Call user command / PAI from ALV

Hello,
Is there a possibility to call a user command from within an ALV method? I want the PAI module of the ALV's screen to run.
best regards
Roland

Hi,
Yes you can make an ALV interactive which will execute is PAI (USER COMMAND) when user performs any action.
CALL FUNCTION 'REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY'
   EXPORTING
     i_callback_program                = sy_repid       " report id
     i_callback_pf_status_set          = 'PF'           " for PF-STATUS
     i_callback_user_command           = 'COMMAND'      " for User-Command
     is_layout                         = wa_layout      " for layout
     it_fieldcat                       = it_field       " field catalog
   TABLES
     t_outtab                          = it_final      " internal table
   EXCEPTIONS
     program_error                     = 1
     OTHERS                            = 2.
When you double-click on any cell of alv grid, use this code to fetch the data of the line that you currently clicked, its working:-
When you double click on the ALV grid line, you will have sy-ucomm = '&IC1'.
So when you define a i_callback_user_command for the FM reuse_alv_grid_display, and create it as:-
FORM command USING ucomm LIKE sy-ucomm selfield TYPE slis_selfield.
  DATA : ok_code TYPE sy-ucomm.
  ok_code = ucomm.
  CASE ok_code.
    WHEN '&IC1'. "for double click on alv grid line
      " your code
  ENDCASE.
ENDFORM.
As you have used selfield TYPE slis_selfield, the field selfield will hold all the values.
To know on which row you have clicked and to retain that line, use code:-
Suppose you are currently displaying data from internal table itab and corresponding to it you have work area wa.
read table itab into wa index selfield-tabindex. "index value of line you clicked
" now you have the contents of line that you double clicked currently
Now to know the field name that you clicked, use:-
selfield-fieldname " will fetch you the name of field that you clicked
Now using the work-area and the name of field that you clicked, you can easily make out the details of the field i.e., field name and field value and you can code as per your requirement.
Also you can refer this wiki by me on:-
ALV Grid Display with checkbox to process selected records at runtime
https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/wiki?path=/display/snippets/alv%252bgrid%252bdisplay%252bwith%252bcheckbox%252bto%252bprocess%252bselected%252brecords%252bat%252bruntime
To have checkbox with each record in alv and display on those records on next display which were selected by the user on initial grid.
Hope this helps you.

Tarun

  • USER COMMAND FOR INTERACTIVE ALV REPORT

    Hi Frens
    I am making an interactive alv report showing a cost center hierarchy. I could scuccessfully capture the first click event in the user command using  '&IC1'. Now i want to capture the second click event for the third hierarchy.
    When i try to do that, the program flow keeps hitting the same user command time n again. I want to put in a different code for the different click events. What is the way to achieve this?
    I searched ....there is nothing like '&IC2'. It does not work.

    hi,
    You can try this for the first click
    READ TABLE IST_EVENTS INTO WA_EVENT WITH KEY NAME = 'USER_COMMAND'.
      IF SY-SUBRC EQ 0.
        WA_EVENT-FORM = 'USER_COMMAND'.
        MODIFY IST_EVENTS FROM WA_EVENT TRANSPORTING FORM WHERE NAME = WA_EVENT-NAME.
      ENDIF.
      CALL FUNCTION 'REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY'
        EXPORTING
          I_CALLBACK_PROGRAM       = G_REPID
          I_CALLBACK_PF_STATUS_SET = C_PF         "'SET_PF_STATUS'

        EXCEPTIONS
          PROGRAM_ERROR            = 1
          OTHERS                   = 2.
    FORM USER_COMMAND USING R_UCOMM TYPE SY-UCOMM
      RS_SELFIELD TYPE SLIS_SELFIELD.
    your code....
    ENDFORM.
    for second click
    READ TABLE IST_EVENTS INTO WA_EVENT WITH KEY NAME = 'USER_COMMAND1'.
      IF SY-SUBRC EQ 0.
        WA_EVENT-FORM = 'USER_COMMAND1'.
        MODIFY IST_EVENTS FROM WA_EVENT TRANSPORTING FORM WHERE NAME = WA_EVENT-NAME.
      ENDIF.

