the insert but not vice versa. Since my email is absolutely critical but rather jus a courtesy thing, I was taking a pretty laid back attitude about it but it would be good for me to learn a better way.

Please confirm you use the correct upgrade sequence.
Manual in-place server replacement – You must manually uninstall the existing MBAM server infrastructure, and then install the MBAM 2.0 infrastructure. If you are using MBAM
with Configuration Manager, you must also remove the Configuration Manager objects. You do not need to remove the databases to do the upgrade. Instead, you select the existing databases, which were created by the previous version of the MBAM Client, and the
MBAM 2.0 upgrade installation then migrates the existing databases to MBAM 2.0.

Call to WPG_SESSION API Failed. Error-Code:6550

Can someone please help me figure out what I may be doing wrong? Using recent downloaded versions of 8i and 9iAS I cannot access Portal30 using IE5 browser. Please see error below. During portal configuration I specified connect string of oracle:1521:dba1. The connectstring entry of the DAD is dba1. I ran ssodatan. The database is open, listener is listening and SQL*Plus, DBA Studio, Net8 Assistant all connect to dba1 fine. Discussions mention cookies, upgrades, etc., but nothing definitive. Troubleshooting Guide does not reference error 6550. I am at a loss. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I downloaded and installed 8.1.7 on NT host oracle then downloaded and installed 9iAS on another NT host. Portal Diagnostics are successful, however I get database login failed when attempting to use IE5 browser to access portal at http://oracle/pls/portal30/PORTAL30.home

TNS is unable to connect to destination. Invalid TNS address supplied or destination is not listening. This error can also occur because of underlying network transport problems.
Verify that the TNS name in the connectstring entry of the DAD for this URL is valid and the database listener is running.

I met that error several times. Check TNS connection from web server box to database server, if applicable. - use tnsping.
That's the only cause that produces the error. If the web server box has more than one Oracle Home, find the correct one. Check $iAS_home/Apache/bin/apachectl script which will tell you its oracle home directory. It may not use $TNS_ADMIN/tnsnames.ora, but $ORACLE_HOME/network/admin/tnsnames.ora.

the reproduce steps :
1. Create a Bursting query in the Data Model
2. Create Report Job with the option

*Note:not all the report job failed when bursting is used, in step1 when set OUTPUT_FORMAT as PDF,HTML,RTF,PowerPoint 2007,
the report will be run successfully,but when set other OUTPUT_FORMAT that list in the following document, the report can not run successfully.
