yes, its possible to call oaf page from oracle forms.
This has been specified step by step in Developer Guide. Refer it for more.

Opening ADF page from java script

I am trying to use window.open(url, winName) to open an ADF page from java script.
I have set the same winName but when i call the window.open method every time it opens up a new window.
The code is as below:

when I click the button first time, it opens a new window, and keeps opening a new windows on clicking the button again.
I want it to use the same window that was opened first time.

What is your problem with a host command? You can use:
host('c:\program files\internet explorer\iexplore.exe http://server/page.jsp');
There a disadvantage indeed: you have to close the browser before you can return to the form.

Calling a report from Form 6i

Does your report work when it is not called from Forms?
try the following:
[TOOLS_HOME]\BIN\RWRUN60 module=ASUNTOS destype=screen userid=<username>/<password>@<tns> ABOGADO=<some_valid_code>
where TOOLS_HOME is the directory where Reports is installed.
I can see nothing wrong with your code.
Maybe some error in the query?
Also, I would check for the existence of multiple ASUNTOS report definitions. Maybe Forms is calling an older one.

Calling a report from forms with a paramter form

How do you call a report from forms and get it to display the parameter form. Where you can then call the report using this parameter form. I have been using paramform=yes. but it simply runs the form.
I saw on a a thread ages ago that this was a sample of this available for download. Is this true?

Opening an ADF page from an OA framework page

Hello,
We have an OA framework page (a custom app) deployed in Oracle 9i Application server. We intend to develop some ADF pages which will be deployed in a separate Oracle 10g AS. I would like to know if it is possible to open an ADF page from an OA page and the basic interoperability between them. If someone can throw some light on the feasibility of this approach, it would really be helpful. Are there any material available on this?

You way want to ask this on the OA Forum as well.
Because you are running the apps on different servers the interoperability can only be through the db layer. I'm not aware of a solution where the apps are running in the same context, meaning you can't have an transaction spanning both apps.
To open a page of an other app is simply done by putting a link in one app which points to the second app.

Calling SQL*Loader from Forms

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone has called SQL*Loader from Forms?
What I am wanting to do is use Oracle Forms as the interface where you can specify a file that you can import into the database and it will use a set control file. Push the import button and SQL*Loader does the rest.
Is using Java code to call SQL*Loader from Forms a viable option, or is there an easier way to achieve the desired outcome.
Any ideas or guidance will be much appreciated.

In forms, there's a HOST built-in command which is supposed to execute any o/s commands.
What you have to do is :
1. Bult up the string exacltly in the fashion which you will run in o/s
2. Call the HOST Built-in and pass in the string
Here's a example :

How to call a page from an iview

HI SDNs
I have a requirement as follows .
I need to call a page from an iview . for that i developed a html and i gave the hyperlink to call the page.
When i click on hyperlink it is calling page but iviews are not displayed. it is showing masterhead and DLN and but iviews are not shown
Is there any soultion with out solution to display the iviews. i Appreciate if you help at the earliest.

Did you build your hyperlink using "NavigationTarget"?

The reason for asking is , in iReceivables page there is section called Content Layout and which is handled by PL/SQL package. I want to call OA page from this section.

The best approach would be to change the behavior of your site so that it includes index.jsp as one of the default files. Typically that is done using the upper-level control files of the site. Here's a link from Sun that describes their approach.

Actually, you don't say what type of webserver you're using, so it's really hard to guess. But if you were using an Apache webserver, you might want to review the "DirectoryIndex" directive here...

In fact, if you were using Apache and didn't want to do that, you could do a redirect to another page using the "redirect" directive in the webserver control files as described here:
