Calling CMSA from a livecycle process

Hi,
Could anyone please let me know if i can communicate with CMSA from livecycle process management in ES4 anyway?
I could not find any usefull stuff anywhere. So, please let me know if this can be achieved or let me know any alternate solution.
Thanks.

Thanks for the reply.
Now I have developed a custom component as you told in above reply. I am able to get the form in the process.
I am facing a issue in the rendered form. I have a form which contains two fragments and two text assets which are created in the CM. Issue is that, in the process when i render the form I am able to see only fragments and not text assets.
Could you please let me know the reason behind this?
Many thanks!!

  • Could not call batch from command line processing

I am experiencing a strange scenario where I am able to run the FR report by scheduling a batch in HFM and that creates RecRecon successfully. I am trying to do this as a batch script by using the command line script ScheduleBatch.cmd <xml file> <server name> <user name> <pass word>.
This fails to create the report and I see an error message as below
    "Problem encountered in 'EMERALD/Admin/RecReport01'

  • How to tell if the AE programm is called from (1) SYSTEM PROCESS REQUEST or (2) page run control request

We just wrote an AE program and is called through the vanilla SYSTEM PROCESS REQUEST.
It's running on a daily basis ie. with RECURRENCE.
Now we need to call the same program through the regular page run control request.
But we are not how to recognize from inside the AE program if whether it's been called from SYSTEM PROCESS REQUEST or RUN CONTROL REQUEST.
Any of you might have suggestion ?
Any technique or workaround is also appreciated.
    THANKS in Advance .

This AE pgm is currently automatically called from SYSTEM PROCESS REQUEST on a daily basis to load data from an input file deposited on the server ready for pickup.
We would like to use the same AE pgm ( thus using the same validation and loading logic ) to load the same file format but defined by the user ( via attachment load ) as needed any time during the day.
The user will initiate this AE pgm online ( ie. from a page with his parameters ).
Currently, the pgm now already runs automatically daily and we wish to make it also available to be run by user anytime in the day
To achieve that, we would need to know:
Is the AE pgm ran by (a) the user or by the (b) SYSTEM PROCESS REQUEST so that the program can decide of where to take input file.
    (a) Take from an attachment defined by user or (b) from the input file already deposited on the server for pickup
That is the reason why we try to detect who called the AE pgm in order decide where to pickup the input file.
Your help is much appreciated as I do researches but so far haven't gotten a concluded decision.
    Thank you.

  • Calling BPM Sub Process from another BPM Process - Stuck at Sub Process

    Hi
    JDeveloper 11.1.1.6, BPM 11.1.1.6, WLS 10.3.6
I am trying to Call a BPM Process from another BPM Process. Both the processes are defined in the same BPM Project.
Both the Processes have 'None' Start and End activities.
The 'Parent Process' has a 'Call Activity' which calls the 'Sub Process'.
The Sub process takes a parameter of payload object as input and returns output (also same payload object)
I have passed the payload object from parent to sub process in the 'Data Associations'.
The Start and End activities in the sub process also have the data associations set where I am passing the payload object from parent process to child process.
When I run the process and see the Enterprise Manager console - Audit Trail / Flow tabs,
Flow Tab - The progress of the process is showing only till the Calling of the sub process in the Parent Process. It does not show the Sub Process.
Audit Trail Tab - Shows that the Sub Process is called but has not reached to the End of the Sub process.
The audit trail does not have links to the sub process activities.
I cannot see any exceptions as well in the audit trail.
How can I find out why the process is stuck? Or what is going on in the process?
Please let me know if my explanation is not clear?
    Thanks for any help
    Regards
    Sameer

    Thanks for replying.
I have another Sub Process with Start and End events as Message Events and used Send Task and Receive Task (Implementation : Process Call) in the Main process to invoke the sub process asynchronously.
Then, the Sub Process is shown in the 'Flow Trace' as child of the main process.
In this particular one, I used 'Call Activity' to call the sub process.
So the Audit trail is showing the sub process as a child.
But what I was trying to say is that the audit trail did not have links to the entries in the 'Event' column (in Enterprice manager - instance window). (like Instance entered activity, Instance left activity etc).
I was intending to use these links to see the payload information and try to debug if there is any problem with the code.
The actual problem I was trying to say in the post is that, even after the user responds to the activity (User Task - Approval) in the Sub process,
the audit trail is not proceeding further.
In the Sub process definition, after the user task, there is End with none implementation.
    Hope it is clear now.
    Thanks and Regards

