Calling functions in the order I want?

In a Layer I have 2 functions, function1() and function2().
I am trying to call these function from an another Layer, in
following order:
function1();
function2();
But no matter what I do, Actionscript choose to call
function2() before function1(). I find this very strange.
Something is wrong. Do you know what?

Well, the evidence is pretty simple.
In Layer A I write:
function myFunction1(){
trace(“test1”);
function myFunction2(){
trace(“test2”);
In Layer B I call these functions
_root.myFunction1();
_root.myFunction2();
I should expect:
test1
test2
No matter what I do, "test2" appears before "test1".
When you are testing this, make sure that you are calling the
functions from different Layer. Read the link myIP has posted!

PSE 3, Can't burn DVD in the order I want

This may sound like the easiest thing to do but I cannot burn a DVD of jpgs in the order I want. I have file of photos taken on two different cameras at slightly different times. I re organized all the photos in a collection but I cannot figure out how to burn a DVD of these jpgs in that order. I select all teh photos in the collection but when I go to File-Burn it wants to burn the catalog, not the collection. I tried creating a slide show but that doesn't seem to get me anywhere either.

Absolutely fantastic. Export did it just like your instructions above. When I view the DVD as a slide show all the photos are where I want them to be which is now the new order on the disc. PSE usually has a solution for most everything but if you don't what it is you don't know where to go.
By the way. I got a new laptop and desk unit about a year ago both with Vista HP. I loaded my PSE3 on both and have not had a problem with either one as far functionality. Bear in mind though I don't consider myself to be an expert user so there may be some things that don't work as they should. Thanks again.

How do I make sure AddInstance adds the extra pages in the order I want?

My project is nearly complete. All thats left is to get the add instance button at the bottom of the second page to function in the way I want. Currently it's set on click with the following script.

When I click the button it adds a copy of the frontpage after the original frontpage, and a copy of the backpage after the original backpage. This is not what I had in mind. I need it to keep each front and backpage together, and add each repeated front and back page after the backpage so if you were to click the button multiple times you would get several copys of the same two page form.

How can I fix this so it works the way I want?
The binding tab for each page is set to "Repeat Subform for each Data Item" and an initial count of "1" with no minimum and no maximum.

Why not wrap the front and back page into another subform (I will call it doc). Then you woudl only have to repeat doc.

I have a PC. When I upload more than one photo I need to move them to where they print in the order I want them to print. How can I do this?

I have a PC. When I bring my uploaded photos from my computor into the organizer, I want to rearrange them so when I print them they come out in the order I want them to print. Any reccomendations on how to do this? I need rearrange them and need to print about four photos per page.

In IPhoto I have edited the order of my images. When I play the album on Apple TV the order reverts back to the time stamp. Any suggestions on how to get the images to play on my TV in the order I want?

Apple TV won't play back my album images from IPhoto in the edited order I want. The order seems to revert back to the time stamp for the photos. I have combined the photos from 3 different cameras and they had slightly different clock settings. I am working on an edited presentation of about 1500 Pics from travels in Turkey this summer and sometimes the order makes more sense if I move some of the images quite a ways. Is there any solution short of changing the time stamp on every single image?

Using the 'adjust date and time' setting is the best way to syncronise the photos from all your cameras. However as you say this merely puts them all in the correct order chronologically.
If there are photos that you feel would be best somewhere else in an album other than in date order, it may depend on how many as to which is the best option for you. If it's only a few you may wish to adjust the date/time on these few manually so they fit in with the rest where you want them.
If you have a lot of photos you want in a different order to the order by date, or you really don't care about what date/time is used and just want them in the order you want them in, then 'batch change' is the best option.
From the view menu, select 'sort photos - manually', drag the photos around until they are in the order you want, select all of them. Now select the batch change option and choose 'Date' from the 'set' options, type in a date and time for the first photo, it can be anything but it's probably a good idea to choose something close to the original date, then check the box 'Add'. You can keep the value set at 1 minute or enter any value you want, it may be more realistic to divide the length of your holiday by the number of photos you have to calculate a value, but it really isn't necessary. Clicking OK will adjust all the dates without affecting the title or description and the photos will now show on the Apple TV in that order.
Just to be sure iTunes is updated, you may want to go to the advanced menu/choose photos to share in iTunes and deselect the album, apply, reselect the album and apply again.