          T_OUTTAB                 = IST_FINAL1.
    hope this solves.

  • Calling User Preference event from within portlet

    Not sure if anybody else has looked at this but we are in the process of rolling out a new G6 Portal and on a number of portlets want to take advantage of the ability to turn off the portlet header. However in doing so you loose access to the inbuilt support for providing access to the User Preference, if one has been defined as part of the portlet definition. This is relevant on a number of portelts that we want to migrate to the new G6 portal.
    So rather than try and re-invent this from scratch using a different 'link' in the portlet itself we were wondering if you can 'call' the inbuilt user preference functionality from within the portlet code. i.e. When a user clicks on the link within the portlet it performs exactly the same action and interaction within the portal as if they clicked on the User Preference icon in the portlet header.
    We have had a look around to see if this is possible but not come up with anything yet so thought we would seek comments from this forum.
    Many thanks in advance,
    Ross Ellard
    Devonport Management Ltd

    Hey Ross,
    I just realized I have to do the same thing on a very limited scale (3-5 portlets).
    SO I just wrote a little bit of (shoddy) code to show community preferences based on group membership.
    It works for me, but I get the feeling your looking for something like communityactionsdata geared toward portlets, which unfortunately I dont think exists. If you put it in as an enhancement request then support will contact you to discuss your options.
    Here is the code that I'm using for now:
    <pt:standard.choose>
    <pt:standard.when pt:test="stringToACLGroup('group=1,755,760;').isMember($currentuser)">
    <immg border="0" src="htttp://localhost/imageserver/plumtree/portal/public/img/action_portlet_edit.gif">
    </pt:standard.when>
    </pt:standard.choose>
    The only problem is that the preferences submit button refreshes the popup to the portal. So I might need to tweak that a hair so it just closes the popup.
    edited to prevent the forum from trying to use the code I provided

  • Query regarding calling T-code MIGO from ALV report output

    Dear friends,
    I have to call MIGO transaction  from my ALV report output. Now problem is that I have to set the value 'display' In the first header field, 'Material Document' in 2nd header field when MIGO is called from the report output. Morever there is no parameter ID for these two fields. So how to set the values w/o using parameter ids.
    Regards,

    Hi,
    Try this coding,
    FORM DISPLAY.
    CALL FUNCTION 'REUSE_ALV_LIST_DISPLAY'

       I_CALLBACK_USER_COMMAND        = 'USER_COMMAND'

  • User Command in Dynamic ALV Display

    Hi,
    I have an requirement where i'm displaying Dynamic ALV grid by calling the method by passing the field Symbol in  it_outtab parameter:
    CALL METHOD cl_gui_alv_grid->set_table_for_first_display
    For this i'm creating a custom container in my screen container
    CREATE OBJECT cl_gui_custom_container
            EXPORTING container_name = lv_container.
    Now in the output every record is having a checkbox in the end.Now if the user check this checkbox n clicks on push button(added in Application toolbar) then this record should be kept and rest all the records should be deleted.
    This can be done if an internal table is passed to the method as the field symbol doesnt hold any data after the output is displayed.
    Is there any solution where this can be made possible.
    Thanks in advance.
    Sheetal

    try this ..
    before displaying ALV , store all the data in the fieldsymbol into another internal table
    then display ALV with field symbol
    after u click the pushbutton , get the seleted rows into another table using get_selected rows,
    now again call CALL METHOD cl_gui_alv_grid->set_table_for_first_display
    and give the new selected rows of internal table and refresh the grid

  • Passing different range of GL accounts from ALV to a transaction

    I want to call the transaction FBL3n from ALV and also have to pass all the GL account ranges like 600000 to 699999, 700000 to 7199999 at the same time to the transaction from the alv. This is neccasary from me. How can i do that.

    Hello,
    U can do it.
    Instead of using the CALL TRANSACTION use
    SUBMIT RFITEMGL WITH SLECTION-SCREEN and don't use return.
    Before the SUNMIT stmt fill the Range Table.