  • LABVIEW.LIB was not called from a LabVIEW process

    Hi All,
I've inherited LV code that calls a CIN node to access a motor controller.  I'd like to compile this code to a .NET DLL, but receive the following error when calling it from an external source:
I've read the knowledgebase article explaining the problem from here, as well as the following support questions:
    http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/Labview-lib-was-not-called-from-a-labview-process/m-p/232548
    http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/Problem-with-lsb-LABVIEW-LIB-was-not-called-from-a-LabVIEW/m-p/48809...
    http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/Labview-lib-was-not-calld-from-a-labview-process/m-p/718427
    http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/Building-a-LabVIEW-DLL-with-VIs-that-use-CINs/m-p/632817
The conclusion seems to be recompiling is the answer.  I've tried recompiling the original CIN vi within LV with no success.  Do they mean to recompile the original C code against the newer labview.lib (sorry, I'm not all that familiar with how the CIN nodes work)?  Any suggestions would be awesome.  Thanks.
    -Joe

You can't make use of LabVIEW manager functions in non-LabVIEW based processes. Basically unless the C code is for a CIN or DLL that is to be called by LabVIEW (inside the development system or a LabVIEW built application), any function pulled in from labview.lib is not available. LabVIEW.lib is an import library that does not implement any functions but simply imports them from the LabVIEW kernel, either the LabVIEW development system or the LabVIEW runtime DLL. And no you can't just link in the LabVIEW runtime DLL into your .Net application. This DLL needs to be started up and initialized in very specific ways, that only LabVIEW itself knows about when building an application.
Basically if you want to recompile the code (yes in C/C++) for use in a non-LabVIEW application, you also have to remove all the link libraries from the LAbVIEW cintools directory, and replace any use of functions now unavailable (link error: unavailable external reference) with other similar functionality from your C runtime library. Or implement those functions yourself using C runtime library calls.
Another possibility could be to actually create a LabVIEW executable that exports the functionality as ActiveX Server. Or in LabVIEW 2010 you could also select to create a .Net Interop Assembly from inside the LabVIEW project.

  • LABVIEW.LIB was not called from a LabVIEW process when creating unit tests

We are developing a DLL to be integrated in LabVIEW using CLFs. So far we have the system working, but we wanted to create some unit tests in C as part of our release process. The problem is that when I link labview.lib in VS C++ and then call the EXE generated I get an error saying: "LABVIEW.LIB was not called from a LabVIEW process". As mentioned in http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/371361J-01/lvexcodeconcepts/debug_dlls_and_dll_calls/:
"Calling the shared library from another C program is also another way to debug the shared library. By calling the shared library from another C program, you have a means of testing the shared library independent of LabVIEW, thus helping you to identify any problems, sooner."
Some of our functions, however, use LabVIEW specific instructions and we would like to test them in a realistic environment (i.e., calling to the actual functions instead of creating stubs).
Is there any workaround to this problem?
    Thanks!!

    Hello SaraGr,
Welcome to the NI Discussion Forums! I have a couple of questions to better determine the issue here:
    1. What is the LabVIEW version that you are using?
    2. Does your DLL uses Serial Compatibility VIs? If so, try using your development on NI-VISA instead of Serial.
    3. Are you using a Code Interface Node (CIN)? If you do, I see that from the help file you would need to compile the code for the new platform. Also, please remember that functions specifc to CINs (such as SetCINArraySize) will not work in a DLL.
    4. Be sure to include the header files in your program, like extcode.h. Please follow this white paper to link labview.lib to your program, or follow the Alternate Method.

  • Calling another cache from within AbstractProcessor.process fails, why?

