Calling a form in Update form

Hi,
I'am calling a form from another form but passing one of the parameters to the second form. The second form is only showing the query and reset button, no matter what i do it's not showing the update button. can anyone help me.
i wrote thIS code in the second form before displaying the form
p_session.set_value(p_block_name => 'DEFAULT',p_attibute_name => '_FORM_STATE',p_value => 'UPDATE_AND_DELETE');
but it's giving me an error saying , wrong number of parameters.

Hi,
You should call the form in the query mode. Here is a sample which will call the form for a deptno 10.
portalschema.wwa_app_module.link?p_arg_names=_moduleid&p_arg_values=1280222922&p_arg_names=_show_header&p_arg_values=YES&p_arg_names=deptno&p_arg_values=10&p_arg_names=_deptno_cond&p_arg_values=%3D
The deptnocond is required for the form in query mode. If you want to query for empno and not deptno then it should be empnocond

in a BC4J column? If so, one way to do so would be something along the lines of

What is "Update Form"?

When I create an Application Express application, I automatically get four forms:
1 - Report Page
2 - Insert Form
3 - Update Form
4 - Success Page
I understand 1,2, and 4 well enough; but what's the point of Update Form, when you can update a record on the Report Page?

Just to clarify, Report Page was created as an interactive form, meaning that it's in tabular format and can be edited.
However, I never deliberately created Update Form. It just showed up after I created my app. I added to it all the same items that are in Insert Form, but now that Update Form is finished, I can't use it to update the form.
When I run Update Form, it displays blank fields, just like the page called Insert Form. I don't understand what Update Form is for. I use Insert Form to insert records. Because Report Form is interactive, I can use it to edit records. What is Update Form for?

Need to automatically display update date and user in update form field

Hi all,
Hopefully someone can help me with this... I am using dreamweaver cs4 and php/mysql. I have a database table that will be updated by 1-5 different people at random times. I have everything set up and working, as far as the update function, delete function, add new, etc. In my update form the last two fields are Last Updated and Last Updated By. There are fields in the table called 'last_updated' (formatted in PHPmyadmin as timestamp) and 'last_updated_by'. But how do I get them to update on their own? Right now it is showing the first entry into the field which I did in the PHPmyadmin table, but it is not updating automatically. It would be a nice field to have so that we know who has worked on the table and when it was last updated, without the user manually typing that in, which I am sure they would forget to do. By the way, users will login to this with a username and password before editing the records.
This is the code for the last row in the update form with those two fields. It is pulling the fields from the database table, but they do not update automatically...

Error while calling a form from another form's menu item

I created a main form and menu module for this form.
I am calling another form from main form menu item.
i moved both the forms and menu and compiled them.
But, when i run this form i am getting an error saying
FRM 92100: Your connection to the server was interrupted
This may be the result of a network error, or a failure on the server.
You will need to establish your session.
I set the seperateframe = true
networkentries = 30
But still getting the same error.
Is there any parameter that i am missing.
I will greatly appreciate if anybody can direct me to the solution.

I want to call a report from a form.My problem scenario like, a user is login to his account and there is a option called ADMIT CARD(Push Button).Now when he pressed the button a report will generate.I want that when he pressed the button the user id of the user will passed to the report and the report will generate corresponding to his details which was stored in the database.This scenario is like any online admit card.

Use web.show_document instead of Run_Report_Object. If the jsp contains a paper layout you can still use Run_Report_Object, but you have to specify the filename extension .jsp along with the filename.

Calling a Report from a Form

I have uploaded my form to the app server and compiled to Linux. I have copied my RDF file to the reports_path/demo directory. I can run the report via a link from our portal using the URL as follows:
/reports/rwservlet?report=IndRpt.rdf&desformat=pdf&destype=cache&userid=' target="_blank"
That opens the report in a separate window, which is what we want. So far, so good.
I can run the form via a link from our portal as well using the URL as follows:
/forms/frmservlet?config=bsc_ind
The config section hides all the form parameters very nicely.
In the portal, I created a Report Server Access portlet, REP_OMHAST2_MIDTIER, and use the following set_report_object calls in my form:

All that comes right out of the white paper.
Now here's the weird part, I have never seen this before. When I click my "Show Report" button in my form, the report seems to be running, but then I get a very strange dark grey, square icon superimposed over my mouse pointer. The icon has a small yellow "starburst" pattern with a tiny red exclamation point inside. The report does not appear on screen.
Incidentally, all of this works correctly when I run the same scenario on my workstation using the call to rwserver as: rwserver server=rep_omhast2_midtier. But when we port it to the app server, it does not run. I think it has to be in the way the form calls the report because the report will run as a stand-alone object.
Anything apparent to anyone out there?

Well, it looks like I stumped the band. And with good reason. Sorry for the error. The problem was that the user running the form and the report had a pop-up blocker that was blocking the report. The form and the report ran from another machine. I allowed pop-ups from the report's URL and that enabled the report to appear.
So, here we have another example of how to call a report from a form. Again, I am sorry for any angst this may have caused.

Can you move a 'Multiple Image Upload' button into the 'Update Form'?

I am able to creat and an Update form and an image upload using the "Update Form Wizard" tool and the "Multiple Image Upload" tool succesfully.

A control can only appear once in the visual tree. So you have to remove it from the Grid before you can add it to the DockPanel.

Calling BI Reports from Oracle Forms

Hi Guys,
I have successfully called the BI Reports from Form Services at my Development Server.
But now I am deploying the same in production Server but the following error is coming.

Does any body have any idea which jar file I can find the above method.

Error calling web service from Adobe form

Hi Experts,
While calling web service form my adobe form, i was getting an error as below saying "Error attempting to read from the file" followed by the URL of my web service.
To create the above scenario i followed the following steps:
1. Create a Function module and create a web service from that function module.
2. Through SOAMANAGER, download the WSDL file for the generated web service.
3. Create an Adobe form with an empty Interface and create a new Data Connection on the form using the downloaded WSDL.
4. Generate this adobe form using an ABAP report.
Kindly extend help on this to figure out if I'm missing something!!!
