    Hi Krishnan,
You cannot call a transaction from WebDynpro ABAP. You can instead create an transactional iView in the portal. Go through this link for further information.

    Hello,
Since you can't use the call transaction command in web dynpros components, I suggest you to create a report and fill a BDC table on this and use the call transaction in this report.
So, in your web dynpro component you can use a command SUBMIT to create a job in background.
    DATA: number           TYPE tbtcjob-jobcount,
          name             TYPE tbtcjob-jobname VALUE 'JOB_TEST',
          print_parameters TYPE pri_params.
    CALL FUNCTION 'JOB_OPEN'

  • Call Transaction thru WB4A.

    Hi,
Is It possible to call Transaction thru WB4A.
I mean to say by writitng follwing code can i call Screen
    Code :
call transaction 'SE24' using bdcdata_tab options from opt.
If No which is alternative way.
    Thanks & Regards
    PK

What exactly do you want to acomplish. As stated you can't do a call transaction from Web Dynpro ABAP. Afterall what would you expect to happen to the Classic Dynpro screens?  However there are some possibilities.  Do you just want to launch a classic dynpro transaction or navigate to one.  You have a few choices for that.  If you are in the portal, you can of course to object based navigation and navigate to a SAPGUI or ITS based iView.  By the same token, you can navigate from WD directly using a linkToURL or Exit Plug to an ITS WebGUI URL. In effect this is like running a call transaction - except the new transaction opens using the ITS.

  • Can not call RFC contains "call transaction"  in webdynpro

We use Webdynpro to develope a UI that can create service orders in CRM
system. We create an RFC funciton "ZKLEE_CRM_ORDER_MODIFY" in CRM,which
contain a statement of "CALL TRANSACTION 'CRMD_BUS2000120' USING T_BDC
    MODE 'N' MESSAGES INTO MESSTAB.".
But as we exacute the RFC from WEB,we got 3 error messages in the
    output "MESSTAB":
    1.MESSAGE ID = "DC",MESSAGE NUMBER = "006", MESSAGE = "Control
Framework: Fatal error - GUI cannot be reached".
    2.MESSAGE ID = "SY",MESSAGE NUMBER = "002", MESSAGE = "Exception
    condition CNTL_ERROR raised."
    3.MESSAGE ID = "00",MESSAGE NUMBER = "359",and it is a terminate
    message.
The problem is that we can use webdynpro to call RFCs that do not
contain "call transaction" freely. At first we suspect that it is our
RFC function's fault, but we tried it in ABAP enviroment, and it works
OK. We also tried to call this RFC in JSP through JCO,the same error
    occurs.
    Our system enviroment is CRM 4.0, J2EE 640, kernel 640 patch 109.

    HI,
    Thank you for your information.
Maybe you are right that BAPI/RFC can not contain "call transaction" statement. But two weeks ago, one of my colleagues tried to use "call transaction" in RFC through JCO in our R/3 enviroment(not in CRM),and he successed.
So I suspect the kernel release. The kernel of R/3 is 640,while CRM is 620(I said our CRM kernel release is 640 before, and it is a mistake.).I will confirm whether what my colleague said is right by myself, and will also told you the result.

How can I realise it with less effort?

    Hi Jörg,
thx 4 ur answer but is ITS the only way for solving this problem? Is it still state of the art?
What about Portal -> Application Integration with iView,
WebDynpro, etc. Is it also possible with this technology to call a sap transaction in a web browser with less effort?
I have to do a kind of evaluation for the best integration
of an sap transaction in a web browser.

  • Call transaction VA01 or VA03 and skip first screen using Web dynpro

    Hello Experts,
I am calling the standard transactions using Web dynpro via ITS.
I am able to reach to the initial screen of the standard transactions say VA03 and populate the sales order number through Web dynpro.
My requirement is to skip the first screen of the transaction.
I tried passing the screen number in the URL link but still it is showing the initial screen.

  • Reg calling Transaction code in Webdynpro ABAP

    Hi All,
Can I call Transaction code in Webdynpro ABAP Portal Application. If so, how can this be possible? Can anybody give me a lead?
    Thanks.
    Kumar Saurav.

    Hi,
The most easy Way is here:
    1) Test any Webdynpro Application from SE80 when the webdynpro Browser opens to display output
Copy its HTTP link, Suppose we get the below link
    http://r3d01web1.Siemens.dk:8001/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/z_dynamic_view?sap-client=002&sap-language=EN
    2) Now replace some part of the above link ( webdynpro/sap/z_dynamic_view?sap-client=002&sap-language=EN )  with the new link part ( gui/sap/its/webgui?~transaction=PA30 )
So that the newly generated link is such that the below one:
    http://r3d01web1.Siemens.dk:8001/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui?~transaction=PA30
Note in place of PA30 you can put any of your desired tcode.
    3) Now Just Make a webdynpro component and in its View layout put a LINK TO URL ui element
and in its property REFERENCE just past the http link ( http://r3d01web1.Siemens.dk:8001/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui?~transaction=PA30 )
    4) Activate and test your webdynpro Application.