I want to enrich a certain data object in a distributed cache via the EntryProcessor framework. The new data is looked up from another nearby cache.
However, when calling otherCache.get(id) Coherence throws an exception saying that it does not allow blocking calls from within a processor:
*[java] Caused by: com.tangosol.util.AssertionException: poll() is a blocking call and cannot be called on the Service thread...*
Is this fixable? What am I missing? Does anyone recommend alternative ways to read data from other caches inside AbstractProcessor?
    Thanks in advance,
    -Stefan
This is the calling code that executes in the node where the primary object is:
    public class ExternalPropertiesUpdateProcessor extends AbstractProcessor implements PortableObject {
    @Override
    public Object process(InvocableMap.Entry entry) {
    Session session = null;
    if (entry.isPresent()) {
    session = (Session) entry.getValue();
    NamedCache cidCache = CacheFactory.getCache("cidCache");
    Long oldCid = new Long(97);
CidConversion cidCon = (CidConversion) cidCache.get(oldCid); // * it fails here with above exception!
    session.setCid(cidCon.getNewCid());
    session.setState(Session.SESSION_CLOSED);
entry.setValue(session); // make session changes durable in cache
    return session;

    Hi Rob
    You mention:
If you call back to the same cache service via an invocation service, you still risk a deadlock or a livelock due to thread-pool depletion. It looks like it is working, then you may run into the problem. It is not 100% safe.which sparked my interest. Would you mind elaborating a little further. I'd always assumed that the threadpools for separate services were independent and thus there was no chance of deadlock from cross-service calls such as this.
    Thanks in advance
    BenHi Ben,
as I mentioned, it can cause a problem if you indirectly call back to a service which was on the call stack.
    Let's see an example:
You send an entry processor to a cache in service A, which synchronously (with the query() method) calls to Invocation service I in which the invocable agent sends an entry-processor to service A (again) targeted to an entry on the same node.
Let's for the sake of the simplicity of the example suppose service A has a thread pool of size 2.
You send two such entry-processors on entries residing in the same node.
We now have a possible deadlock. If both entry-processors entered the first process() method (doesn't matter what entry as long as they are on the same node), they can both proceed into the invocation service call, but from that none of them can proceed further to the inner invoke() call, because there are no more free threads in service A!!! Poof, deadlock, both threads will wait until a thread becomes available... and none will become available because none of the service calls can proceed.
Of course, starting with 3.5 the Guardian will kill one of the threads (at least), and in earlier version it will also time out, but the point is that they will not be able to complete in this scenario.
    Best regards,
    Robert

  • How can we call a OSB proxy service from a BPEL process?

    Hi,
I want to call a OSB proxy service from a BPEL process. Can you please explain me the procedure?

Get the wsdl of the OSB proxy service and create webservice parnerlink in BPEL based on this wsdl to invoke the service
To form the wsdl url, copy the Endpoint URI  configured to the proxy service(just click on the proxy service in the console) from the sbconsole  - /ATHGPUM_GlidePathService/ProxyService/ATHGPUM_GlidePathProxyService
    Pre append <<protocol://OSB Hostname:OSB Port>>  - http://localhost:8000/   and post append with ?WSDL
The final WSDL url look like  - http://localhost:8000/ATHGPUM_GlidePathService/ProxyService/ATHGPUM_GlidePathProxyService?WSDL

  • WLI: Can't call synchronous web services from async business process?

I have three web services, X, Y, and Z, that I want to call from a business process B. X is asynchronous, Y and Z are synchronous. Therefore, B must be asynchronous. B is called from another business process, A, that must be synchronous. So, I have A call B synchronously using the SyncAsync pattern described in "Best Practices for Oracle WebLogic Integration Application Life Cycle". This worked fine in earlier development when I was only calling X from B. However, when I try to add synchronous calls to Y or Z and run A, I get the following error message from B:
com.bea.control.classic.ServiceControlException: Attempting to perform the client
callback 'doY' while servicing a blocking request from the same client.  This can
result in a deadlock condition.  An @jws:message-buffer tag should be placed on
the synchronous operation or on this callback. This is obviously an old error message, since it recommends an annotation in the old style. Anyway, what can I do? Shouldn't it be possible to invoke web services synchronously from process B? If so, then how? I don't know what synchronous operation it's talking about -- is it A's call to B? As for the callback, I don't see a separate callback. Annotating the SBControl's method with weblogic.jws.MessageBuffer did no good, and I can't use com.bea.control.annotations.MessageBuffer because the method doesn't return void. Can I make this work without rewriting B, and if so, how? It'd be nice if I could call X, and then call Y and Z while waiting for X's callback.
Alternatively, I could rewrite my processes so that A calls a new process C synchronously, which in turn calls B (which calls X), Y, and Z. That should work, right? Thanks for any help y'all can give me.