  • Command line from ExtendScript

    I would like to call a command line from a FrameMaker ExtendScript script. Is this possible? Any help or pointers will be appreciated. Thanks.
    Rick Quatro

    Hi Rick,
    AFAIK there's no direct way to call a process with parameters by ExtendScript.
    If want to call a process without parameters, you can execute this file with method "execute" with is provided by "File" class .
    If I have to call this process with parameters, I write write a batch file by script and execute this file.
    Bye

  • I have a problem with ALV Grid User Command?

    Hi Experts,
    I have a problem with ALV GRID User Command.
    I am calling TCODE IW33 (Order Display) from the ALV output at first time by selecting an order. But, User command is calling IW33 Initial screen with blank value of order. Even I checked in debugging the value what I selected is passing properly, but once that screen (IW33 Initial) displays, value doesn't appear. Then, Manually, I  created another session and gone to TCODE IW33 and displayed an order. After that I came out from that order. Then again run my ALV program and selected another order, now order is displaying, but not what I selected current order instead of displaying previous order what I just displayed manually. If I selected any other order, system will display the same order what I dislayed manually.
    Here is my code.
    FORM user_command_alv  USING u_ucomm TYPE sy-ucomm
                           us_self_field TYPE slis_selfield.
    CASE u_ucomm.
    WHEN '&IC1'.
    READ TABLE it_final INDEX us_self_field-tabindex INTO wa_final.
            WHEN 'ORDER'.
              IF NOT wa_final-order IS INITIAL.
                SET PARAMETER ID 'COK' FIELD wa_final-order.
                CALL TRANSACTION 'IW33' AND SKIP FIRST SCREEN.
              ENDIF.
    endform.
    PARAMETER ID 'COK'  also the standard one.
    Could you please help me out, Where I did wrong?
    If I select any order, that order only should display.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Sarayu.

    hi,
    Please check it once the Paramater ID is 'ANR' for IW33 order number.
    Hope this may help.

    you can directly handle that in PBO module of the screen....
    you can give a direct
    set PF-status statement in any of the module in PBO...
    and you can handle in PAI

  • User command in ALv

    how to handle user command in alv grid?
    if we want to select only one row, but we get a table from calling method
    get_selected_rows.
    is there any method or way of getting a single row which is selected?

    Hi,
    This method indeed returns the table but only with the selected rows. Therefore when you select only one row, it will contain only one entry. For this use second parameter of the method ET_ROW_NO as the first one is obsolete. It will contain indexes of the selected rows.
    Note!
    You must use one of the these selection modes (A, C, D) in this case. The default one is B, so you have to change it in layout structure.
    layout_structure-sel_mode = 'A'.  "i.e.

  • At user command in alv's

    how to handle at user commads in alv's?

    Hi Praveen
    Interactive Reports
    As the name suggests, the user can Interact with the report. We can have a drill down into the report data. For example, Column one of the report displays the material numbers, and the user feels that he needs some more specific data about the vendor for that material, he can HIDE that data under those material numbers.
    And when the user clicks the material number, another report (actually sub report/secondary list) which displays the vendor details will be displayed.
    We can have a basic list (number starts from 0) and 20 secondary lists (1 to 21).
    Events associated with Interactive Reports are:
    AT LINE-SELECTION
    AT USER-COMMAND
    AT PF<key>
    TOP-OF-PAGE DURING LINE-SELECTION.
    HIDE statement holds the data to be displayed in the secondary list.
    sy-lisel : contains data of the selected line.
    sy-lsind : contains the level of report (from 0 to 21)
    <u><b>Interactive Report Events:</b></u>
    AT LINE-SELECTION : This Event triggers when we double click a line on the list, when the event is triggered a new sublist is going to be generated. Under this event what ever the statements that are been return will be displayed on newly generated sublist.
    AT PFn: For predefined function keys...
    <u><b>AT USER-COMMAND :</b></u> It provides user functions keys.
    TOP-OF-PAGE DURING LINE-SELECTION :top of page event for secondary list.