  • Web Dynpro ABAP call transaction in the foreground

In Screen Painter/SAP ALV, we can create a screen where for example if you double click on a sales order field it can take you a VA03 transaction by :
call transaction VA03 ... and skip first screen.
I am creating Web Dynpro ABAP application that needs to do the same thing where if we click on the field, it will take to VA03 transaction or other transactions.
Has anyone done this in Web Dynpro ABAP? I have done some research and determine that we cannot call transaction in the foreground? I hope I am wrong.  Any help/insights will be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Phong,
WDA is generic client to Netweaver connection based on HTTP/S.
At this stage on a few clients are supported. WEB dynpro client and Browsers...
SAPGUI connects to SAP using a different protocol.
No SAPGUI connection is implied by a WDA client connection.
Therefore  abap statements that invoke screens and otherwise assume SAPGUI
is connected are not supported in WDA.   eg call screen, call transaction
    You can either
                         a) build your own WDC to front end calls to BAPIs to get the Sales order data.
                        b) open/ exit to the new WDC for Sales Orders in ERP2005
                              see LORD_MAINTAIN_COMP
                           c) exit to the INTERNAL ITS URL for transaction VA03
                               eg http://<host>:<port>/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui?~Transaction=VA03
but getting the skip first screen may require you to call custom tran ZVA03
which calls VA03 to skip first screen setting the PID appropriately.
Hopefully you opt for option a) or b).
    c) can work... I have used it from BSPs but it not pretty.
    regards
    Phil

  • Calling a SAP Transactional iview into a WebDynpro

    Hi,
Can we call a sap Transactional URL through a webdynpro Application?
I need to call a SAP Transaction using a webdynpro Link.Is it possible by creating a SAP Transactional Url and then calling this Transactional URL Through a link of WebDynPro.If so how?
    Regards,
    Raja Akella.

    Raja,
In one of the client we needed to create a lot of iviews pointing to SAP transactions and then put them in Detailed Navigation. Sort of like user menus in SAPGUI. I ended up creating mass content for this. There is a <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/964">weblog</a> you can refer or better the <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/aaa54576-0501-0010-2a91-d4aeb886bc27">howto</a> guide.

  • How to Call Transaction iView that calls RRMXP from Web Dynpro for ABAP

    Dear Experts,,
I'm developing an application in Web Dynpro for ABAP wherein I'm supposed to give a link that should open an SAP Transaction iView that calls  tcode = 'RRMXP' and I pass the application parameter as QUERY/WBID = <BI query/Workbook ID>.
I tried calling com.sap.portal.appintegrator.sap.bwc.Transaction iView, but it asks for system/application and GUI type parameters. How to pass through the URL?
Any help would be highly appreciated
    Regds,
    Srini

    Hi Wolfgang,,
My problem was that I was supposed to call the BeX Web Analyser ( a BI excel based tool - client installation) on click of a button in my WD-ABAP application. I solved it as follows :
In the portal pcd, I cam across a folder content provided by SAP. Here, you'll find standard template iViews that can be used to call applications ( for which you make iViews). I had to call an SAP TCode : RRMXP so as to call a BI Workbook/Query.
So, I called the standard iView template for sap_transaction_iView as follows :
    irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtmode/preview/prtroot/'
               'pcd!3aportal_content!2fcom.sap.pct!2ftemplates'
               '!2fiviews!2fcom.sap.portal.sap_transaction_iview?'
               'sap-config-mode=true&System=BWR3System&TCode=RRMXP'
               '&GuiType=WinGui&OkCode=y&ApplicationParameter='  <appnm>  into url.
          l_popup =
             l_window_manager->create_external_window( url = url
                                          has_menubar = ' '
                                         has_statusbar = ' '
                                          has_toolbar = ' '
                                          has_location = ' ').
          l_popup->open( ).
    And , it worked.
Any more help pls feel free to revert.

  • Call Transaction (BAPI) in ABAP Web Dynpro

I'm developing a ABAP WD application which make use of a RFC BAPI. The BAPI will then use call transaction to perform certain operation on R3.
    <b>CALL TRANSACTION 'IQS12' USING bdcdata MODE 'P'
      MESSAGES INTO itab.</b>
It works fine when I tested it using TCode SE37. When the call transaction fails all error message is trapped inside the internal table.
However when I run it using ABAP WD, it does not return the internal table but an error page on the portal. The error message was displayed on the portal page. I would like to handle the error message by my own. Is there any way doing this?
Appreciate if anyone can sort this out for me. Thanks in advance.
    Ricky

    Hi,
It's okie now. I have found out that this is a known issue and there's a SAP notes (935725) for that.
According to the notes, call transaction with message type E will fail if the BAPI is executed through http.
    Thanks for replying. Appreciate that.