    Greetings everyone,
We have found a solution to this problem, and it is very much like one offered by Trinidad, except there was some confusion in my understanding.
    http://sql-patch/B1WS/webreferences/LoginService.wsdl
Indeed, the url http://localhost/Service.asmx appears in the WSDL files, as well as the web.config.
I changed it to http://sql-patch/B1WS/webreferences/LoginService.wsdl in the WSDL files only.  This did not work.
We then found it in the web.config file also, and changed it to http://sql-patch/B1WS/webreferences/LoginService.wsdl also.
The reason I was using this URL is because the files exist there.  Looking at IIS, there is no Service.asmx anywhere in the B1WS path, and this confused me.
This got us one step further, but now a new error was showing itself -- 405 Method Not Allowed.
It turns out that the URL we needed to change it to is this:
    http://sql-patch/B1WS/Service.asmx
That is, we replace localhost with the name of the machine, and NOTHING else.
This seems to have solved it for us, and is hopefully useful for you.
    Thanks all,
    Mike

  • Fatal error Labview.lib not called from a Labview process

in teststand my vi works fine with adapter set for LV development
when I configure the LV adapter for runtime, I get fatal error Labview.lib not called from a Labview process
    what is going on?
    how do I fix it?
    thanks.

    Howdy Stephen -
Are you by chance calling a LabVIEW DLL within your LabVIEW VI which is being called from TestStand?  I know this error occurs when a LabVIEW DLL built in a different version of LabVIEW than the selected Run-time Engine.
Here is a KnowledgeBase which references the issue:
KnowledgeBase 203EA3XC: LabVIEW.LIB Error When Calling a LabVIEW DLL Built with VIs That Use Externa...
If this is the case, you will need to open the LabVIEW DLL source VI in the LabVIEW version you are using and rebuild the DLL.
Thanks and have a great day!

  • Is it possible to invoke external REST web service hosted in WebLogic web application from an Adobe LiveCycle Process (ES-4)

Is it possible to invoke an external REST web-service hosted in WebLogic web application from an Adobe LiveCycle Process (ES-4) with parameters as input and manipulating the response depending on the type of parameters it gets back. Then invoking an Adobe Form and prepopulating the Form based on the response parameters? Do you have sample projects that do this invocation. The part highlighted in red is what I need examples.

You can simply use "Execute Script" operation in Workbench and make use of java.net.URL. Below links should help :

  • Submitting xml data and thereby kicking off LiveCycle Process

I have a simple form where I collect the data and put it in a field which contains xml. I also have a process that should be started when I click a button on the form. Hence I have made the databinding for the process SOAP endpoint and have made the binding to the xml-text field in the form.
However something is wrong, because nothing happens when I click the button.
So how do I submit xml-data to a LiveCycle process to kick it off through the form.
    Sincerely
    Kim