The best way to get the songs in the order that you want is to make a playlist and then sync it over. Once the playlist is set, all you have to do is set to sync playlist in the music tab.

To ensure a custom ordering, sort the files in an album and rename the files with a sequentially numbered filename.
File > Export > Version/Originals
Then use "Filename > Sequential"
or "Filename > Album name with index"

When I sync music to iPod how ca I get it to sync in the order I want the playlist verse the radom rder it keeps putting it in?

Chris, The sequence number is the first column of numbers, to the left of the Name column. It always goes 1, 2,3 etc. It is not the same as the Track Number, which has its own column.
As a precaution before burning, make sure that Shuffle is tunred off, and that you right-click the playlist name and choose 'Copy to Play Order" (although technically they should not affect the burn).

Itunes will not list my songs in the order i want.

about 5 minutes ago it was working... and now itunes somehow jumbled up all my songs on "My Ipod". and now it won't even give me the option of dragging them into the order i want. what went wrong?

SINCE UPGRADE
I have encountered the same problem and now have over 6000 songs jumbled up, each with their own coresponding album cover even though they belong to one specific album.. when clicking at 'quickly browse your itunes library' it displays the albums correctly but with the songs listed alphabetically rather than in the order the artist put them down on the album originally!
Is there any solution?

i want to generate Ids for the follwing. for that i created query for INSERTING RECORD FROM ONE TABLE TO ANOTHER , generation the ids when button pressed "Generate" after selecting parameters,
Now where i call that QUERY on button ? because when i create button its gives me option to submit, defined dynamic action, etc, pls gudie me where i call the function name id_generation when button pressed?.

by defualt check box list are create delete submit button are created, first when i insert record it saves that was fine, e.g i entered 50 records and afterward i want to update only one record, e.g there is a record product name = box, if i change it to box small and click submit then it saves all the page means all 50 records,
i want to submit only that record that i changed, for that i use the logic that only those records should be updated which are checked but the user. how will i do this ? where to use the preocess , please guide

If I understand what you are trying to do is correct you could possibly do this by:
Creating and AFTER INSERT trigger on the table based on the tabular form which inserts the record into a seperate table after the record is inserted something like:
CREATE OR REPLACE TRIGGER copy_records
AFTER INSERT ON table a
REFERENCING NEW AS NEW OLD AS OLD
FOR EACH ROW
DECLARE
BEGIN
INSERT INTO table b
VALUES :NEW.col1, :NEW.col2 etc......

There is also a way that you could do it within the form using a cursor on the tabular form with APEX_APPLICATION.G_ ......

There is one another parameter i.e. Currency and i entered the value for currency as INR. and also enter the other parameters
I want that as this currency INR enter,it call that currency conversion function and convert the data in INR.
and when i click the OK button in Parameter wizard I want to see the same data in INR currency.

I am trying to burn a DVD from an iphoto album, I placed it in the order I want , but it does not burn in that order, and has picked up other photos not in the album

I have created an album of phots, moved into order I want to burn, cd and dvd. It burned out of order in album and also added pictures not in Album highlighted to burn. Also was hard to view all pictures and move more quickly into order to view. I am use to using powerpoint and shows all slides at 1 time small thumnails so easy to move

Re the order on the DIsk:
When you export from iphoto you are in the Finder and that doesn't have the same sorting options as iPhoto. There is no "manual" sorting in the Finder, for instance.
Here's one (of several) way(s) to do what you want:
Make an Album of the photos, then drag the pics into your preferred order.
Then Photos Menu: Batch Change -> Set Title to Text "John's Birthday", for instance, and tick the box to append a number to each Photo. Now your photos are titled 'John's Birthday 001, John's Birthday 002 ... etc'
Then File -> Export and in the Export dialogue set the Filename to "Use Title"
Sort on Filename in the FInder and you end up with a folder full of images in the same order as the Album in iPhoto.
Burn that to the disk.
