    b) should i extend the standard AM and call the pl/sql package from the extended am . is extending am allowed ?Extending AM is <b>allowed</b>, but as can achieve your goal through the CO extension, why bother to touch AM :)

  • Can I reference page-flow bean from a bounded-task-flow page-fragment?

    I have a view activity implemented as page fragment in my bounded task flow.
    I declare a page-flow scope managed-bean in adfc-config.xml to do some initialization for the bounded-task-flow:
    <managed-bean id="__23">
    <managed-bean-name id="__22">TaskFlowBean</managed-bean-name>
    <managed-bean-class id="__21">view.backing.TaskFlowBackingBean</managed-bean-class>
    <managed-bean-scope id="__20">pageFlow</managed-bean-scope>
    </managed-bean>
    In my bounded task flow, the default activity is a method-call activity which call the page-flow bean method
    <method-call id="initFlow">
    <method>#{pageFlowScope.TaskFlowBean.initFlow}</method>
    <outcome id="__27">
    <fixed-outcome>showPanel</fixed-outcome>
    </outcome>
    </method-call>
    But JDeveloper (11.1.1.2) show a warning "Refereneed pageFlowScope not found" at the "Diagram" view of the flow definition.
    The fixed outcome of the default activity is to render a page-fragment which also reference the page-flow scope bean method getPanelTitle():
    <af:panelBox text="#{pageFlowScope.TaskFlowBean.panelTitle}" id="pb1">
    <f:facet name="toolbar"/>
    </af:panelBox>
    At runtime, the page fragment was rendered properly except the panel box title is missing. No other error is reported
    When I debugged the application, the bean methods initFlow() and getPanelTitle() didn't get call as the program didn't stop at the breakpoint set in the bean methods.
    The page fragment was rendered properly except the panel box title is missing.
    When I change the scope to backing bean, both initFlow() and getPanelTitle() get called but under a different backing bean.
    As the bean attributes set by initFlow() were not no longer set when getPanelTitle() was invoked even though the methods were invoked in the correct order.
    Why can't I use a page-flow scope bean within the bounded task flow?
    On further debugging, I noticed the bean was not created when it is set to be page-flow scope. I put a debug message in the constructor... never get called.
    When should a page-flow scope bean be created to be accessible on entry to a bounded task flow?
    Edited by: Pricilla on Apr 29, 2010 3:16 PM

    Please check the scope of the pageFlow from the manual.
    pageFlowScope is only available for the pages/views in that taskflow and not in the included taskflows.

  • Call a view's method from Component Controller.

    Hi
    Is it possible to call a view's method from Component Controller.
    Regards
    Nikhil

    Hi Tummuru,
    I have created an event in Component Controller by the name toMenuView. Now I created a method in which this event is getting fired. Foll. is the code of the method.
      public void fireToMenuView( )
       wdComponentAPI.getMessageManager().reportSuccess("fireToMenuView");
       wdThis.wdFireEventToMenuView();
    Now I have created an event handler "handleToMenuView" in the MenuView and subscribed the event handler to the event in Component Controller.
    The control is reaching to the fire event in component controller but not to the Event handler in view controller.
    What am I missing.

  • Hpw tp call a 'Page with Flow Logic' from within a View

    Within the same BSP, I have the requirment to call a page in the ;Page with Flow Logic' section from a page in the 'View' section.
    Is this possible and if it is, how do I do it?  I have tried some calls but they all have failed.

    in the view you want to navigate then try
    <bsp: call > or <bsp: goto>  htmlb tags. or else you can use window.open method and open in a new window.

  • Calling a BSP page with flow logic from LAYOUT

    Hello all.  I am developing a BSP transaction to update HR data on SAP.  I initially developed this with one 'page with flow logic' and several 'page fragment's.  It has been suggested that I break this out into several pages with flow logic because the code in  the 'OnInputProcessing' Event Handler was getting quite complicated.  I was using the BSP directive to execute my 'page fragments'.  This was very simple to do.  What do I replace the BSP directive to call a page fragment with in order to call a page with flow logic.  I have included the code below.  I have converted the 'body.htm' 'page fragment' to a 'page with flow logic' and I am not sure of the correct way to call the page.  I do not have access to the navigation->goto_page( 'body.htm' ) at this point.  I am new to BSP and appreciate any help offered.