    Dear Mr. Ram KM,
The business mentioned above by you was absolutely perpect.
Adobe LiveCycle® ES (Enterprise Suite) is an integrated server solution that blends data capture, information assurance, document output, process management, and content services.
I may guess you have to install ADOBE LIVECYCLE WORKBENCH ES. The Adobe liveCycle Designer ES comes with Workbench ES once you installed. Please go through the below information, you may get some idea.
    1. Significance of folders in Documentum Repository (for all regions)
WorkBench -> where all work in progress or finalized templates should reside. Designer must carry his/her development of Form/Template design in this folder.
Schema -> where the XML Schema (Using which data needs to bound to the template) should reside. This schema should be the same across the entire region (dev, UAT, Prod).
Templates -> This is the run time folder. CPR application points to this folder while searching for templates. Designer should never work on this folder or move/copy any template from WorkBench to this folder. This action will be taken care of by CPR application.
Master Fragment Library -> All the fragments should reside inside this folder. Once one fragment is changed in this folder then change will be reflected immediately to all the templates that use this fragments.
    NEW TEMPLATE DESIGN
    2. Design approach through workbench ES.
Designer selects UAT region through WorkBench ES to do the development of the Forms/Templates.
Designer opens up an existing form/letter or creates a new form/letter through designer in Workbench ES
He/She caries out the design (forms/letters) in Workbench folder.
He/She carries out the design of fragments in Master Fragment Library folder.
Once designer is satisfied with design he/she right clicks on the document and goes to the history popup.
Select the latest document in the list and click on Save as button in the popup screen to save it to the local hard disk or any file system.
Designer now goes to CPR Application and click on Add button.
    The Add popup opens up.
Designer clicks on Browse button and adds the letter/forms she had downloaded to his/her disk and adds corresponding Meta data. He/She then hits Done. At this point behind the scene CPR application puts the corresponding letter/Form into Templates folder with all the meta data set.
The UAT test on the newly uploaded templates then happens.
Once the UAT is successful then the corresponding templates need to be promoted to Production.
First Step: Promoting new Fragments to Production
Administrator directly logs into Production fragment library folder and creates the fragments again in production. This needs to be done very carefully as this fragments will be available immediately for end users (on click of Save in the designer).
Note: The downloaded fragments (from UAT region) can be moved to production directly using drag and drop feature of Workbench ES.
Second Step: Promoting new templates to Production
If UAT is successful Administrator then uploads the template file into production the way he/she did in UAT region. He/she needs to put appropriate meta data in production also.
    EXISTING TEMPLATE MODIFICATION
    3. Design approach through workbench ES.
Designer selects UAT region through WorkBench ES to do the change of the existing Forms/Templates.
Designer opens up an existing form/letter or creates a new form/letter through designer in Workbench ES
He/She caries out the design (forms/letters) in Workbench folder.
He/She carries out the design of fragments in Master Fragment Library folder.
Once designer is satisfied with design he/she right clicks on the document and goes to the history popup..
Select the latest document in the list and click on Save as button in the popup screen to save it to the local hard disk or any file system.
Designer now goes to CPR Application and finds the templates he/she wants to modify.
Designer highlights the corresponding row and hits on Modify.
    The Modify popup opens up.
Designer clicks on Browse button and adds the letter/forms she had downloaded to his/her disk and edits corresponding Meta data (if needed). He/She then hits Done. At this point behind the scene CPR application puts the corresponding letter/Form into Templates folder with all the meta data set. Also it inactivates the older version if any.
The UAT test on the newly uploaded templates then happens.
Once the UAT is successful then the corresponding templates need to be promoted to Production.
First Step: Promoting existing Fragments to Production
Administrator directly logs into Production fragment library folder and updates the fragments again in production. This needs to be done very carefully as this fragments will be available immediately for end users (on click of Save in the designer).
Note: The downloaded fragments (from UAT region) can be moved to production directly using drag and drop feature of Workbench ES.

  • Error while invoking ESB process from a BPEL process

    Hi all
We have a requirement to call an ESB process from a BPEL process. We are using an adapter wth the ESB's WSDL url. After deploying the BPEL process, the registered ESB is getting called for most values while suddenly some values return the followign error
*"exception on JaxRpc invoke: HTTP transport error: javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: java.security.PrivilegedActionException: javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: Message send failed: Connection reset"*
The catch here is, if we re-run the process with the same values again, the ESB is called successfully! How is it possible for a process to error out and run normally for the same inputs ?
What could be the possible fix for this? I am thankful for any inputs on this.
    Vijay

    Hi Vijay,
This is a bug and you can refer the metalink note:

  • Trigger execution of a CR report from SAP BW Process chain

    Hi,
we want to trigger execution of a Crystal Report from a BW process chain.
What is the best way to do this?
Our CR reports are not saved to BW.
We are currently investigation the option of using a file event on the BO server and using an ABAP program step in the process chain to create the file using FTP. But we want to know if there is an easier way of doing this?
    Thanks and regards
    Jarle

    Hello Nathan,
your solution with the FTP script and a file being moved to the BO server sounds very interesting!
Actually that's what I would need to implement in my project.
Would it be possible for you to give me some information on how to write such a script and how to call it from the Process Chain? Any hint would be really precious!
    Thank you in advance!
    Best regards,
    Hubert