    Hi,
    uhmmm, as it was previously suggested, you should perhaps think about MVC for your development. Working with classes and methods gives you more room for a better looking code. But at this point I´m not sure where your real problem is. You mentioned first that you created one page with logic and several page fragments and then you are worried because the code in the OnInputProcessing event is getting out of control
    First, you cannot insert a page in a page. You can only insert fragments in a page with <%@include file="header.htm" %>.
    Second, if you don´t have idea of MVC or you don´t want to switch to MVC, then create a modules program (SE38) where you´ll enter your code as subroutines and you call these subroutines from OnInputProcessing as follows:
    perform subrout1 in program XXXXXX tables YYYYY using AAAAA.
    In your programm XXXXX you declare the code as:
    form subrout1 in program XXXXXX tables YYYYY using AAAAA.
    This can be a substitute to classes and methods.

  • Call JavaScript method in FXML from java controller

    I have fxml like
       <fx:root type="javafx.scene.Group" xmlns:fx="http://javafx.com/fxml">
        <fx:script>
            function applyState(oldState, newState)
        </fx:script>
        ....and controller to it.
    The idea is to move some view logic to fxml file.
    So, when I need to change some view state, I want to call applyState from java code.
    The question is how to do it.
    What I have found:
    We can get
    fxmlLoader.getNamespace().get("applyState")and receive sun.org.mozilla.javascript.internal.InterpretedFunction.
    NetBeans see this class. But while building the project i have an error
    error: package sun.org.mozilla.javascript.internal does not exist
    But this class really exists in rt.jar in JRE.
    After that I have stopped digging into this.
    I suspect that using internal API is not a good idea to call this InterpretedFunction.
    Can somebody suggest how can I make such an invocation?
    Edited by: 940811 on Nov 19, 2012 11:21 PM

    Until JavaFX doesn't expose the ScriptEngine instance of FXMLLoader, there's no way to communicate (Java <-> Javascript) with the <fx:script>.
    But, if you want to rely on a hack, you can do this:
        private ScriptEngine extractScriptEngine(FXMLLoader loader) {
            try {
                Field fse = loader.getClass().getDeclaredField("scriptEngine");
                fse.setAccessible(true);
                return (ScriptEngine) fse.get(loader);
            } catch (IllegalAccessException | NoSuchFieldException | SecurityException ex) {
                Logger.getLogger(BrowserFXController.class.getName()).log(Level.SEVERE, null, ex);
            return null;
        }

  • Calling a method in view from component controller?

    Hi,
    Is it posible to call a method that is defined in the Component Controller in the View?
    If it is posible please give some sample code how to call the method?
    Regards,
    Padmalatha.K

    Padmalatha, all the methods defined in a controller from 'Methods' tab are instance methods. An instance method defined in a component controller is callable from any view controller that holds a reference to the component controller.
    Defining methods between the tags
    //@@begin others
    //@@end
    is useful if you want to declare static methods.

  • Question on usage of some events in page flow logic

    Hi Group,
    I don't know how to use the following events and also not came across any example using these events:
    1.OnRequest
    2.OnDestroy
    3.OnCreate
    4.OnManipulation
    please let me get some ideas from you on the above if possible with some simple examples.
    thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Vishnu.

    <b>OnCreate</b>
    OnCreate is called once when the page is first created (stateful mode), and performs a once-off data initialization or object creation.
    <b>OnRequest</b>
    OnRequest is called whenever a request is made for a particular page and is used to restore the internal data structures from the request. This is important when working in stateless mode.
    <b>OnInitialization</b>
    This event handler is mainly used for data retrieval. For example, it allows data required for displaying the BSP to be read from the database. It can also execute any program.
    <b>OnInputProcessing</b>
    This event handler checks and processes user input. It can also define navigation, that is, whether the user should be taken to the same page or another when the BSP is called.
    <b>OnManipulation</b>
    You can use this event handler to manipulate the HTTP data stream later.
    <b>OnDestroy</b>
    This event handler is available for special functions.

  • Calling Service Control from Page Flow

    In Workshop for Weblogic Platform v10.0, we have a web service control in a page flow.
    Although the web service call succeeds (as evidenced by a TcpMon monitor), the control method always returns null.
    I'm guessing that although the call looks synchronous, it's actually behaving asynchronously - returning immediately with null.
    Is this perhaps related to the particulars of calling controls from a Page Flow environment? Is it a bug in v10 of Workshop (Eclipse-based?
    Thanks for any ideas!
    - Rob
    ps: Here's the control interface and using class:
    package controls;
    import com.bea.control.ServiceControl;
    import org.apache.beehive.controls.api.events.EventSet;
    import org.apache.beehive.controls.api.bean.ControlExtension;
    @ServiceControl.Location(urls = {"http://LECAP1.lan.us.ray.com:9905/xsltTransform_vs0"})
    @ServiceControl.HttpSoapProtocol
    @ServiceControl.SOAPBinding(style = ServiceControl.SOAPBinding.Style.DOCUMENT, use = ServiceControl.SOAPBinding.Use.LITERAL, parameterStyle = ServiceControl.SOAPBinding.ParameterStyle.BARE)
    @ServiceControl.WSDL(resourcePath = "controls/cesXsltTransform.wsdl", service = "xsltTransform_vs0")
    @ControlExtension
    public interface xsltTransform_vs0ServiceControl extends ServiceControl
    static final long serialVersionUID = 1L;
    public java.lang.String xmlTransform(com.raytheon.schemas.ces.transformationservices.xmlschema.schema.TransformInput transformInput_arg);
    /** This event set interface provides support for the onAsyncFailure event.
    @EventSet(unicast=true)
    public interface Callback extends ServiceControl.Callback {};
    @Control
    private xsltTransform_vs0ServiceControl xsltTransform_vs0ServiceControl1;
    com.raytheon.schemas.ces.transformationservices.xmlschema.schema.TransformInput transformInput_arg = form
                        .getTransformInput_arg();
    String xmlTransformResult = xsltTransform_vs0ServiceControl1
                        .xmlTransform(transformInput_arg);

    Strange -- the PageFlowJspFilter adds no-cache headers to the response, so
    if you're forwarding to a JSP from the action, then the browser shouldn't be
    caching the result. What's in the URL bar in the case where your request is
    getting cached?

  • Xhtmlb: tabStrip - how to execut a page with flow logic

    Hello all, how do I execute a "page with flow logic" from a "tabStrip".  Currently I am using a "page fragment".  But I need to change to a "page with flow logic" becuase of a technical issue.
    Is it possible to tell which tab was selected using event processing?  When I try, I am getting "illegal reference".

      </xhtmlb:tabStripItem>
    </xhtmlb:tabStrip>
    What would I replace the "page frament" with?
    Thanks in advance for your help, Troy

    Hi Troy,
      If i understood your requirement i think you need to move to other pages or views when the tabstrip items or clicked. If your requirement is the above one below is the explanation....
    In the layout you include a attribute  onSelect        = "mySelect" in the tag  xhtmlb:tabStrip.
    For event handling in the oninputprocessing you write the below code,
       CLASS CL_HTMLB_MANAGER DEFINITION LOAD.
    DATA: TABSTRIP TYPE REF TO CL_XHTMLB_TABSTRIP.
    Reading Data from Toolbar
    TABSTRIP ?= CL_HTMLB_MANAGER=>GET_DATA( REQUEST = REQUEST
                                            NAME    = 'xhtmlb:tabstrip'
                                            ID      = 'tb3' ).
    Optional: test that this is an event from HTMLB library.
    IF EVENT_ID = CL_HTMLB_MANAGER=>EVENT_ID.
    Scenario 1: Read event from manager.
      DATA: EVENT TYPE REF TO IF_HTMLB_DATA.
      EVENT = CL_HTMLB_MANAGER=>GET_EVENT_EX( RUNTIME->SERVER->REQUEST ).
    DATA: request_event TYPE REF TO cl_xhtmlb_event.
    request_event ?= event.
    IF EVENT IS NOT INITIAL AND EVENT->EVENT_NAME =
    CL_XHTMLB_TABSTRIP=>CO_EVENT_NAME.
    *---here you can handle the event...
    ENDIF.
    ENDIF.
